Dr. Cage is super helpful with any questions you have and is really good at explaining anything you don't understand in the lab OR lecture.

He is by far my favorite professor I've had a JMU!! He's amazing!! He will always go out of his way to help you learn the material and is very enthusiastic about his work. He is very approachable and hands on with the class and loves to answer questions! He's just a great guy!!

Dr. Cage is hands down the best professor I've had at JMU. He's very nice and approachable, and there wasn't any question I asked him all semester he wasn't able to answer with crystal clarity. Tests are difficult but they are made by the department head so he doesn't have much say what goes on them.

Dr. Cage is a must for lab! It's not an easy class, but he is sure to emphasize important points that show up on the exam. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he can tell if you're not there. Very chill, but I wouldn't miss more than 1-2 labs for your own sake. Take it at a time when you know you'll be awake because your grade is based on your effort.

Human Anatomy is hard AF, but his lab instruction lowkey saved my lecture grade too. If you pretty much just follow him around during class he'll tell you what will/won't be on the test (write it down when he says that) and gives you lots of cool ways remember stuff.

I took this class for my nursing pre-req and he was the nicest professor i've had at JMU. He grades to the point and what you learn is what you are graded on. He always answers emails and stays after labs to answer classes/ is easy to find. If you study and keep up with lecture you'll get an A.

Cage was a fantastic lab instructor. The class is hard, but he runs through everything section by section each class to make things more digestible. Gives you slides to label and practice which I highly recommend using. Not required to buy a textbook but I would to label the slides I talked about. 4 tests, 1 final: noncumulative, mini-quizzes.

Cage took over for Kilkenny in my lab and he made everything make sense. He doesn't talk to you like you've been an anatomist for 25 years. You are graded each day with a pre class quiz and then the practicals. STAY for the whole class and go through all the stations because what you do in class will be on the exams!

Lab mainly consists of identifying the different structures you learn in lecture (both classes are in sync in terms of unit) so it helps when you have a professor who knows their stuff. I just finished the summer lab course with a 99.88% He has passion, he cares about the material and he makes learning it really easy. Dr Cage is an amazing professor and person. He is truly knowledgeable in his field and can explain things and how they work clearly. When it comes to the 290 lecture, there are only tests [but the tests are genuinely from the slides he provides, and the tests are doable (except for Unit 3, all I can say is pray). Go for him if you can!
