Tests are multiple choice. Many are questions from quizzes. Teacher is not strict. Didn't have to read textbook much at all. He could have made the class a lot harder, so there's not much to complain about, except I didn't feel like I really learned in depth.

If you can stay awake during his lectures then you will do fine! Take some coffee...really! All the information is presented to you in powerpoint doccuments and all questions come from these. Exams are full of previous quiz questions. Nice guy but bring the coffee.

He was very clear & to the point in his lecture. Powerpoint notes were the main focus & as long as you pay attention & study the handouts, you will do well. I would take any other class from him because he was helpful and fair.

I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Bruce for Bio 123, A&PI L, and A&PII L and lecture. He is ALWAYS willing to help, he is fair, patient, and kind. Before tests he will give pep-talks and is overall very encouraging! He is by far one of the greatest professors around. Do take him for any Bio class needed. Put forth effort and you will do well.

He is so adorable. He is funny and very helpful. All his tests and quiz's come from the notes he hands out. I would recomend him, he is a great teacher.

Fabulous! I was so nervous that I would not do well or understand the information in A&P. But, after taking the class with Dr. Lehnert, I feel better about going into A&P II, which I will be taking with him also. Great instructor, pay attention to lecture notes and you'll do just fine.

Dr. Bruce is a great professor! I have never had a professor like him that actually knew what he was talking about. He is very caring and helpful as well as willing to go the extra mile for his students, the tests are easy to understand if you study the lecture handouts. If you need help feeel free to ask him! I wish he would teach patho!

He is an excellent lab instructor. He makes everything easy to understand. He doesn't make you memorize as much as other instructors but that doesn't mean the class is any easier. You still have to know your stuff.

I thought he was very good, makes it crystal clear what will be on your tests. He just expects you to know your stuff.

Awesome Instructor!!!! Easy "A" in the class if you just study his notes. I never utilized the text just his notes. I learned so MUCH!! He is somewhat monotone, so have your caffiene prior to class. Very knowledgeable, reliable, fair, JUST PLAIN AWESOME!!!!

Dr. Bruce is an awesome instructor, if you take him you won't ever really need the book, all his test questions come from his handouts...he does have a tendency to make you sleepy but other than that I highly recommend him!!!

All material handed out and gone over via powerpoint but there is an enormous amount of info. Exams are worth 50 points apiece and quizzes are 10 points each but.....there are 60-100 multiple choice questions per quiz/exam .......depending on his mood.

Dr. Bruce is a great instructor. He provides lecture notes that are power point based and he tests on the material that is covered in lecture. You will have to study hard to do well but he is always available to help if you need it. There is a lot of material to cover in the class but he is well versed.

Bruce is an awesome teacher! His lecture notes are thick and its a lot of info but as long as u study them u will get an A. There are no surprises. Everything on the tests is in the notes. If u take his lab take your time and do the homework. It really counts alot and if its great he will give u xtra pts. I LOVE HIS HAIR (or lack there of)!

This prof is a little repetitive but that was very helpful to me. He will try to help anyone who asks and has extra sessions just for ???s and study.

YAY! Took Lehnert for AP1. If you study the notes he conveniently provides, you will do well on exams. No trick questions or surprises on exams. Very accomodating. I really felt like he cared about us as students and wanted us to succeed...unlike other professors, ahem, Susan Johnson. He's funny too!

He is simply the most outstanding and caring professor I have ever encountered. Any student who might think otherwise lacks scholarship and can not recognize excellence. He cares about all of his students and works tirelessly to ofer them the opportunity to succeed.

I love Bruce man! A&P is a hard class, you're learning about at least half of the functions of the body within 3 months, it's not easy! I am not an A student, but so far, I've only failed one test the whole class. If you stick to the end, its so worth it! And a word of advice, don't take the devil duckie for tests.

Bruce cracks me up @ times! He really cares if you pass & will help all he can. He's tough & his tests are tricky but if you hang in there you'll be glad you did. I've taken him for 2 Bio's so far & will take him again! YOU HAVE TO STUDY!!

Excellent teacher. Very clear and organized lesson plans: covers what you need to know, and also emphasizes what you'll need for exams. Am I the only one who thinks this guy is hot? Ah well, I'm a sucker for the brainy ones.

