Dr. Mason is one of my favorite professors. There are many things that your grade consists of (homework, quizzes, tests, earn-backs, extra credit...) which is very helpful to your grade. Tests are hard, but extra credit REALLY helps. Your grade is made up of quizzes, homework, participation, lectures, etc. So it helps your grade a lot. Dr. Mason is awesome. #1 tip: GO TO CLASS! I personally felt that he explained things really well. Lecture attendance isn't mandatory but recitation is. There were plenty of sample problems/prep available for all exams, plus test earn-back opportunities. HW load is manageable. He is also super approachable and responds to emails quickly. Great guy!

Dr. Mason is absolutely fantastic! He is the best professor I had during my freshman year. I hated physics in high school and was nervous for this class, but his lectures are really helpful and there are lots of good example problems that are almost exactly the same as what is on the tests. He's very approachable for office hours as well.

I would say for me, Mason was not the best professor, since his teaching style was confusing and seemed like it fitted for those who knew more of physics than me. I pretty much had to learn on my own to learn all the concepts. But I would say that he was fair with the tests, as he graded partial credit for setting up the equations and solving it.

Bruce Mason is a great guy and a great lecturer. His handwriting made it very difficult to follow along. You have a tutorial and homework assignment per week, which take a lot of time to complete but you have many tries to get the right answer. Tests are graded very generously. Recitation is hard, but as long as you show up you'll be fine.

Bruciepoo made physics easy to understand! The lectures were pretty boring but he did his best to make them engaging. There's a lot of assignments but not all are required to get full credit (def do them all for practice tho) and the tests were very similar to the reviews.

Dr. Mason explains things well in lectures, and they are mostly easy to follow. However, beware of the large workload that comes with this class. The questions on the assignments are harder than the examples we did in class, which can be frustrating. Nevertheless, he is very accessible outside of class for questions. Overall, I recommend him!
