Very helpful
very helpful and clear.
This guy is the most methodical math teacher I have ever had. He is very good at explaining tough concepts step by step. I strongly suggest taking this teacher for any math class. SFCC is very lucky to have this teacher !!!
Extremely Picky!!! I felt like his attitude was demeaning towards students. Constantly harps on academic dishonesty, which I found offensive.
Teauge... you'll work more in his class than any other Pre-Calc class and you'll feel like your recieving little if any instruction. He gives handouts to you every week. Every test has a take home portion and he even grades your homework!
He was very thorough with his lectures. Tough grading scale, but you actually learned the material.
he is not friendly, never learns your name. made a mistake on every handout given to us, even test takehome portions. meticulous about grading. explained material in a detailed manner yet had so many 'quirks' about how you answer or work out a problem
Excellent Calculus Teacher !!! Do your part and he'll do his.
Teague is awsome! Anyone who feels that he gives too much homework and dislikes the fact that he grades it is just a slacker! He's very consistant and technical in his lectures as he wants his students to be.
Teague is a very good teacher and offers alot of help. He grades consistently and fairly and deals with students that way also. However, you will work very hard in his class. He gives hard tests and if you have not studied you will do poorly.
great teacher. I reccommend him to anyone that is taking any level of mathmatics he is teaching. Clear and the grading is lenient to an extent.
Wonderful teacher always willing to help and explains things in an easy to understand manner.
He is a great teacher if you are not good at the math subject. If you go to class you will get a good grade. He is very soft spoken but explains the material well.
I would definitley recommend Teage for statistics!
I appreciate the help he offered me when I took college algebra. He helped me understand and do well in my class. I highly recommend him
I'm a mathematically handicapped but Teague is a lifesaver! Too bad I've taken every math class 2 or 3 times before I discovered him! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
the class itself was a challenge but Teague made it as easy as possible to understand. was very helpful during office hours and whatever was on the quiz would be on the test. He obviously loves what he does and that can make a world of difference
here here with the rest of the comments. thorough explaination of everything so that it is almost impossible not to get it. very flexible and extremely helpful with office hours!! a great teacher and very fair.
Explains the material really well. Gives lots of notes & had easy tests.
He MAKES sure you understnsd the material.
Horrible teacher. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and missed class and he won't let me make anything up, even with a Dr. note. I barely made a C- in the class, even though I had an A before I missed class. Very unhelpful and awful teacher.
Mr. T is great! Tip: Show up to class and don't leave class early unless you've informed him ahead of time. Otherwise. Mr. T Rocks! Too bad he isn't teaching Stats in Fall.
horrible teacher do not take
He is extremely helpfull and does everything he can to help you understand the material. He is always available for help outside the classroom. If you struggle with math, definitly take this teacher.
Mr. Teague is the best! I have taken him for all my maths, and refuse to take anyone else. He's hard, but fair. There's no such thing as extra credit, but you don't need it because he teaches you everything very well.
He is a good teacher... there were a few days he missed in the mid-beginning of the term and that seemed to set the class back a little on average. All in all though a good teacher. Most will like him and do well in his classes.
Teague rocks!
He's the best!!! Go to his office and he will work with you until you understand. Class isn't the easiest in the world but if you show up and do the work, you can't fail. Wish he was teaching Stats.
MR. T is awesome, I would recommened him to anyone.
Pretty darn good. You can't really go wrong here. He's a little tough at times, but more than makes up for it with his superb teaching ability. Pretty hard to fail his classes
tEACHER IS VERY GOOD AT EXPLAINING DIFFICULTIES HE HAD AS A STUDENT AND RELATING THEM TO THE COURSE.
Excellent! Obviously passionate about teaching. Couldnt be more helpfull and available. Concept objectives are clearly stated and explained. Highly recomended.
This man is a Teacher's Teacher. Prof. Teague can explain any type of mathematical concept there is related to the course, no matter how difficult the concept, he will keep pounding it into your head until you get it. Very patient with slower students and challenging to fast students. Superb Prof!!!
People, if you're struggling with math, this is the man to take. He could teach a monkey how to do math, trust me on this. Now, his test are hard, but if you just show to class and do a little bit of homework, you'll be just fine.
You don't have to worry about taking him for pre-calc. He said that his pre-calc students aren't worth him teaching it again. Rude, doesn't go over enough problems in class. Holds the class 10 minutes after every day, only goes over 3 problems at the max in 60 minutes! You've been warned!!!
I don't understand how he has such high marks. I can't stand him! He takes so long to do everything, we always got out of class late. If someone asked a question, they'd end up more confused than when they started. He drove me absolutely crazy in class; I would die before I took him again.
He is very helpful and explains math to you in lamens terms. anyone can pass his class. obviously you won't do good if you fall behind and don't do the wrkshts and h/work. he knows his stuff and obviously loves teaching it. if you have ques. he'll badger you w/the answers till he knows you got it.
