He's a great professor. He's funny too.
Had to take for a art hist credit. Too much reading. Expect to watch 8 hours of films for the diary one week, and a few on others. Takes FoReVeR to grade assignments and harsh grader. If you don't respond to ALL replies to your discussion posts you'll lose points. Really irritating that his instructions don't match "his" syllabus. not very fun.
Such a fun class! Bryan Brown makes it fun and interesting. Who wouldn't want to watch movies for a grade?
Ton of reading and watching movies, but I learned alot. It was a great class. I didn't like the film diary, but good on everything else.
Great professor and class. I agree about the film diary. He graded my stuff really fast like within a day or two. Learned more than I thought I would.
Great professor. I really learned allot from his class and he really made me look at films differently. I would take another class with him.
Probably the worst syllabus I've seen at UMUC, you can't work at your own pace. Feedback was little to no good, seemed like it was one of three things that he would cut and paste. I was marked down for not reply to EVERY post other students sent to me, even if it was just "I liked your post". 4 hrs of youtube lecture each week min. Inconsistent
Great professor with a ton of knowledge. I turned in rough drafts of the essays and it helped a lot. I liked some of the movies we had to watch, but others were pretty dull. Great feedback and quick to respond.
Cool class. Mr. Brown was quick to reply to emails and give feedback on my assignments. I was happy with the results and what I learned in the course. Take him.
There is a ton of information in this class that I could not believe how much we learned. He made me think about movies in a way I did not think of them before. We covered so much in such a little time. I really enjoyed the class.
Awful! Harsh grading, mixed up syllabus and really bad feedback.
Good professor and class. I learned alot about films and I think it helped that I did all of the rough draft options for my essays. Not a harsh grader but fair.
The class was good and I really liked this instructor. He gave good feedback on the essays and clared up some questions I had about the discussions. Email him and you can get anything answered. He graded quick and gets back to you really fast. Best UMUC teacher I have had.
The class was good and he really communicated well with us. I sent him drafts of my papers and it helped me overcome some challenges I was having. I would take another class from him.
Always answered my emails and gave good feedback on papers. Three were three essays and discussions. Stuff I have come to expect at UMUC. Good class. Good teacher.
Fast grader. Always answered emails. Not too much homework. I really liked the class and the instructor. There is not much more I can ask for in an online class.
Hardest class I've ever took. The syllabus was not clear and he is very unreasonable, I was unable submit a paper and I emailed it to him before the deadline letting him know I was having problems with the website and though he had the paper before the deadline he gave me a zero saying "Paper was not submitted to the "proper folder"".
This professor knows his stuff. He was always engaged in the discussions and gave us some great additional information that was not in the readings or lectures. I liked the class overall. It made me look at movies differently. I needed the class for an elective but it was not too tough for me. Just remember to ask questions!
I took this class because I needed an elective before I graduate in the fall. I loved the class. It taught us so much about the history and making of films. I will never look at movies the same way. The professor gave me a ton of feedback on my writing and I was able to write about film much better by the end.
I do not usually rank instructors for my online courses. He was really good. Always answered my emails and really gave us some good feedback. His grading was fair and he seemed to really know his field. As someone returning from a career in the military, it was nice to see someone who takes a genuine interest in his students.
Needed a 300 level A&H course. His grading was very fair. You do the work exactly as defined with eye's dotted, tee's crossed and you will get 100% on discussion questions and papers. Lots of work/but not hard. Dr. Brown is the fastest grader I have ever had. Immediate feedback. Very productive feedback. Very Highly recommended.
Took this class as an elective to finish my degree. It was a lot of writing in discussions and three papers. Had to watch movies and write about them. Make sure you have time to sit and watch movies and take notes while watching. The professor was quick to respond. He also reviewed my essays and said what to change and resubmit for better grade.
I registered for this class because an adviser said I needed to take an elective for graduation. I did not regret it. I was not into movies too much but I really liked what we did in here. He answered every question I had quickly and made me feel like he was always there.
Great online professor. This class is interesting and fairly easy if you watch all the films and complete all the required readings. He is usually helpful when you send him an email. This class requires a lot of thought and isn't just watching movies.