Bruce is an excellent teacher. It is not an easy class but he is pretty clear on what you have to do to pass the tests. He's kinda corky and monotone but really funny, nice, and helpful.

Very talented educator. Extremely intelligent and caring. His classes are hard but worth the work. Students that are immature or not dedicated to excellence will not do well. All answers to exams are in the notes he provides, but it does require intense studying!

Great instructor but you have to study very hard. There is no skating in Bruce's class. Even though all quizzes & exams are from the notes, the notes are extremely detailed. He cares that you succeed & always helps. Boring delivery but who says it has to be entertaining? Its A&P! You learn it or you don't. Its up to you & the effort you put forth.

Bruce is a great instructor. He gives you note packs to follow his lecture. Everything you need to know is in his lecture notes. Don't get me wrong, Biology is not an easy subject. I got an A, but I did study very often. Definitely get a study group together for this class. He also grades on a curve using the Highest achievable score.

VERY hard instructor, but still definately a man you want to learn from. He is passionate about the human body, and you can really tell by the way that he teaches. Definately worth your time if you want to really LEARN something. I've only taken one with him so far, and hope to enjoy A&P Lab with him also. Thanks, you are awesome!

Bruce is very tough but you will learn the material. As long as you study his notes you will ace the class. U have to be committed and study hard. Hes very nice and super funny. I love him! :)

Very tough on you, but fo rgood reason. He makes you learn the material, very helpful if you have questions or need clarification. You will learn alot if you put in the dedication to learn, he won't let you fall behind if you show you are really trying.

I loved Biology already, but I learned so much more here than I did at NMSU! Wonderful teacher, very helpful, excellent explanations, and I love that he offers PDF copies of his lectures. Always willing to help his students! Highly recommended!

Dr. Lehnert is amazing and his system is challenging with rewards that reflect truly well learned material. Many people will complain about this professor in attempt to blame him for their shortcomings. If you want a class where you get by doing the bare minimum then go find another class because you have to really study and earn your grade.

Great teacher, his classes are tough but they teach you what you need to know. He is very smart and knows his stuff. I have taken 2 classes with him so far and am taking him again.

Bruce really wants you to be successful. He doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. He likes when you ask him questions if youre not clean. Lectures can sound like a tour guide, but in lab he's awesome. I'd definately take him again. Few quizzes. Exams are multiple choice. Some drawing required, but offers extra credit.

Bruce is a very helpful teacher. He has announced and unannounced Quizzes that may be graded or taken just for your benefit.He lectures from his power point every class meeting which he sends to your MyCNM account and gives you a hard copy. He is very willing to help by phone, email, and in person. You just need to ask. U will need to study!

Bruce is a good teacher. Very willing to help you in any way-he tells you every time b4 you leave class. A lot of material to cover, he took the time to recreate notes for you and his tests are off those notes along w/lecture. Has a sense of humor but hard to stay awake in class at times. I learned a lot from him.

I was worried about Bio but Bruce made it interesting. he gives you notes on his lectures so all you have to do is LISTEN. Tests are easy if you studied the notes & listened. I had a personal trouble and he was willing to work w/me. Answered my emails & phone calls & stayed late to help clarify things. He sincerely wants you to succeed.

I love his class. A&P I is a challenging subject but Bruce makes it understandable. He is the most organized instructor I've ever had. I disagree completely that Bruce is monotone. If you show up to class, listen intently and study the notes he gives you, you will do well. He motivates you to excel. Summer classes in A&P are twice the challenge!

I had Bruce for A&PII this past summer, and he's a great instructor. He is not monotone. He speaks clearly and at a pace that makes it easy to keep up. He is easy to approach, so asking questions is not a problem. He is willing to spend extra time with students that may need extra help, especially before the final exam. I got an A in his class.

I had Lehnert for A&P I lecture over the summer and for this class. Awesome! He definitely is hard and if studying is not one of your habits, this is not the class for you. He gives you a set of notes and you don't even have to pick up the text book, just need to know what he gives you in the notes. Very very helpful and nice

Favorite class this semester! He always answered my questions and never made me feel stupid. Gives a condensed version of the book as lecture notes that are totally helpful. He seems to love being a teacher. I am taking him again for A & P II. Loved it!!

I have taken A&P I at UNM and decided to try CNM for A&P II- Best decision of my life ! Bruce is the best instructor for such difficult material. The test are not easy, but he really does prepare you for it. Bruce is also very easy to approach with questions. I recommend him for both A&P I and II. You will be happy with your decision to take him !