His examples are not clear which is why he most likely has more students in the math lab than any-other teacher at SFCC. He overloads you with work. On the bright side. He is willing to help and he dose have a very fair point system, so you can pass as long as you score well.
he is a good teacher but his test are too hard I don't I think anyone should take his class unless willing to put in a great deal of effort
he goes to much into detail with his examples, he will loose you in the middle of them.He always dismisses the class late.his test are hard!I never seen so many students gone to tutoring because of a teacher.he will help you if you have any questions, his office hrs will consist of several students.
I think he's a great teacher, never had trouble understanding him or passing the tests. He explains the material very well.
wonderful! if you aren't a great math student i highly suggest this man. yea, he goes a little overboard with explaining examples, but he is very helpful. always willing to work with students. never lets class out early, but never wastes time either. :)
Teague is the best math teacher I've ever had, period! He really helps you understand and actually cares that you do. Every day before class he would meet with anyone who wanted to for an hour to talk about what we were going over... even on test days! What an awesome professor!
Mr.T was very helpful and very clear in his teaching. He got down to the point and described everything in FULL detail.
ahhhhhhhh............runnnnnn!
Mr. Teague is awesome!! Anyone can pass this class if you're willing to do the homework. Honestly, I don't have to study for tests, because doing the homework covers everything. His examples are very clear and interesting, with real-life applications. He rocks!
TAKE THIS CLASS. He is an awesome teacher. A little hint. He give out worksheet to his really hard tests. If you study the worksheets you will pass the test and the class, study them!!!!!!!!!! some questions are the exact one. And he is very nice. Trust teague, he is a smart man.
Mr. Teague is an awesome teacher, the best one that I've had at Santa Fe. If he seems a little confusing during class, he'll teach you everything you need to know about algebra during his office hours! Anyway, he's a wonderful teacher,I highly recommend him.
He is very good and fair. Don't try to get out of anything b/c he is a stickler for deadlines, etc. He is a great teacher, though.
This is the BEST math teacher that I have ever had!! He is so helpful and explains everything out so even if u aren't very good at math u will be able to understand everything that he is doing and everything that is on his tests. There is no homework except for extra credit purposes and attendance doesnt matter, but you will want to go! Hes funny 2
good teacher, thourough, clear, precise. But he is a stickler and I ended up getting a D+ because I couldn't make up a take home portion on one of his tests, thus dropping me a letter grade. dont miss a test or try to turn in a take home late! You will fail the class as I did. also he keeps you to the last minute, sometimes longer. otherwise good.
best math teacher sfcc has. a shame he doesn't teach calc3.
Show me the steps spare me the lectures.Mr Teague needs to pratice "thin slicing" his classes. Every week there is: a quiz,a hand out,a test in addition to an inordinate amount of homework which is handed in for grading! His test all have takehome portions. This class will Eat up your time. Compare his syllabs to the other teachers if you dought me.
Best math teacher I've ever had. He explaines things so well. All his assignments help your grade, if you do them. Very nice, calm demeanor. However, he can get fairly excited over math. Thanks for teaching!
I did not like his class! There is only 3 tests and 2 quizes before each test. Homework is assigned but is not mandiatory. He moves sooo slow in the beginning and when he starts picking up speed you won't be able to follow him. I do not recommend this class to anyone. There are better teachers at Santa Fe. Horrible Class!
Could teach calc to a monkey. If you dont get it with him, swith your major.
Worst teacher at Santa Fe....completely overloads u with work on top of being the most boring person in the world. He's a bit wierd about how specifically he wants you to answer things too. It's math...not English!!!
Brilliant teacher, and a nice guy -- just so long as you don't get on his bad side by doing something like skipping class because you didn't finish the homework! Genuinely took an interest in me and my progress in the class. The class is a lot of work, but you really do learn the stuff.
if you arent so hot at math i wouldnt take this dude. everytime you ask him questions he acts annoyed and makes you feel stupid. thats probably why hardly anyone asks questions. also when you ask them he seems to never want to understand your question or to see if you understand it after he explains again.
Teague is an easy teacher if: 1) You show up to class, 2) You pay attention, 3) You do the homework, 4) You study. Considering the homework is VOLUNTARY, you don't have to do ALL of it, just what you need. He offers his help and gives plenty of it. Good teacher all around.
the man infuriates me!!! he sucks!
An audio book of math for idiots with moving legs and hands.
He really is a great math teacher. Explains the material as well as any teacher ever has. Math is hard for me but i tryed and got a B. All you have to do is do is go to class, pay attention do the homework which isnt hard and study a little for the tests.
I hate math, and am not good at it. However, I got a B in this class because this is the only math teacher I have EVER had that was crystal clear in his explanations of material. Best Math teacher I have ever had. Seriously. Hope he teaches calc or trig.
awesome professor
Professor Teague couldn't be more helpful in his teachings. He is absolutely amazing and makes sure he touches every point so that every step of his work of fully understood (all the way down to how to round decimals!!). He is extremely precise and great about answering questions and making sure the correct questions are asked.
