Best english Professor I have ever had. Very laid back I actually feel like a better writer after taking this class.

Dr. Corbin is really cool! He understands that students are people & is really lenient with essay submission deadlines. He also gives you the chance to rewrite 1 essay for a chance at a better grade for extra credit.

Dr. Corbin is one of the best instructors I've had. He honestly cares for his students and doesn't fail students if they don't deserve it. He doesn't just instruct lessons, he teaches them and makes sure you learn and understand them. He tries to make lessons fair for everyone to learn, complete, and turn in.

It's a great class. As long as you do the work required, it's hard not to pass. Criteria needed are usually laid out by him, so you should know what to do. The feedback he gives are super helpful since I am a weak writer myself. He also does these cool article of the day. Glad I took the class. :)

Professor Bryan Corbin is the best English instructor I've ever taken. If you need to take an English class take form this professor and you will get an awesome grade while having a good time. He is very respectful and will always give you feedback or help you with anything you need.

I would recommend this professor to anyone taking an English course at San Jac. He always works with students as much as he can. He is always willing to help and look over essays in order to fix errors. I took both his fall term and spring term for English I and II. I would take his class again!

I took Professor Corbin for a three week winter mini. Hes very caring, and makes sure that students are involved during class activities. Theres four papers due, and he gives feedback after each rough draft, and again after its been graded. If you put in the effort and consider his feedback, its an easy A!

I took his 8-week online during the Spring. There was 5 essays, 1-2 discussion boards a week to review one of your peers essay. One of the Essays was actually a literacy project where you get to make 3 worksheets for an ESL learner in place of an essay. Professor Corbin made the class easy and enjoyable, I highly recommend him!

This was my first professor and my first online course. I could not have been more pleased. He was polite, professional and understandable. Directions are clear, but in the event of confusion, he is very quick to respond to emails or meetings. He met me during his lunch break, well outside conference times. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Dr Corbin was an amazing professor. Both semesters I had his class and it went by easily. His grading is clear and if you give a rough draft for any essay he will tell you exactly what you need to correct. Class work it very easy to complete. Overall Dr Corbin was energetic and got straight to the point of every assignment. I highly recommend.

Professor Corbin is good at what he does. He has a good understanding of what he teaches and is fair when grading. The workload inst overwhelming, its manageable and there is enough time given to complete each assignment. I enjoyed the class and would take it again.

We had 4 major essays to do throughout the semester. They tended to be about 4-5 pages long. He would let the class edit each other's essays so we could have good feedback. In the end, he would also review our rough drafts and provide feedback. We were able to turn in late essays and have no points deducted! We also had a chance to get extra credit

This has been my first semester of college, and taking this class definitely helped ease my mind. He is always quick to respond to emails and quick with a joke as well. His humor makes the class feel alive and welcoming. As long as you do your best and pay attention to instruction, you do very well in class.

Professor Corbin is a great instructor! I left this English 1302 class to the very end because I thought it was going to be hard, but Corbin made it easy to understand and actually complete the work. He is highly recommended by me. You will enjoy being in his class either on campus or online.

I took this class online and it was fairly simple. The discussions boards are mandatory and weekly. As long as you do your best then you should pass. At the end of the semester there was a computer error where my final essay did not go through, however, he graciously helped me to fix the problem! :)

Professor Corbin is truly a great professor! He constantly reminds his students that he is here to help, and not to make your life harder! He posts all of the important dates for the semester and uploads helpful videos to Blackboard. Definitely my favorite professor!

If you want a professor that is really clear about his lectures than i really recommend this teacher. when it comes to your essays he gives you really good feedback and he even gives you help by watching a you tube video if you did something incorrectly. He is a really fun teacher would gladly take him again.

I took his summer class, which was not too bad. He's good at making the class interesting and still teaches you what you need to know. Definitely would take again.