This man is impossible to please. He wants you to respond to everyone who writes under your post like if you don't have a life. Lots of papers about useless things like critiquing a movies but he wants you to write it like you're in grad school. The movies are all old and boring by the way. Do not take this class unless you have to like I did.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. This professor is the most unfair grader I have ever come across. He has no idea what is written on HIS OWN syllabus. His assignments contradict themselves. He grades papers unfairly and has obscenely high standards for his papers for just being an elective course. Coursework is overloaded by the discussions and the papers.
This was a good class and it really changed the way I look at movies. I followed his advice to a T and made changes to the essays. Some critical thinking in class really opens your mind to a different perspective on movies. I loved it!
For a class about movies it is taken WAY too seriously. I understand teachers can be strict but they should also be caring. And he is NOT. Does not work with you in any way, shape or form. Grades as if we are writing thesis papers for our masters which makes no sense. And if you are on the boarder line of a letter grade he will NOT round up.
Not only did we have to watch movies for the discussions, and for the papers that were ALL DUE AT THE SAME TIME. We also had to keep conversations going with the discussions. But I'm sorry I have I have 5 other classes on top of this one plus a full time job I don't have time to sit around and watch movies all week long.
Good professor. No idea what the other reviewer(s) was talking about. I followed the guidelines he laid out for the assignments. I submitted rough drafts and made changes when I needed to. I had no problem with the class. In fact, it was one of my best at UMUC.
Good course and teacher. I liked the way he always reminded us of stuff that was coming up and what we had to do that week. We probably got something like 10 emails about deadlines and assignment details. I have not had a teacher at UMUC keep me up to speed so much in any class. Good teacher.
Very straight forward online class like I have come to expect at UMUC. Everything is easy to understand. He gave me feedback on my papers and I made the changes. I found the class interesting and he does a good job of getting onto the discussion boards and steering us in the right direction on the essays.
Don't take this guy unless you have to or it's your only class. Literally, harder the most of your core classes will be because of how he is. You're better off taking another bio class to get credits than his classes.
The class was organized and he always sent out reminders. For someone like me who is balancing work, raising her children, and having a family life it helped me stay on track. The discussions were not tough, but made me think. The essays were a little more tough, but I asked for help and so it was good.
This was a really good class. I needed one last elective before graduation and I am glad I took it. I really did not find his grading to be tough or unfair. You have to keep up with the work and reading and you will be fine. He sent out a ton of emails and let us know what was what and when it was happening. Glad I took it!
I took this class because I like watching movies. I did not think I would learn as much as I did. He gave good feedback on the essays and I knew what I had to do to keep doing well in the class. While I will never make a movie, I have a new idea of all of the work that goes into making a movie and the history behind it.
This is an interesting course & you certainly learn a lot about movies & the history of making movies. However, I would not recommend if you are taking multiple courses. I took this course with 2 others that I had fallen behind in. Fortunately, those courses had milestone due dates. Otherwise, I would have had failed at least one. Ok-ish professor.
Great online professor. He always sent out emails telling us what is happening for the week. I think we got five or six a week. That is good for those of us who have multiple classes, families, and husbands in active duty.
Professor Brown is obviously very passionate about film. He gave us a ton of information on movies and film history. We watched a ton of movies which can be a bit much but I liked most of them. Always returned my emails and was helpful with getting feedback on assignments.
Great instructor. The best online professor I have had at UMUC. You will go through the history of film & be expected to turn in everything on time. I really appreciated his feedback & that he stuck to the syllabus. He provided the clearest instructions of any professor I have ever been given in an online class. Reminders sent all the time.
Good teacher and class. There are weekly discussions and a few essays. I had some trouble in the beginning with hitting the deadlines, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly.
Prof deletes content so you have to search for assignment instructions nor do you have access to peer feedback. Not a HUGE deal but inconvenient. Several students resorted to discussion boards bc from lack of email response. Tons of time needed to analyze films. Thank god for Covid19 bc I wouldn't have had time for this class had I been working.
This was my last class at UMUC and I loved it. He made the films and the content interesting. He returned my emails very fast and I was grateful for that because I have such a busy life right now. If you have to take an elective I recommend him and the class.
this was a pretty straightforward class. discussions and essays. he was always available in the class and through email. his discussions inspired me to start watching more movies. almost graduated or i would take more classes with him.
Good online instructor. I have been taking classes at UMUC for too many years now but he was by far one of the most accessible instructors I have had. His instructions were clear and he always reminded us of deadlines. He was also really active on the discussion boards too. Just do the work and you will be fine.