This is one scary character, and he definitely should be donated to Area 51. My doctor prescribed Valium and Clonopin to me because of this class. If you take this class I wish you the best of luck and will give you my doctor's name.
HATED HIM AND THE CLASS
He is a really nice guy who explains the material very well, but would get help from someone else.
Good teacher, Math is hard go to class everyday and study the quizzes and test and you'll do ok, fair on grading and He is really helpful, using his office hours is like having him as a private tutor good teacher on a hard subject
Nice man but condescending and seems to enjoy lecturing and criticizing.Speaks in monotone voice = impossible to pay attention.Explains everything the difficult way.I knew some of the material but I had no idea what he was doing up there. Hard tests.
teague requires daily attendance, so if you don't come to school, don't take his class. that being said, he is extremely helpful and clear, stats was a breeze and the final was just as easy. tons of takehome quizzes and portions of tests. great teacher and an interesting class
Heartless. Attendance and homework will not be enough you HAVE to pass his tests or he will fail you. Everyone on here said he was great that is why I took his class, and it was indeed a grave disapointment. he doesn't like women, and he will make you feel like an idiot if you ask questions. his tests are long and hard!
One of the best math teachers I've ever had. I'm only 1/3 of the way through his summer trig class but I already learned so much. He keeps class interesting and is very thourogh. He Never misses a single point about any topic. He has been teaching for over 20 years and has developed a perfect style. Highly reccomended for technical majors.
Math is not an easy subject, but he made the class as easy as possible and was extreamly helpfull in his office hours, very clear and overall a wonderfull teacher. I highly recomend him if you are someone into math
He is probably one of the best math professors I've had at SFCC. His grading system is very logical, making it easy for me to follow up with what my current grade was. There was a lot of work involved, but he went through each step to explain all aspects of a certain problem or concept.
second time i took Teague as a professor and once again he proved to be a great teacher. take his class. attendance counts and tests/quizzes are easy if you STUDY. HWK is not collected, but reccommended (i never did one assignment). wonderful teacher for STATS and TRIG.
(TRIG) HE'S VERY GOOD,HELPS AND BREAKS IT DOWN MORE THAN ANY OTHER TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD,AND HIS RATINGS COULDN'T TELL U ENOUGH ON HOW GREAT HE IS.
Took trig a year ago with other teacher and received a D+, then I take trig with Bruce Teague and get an A. Excellent experienced professor. No need for me to study or do homework, he's very clear and understandable!
If you suck at math, he's pretty good with clarity of problems and such.
Mr. Teague is an extraordinary teacher. Take his class if you are serious about math and science. His trgonometryy class taught me skills I will use throughout my career.
First time I have ever had a math professor collect and grade homework since highscool. Very effective on making sure all students know how to get help and is extremely detailed on steps to solve problems.Would recommend him to anyone who . He is very thourough. Take advantage of office hrs. and don't skip class, attendace counts!!!
He was my soccer coach, and as a coach he was great. Then i took a class with him and was so happy because he was an excellent teacher.
Makes the material pretty clear. Super nice guy, reiterates everything. I just suck at math.
Good!
he is a great teacher i would recomend him to everyone. he is great at explaining things and he is a lot of fun.
As a prof. he is a great teacher but his problem is that he is too professional what i mean is that he can never have a straight conversation. its as if he practice his talk the night before. if he would just let off alittle he would be alright
pretty much every bad comment that you will read about him on rate my professor is true. if your not too good at math he makes you feel like an idiot when you ask questions. i did not bennifit from his lectures.
Amazing teacher!!!!! Use his Handouts to study for the tests. Also make sure that you turn your HW in and go to class...!
Just about at the midterm of MAC1140. Mr. Teague is one of the most precise teacher that I've come across. He is VERY clear on what he expects out of his students. Yet, he takes "nickels and dimes" if you don't meet his expectations. His handouts are VERY helpful. Don't pay attention to the book that much. To be continued...
One of the best math teachers I have ever had. I wish I could take him for all my classes. Very thourough in his lectures and very helpful. The Best!
Great techer, def knows math front in back. I am not the best in math but if you come to class, use his notes, and turn everything in on time it's not TO bad. He is very very anal so watch what, and how you ask a question!
he is the best teacher ever..!! he explains everything until you get it..!!
I also had him for MAC1140. Taking Cal I for Summer D now and he's clear as always. Comparing to MAC1140, he does all the examples on the board and that's all the notes (he doesn't hand out a lab or a note sheet every week like in MAC1140). He likes to scare you about taking MAC1140+MAC1114 as pre-reqs cause most Cal I students drop cause of these.
As a teacher, Teague is one of the best teachers I've had. To show you how much, I'm considering taking Calculus 2 with him just FOR THE FUN OF IT (I'm not an engineer or math major)! If you folks out there are saying that math has nothing to do with real life, you ought to try calculus.
