Took his course for spring semester online cause of COVID. Honestly, his class was pretty easy for the most part. He gives extra credit discussions every week and they help quite a bit. The extra credit helped me maintain an A+ throughout the whole semester. No textbook but you do need to look at his presentations. Good professor! I recommend.

The class is full of good information on many environmental topics. It's an asynchronous class so you don't have to attend any live lectures. However, you do need to participate in the discussion assignments with your peers. For each lecture, you can choose to read the slides, or watch a recorded lecture the professor made on the slides. Good prof!

His assignments help students to really learn. Consist of discussion posts, a book club report (interesting books to choose from), a research paper where you pick your own topic, attending committees meetings, watching YouTube videos, and a final exam. Lectures are very informative, so pay attention. He also offers many extra credit opportunities.

Want a self important professor that makes every assignment needlessly complicated and treats a requirement class like you're majoring in the subject? THIS IS YOUR GUY! For an online class the organization of the modules was horrible and assignments were hardly ever in chronological order.

Save yourself the headache. Despite the clear title and description of the class, this professor somehow made it feel like a beginner's English class. His "papers" are literally just questions that have instructions longer than the assignment and he grades on your grammar, whether or not he agrees with your opinions, and how you word your answers.

assignments are unnecessarily long and a waste of time honestly. discussions are easy and he does provide extra credit. im taking this for a GE but it didnt really feel like a GE class. very annoying when i have major assignments to do for my main business classes and then when i go to this class i have to do a long assignment

If you are taking this class for your major, you will probably learn a lot. If not, this will be a heavy-duty course to add along your other courses. There are weekly discussions and occasional papers, and the papers are often very confusing. This isn't the worst class ever but avoid taking it if you need to take a light-load class.

The professor is very passionate about the subject. He treats it as its your major and an English class, which is way over-the-top. He will constantly tell you to state facts and statistics. When you do and he doesnt agree, hell tell you that your wrote something opinion based. Good class if youre pro environment, but irritating if your not.

Professor Olszewski is ok. He has a lot of discussions due all at once. I would advice getting ahead and doing the discussions a week in advantage. He pays a lot of attention to grammar and is very passionate. Not much to really say. He has mostly 3 discussions weekly. Extra credit for little points, midterm, paper, and final.

Not great was super hard, and was very opinionated to specific political beliefs that had nothing to do with the course.

The homework was mostly discussions and videos with occasional papers. Exams were not too difficult. He gives a lot of extra credit, make sure to take it! I kept my grade above 100% for most of the course with it. He is very political and often goes onto tangents about how much he hates Republicans, so don't take him if that bothers you!

Took this for me GE and it just wasn't worth it. Treats this class like it's your major, assigns so many papers and heavy assignments with only a week to complete. Tough grader for the papers, definitely wouldn't take him if you were expecting to take his class for an east GE.

Attendance was not mandatory for this class. Weekly lectures (on zoom or recorded on canvas) and discussion posts. 3 exams, 1 main paper. Took this class for GE credit. When presenting, you have to know your stuff. He likes to ask you questions. He cares about the issues discussed, but he can be opinionated.