Bruce is a very good teacher, he makes time for his students and will make time to help you. BE ADVISED his tests are very hard. This class is not for slacker students or for students expecting to breeze through. There is a ton to study and if you do not devote a great deal of time to studying you will not pass.

Dr.Lehnert is AWESOME!He breaks down the exponential amount of mind numbing material in A&P I,and condenses it to the A&P equivalent of 'War and Peace". He knows his "stuff and is always willing to help, but you need to be willing to commit to this class. Difficult exams, but no trick questions. I highly recommend him, especially for A&P.

There is no need to memorize slides, Dr. Bruce just has them (you don't even have to read the book unless you really don't get it) for your own benefit. He will help you learn in a fun way, and he won't treat you like a child. Exams are straightforward, no tricks, no reasons to second guess yourself. He knows his stuff, I highly recommend!

Power Point pkts are 75 to 125 pgs each.I studied 30hours for first exam and got 84.This class is hard. Be prepared.I record and listen to his lectures 3 times each lots of time involved to survive this class. If you do NOT have that time change your major or you will be humbled with this course. Some extra credit offered.

I took his A&P I lecture this summer and it was great! His notes provide a lot of info on the topic, but he does not test u on the toughest details of his notes. "Teach hard, test moderate" that's what he told me once. If you really want to learn something, and have spare time to do it (for me it was ~15hr per week to get an A) take his class!

This class is hard. Takes a lot of committment to do well. He goes strictly off powerpoints and some of them have about 150 pages. Class a little dry and boring sometimes because he just reads from the powerpoint which is something you can do yourself. When questions are asked sometimes he will make you wait until he gets to that point. Ok teacher.

A&P is a hard subject so of course you really need to study and study in this class to make it.Dr.Bruce is the nicest professor i have ever had.Better take A&P with him he makes it easy for everybody but you need to need to help yourself and study!

Bruce provide concise instruction in form of a lecture - Provides recomended printable powerpoints that you can follow through with in class since to uses them along side his lecture - also useful to make notes on your printed copy - Can study directly from them and skip the book if you want - All test material comes from them - HEAVY TESTER

LOVE DR. LEHNERT! The content forces you to find your learning style-- it is a lot of complex material. Many Bio 1410 professors don't adequately prepare students for this class and people struggle under the pressure and difficulty. I love this class- but it took me a while to figure out how I needed to study. I EARNED an A!

Bruce is a fun guy. He has a different type of sense of humor but he will help you if you don't understand. There are a lot of slides given to study for his exams. I took him for AP1 and AP2. I got an A in both. You only get 2 take home quizzes but if you do them they help understand how he words his test. Study the slides and you will do well.

Bruce is an AWESOME teacher. No trick questions on tests. No need to buy the book. He gives powerpoint slides for everything you need to know. Don't get me wrong, you're going to have to put a LOT of time into this class, but I received an A. Take Bruce! He also curves your grade and gives one opportunity for extra credit.

I took Dr. Lenhart. People don't know how to study? I recorded his lectures then I put the PP up on my computer so I would listen to him explain the material up to 6x. The "practice" quiz will help you better understand how he asks questions on the exam. Sit on left side of classroom. If you want an "A" it requires 100% dedication.

This class is HARD!It takes a lot of study time, & dedication.He gives you power points with EVERYTHING you need to know in them, he doesnt deviate from the Power Points.Record the lectures & listen to them over 0& over.I tok his A&P1&2 classes & passed with an A both times.I found note cards were the best way to study...1000's of note cards!

The class did require a lot of studying but overall Bruce is a great teacher! He always was available for any questions and would respond to emails immediately. I would highly recommend this teacher!

All material for this class is given on a power point, just study the power point and you will pass this class..

This is What a College Professor should be. Not playing favorites or trying to be liked. The class is hard. Very hard, you should be prepared if you have never taken A&P but that's the nature of the class, Proffessor will ask you to memorize his slides. You need that for a&p 2. I never opened the book don't need it! His slides are all u need.

Test are from his PowerPoints. If you focus and read the PowerPoints 2-3 timers before a test, you should do well. Very specific questions on tests. He also gives small hints of what you should known by repeating or expressing the subject matter.