GREAT TEACHER!! He teaches at a great pace and will slow down if he feels the class does not understand. Holds office hours for HW help. And test are practically spelled out for you before hand. Allows your final to replace a low test score and gives 6 extra point on final if you attend class everday. Gives partial pts if you almost got the answer.
Awesome teacher if you need to be taught. If you already know the subject, he might come off as tedious, but if you need to learn, this is the best teacher I have ever had. He tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests and when things are due. Do yourself a favor and do things exactly as he requests and you'll do great.
GREAT TEACHER!!! Only have 3 Tests and 7 h/w...He is very helpfull in his teaching he babbles on sometimes but it is usually worth listening to. I would definitely take him again
Bruce teague was the most outstanding math teacher i have ever had. He's very efficient and taught CALC II as if we were all algebra students--explaining every detail to its fullest. we even had a few subs and though they were proabably wonderful as well, in comparison they were horrible. WONDERFUL AMAZING TEACHER. Take him.
first calc segment with Teague. Didnt like him at first, but he does grow on you rather quickly. VERY helpful during office hours, encourages q's in class, and practically tells you whats on the test. goes out of his way to make things clear. i just wish he was teaching calc 3!
Excellent Professor. His calc 1 & 2 classes are pretty rough, but after all it is calculus....what else would you expect? Just read the required text and do the assigned problems until you know them well...there are no surprises on exams, very straight foward. If you can't pass with Teague, change your major.
You couldn't ask for a better, clearer professor. Loves what he does, cares about his students, encourages questions in class, writes legibly, easy to reach outside of class. Lecture worksheets cover EXACTLY whats on the test and prior to test day he goes through the LW and points out which problems are on the test problem for problem.
He is a great teacher! He tells you what is going to be on the tests and he has many examples included in his teaching, he is great!
TAKE HIM NOW!
BEST TEACHER EVER! I hate math and I feel like I actually learned something! He is very helpful. If you do the homework and study then you should do fine. Don't get me wrong, it's not an easy class, but if you work hard then you will pass with flying colors. This guy is AMAZING!
mr.teague is a good teacher makes it seem easy test however are hard and he has an temper issue good way of making you feel stupid in his class it his way or the highway. would not recomend him for anybody overall bad class.
One of the best math professors I have ever had. He really knows his stuff. I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn and strive. Tests are not easy by any means, but he allows you to learn the material! Take!
Excelent teacher! if you keep up with homework and lab activities, you should not have any problems. The problems that he grades in the homework are almost identical to the ones in his tests. The day before a test, he tells you almost what kinds of problems you will see in the test. Very helpful although sometimes he treats you like a fool!
He is a very good teacher, really explains everything and is really helpful, but the tests are very hard! He also can very anal sometimes, just dont try to argue with him cuz you you won get anywhere with this guy.
Awesome instructor! I'm very strong in math but received a B because Calc is difficult to begin with! Always willing to help the student no matter what! However, you have to study just like any other math class! I highly recommend Teague to anyone!
I'm in Teague's Pre Calc Algebra class but I also had him for College Algebra. His classes are like Math for Dummies. He is very particular with some details and formats, and his tests are hard but he is fair. He gives a lot of partial credit on tests. As long as you do the homeworks well and make a decent grade on the tests you'll be fine.
Loved this professor!!!!!! Very easy to talk to and always willing to help the students who want to help themselves. I would definently recommend this man to anyone.
Prof. Teague is easily the best math teacher I've ever had in my life (kindergarten-college, he's the best). He's extremely clear and fair- and he's funny, too. I highly recommend him to students who struggle with math. He sticks to his syllabus and doesn't make exceptions- but you'll know what's expected of you from day 1. no surprises.
He is an Excellent math teacher. I would recommend him especially if you aren't naturally great at math. He may seem a little redundant in his lectures at times, but the reinforcement only helps on tests. Would definitely take him again.
Best math teacher I have ever had. Took him for Trig, MAC 1114. He is very clear and able to explain things in multiple ways. If your math knowledge is low you will have to work hard, but you will learn the material you need for future math courses. He teaches good fundamentals and leaves students with a comprehensive understanding of trigonometry.
Professor Teague is an excellent math teacher. He spells everything out for you, even to the point where he apologizes if he is "insulting your intelligence" by feeling the need to explain a step or concept. He is very thorough and very up-front about expectations. Not to mention, he's very light hearted!
He is a really good teacher, he knows his stuff and will always slow down to explain things better(sometimes a bit too slow). His office hours are available for better clarity. Although, he does make way too many typos on homework, exams, etc. He gives reasonable time for HW and post solutions for everything.
He's a really great teacher. He will take time expaining things. In the beginning it's a little annoying how long he takes to explain, but it definitely helped towards the end of the course. He tells you exactly what kinds of questions are on each test. Take him!!
The best math professor I've had so far. He is extremely clear and always willing to help. He is very organized and keeps you informed. He tells you specifically what types of questions are going to be on the test and how many of each. He is kind but will, and I quote,"bring down the hammer" if you don't know your stuff. Highly recommended!