ARTH334 with professor Brown is a great class to take if you need elective credits. Yes you will spend a good amount of time each week watching films and reading but its worth it. There are about 3 essays in this course but he is a very relaxed grader- he doesn't really even enforce material citing in his papers. Make an effort and you'll get an A
I took the class over the summer as one of my last electives. There is some reading, but it is easy stuff. I loved how much he info he gave us outside of the readings and videos. I learned a ton more than I thought I would. I must have sent him 100 emails and he got back to me with every one. Good class, great prof.
I took this class to meet my Upper-Level credit criteria thinking it would be easy to pair with my science + lab. I was actually very wrong and the class was extremely time-consuming and challenging. However, Prof. Brown is the best instructor I have had. He gives amazing feedback and will help you develop an appreciation for cinema. Take him!!
This class is not tough. There are three essays and weekly discussions. I took it because I like movies and I needed another credit. I am glad I did! The class was great! He makes posts during the week that make the material interesting and it really shows he knows ALOT about movies. Great teacher at UMGC!
Good online class and instructor. There are three essays and discussions each week. You have to complete readings and watch movies. He always gets back to you really quick when you have questions. He was on the discussion more than most other profs I had.
Class has discussions and papers. Not much more to it. Discussions can be busy work but the papers matter the most. He gives tips and looks at rough drafts. He for sure knows his stuff cause he puts up a ton of info in the discussion.
Great online prof. I did not want to take this class because I am an IT major. I took it because I needed an elective and it didn't sound hard. The class is your regular discussions with a few papers. He is in the class all the time and returns emails fast. Really helpful prof and I learned alot about movies.
This professor is the hardest professor I took at UMGC. He does try to help you but thinks his learning movies class is gonna be what makes or breaks you in life. Also, provides so many readings for no reason.
Who wouldve thought a 4.0 GPA would be affected negatively by a class called Understanding Movies. Overbearing workload. Be prepared to watch movies all week. Do not take if you are military or working. Must check the discussions multiple times a week and REPLY TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON NO MATTER WHAT.
There are discussions each week where you have to make three posts and just check in to see if anybody said anything. I made four posts for every discussion and was fine. Three essays on movies you pick. Just pick ones you like and you will be ok.
This is the only instructor I've had that is ALWAYS on the discussion board. He gives you feedback when you are doing something wrong so you can do better. The class was not hard if you understand what he is looking for. Ask questions when your don't. Trust me it helps.
I took this class as an elective and I am glad I did. You learn so much about movies and he walks you through the assignments. There are 1-2 discussions each week with three essays. Readings are not hard but there is alot of it. He is on the discussion board more than any instructor I have had. Good class.
This guy gives more reminders then any teacher I've had at the college. I think we got one everyday or something. He was always on the discussion boards. Don't miss deadlines and ask him for help and you'll be fine.
I really enjoyed the class and the instructor was great. He really takes time to give you detailed comments on rough drafts and on discussions. Probably the most engaged professor I have ever had. There are 1-2 discussions each week with two essays. The final essay has three parts. Just watch out for deadlines.
The class is not tough but you have to do the work three essays and 1 or 2 discussions a week turn in stuff on time because he won't take late work.
I took this class because I needed an elective and thought it would be fun. I haven't taken any other film classes but his knowledge and enthusiasm really helped. He is on the discussion board all the time so watch for his comments. Also do the rough drafts because it helped me out.
This is a good class, but it is fast paced. You have discussions each week, but not hard. I had to re-read stuff to keep up. You choose your own movies to talk about so that is good. Three essays that can be tough buy he gives you some help with materials.
This guy is always in the class discussions and writes a ton of information. Keep up with the deadlines because he doesnt take late work. Two short essays and a final essay. Discussions each week.
Discussions each week & a couple of papers. He gives you alot of information so make sure you keep up. Not a hard class but you have to watch deadlines bc he doesnt take late work.
There was so many reports to do and not a lot of time to do them. Professor Brown was very understanding of my work life and understood that, at the time, I was not so good at essays. The essays just took a lot of time to produce and it is also peer reviewed so that helps! Highly recommended, just don't stress on the writing!
This is not a hard class but you have to keep up with the deadlines. Stuff due on Tueday and Sunday. 1 or 2 discussions a week and 3 essays. Always gets back ro email + always in discussions.