Bryan is a great online teacher. As usual, everything was scheduled out ahead of time. You have to be really responsible and self disciplined when taking online classes. Everything is there for you, so get on black board every day and do a discussion board once a day. Do not wait till the last minute. He's very helpful!!

Professor Corbin was a delightful instructor. He is nice, caring, and a quick responder to emails. The assignments were meaningful and interesting which made writing the essays easier. Make sure to do what is asked and you will easily get through this course.

Dr. Corbin is by far the best English professor ever. I took his course online this summer. His class was the first online class I have taken so I was a bit nervous about it from the beginning. If you have any questions he is very accessible through email as well. Follow the syllabus, show up to class, work hard & I promise you will do just fine.

His made English class fun and easy to learn. I enjoyed his class. He usually starts with a short presentation and lets you work on short term and long term assignments in class. I never had homework except when I edit essays. He gives really good feedback and makes you a better writer.

Dr. Corbin is a very caring professor, he is more than willing to help anybody who asks. When you ask for feedback he is very detailed and explains how to go about fixing any errors. I took his course for a summer session, and he was one of the least stressful professors I've had. Follow his directions, meet deadlines, and correct your mistakes he notes on rough drafts. Class was painless to get through, and time passed by fast. You will also interact with your peers, making it a comfortable environment to come to everyday.

I took Dr. Corbin for an online class. He is an exceptional professor. He is very detailed, and wants nothing but success for his students. He works with you any way he can. As long as you don't slack you'll pass exceptionally. If you struggle in English I suggest you take him because you'll improve greatly.

Dr. B is an outstanding professor! I just finished his winter mini and it was worth the compacted time! As long as you do your part and on time there is no reason to not pass with an A. Dr. B works with you as long as you work with him. If you aren't the best in English I recommend taking him!

There are 4 modules each one has an essay and some practice writing assignments. He gives GREAT feedback on essays. I am a very amateur writer and I have made B's and A's on all essays. Dr. Corbin was a real gem. He created an organized syllabus and calendar that he updated regularly, gave precise instructions to improve essays, and he answers emails in minutes. The work amount was just right and he gave us plenty of time to complete our assignments. He even found time to grade assignments barely a week after turn-in.

Favorite ENGL teacher I've had in college! Dr. Corbin was very clear with directions, his class was very well structured & organized, & I genuinely learned a lot from this class. We had 4 essays, & lots of essay related assignments. He structured it to where u were writing your essays weeks before they were due which made writing them much easier.

He is someone that really cares about what he teaches and you can tell he loves his job. I truly enjoyed and learned a lot from the professor.

I really like this professor but he was unfair with grading essays. Mind you, this is English 1 not 2. He was clear about assignments, had a few discussion boards, reading assignments and 4 essays. Responds fast to emails, just a tough grader on essays.

Great professor! If you gave effort he gave 100s. He pretty much gave me 100 on all assignments except papers which he still gave 90s on. He assigns a lot of work but it's not difficult and he provides a lot of help with essays. Loved him!

It is my late review. I took ENGL130 in Spring 2022. Yes, you will write essays, but he will help you a lot during the process. Yes, you will have assignments, but they are easy to go. My class was amazing. Mister Corbin will help you as much as he could. He cares about all of his students. Take his classes, you will not regret it!

He teaches APA style and gives constructive feedback. He really cares about his students and wants them to learn and improve. He is very responsive outside of class. He provides multiple books to read which students pick from. His lectures are interesting and unexpected. He is very kind and has a smile that shines through his tone alone.

Professor Bryan Corbin is an excellent teacher. He kept classes interesting & rarely did he ever lecture (if he did, it was not monotone/heavy). He is an inspiration and fun teacher; truly made me enjoy writing in his classes. I took a summer course + a spring semester from him. Majority of students came back to take him again.

He gives great feedback on essays. He has the students make greeting cards for seniors. Has short lessons on grammar, punctuation, etc. The essays were challenging but doable.

This professor really cares about his students. All the papers are in APA format but he makes sure to give you a lot of resources to help with that. Classes are fun and not lecture heavy.