I took Mr. Teague for calc1 and 2. He's extremely clear about what will be on the test except the final. Since he's not a super smart guy, he teaches you how to approach problems in an easy way that everyone would understand. As long as you do your homework and go to classes, you'll be fine. Easy A!
GREAT professor. If you have to take pre-calc or Calc, take him. He teaches very clearly and take advantage of his office hours! You will need the book. Assigns homework with each lesson. 4 tests, 4 minigrades and cumulative Final.
Great guy. very nice and helpful. made cheesy jokes throughout class but really enjoyed him bringing his personality into his lessons. Attendance is dire to be successful in this class (being late to class on a regular basis is a good way to piss him off). follows syllabus religiously. Take him if you want a helpful and patient teacher
great teacher. going to try to get him again next semester.
Awesome teacher who loves his job. Eager to see you in office hours.Clearly explains what you need to know for the test. DO NOT MISS review day.
Great professor. Knows what he's doing and will ALWAYS clarify something. Easy to understand because he teaches the material as if it is brand new so it can get boring. He tries to joke in class but it's corny. He doesn't teach with the online math lab, which i prefer. He follows his syllabus word for word and makes attendance part of his grade.
Teague is a very clear and concise teacher and is always willing to help outside of class; he loves to! Tests are clearly outlined in his review session so don't miss class. "The gloves are off" ladies and gents, so do your homework, come to class, take notes, and study. Great professor.
His review does not match the tests he gives.Hates the new book so does not use it $114.00 wasted.Has no patience to review anything from intermediate algebra to help you understand current concepts. Never reviewed enough in class to actually do the homework. VERY SLOW GRADER did not get previous work back in time to use it to study for the test.
Teague is the est professor I've ever had. He is extremely clear during lecture and very helpful during his office hours. He gives reviews the day before the exam and tells you exactly what kind of problems to expect. Study the minigrades if you want to do well on the exam.I would recommend him for any math course at SFC.
This professor is nice and awesome!!!
Great Professor, he is very nice, and very easy to learn from! The hardest part of the class was the final but everything else is amazing, he makes calc uber easy
AWESOME! If you want to learn take him! If you want an easy way out don't. He has lots of office hours and practically begs for people to come and ask questions. His test Reviews are the day before the test. He will actually look at his test and say #1 is like this and #2 is like that. Definetly pay attention on Test review day. It is almost exact.
Great Teacher! IF YOU WANT TO LEARN TAKE HIM! He does expect you to have learned the math from prior math classes but if you are confused about something you can ask him during class but more so during office hrs. He encourages questions while he teaches b/c he wants you to learn the material. No mandatory hw. Deducts pts after first 2 abs.
What else can be said about Bruce that hasn't already been said? Amazing professor, amazing guy, really wants his students to LEARN the material. Take good notes, go to class the day before a test, and treat the minigrades like tests and receiving an A is VERY possible
Mr. Teague is a phenomenal teacher. He breaks things down to the most basic conceptual level so everyone can understand. Not lots of extra credit so you cant walk into the final needing a 12 to get an A, but his final follows the EXACT formatting of his section tests which is more than fair. Great teacher and nice guy. Take him!!
He's a great teacher. Do your homework and study your quizzes for tests and you can pull off a B. He's very consistent and tells you what you need to manage a good grade in his class. He is not out to trick you, Teague knows what he's talking about and is a straight shooter. If you're lazy or aren't willing to do homework do not take him.
Awesome Teacher. He helped me realize my mathematical potential. I sucked in High school at math. Never realized that he would make Trig so interesting and enjoyable. He was my instructor in 1999. I am back to school again and only wish I had an instructor of his caliber to guide me through MAC2313 Thank you Bruce.
Mr. Teague is fantastic. I had him for College Algebra and Trig. He is super helpful and personable. He makes math easy, interesting, and fun. His tests reflect what he teaches in class, as well as whats on the H.W., and quizzes. Take Mr. Teague! He's one of the nicest and most helpful Profs. at Santa Fe.
Teague, is very slow and boring. We almost always have tests or quizzes with information we haven't even gone over yet. If he would speed up his lectures, we would all learn a lot more.
He is a very good math professor. His method of teaching is organized and conveys the material with a lot of clarification. You will understand all of what he teaches and he is even more helpful during his office hours. Homework is not mandatory and his tests reflect his worksheets or "Minigrades." Overall, highly recommended for a good foundation.
Just because Teague has good ratings don't think this is an easy way out of college algebra. He is helpful, makes the material easy to learn, but his tests are definitely hard work. Study hard, attend every class (ESPECIALLY the one before test days) and ask A LOT of questions for clarity. Other then that, he's one of the best! :)
AWESOME math professor. he might go a bit slow but thats what makes him a good teacher...he's thorough. He gives you in class the EXACT info thats on the test, so as hard as it might be, you knew what was coming!