This was a good class to take in my last semester. Weekly discussions that are not hard but make sure you read because he wants you to reference it. Two essays where you choose your own movies. The final essay he makes you do it in three parts. Just don't be late because he doesn't take late papers.
Do not take his class! Especially if you are military it is the most time consuming class I have taken at umgc. Also for a class about understanding movies you spend a lot of your time writing papers that end up getting graded very harshly. I wish I saw these reviews before I had took his class.
This is a class where you watch movies and you discuss them. Not too hard but there are a couple of essays where he wants you to look at a movie real close.
For such a useless class and useless information that has no real-world job applications, this class is taken way too seriously. Why do I have to reply to everyone who replies to my discussions, also the deadlines are not clear, and he wants too much out of people with lives and other more important and actually applicable classes.
A particularly interesting course and this is because the professor really knows his stuff! He is always adding comments in the discussion boards and trying to give us more information about the topics. He is also always on the discussion board. Recommend!
Good online instructor. I have taken many online classes but never had one where the teacher was so much on the discussion board. There are announcements practically every day. He has discussions and essays. Alot of reading but nothing too difficult to read. I would take him again if I could but film's not my major.
He is an avid user of emails to keep the class updated throughout the week which is good but there were times that I thought, "really, another one?" He is very critical of papers so expect to write more detailed than you have in the past for papers to get a decent grade. Discussions weren't as harshly graded just follow the criteria.
Best professor I had at UMGC. He was motivating on the discussion boards (because he is always on there and commenting). I ran into some trouble with writing and he helped but I had to ask him for help. Sends out a ton of email reminders so it is pretty tough to miss a deadline. Just watch when he comments on your post tells you to do better.
Good professor and class. Class isn't too hard as long as you do the discussions and the papers. 1-2 discussions each week and three papers.
Just finished the course - it was great! Its a movie class so he has you watch alot of movies. Discussions each week have 2 deadlines with them. There are 2 short essays and a final essay with 3 parts at different times during the course. Only thing its easy to get bogged down with other classes and forget due dates. I did a few times.
Don't take his course if you have a busy work/family life. Course content is better suited for classroom teaching, avoid his online courses if you aren't a full-time student and work Mon-Friday full-time. He gives no quarter to those with responsibilities outside of school. Grades harder than the assignments require and is open about that fact.
I took this class during my last semester. Discussions were not hard and he is always on there making comments. There are 2 discussions most weeks. The last 2 weeks only had 1. The 2 essays where you choose movies are not hard but he wants details and explanations. We worked on final essays all semester so it was easy to do good on it.
Probably the easiest clas I took this semester. It has all the regular discussions which weren't hard. You have to write a post and comment on 2 others posts. There are 3 essays but he tells you what to do and get As. The final essay was not hard because he helps you with it throughout the class.
Good class and the professor writes on discussion boards. Maybe sends too many emails but grading is laid back and assignments aren't hard. Didn't like that we had to do more than one discussion some weeks but it wasn't too bad.
The overall class is not difficult but the class covers alot of history of film. He makes you watch a movie a week but you get to choose them so that makes it not so bad. One discussion per week is reasonable but he has two at some times which can make it tough to keep straight. He sends out maybe too many announcements but that helped me keep.
The class was well organized and the weeks go by fast. He is defiantly passionate about film because he is always in the discussions. He was helpful when I had some problems with understanding one of the assignments and he walked me through it. It was a good elective but not sure I would take another film class because its not my major.
Good elective class. Nothing too hard but no new movies except if you choose them. Would have liked more different movies to read about. Online discussions and a couple of short essays.
Good class and teacher. This was my last class and I wanted something interesting to end on. He has you choose films you want as long as you talk about whatever the topic is for the week like camera, writing, editing or something else. The readings are not hard and the videos help the discussions and the essays.
Good class. Easy grader with discussions and essays. He makes class interesting in the discussions with links to videos and posts he makes.
Super laid back class. A discussion a week and a couple of easy quizzes. He makes you watch 2 movies a week but it isn't bad movies. There is a final paper but he grades easy.
Super easy class where he has you watch a couple if movies aweek + discussions. Couple of quizzes and a short paper.
Easy class for an elective. I took this bc I like movies and you watch movies. There are discussions each week and a couple of easy quizzes. One paper but it ain't hard.
