Incredible class and teacher. I learned a lot, but there was a ton of work for "just a religion class." He really expects a lot of effort from students, and he can tell when you've tried and when you haven't. If you're willing to put forth the extra effort you'll really gain a lot from his really intellectual and spiritual lessons. Great man.

Brother Satterfield knows the Old Testament extremely well, and his Hebrew background really helps you understand words, contexts, and the culture of the day. You only discuss from Joshua to 2 Kings/2 Chronicles (and a little bit of Amos, Hosea, and Isaiah) in class, but you leave the semester with an understanding of why Israel was scattered.

I went into this class with high expectations for learning about "Building an Eternal Marriage" since it's the NAME of the class. Instead, we heard about how many degrees he had, the time he spent in Israel, how he knows Hebrew, and how to make a blood sacrifice (in detail, a few times). He also went about five minutes over EVERY DAY. Disappointed.