I took Teague for Precalc as well, hence why i signed up for him for Calc 1. excellent prof. helpful and clear, no twists or turns and if he plans on doing so he'll warn you in advance. Practice the problems as needed, no mandatory HW other than the worksheets, which help tremendously on tests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Bruce Teague is the best Math teacher at SFC. He is very organized, and Mr. T actually has a passion for teaching, (very rare). I would highly recommend taking him for College Algebra.
His classes can be quite boring and he does go a little slow but he wants to make sure that everyone is on the same page. His lecture worksheets are fantastic and he goes over the types of questions that will appear on the test. Overall helpful teacher although he can be rude at times but it is 100% possible to get an A. Just don't slack off .
Teague is a GREAT teacher!! He will go out of his way to help you understand the many concepts of his material. Take advantage of his office hours!!!
AMAZING TEACHER! Ive never been good at math, & was very scared for this class. But he made it very interesting and challenging (in a good way). It is not an easy A, but he is very helpful and people that dont use his help, will probably fail.. He might annoy you at times, but he has the best intentions for his students! TAKE HIM! So glad I did!
They need to replace the entire math department at Santa Fe College with Bruce Teague clones. He is that good.
He is a very nice guy and highly educated. Also, he is always willing to help, and tries his best to make the material as clear as possible. However, he is kind of all over the place sometimes, which can be confusing. So overall, great teacher; he just needs to polish his teaching method.
Mr. Teague is an amazing teacher! He always wants to help you and wants to see his students succeed, which is why he provides office hours and a tutor for his students. If you use all of the resources, there is no reason you shouldn't get an A. Will definitely be taking another math class with him when I need to.
This class is easy. You will get the lecture worksheet and the test is very similar. He is a fantastic teacher and will prepare you well for the final.
Cares about the students success & comprehension. Not a very easy class but he is clear. Taught a lil slow for me. Gives partial credit for answers. Responds quickly. Office hours are helpful. Use MyMathLab a bit. Very nice though. Gives test review which helps.
I took Teague for precalc, trig, calc 1, and calc 2. Mr. Teague has a genuine passion for teaching and wants nothing more than for all of his students to truly learn and understand the material which shows in his genuine caring for his student's success. I would recommend Bruce Teague higher than any teacher I've come by in nearly 3 years at SFC.
Awesome teacher, very good at explaining concepts and very helpful
I took Teague for College Algebra and Precal. I am taking him for Calculus 1. BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!! super clear. Exams come straight from MiniGrades and Lecture Worksheets. He is always willing to help his students. I will definetly take him as a teacher.
The epitome of a perfect professor. Take his Honors class. You won’t regret it.
Very good professor, very clear, and very smart. follow along, do the homework(not mandetory) and you'll do fine. Best math proffesor I've ever had.
BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER! TAKE HIM DONT THINK TWICE! He is so organized, so clear on what he expects, and he is so great at teaching calculus. He is a great person! I am taking him again for calc 2 because he is simply the best! I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TAKE HIM
Bruce is very clear in his teaching method. The minigrade(an assignment due a few days before the test) is easy to complete if you follow the lecture worksheet. Tests are pretty hard, even if you follow his study guide. He can also be rude at times. I went to one of his office hours for help and he made me feel stupid for not knowing something.
Great teacher! I would highly recommend Teague to every student that actually wants to succeed in math.
Professor Teague has an amazing teaching style that allows for every student to be able to understand the material, even at higher level mathematics. The only concern that I have is that the class may be too easy or too soft on students that intend to go on to become engineers at UF.
I really liked Prof. Teague. You must access his website at least once every 24 hours. Is very slow on lectures, but are still very helpful and informative. Gives partial credit and uses multiple choice for quizzes and tests. Usually gave us extra time after class on test and quiz days when we needed it. Do the bold-font homework to get an A.
The best professor I have ever had. I'm taking this class right now in short term . There is no other better way he can explain the material . He wants every student to get A on his class . Attendance is mandatory . Mini grade is due every class before each test . I love this professor , so I'm going to take trigonometry with him .
the class itself is easy. In fact, too easy. So much so that the class hardly prepares you for further courses down the road. he teaches so slowly that he never finishes in time and detracts from actual learning. if you want to be taught like a highschooler take him.
Great professor. Teaches a little bit slow but it is worth it.He really wants everyone to get a good grade. I reallly recommend him.
Teague is AMAZING. His trigonometry class is helping me survive through calculus...he is one of the best teachers I have ever had!I wish I could have taken him for all of my math classes and beyond. He's fantastic!
His class was the perfect mix of clear teaching and challenging content. His minigrades are so helpful. He's funny during class and is amazing at teaching a concept intuitively then technically. I would take him for the rest of my math classes at Santa Fe if I could.
Teague is the best! His teaching style is very instructive, and he is extremely clear. He has online HW w/ lots of submissions, and his take-home quizzes mirror the exams. In addition, his take-home quizzes can be completed using ANY resource (math lab, fellow students, etc). The exams are fair, and he gives study guides for every exam. Take him!