Good class for an art elective. He makes you watch 1 or 2 movies a week with a discussion. 1 essay and a couple of quizzes.
I love movies and took this class to learn something. It was good overall. He grades pretty easy on the discussions and assignments. He gives you a list of movies to choose from for the discussion. I wish there was more different ones to choose but I guess he made them for a reason.
It was a good class. he has a list of movies to choose from but it is good because i had seen so many of them already. discussions were simple and the quizzes werent tough as i thought they would be. final presentation was easy too.
If you have to take any classes at any level, I hope you have to take Dr. Brown. He is great on the discussion boards and gives great feedback. He is a fast grader too so I always knew how I was doing in the class. I hope to take another class with Dr. Brown again in the future!
He is a good online teacher because he is always on the discussion board. There's a list of movies that he has you choose from to watch. I just chose the ones I liked and had seen but I guess you can choose any other one from the list if you want. The discussions are easy and rite about the readings and always says give evidence from the films.
This was a great class and a breeze. we just finished the final project and have one week to go but nothing hard left. the discussions are pretty easy but he wants you to cite the readings and videos and talk about the films he has you watch. there are discussions each week with a couple of quizzes and one essay that he breaks up in parts.
Just finished up the class. It was a good class for an elective. My advice is to know he is always in the discussions. You can't just try to write whatever and he just grades it. He wants you to talk about the movies he assigns. Tesdings and videos were easy too.
Good class and he gets grades back fast. I took it for an elective but it was easy enough with my other classes.
Easy class but I wish he had a better choice of movies to assign. I thought most were boring and slow. Discussions and quizzes are easy. The final paper is ok.
Good class where you watch movies. I just chose some I had seen before and wrote about them. He wants you to talk about the readings and videos so be ready for that.
He's an ok professor. Tough grader on EVERYTHING!! To put it into perspective, I'm a computer science major with 90 credits completed and this was my first B. So there's that...
Took this as an elective to finish my Public Safety degree. Probably the easiest class I took at UMGC. 1 discussion each week on a film he assigns and you choose another one from his lists. I chose films I had watched before and I had seen some of the ones he assigned. There are three quizzes and none were hard. Three parts of a paper.
Just finished this class and it was great. Its an elective so I thought it would be easy. All of the discussions and the paper was easy. But I really learned so much more about movies and it made me think more than I thought it would.
Tough grader! Class was easy, and assignments and discussions were straight forward so I thought. He just grades as if your goal is to be come a movie director. I would take again just probably choose a different professor.
Pretty easy class. Grading was laid back and he makes postage on the discussion boards all of the time. I guess my only complaint is that he sends out too many reminder emails. But I think he thinks that will make you remember you are taking his class or something.
I took his Film studies class based on his reviews and I am glad I did. I thought it was pretty easy. The discussions are pretty standard. I think I got less that 100% only on one discussion because I forgot to make a comment. He has a final essay but he makes you do it in three parts - a proposal, outline and references, and the essay.
I liked the class overall. The discussions were easy and you have 1 per week. There is a final paper and a reference list with an outline. Fast grader. I would have liked more films to choose from but the lists he have are ok.
Easiest class I have taken at UMGC. There are movies you watch and write about. Not much reading each week. There is one essay but you get the entire class to write it.
The class is pretty easy. The only thing to watch out for is that he makes you watch two movies a week. This is one he assigns and one you get to choose from his list. That can take allot of time if you haven't watched them before so I always chose movies I could get with the shortest length. Discussions and essay are easy because of his feedback.
Tough grader with no real reason to be one. You have to keep up with your discussion posts during the week and respond to every single person who respond, even if a response is not warranted. Wanted a lot of detail oriented discussion post and never seemed satisfied with most responses posted. This is an elective, not a phd program.
Pretty straightforward class. There are 7 movies he assigns but I am not sure if he changes the titles or not. Then, you have to choose from a list each week. I used the same film for a few of the discussions and it was one I watched before. Discussions were easy and his essay has three parts that his feedback is good on.
I liked the class and it was one of the easiest I took this semester. He has one film he assigns for everyone and then a list of movies to choose from. Three short quizzes that were not tough. One paper with 3 parts at different times. He is a quick grader so that was nice too.
Took the class last semester. One of my first at UMGC. It was easy for the most part. He is strict with deadlines but the work is pretty simple and deadlines are Sundays and Tuesdays.
