If this is the first time you'll be taking accounting, I recommend you take him, you learn a lot from him , but make sure you are not taking a lot of units because hw is a lot, and I mean a lot and they are due at the day he said it will be due, he gives half credit for late hw.

he is a good teacher for sure. he knows how to teach, relly helpful. but he makes you to print like 60 pages at home everyweek for h.w, since he's too lazy to make hand-outs for us. and he keeps on sayin that tests will be based on h.w, but trust me on this, his test are HARD HARD. weekly quizzes are easy, don't be fooled freaking hard grader too

This class is not as hard as some people say. The hardest part is the homework--which there is A LOT of. The homework takes forever to finish. His tests are kind of difficult, too. Automatic F if you miss a homework or miss a few classes. The tests are easy if you do both the homework and practice questions but there are some questions from the book that seem to come out of nowhere. Take if you have time to do the homework.

Professor Maule is too clear. He wears a microphone so that you can hear his every word. He is a very passionate man and will definetely help you. Homework is essential to passing the class.

He is one of the best professors that I've ever hard! He explains topics very clearly in class and he is very supportive outside class room as well. I wish he would teach intermediate accounting II though... Only complains that I have is he doesn't tell jokes at all. But it's better than putting up with bad jokes.

If this is your first accounting class you may struggle with terminology, etc. I recommend taking ACTG 100 first. Do not fall behind. Boring, but very structured and clear in how the class works. He is willing to put in extra time to help you. His lectures are fast paced.Grade based on exams+extra credit(DO ALL EXTRA CREDIT).

Prof Maule spends a great deal of time creating his powerpoints to be the perfect suppliment to the textbook. The only way to truly get the material is to read the book, attend the lectures and do all the homework. He's extremely helpful and wants you to succeed! It's a difficult subject and he gets you through it.

I took 100 with him, it was very easy, 121 is more difficult to understand and sometimes his explanations are not perfectly clear. Do HW, Excel As., review power point slides he uses but DO NOT BUY the book until you really need it. You might don't need it at all and just go to the library to review some chapters before a test.

He forget that not everyones been working with accounting for 50 years like he has. You can learn a lot by putting work into his class, but when it comes to his tests, they are nothing like his homeworks and quiz. I felt like I could have studied my heart out and still not have been ready for his curve ball final.

I must say that he is the best math/accounting/anything teacher I have ever had. He makes you want to do homework just to be able to understand the material. Easy A=All extra credit work and My ACTG LAB work, which will prepare you for the final because they are simply repeating the questions you have already seen. Plus 5000 EX cred pts= guaranteed

Mr. Maule is a great instructor! Although there is a lot of homework to do, this is optional, and it will help you to pass the class. Do the homework, practice at least once a week, be on class everyday, and you'll get an A! If you hate accounting, you should take his class. Trust me, he'll make it painless.

His class is fairly straight forwards as long as you do the My Accounting Lab assignments as that's what the exams are based on. Lectures are boring but helpful as he goes over the material thoroughly. Be warned for the final exam as there is a lot of material crammed in at the last minute, so your best bet is to do the exam reviews online ASAP.

Mr. Maule is a great teacher. Although the class is difficult, he really tries to help you get a good grade. I wouldn't recommend missing more than two lessons though. All in all, a great teacher!

Professor maule is a really informative and clear teacher. All of his classes are lectures though but are real helpful. Easy e/c points available making it easy to pass the class with a C. Work online is also very simple. Exams are hard so expect to stay up late for study sessions! But Professor Maule is always happy to help! Definitely recommend.

Be prepared for at least 2 hours of homework every night, if you want the 10% extra credit offered. The online homework is difficult it includes concepts that are not discussed in class. Maule is extremely helpful, however. Overall this class is NOT easy! You will have to put in a lot of work to succeed in this class.

Bruce is a very kind hearted teacher with good intentions. He truly wants every one of his students to succeed and will go out of his way to help you. Mr. Maule is a great teacher! Even though ACTG 121 is a difficult subject, Mr. Maule does his best to help his students. Power point is helpful because it includes all main material which you need to know. Also, Mr. Maule provides extra information and examples from real life.

Bruce Maule is a great lecturer who is able to present very dry material in a way that is relevant and often quite humorous. He is also very responsive to suggestions from students. This semester, he changed the format of his quizzes (best one of three), and the full-length exams (instead of 3-hour exams, exams are broken into one-hour sections)

BY far the most challenging accounting class - both Intermediate I and II - that I have ever taken. However, Prof. Maule proved to be the most well prepared, most thorough, and most helpful accounting professor that I have ever known. Intermediate I and II are not easy classes and you will need to work hard just to keep up but I loved it!

Bruce is the head of the Accounting Dept. at CSM. However, he is down to Earth, approachable & has a disarming sense of humor. In addition, he has an incredible command of the material. During the semester, Bruce asked for students' feedback. He was responsive to our requests regarding exam length & difficulty. Bruce is genuine and enthusiastic.