He is very thorough in his lectures. he tries to make sure that the material is explained very well, and tells you what to complete on the tests. hes been doing this a long time and he is a great, and wel experienced proff. do exactly what he asks, and how he shows you and you'll do fine!make sure not to mess up on the little things!i took summer A
Very good math teacher. I highly recommend him. He explained everything perfectly, and took his time.
He is an awesome teacher. Very easy. He takes his time to explain everything. He likes to use his arms a lot to make sure people are paying attention. Highly recommend him.
He has very good teaching methods, and goes very slow to make sure everyone understands him. Sadly he didn't cover two major topics in Precalculus which are induction and the binomial theorem. I hope I get him as a math professor in future courses. He's that good.
Professor Teague is the cream of the crop both as a Calculus professor and as a person. He could teach Calculus to a rock, he's that good! Mr. Teague will not hand out A's; you'll have to earn it. However, he's more than fair and is extremely helpful if you ask for help. Lectures are entertaining. He always ends up with chalk all over his pants.
Professor Teague is the ideal mathematics professor in the ideal small lecture setting. If you have the opportunity to take him for math, you should. His lectures are crystal clear, as he understands his trade very well and is exceptionally articulate. He is by far the best mathematics professor I've had the privilege of learning from!
Teague was amazing as a professor. His knowledge of mathematics is exceptional. He also is very clear with everything on his lectures.
Mr. Teague is legendary. You won't get his class unless you register early. He tells great stories and takes pride in his students and will do anything to help you succeed.
Prof Teague is simply the best mathematics professor I've ever had. I had to take Calc 3 elsewhere and at that point realized just how great of a professor he truly was. I knew he was great but wow, yea he's amazing, clear, concise, gives you the method you need to solve any problem. A scholar and a gentleman.
Mr. Teague knows his Trig, but I truly thinks he believes all students who are not in the Honors Program are dumb. He speaks to you like you are a child. He also feels the need to voice every thought that goes through his mind... He will help you learn, but he expects hard work from each of his students.
Best teacher I've ever had! Note that this is very difficult, but he is ready to help you as much as needed. Very clear about when things are due and exactly what is expected. Provided any handouts including quizzes online in case you missed. Book not needed, but definitely helpful. Don't ever skip. You'll miss so much and its hard to catch up.
This class was unbelievably hard. He warned at the beginning of the semester it requires more work than Calculus. That being said, he did an excellent job of teaching it. Clear, concise lectures with printed out worksheets you fill in as he lectures. Fair, honest, and understanding. Go to office hours, it's how I managed to pass.
Mr. Teague is a great professor and sticks the rules. He incorrectly wrote a test and he apologized to the class and offered a retake. I say this because he could have let it go, but chose to give everyone a fair chance. Posts lectures with worked out solutions on his website. These are crucial for studying. Read the syllabus! #TeamBruce
If you are very good at math, you might get frustrated. Professor Teague is incredibly detailed in explaining the topics and revisiting past supporting topics, VERY helpful if you struggle with the material. However, this can be annoying if you have a firm grasp of the material. If you show up to class and put forth effort, you will receive an A.
He's a good professor in that he is specific & VERY clear on what he wants & what you should expect on his tests as well as in the class overall. He does talk a lot and can be sort of repetitive. It sometimes takes him two or three days to teach a lesson that could be covered in one period. Still a good class. Got an A with minimal effort.
He's an extremely thorough teacher so if you're a good listener and note taker you should do well on his tests. He assigns 2-3 webassign homeworks per week and the due dates can become quite confusing. 3 tests and the accumulative final are based off of his take home quizzes so study those and you should do well. Just note, he is VERY repetitive.
One of the best professors I have ever had for Calc. Thoroughly explains the conceptsexamples and is always willing to help at office hours. My only complaint is that his tests were lengthy.
He's a great teacher. Takes out time to make sure you understand material and goes over material in a timely fashion.
Professor teague is the best math professor i have ever taken. His pace is perfect and doesn't expect you to remember everything from your past math class so he will teach from zero. his test are very fair he will tell you exactly what he will be expecting. if i could take my entire calculus series with him i would. I RECOMMEND HIM LIKE NO OTHER.
Professor Teague was an exceptional teacher. He is very straightforward with what he wants from you. The only negative feedback I can give is that the final covers trig & precal so things can get tricky (Should have been split up into a midterm for precal and final for trig). Took chem 1 w chamusco at the same time so I was more focused on that.
He treats his Honors students like grown ups and expects us to reach out to him when we are struggling. His explanations are very clear. If you attend class and study the mini grades you should have no problem getting an A in his standard course or his honors course. Only difference is that honors has an easy semester project.
This class was extremely hard for me (math does not come naturally to me), but Teague is a very good professor. He explains things thoroughly and if you go to his office hours or email him he WILL help you. This class is not an easy A, you have to work for it, but you will know your stuff when you're done.