Pretty easy class with a discussion each week. He has 3 quizzes that were simple and asks some silly questions too. The paper wasn't hard either bc he has you write 3 parts. Pretty strict on deadlines tho.
Glad I chose this as an elective. He is pretty laid back on grading. Discussions were easy with a set of prompts. There is one movie assigned for each week & you watch another one from a list. The quizzes were short and easy too. The paper took some time but he gives you feedback along the way.
Easy class and his grading wasn't bad. He makes alot of posts in the discussion boards. Sends out too many emails tough.
Took it as a elective for IT major. It was fun and easy but it would be better to have different movies to watch than those he assigned. Some were boring. Discussions just like other classes. 2 or 3 quizzes and a essay about IT in film.
Good class and if made me look at movies different. The assignments are fairly easy. A discussion each week, 3 quizzes with no time limits, and a final essay. He has levels to the essay that you complete in the course but not hard. Just had some issues with replying to people who posted on my post.
Pretty easy class. He has a list of movies to choose from but I didnt like all of them. Discussion boards are easy with a first post and you have to comment on two other students. Essay was easy because I knew the movie I chose.
Good class about movies and he grades quick. Liked some if the movies but some were bad but he makes you watch two a week for discussions.
Avoid this teacher at all cost. He does not stick to the rubric. Tough grader. I'm not sure how he has so many high rating honestly.
I don't normally write reviews, but this class was absolutely ridiculous. The grading is super tough, and he asks for way too much. I truthfully would not recommend this professor to anyone.
I don't see why there would be any bad reviews. In my last week of the class and it has been a breeze. Discussion posts were pretty much what I have done in my classes so far. He seems pretty laid back on the grading and have me some pointers in the final essay.
Tests are based off readings and videos. The discussions were easy but there are two movies to watch each week. I do wish he had more international films and not just Hollywood.
Class was pretty easy overall. It took some time to watch the movies he assigns so be prepared for that. Paper was pretty easy but he makes you research. The quizzes and the discussions were pretty simple too.
Good class for the most part. He is pretty strict on deadlines though. I liked the films but not all of them.
He makes the class interesting because he posts on the discussion boards. I liked the films I chose but I would have liked more variety. The quizzes were short and easy. The essay was not too tough just make sure you chose a film you know.
Good class and the teacher is always on the discussion board. Fast grader too.
The class was easy overall. You learn about camera, editing, writing, directing, and acting. He has some specific movies he assigns to everyone but a list of others you can choose from. I liked it overall but would have liked some documentary or war films to watch.
Film class was great! Professor Brown is extremely knowledgeable and obviously loves film. I would definitely take another film class with him but I am graduating.
Good class and he grades quick. I liked the discussions but the quizzes were kind of a waste of time.
Good class overall. Discussions and assignments were pretty easy but some of the movies hr makes you watch I didnt like.
Pretty easy class he seems to know alot about film. I did the presentation so I don't know how he grades essays. Discussions were straightforward he has some questions for you to answer in your post and respond to 2 others in the class. Watch out because he makes you make a comment to people who post on your thread but just do 1 for everybody.
Super easy class. He always posts on the discussion board but make sure you meet his deadlines because he is pretty rigid on that.
This was a good class overall. His quizzes have some wonky questions on them but I never found them hard. The discussions were pretty much like any class discussions where you post on the readings and videos. He does make you watch movies but I wish we could choose our own and not just what he lists. Grading seemed pretty laid back.
Class was allright. Professor grades easy but there is a discussion every week.
Super easy class. Regular discussions boards and a couple of easy quizs. Maybe 10 questions or something. There is a final project but he walks you threw it bc you have to have 3 parts of it.
Easy class. A discussion every week where he gives you movies to watch. Easy quizzes and the paper wasn't hard. I would have liked if the movies were free.
There are so many movies he makes you watch. I watched 10 over 8 weeks. Good class though because discussions, quizzes, and paper were easy. Really easy on grading.
Easiest class I had this semester. I like watching movies so maybe that helped. I think two movies a week wasn't bad for me because I chose one that I had watched before each week. The discussions were pretty standard but he was easy on the grading. The quizzes were simple too. The essay was work but he has you do it in levels.
Good professor. The class is basically discussions with a couple of quizzes. There is a paper but it was easy and none of the work took too long.