Take him for Composition I and II. He is extremely polite, easy to reach, and his class is very condensed and easy. Essays are heavily graded, but he gives you a chance to submit optional rough drafts for the first two essays so he can provide feedback before you submit them. He does not use Turnitin but SafeAssign, which is less rigorous.

Amazing professor. As advice, if you take him for Composition II, be careful with the evaluation essay as it almost knocked my A grade down to a B. You can ask him to resubmit any of the first 3 essays for a better score; I just did not do it because it was the last week of the semester and even with the score I got, I still managed an A. Take him!

He is the best English professor that San Jac has! I wish I had taken him for Composition I. He drops 4 of your lowest non-essay grades. The downside is that he takes too long to grade stuff. Essays are graded heavily, but I have had tougher graders. He is extremely polite, and I felt very good in his class. Take him for all your English classes!

This course was online and consisted of reading one book, four essays, some discussion papers, and there was supposed to be one group work but was canceled due to technical issues. The professor was very kind, responded to emails really fast, and gave good feedback on the essays. The course is easy if you can explain your thoughts on the reading.

Essay instructions are clear, books are easy and short, and most assignments help you read less outside of class. He does a lot to make this class be as pain free as possible. Overall a very great professor! He is straightforward with his grading expectations and gives you feedback on where you could've done better. Compared to other professors I've had he grades his papers a little harder, but not impossibly either. Good pick if you're wanting an online course because he communicates and has reasonable deadlines.

This professor loves his job and loves helping students. From the first day, he always reminded us that he was here to help us. Even though I barely asked questions, I felt comfortable knowing I would not be judged if I was confused about the topic. On the assignments that we would do, he would take time out of his day to give us feedback.

Professor Corbin is a great person. I got a barely passing grade due to my own faults. He tried his hardest to help us all pass and replied quickly to all questions via email. Dr. B is a caring lecturer and an easy grader if you meet his standards. He gladly reviews work before the submission date. Lectures are engaging with group projects, and homework is mandatory. Extensions or reconsiderations are possible for missed work or AI-flagged assignments.

Dr Bryan Corbin has been my favorite professor by far! He makes sure you understand everything well and is always open to answering any questions you might have. On top of that, I really liked the way he gave us inspirational essays that really changed my point of view in life. He is really nice, and gives light homework.

Dr. Corbin really cares about his students work. In my class there were 4 essays. APA citation is important. We had to read 2 short books for 2 different essays but they're very inspirational. He gives more than enough time to finish essays. There are in class assignments and you can't makeup it up if you miss class.

In his class we had 5 major essays (the last one was a reflection essay), weekly reeding responses and one group project. Always read the syllabus because the instructions to the essays were only there. In general, everything was smooth and he had nice lecture materials. Not a lot of homework in this class but get ready to read books

I loved Dr. Corbin as a professor. I took his class as a dual-credit class when I was in high school. He was sweet and always kept his students updated when he wasn't available to answer emails. You can turn in work late and still get up to a 70. He truly loves what he does, and is an overall amazing professor.

I took this for an easy summer composition credit and he was definitely an amazing professor. We read three books about self help with happiness, kindness, and procrastination, writing essays about what we learned and connections. We also wrote a personal essay lastly about a struggle we overcame.

Great professor who genuinely cares, but he IS very by-the-book. Attendance is strict (5 absences max) and I almost got an FX, but he worked with me when I communicated why I was out. He also reported AI plagiarism, and many students got caught. He's kind and understanding, just be present and don't slack, as my issues could have been avoided.

Without a doubt, you should definitely take him for your COMP classes. You will have to read maybe 3 books, but they are easy. I am taking 1302 with him and looking forward to it! 100% 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Professor gave good insight on writing. Grades strict but doesn't take off points for no reason. Always gives feedback on why you got your grade. Answers emails fast, and is kind with turning in things as long as you communicate.