Ive never taken a better math professor.
Teague is the best prof. I have taken. I can say that I am heavily prepared for what UF has in store for me after taking him.. He is extremely thorough in his teaching and focuses on students understanding concepts of the material being taught. His office hours are life savers as well if you don't understand a topic he went over. Thank you Teague!
Bruce Teague is the clearest most understanding professor of all time. Wish he wouldn't retire, that man knows his stuff. He Teaches trig like a king.
Professor Teague was great to have for Trig. He covers everything in class at slow pace. 8 quizzes two parts on 7 with take home portion and online portion. 3 tests then final exam. two part test one w/calculator and one w/o calculator. He uses Webassign so easier to buy straight from the website. Check your email everyday. Overall good class.
Professor Teague is retiring after the Fall D term of 2016, but he is still dedicated to his classes and expects his students to work hard. WebAssign for homework and quizzes, but all of the problems listed match closely to the examples done in class. Attendance is a grade. If you have a question, he will make you wait until until office hours.
Bruce Teague is kind, fair, fascinating, funny, and a great teacher. Unfortunately he's also retired. He did hint at coming back part-time though, so if you have the chance to be one of his lucky students, take his class. You won't regret it. He makes math simple and interesting even when dealing with complex theories. Take his class. Period.
This class was extremely hard for me b/c I tend to struggle with math and this course req. a lot of memorization of formulas and techniques. Also, Teague is a tough grader. However, he is the most clear and organized professor I have ever had. He tells you exactly what he wants and how he wants it. It's up to you to do the work. Glad I took him.
No curves. 2.5pts extra credit on homework if you do it 24hrs BEFORE the actual due date. Homework is on Webassign. Gives you 3 free absences and then starts to lower your participation grade. No excuses valid for missing- doctor's notes don't count. Gives feedback on errors. Quizzes are take home. Good at answering emails. Notes are on worksheets.
Requires you to think and participate, but always makes himself available to help you. Clearly cares about students succeeding
Bruce was an excellent conveyer of knowledge. He explains mathematical concepts with absolute clarity and is willing to explain anything that you do not understand if you ask him. He even makes jokes every once in a while. Always gives partial credit on tests if you show work as well. He is an overall great person. Take him period.
When I took Teague for trig the experience was a complete nightmare. He was rude, condescending, and unwilling to help explain things outside of class. I thought I was just horrible at trig, until I ended up retaking the class with another professor and getting an A. Unless you're extremely good at math and can do all the work alone, stay away.
Online test books. He's going not so fast. Good class. Good professor.
Professor Teague was wonderful! He is caring, hilarious, and gives great lectures. His MAC1147 class is intense and test heavy, and he gives almost no extra credit. Thus, a student must pour time into this class in order to do well. Professor Teague is very accessible outside of class though, and makes student success his top priority.
Professor Teague was great and you can tell he knows his material extremely well. He explains things in great detail to make sure you understand the underlying concept. MAC1147 is an intense class with 5 tests, and a final, but he made it more bearable. The only drawback is he would often teach a few minutes past the end of class. Highly recommend!
If you have the chance to take Teague do it. I don't care if it is at 10pm on a Friday night. Just do it. He is the best math teacher for higher level maths at Santa Fe. He makes whatever he teaches easy to grasp and learn. Sadly, I think this may be his last semester. But if its not, it would be a mistake to not take him.
Great teacher who explains everything very well. He cares about the students success and has accessible office hours. I'm not sure if he is returning next semester, but if he does, I would recommend him to anyone.
Professor Teague is one of the best professors I've ever had. He's very dedicated to helping students succeed and his teaching methods are very good. He's put a lot of time and effort into the entrepreneurship program and is very enthusiastic about it. Put in the effort in any of his ENTP classes and you will succeed. Top notch professor.
Prof. Teague is the best college professor I've ever had. He takes the time to write detailed corrections on everyones work so you can see exactly where you went wrong solving the problem. He is very approachable and respectful towards his students, and quick to respond to emails. I honestly wish he could teach all my future math classes. 10/10
I will be short because I don't want to repeat what the rest of the people wrote. If he is available, take hi, period. I enjoyed his lectures because you could tell he had tailored them in such a way that it is literally impossible to fail this class. Take Mr Teague, he is the kind of professor you tell your kids about. Ok that was not short.
All around just a really great dude. I struggled a ton with trig and had to drop the class with another professor but took it with him and had the easiest time. If you can get him for a class do it! Gives a reasonable amount of homework that doesn't overwhelm you but still teaches you the material.
A really awesome professor who cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. Gives plenty of opportunities to do well in the class, just apply yourself and you will do fine!
If you're good at math, take this class. He doesn't grade hard, and his tests/quizzes are pretty easy. If you're not so good at math like me, you pretty much have to teach yourself because in class it's a little hard to catch on to what he's teaching. Other than that, he's pretty funny and cares for his students.