I really like the way he teach. He scheduled everything which was more easy for me to did my Hw and prepared the quiz step by step. No like some teachers, they made the schedule but never follow it. Nice teacher! I may choose accounting for my major because the class boosted my confidence a lot.

I appreciated that he tried to make the course more interesting by making jokes. He also didn't make us buy the latest edition of the textbook so I only paid $1.60 for mine on Amazon. This class was easy provided you did all the homework. There was a lot of homework however.

Just took his Accounting 100 class. He's very good at explaining the material and he'll answer your questions when you have them. He gives extra credit weekly but don't go skipping class because he gives extra credit for you coming in too!

One of my favorite classes and teachers so far throughout my JC journey. Majoring in Business? This class is a must! so many problems for EC and online! You need to put the hours online to pass this class. ACT 100 is not really necessary if you're going to do all the online hw and work. Definitely learned a lot, and it's a great class!

I just took his Accounting 100 class. He's very good at answering any questions you have in class or after class. He explain the material well, easy to understand his lectures and slides. Very friendly and helpful professor!

He's a great teacher, I had him for Accounting 100 and passed the class easily, but Accounting 121 is a lot harder. I wish he lectured less and had us practice the classwork more, since it's easier to apply what we learned immediately rather than waiting until when homework was due. I feel like I somewhat wasted my workbook.

Professor Maule is one of the best professors at CSM. If you don't have any business or accounting background you need to listen to his lectures, read the textbook, and do extra homework. He gives the opportunity to raise your grade up to 10%. There are midterms and a final test. He has great music preferences, so the class is not boring at all!

Professor Maule is a very open and helpful teacher. This class is not a free A, it was quite a challenge to do get a grade I was happy with. Most of your grade comes from tests that are based on the work you do outside of class. If your are capable of determining what is important and what the professor wants you to know for tests, you should be OK

Up to 10% in extra credit possible. The final is worth 40% of your grade, which seems daunting, but if you put in the work, an A is very much possible. I only read from the textbook once because I found out that I didn't really need to as long as I paid attention in class. Recommend not skipping. He's one of the best teachers I've had at CSM.

This Professor has been quite amazing! I have had him for two consecutive semesters and all the way through he has had great faith in me! For ACTG121, the starting is cake just do the few homework assignments plus the extra credit, and you will build the fundamentals to pass the harder ending to this class which requires allotted time for study! :)

I've had really bad teachers and I've had really good teachers like Prof. Maule. He takes a boring and sometimes difficult to understand topic and finds a way to drill it into your brain. There is a lot of homework but designed in a way that you retain the information. If you do the homework and the (tons) of extra credit this class is an EASY A.

I am writing this review after completing Bruce Maule's final exam for ACCT 121. Probably the most prepared professor I've had to date at CSM and structures the class for you to succeed. Offers plenty of extra credit which serves as a quiz/ test prep on a weekly basis. Really cares about the student and wants to see everyone perform well.

Extremely understanding, kind, and patient. Wants all students to succeed and has no problem helping you until you understand the problem. Responds to Emails ASAp and is very reliable.

He is super nice and makes funny jokes every once in a while, he likes to play music before class and is always energetic. He wants you to pass the class, and offers so much extra credit. There is no excuse to not pass his class. Tests are super important, if you have an A and take the final and fail, you can drop to a C

He gives you every opportunity to get your grade up through LOADS of extra credit. If you can't pass the class, it's because you didn't try. He always tries to be helpful and asks if anybody has any questions and take advantage of the fact that he stays after class every day to help. He is one of the best teachers at CSM.

Class requirements are well communicated so you know exactly what you need to do before the semester beings. Class material is interesting and informative. He is very helpful for those of you who want to learn more about accounting. I took his online accounting ethics class and it was fun! His class was up to date and he uses many outside web based important and fun materials. I learned so much and he always provided me very positive encouragement so that I could complete his class lot earlier.

Prof. Maule said many times "I want you to have a great experience in this course" and he meant it. No textbook is used for this class, instead, online resources like AICPA courses, Roger CPA, were used. He sent scholarship program and job opportunities to us. He is very responsive and I even got an opportunity to have dinner together with him!

Perfect online structure. The homework does require much time, but he is beyond fair in making sure students can get it done and is always reaching out to students to let them know he is available should we have any questions. Finally, he responds quickly to emails, which is great for online students.

Professor Maule is the best pick for a financial accounting professor. 4th time taking ACTG 121 and I finally made it out with an A. His classes are lecture heavy, attendance is mandatory. Do ALL of the HW assignments, including EC, and I guarantee you will have an A. Lot's of work but they are all exam Q's. EC is up to a 10% grade bump.

If you can do all of those extra credit, online assignments, and take quizzes regularly, you will definitely get an easy A.

I took the online accounting Ethics with Professor Maule I was extremely happy with all efforts and help he provided throughout the course, He is extremely responsive to e-mail messages as well as providing all possible solution. He makes online learning experience valuable.

