He is useless, you spend the first half of class to talk about random math. He gets on many tangents, and class goes so slow. If you learned how to do something one way he takes a harder approach and confuses you I really would recommend not taking him if you have even slightest interest in math. most people are on facebook or reading in class

His grading system is very confusing, and he seems to make it up as he goes. He can be very rude in personal e-mails. His theory is to assign "homework that takes at least double the amount of time to complete that is in a class period ie: 2 1/2 hrs of HW for 1 hr 15 min class" He says he won't allow calculators in future semesters. Don't take him.

Professor Jones is awful. Only goes over problems in class and rarely explains procedure. Homework is done before explanation, nearly all of it is done online. Tests are almost exactly like practice tests, but without outside help exams are impossible to make good grades on. Extremely rude to students and just not helpful at all.

Definitely one of the best professors/teachers that I've ever had. If you go to class, do the homework, go to SI, and go his office hours you're almost guaranteed to do well. This is the best I've ever done in a math class before, and he makes sure that he does everything that he can to make his students succeed

Gives out an unbareble amount of homework. His lectures often goes past when class ends. He'll call out on random students constantly. However is is very reachable and helps you out when you're struggling.

Gives 30-40 homework questions after each class, sometimes 2 assignments. He calls on random people in class all the time and takes attendance every class. His lectures are very hard to follow if you need a lot of examples to understand something. He has a lot of office hours and 4 hour study sessions on the Sundays before tests which are helpful.

If you have the chance to take Dr. J's class, definitely do so. I'm by no means gifted when it comes to math, but because of this prof I was able to make an A. If you go to class, SI, office hours, and do homework, it's very doable if you put in the effort

I hate math and I'm not very good at it, but Dr. Jones was a really nice guy who you can tell wants his students to do well. GO TO THE SI SESSIONS AND TEST REVIEWS. It will help IMMENSELY. The homework won't really help you with tests in my opinion, but it's an easy A.

I'm generally good at math and he just makes no sense. How he teaches is so hard to follow and he likes to use different formulas then what was taught in high school. He is available outside of class a lot and shows he cares but he just isn't good at explaining math

Dr. Jones is a great professor, and actually cares about his students doing well (but you have to go to him to get the help). Replaces lowest exam with final exam grade. Doesn't give extra credit but gave a 3-4 hour review session before every exam which really helped. Do the homework, it will give a nice grade boost.