Solid accounting professor. Dry humor. Only downside is that the online homework (Pearson) is formatted quite differently than the physical homework, and the online homework portal is finicky with entering and grading positive and negative numbers. But you'll be fine if you read the text, keep up with the work, be patient, and think critically.

If you want to be a good student and really learn something, Bruce is a good choice.

Absolutely amazing professor for a relatively difficult class! Accounting is not very easy, but professor Maule somehow made things crystal clear for me! As long as you show up, pay attention, keep your phone in your bag, and do your homework, youll go far. Unlimited hw attempts and quizzes are just hw problems, no reason to not have an A online.

This was an online course so there was some self-teaching but what I loved the most was the ability to set my own pace. I had all semester to finish the course but completed it in about 6 weeks. Great course! I highly recommend it.

This was a great course that is offered online. You can set your own pace which was awesome. I finished in about 6 weeks and was able to clear my calendar for other classes. I do recommend buying a used book on financial management to help with some of the problems if you don't buy access to the online book.

This was a self-paced class to learn 10-key so it was pretty straightforward. I finished it in less than 3 weeks. Prof Maule opens up the class in Canvas weeks before class starts allowing you to start before the semester starts. Great class and easy if you do all the assignments.

I've heard great things about Professor Maule and had the pleasure of taking his online ACTG 169 class this last Spring. He provides clear instructions regarding his assignments and grades fairly. He is encouraging to his students and does his best to help those who might be struggling. I definitely recommend Professor Maule.

I have taken both ACTG 100 and ACTG 121. There are no surprises in both classes. Just do all the paper and online assignments and you will get an A+. He is an excellent teacher. He makes this difficult class very easy to understand. He gives amazing lectures and practical examples. He is very helpful and have a great sense of humor.

Bottom line: Accounting runs the world. To be a successful person in America Accounting 100 has to be taken - by students in every major. Best to take it with a professor as good as Mr. Maule.

I took Bruce for intermediate accounting 1 and 2. Hes an excellent lecturer and makes complex material understandable. He has a good sense of humor and you will learn a lot. But the homework is time consuming

Easy grader as long as you hit the word count. The texts are easy to read and enjoyable even if you aren't an accounting major. He often will give you 110% if you put in enough effort, it's a predictable class with the only assignments being a paper per week if that's what you're into.

Professor Maule is a great person and a great teacher as well. Don't get me wrong his class his hard, if you do not do the homework and extra credit you will not do well in his class. But he is always willing to help and gives lots of Extra Credit to help with assignments. His extra credit will give you a 10% boost on your grade.

I needed this class to get my CPA license. Course was entirely online, which is what I wanted. I could work ahead and finish the early, which I did in five weeks. Much to my surprise, I actually learned something and found the course worthwhile. If you need accounting ethics take this class.

I really learned a lot in this class. I did not know anything about investing and some topics were hard to understand, but most of the stuff was easy. Write your papers, meet the minimum word count, and you will get an A.

If you want an easy pass class, this is the class and professor you should be choosing! Prof. Maule is really nice to students and has been really helpful throughout the difficult semester. His grading is based on My Accounting Lab (MAL) so just do all the homework assigned, do as best as you can on the exams you'll get a good grade.

Really well thought out and organized professor. I took 3 of his classes this semester, he is constantly communicating and keeping you involved in the class even when moved online. Professor Maule is a hilarious and proactive instructor. I took him this spring and the class was interesting with his corky jokes and long lectures. He explained every topic in detail and we moved quite quickly to the next chapter but he was always available if we had questions or needed help. I recommend him.

He was honestly one of the best teachers! He cares about his students and wants each and every one of his students to get A's! He is super good at responding to emails and always available for office hours. All the in-class practice is the same problems in the hw, and then all the Q's in the hw are on the quizzes, midterm, final (just diff numbers)

ACTG 169 Online - Accounting Ethics. 8 week course with 8 essays - one essay a week. Each essay can be done over the course of the week or all in one day. It will require a little bit of reading and some short video watching, but the course was overall great. The late turn-in policy is generous and the grading process itself is lenient.

I worked on real-life cases, which made it enjoyable. Writing an essay every week was hard, but the professor always encouraged students with warm words. That is how I got through this course.

Loved this professor I took his Accounting 121 class online during the spring semester of my freshmen year back in 2021. He is very chill and cares about his students deeply. He also goes out of his way to encourage you to do well by emailing you directly. I strongly recommend taking this professor :)

There is a fair amount of reading and writing but his assignments are clearly laid out so you can do them ahead of schedule or fit into your schedule. I worked full-time and I like that since I can fit it into my busy working schedule. I also like the fact that it was an online class.

I attended this course in Spring 2019. I loved this class! You read a couple finance books and discuss them weekly. I highly recommend this course. This influenced me to have a Vanguard account and pursue the path of FI (Financial independence).
