Not hard, you just need to study at least two hours a day. Hand out notes are great. Does not cover what will be tested on, just needs you to know everything. Beginning in the summer 2005 the final will be cumulative, this is unbelievable, 13 Chapters.

So far, he is my first B in college. I im use to all A's. He has 6 tests, no other work to bring up your grade. study his outline book to do well. I got on average 86 on his tests, but there was nothing else to bring me to an A. I rather have more busy work. He is not easy, he is a good teacher with very high expectations.

Very NIce guy, good @ what he does and can any almost any question you ask. But if you have any kind of problem paying attention and if lectures bore you the death then you might have a problem. He is great! But I would only recommend him to those who can keep it together when lecture starts to get long and boring... good luck.

The Good: Dr. Derrickson is extremely organized, very motivated to teach every night, and is willing to help you so that you understand. The Bad: Dr. Derrickson forgets that this is an intro A & P class and expects you to memorize insignificant details and study two hours daily (including Sat and Sun)...the cummulative final is just horrible.

I took professor Derrickson last sememster and I really enjoyed his class. It is very organized and he does a great job of letting you know how to study for his tests and how to be successfull in his class. I received an "A", I did not have to study 2-3 hours daily but I did spend at least 4-6 hours studying a few days prior to the test.

The best science teacher at Valencia! He knows science like its the back of his hand and can therefore make it crystal clear to even the most ignorant student. So good at explaining how things work. He makes the class easy!

Take him, take him, take him! He prints his own chapters for you so you dont need the txtbook. He repeats everything to make it SO EASY to grasp the info. He is like a walking encyclopedia for physiology. He makes it all interesting!

TAKE HIM! He co-authored the text and gives you his own notes to use...His teaching style is very clear but over the summer, grading consists of just exams and no curving but go to class and review your notes and you'll be fine. Fantastic teacher.

I took him for A&P II. Great in lecture. Uses great analogies for easy understanding. Gives free 100 pts for attending class. The only grades you receive are for tests. No extra credit. I am a note card type of studier which his notes are hard to transfer. you take 6 exams each 50 multiple choice questions and 100 pts for attendance. he does grade on a curve or round up so make sure u study.

He's completely approachable about anything relating to the human body! His notes are super easy to follow. Gives extra credit for attendance. Wish he was teaching Microbiology!

I disagree with the 2/11 poster as well. He clearly explained why he's presenting future material ahead of time because it was alot to learn. He does have some tricky tests, but it forces you to REALLY know the material. He supplies notes, and all tests come straight from the notes. So it's all a matter of how much you apply what you've learned.

He is a GREAT teacher! Gives you points just for showing up to class and textbook purchase is unnecessary because everything on the test is in his notes. No HW,labs or quizzes, just exams. Show up to class, study the notes and you'll do fine!

Dr.Derrickson is an excellent professor with an engaging teaching style.(Talks fast!!) That being said, if you do not test well and you value your GPA find a different A&P professor. Other than 100 points for attendance which is averaged in as another test grade, ALL points are from tests. If I can improve my test taking I will take him again.

He test for Chapters 1&2 and he is already going over Ch3, he is very clear, but you have to kill yourself to study every single day, his notes is just too much...If work, dont take this professor. You need prior knowledge of anatomy coming into this class. But Dr. Derrickson is very helpful and clear when explaining concepts. You need to study and I suggest you purchase a workbook if you are a novice to this subject. I had a great time in his class- it was very interesting. This is an excellent professor. I highly recommend him to anyone taking A&P 1 and 2. He is very knowledgeable. He breaks the information down so you can understand it. He made his own lecture notes book so you don't need the textbook. Test come straight from the book. He has a good personality and loves what he does which shows in his teaching.

He is a great Professor. Funny and very helpful. He as a great passion for what he does. I took him for A&P 1 and 2. He give 6 to 5 multiple choice test(50 Questions) through the whole semester. That is your grade with a bonus of attendance. every thing on the test comes from the lecture notes book. You will have to know everything in it.

Professor Derrickson is extremely nice and helpful but his test are the devil. You must know EVERYTHING in the book word for word and know it by heart. He uses a lot of confusing questions where he asks 2 closesly related things in new terminology and he swaps like one word and listing various closely related answers. EXTREMELY HARD!

Dr. Derrickson is a great instructor. You DO need to study but he conveniently condenses the big book into lecture notes. The big book is not mandatory but it’s very helpful for a visual learner like myself. He made APII interesting and his analogies made the informing stick. I wish he taught more science classes like micro, chem and biochem.

I really enjoyed this class. The professor lectures a lot but he's very clear and willing to answer ANY questions. You don't HAVE to take notes because he provides you with a notebook. I hardly used the textbook. Just study the notebook and you should pass his tests and the class! I would surely recommend him!

Human Sexuality Class - Love this Professor's lecture style. Fast talking but is extremely thorough and makes sure you have and understand all of the information by going over everything several times. Plenty of reviewing!! Great teacher!!! Take him! Definitely read the notes he provides. He does expect you to know them inside and out. You won't need the book but for the clinical applications. He breaks things down and simplifies them. Overall, a great teacher for a difficult subject. I took him for A&P2 also.

Here's what you need to know. He provides a great set of notes. Know them inside out. Even the obscure stuff! Study the clinical terms hard. Only a handful pop up on the test, but you need to know them all. All tests are multiple choice (MC)! He teased that you may have to draw and label things on test, but ultimately asked MC questions about them.

Doctor Derrickson is the best!! Very nice and approachable. He will help during class and office hours. He co-wrote textbook and knows everything A&P! He will give you a detailed outlined notebook with everything he covers in class and on tests. 5 tests plus final, not sure if he switched back to quizzes as I took him in Fall 2011. If you study the notebook he gives you will pass with flying colors, he breaks down everything for you. I am no genius but was able to Ace every test. Great teacher!

Prof. Derrickson KNOWS his stuff. He has 5 tests, & counts attendance as a grade. He gives you notes, & that's all you need for the test (you occasionally need the book). His lectures are based off of the notes, so as long as you pay attention, you don't have to spend hours & hours studying. You have to know the material, but he explains it well!!

Fun teacher! I really enjoyed this semester in his class. Dr. Derrickson is very smart and knows how to teach. All of the notes are online to print out. All you have to do is study the notes for the test. There is 5 tests (he also counts attendance as a test grade, an extra 100 points). Book not needed. Just for pic purposes. Highly recommend! :)

This teacher was amazing! it was an hour and a half class but he managed to get through all the material clearly and without rushing us. the notes are available online, i advise printing them out and review/highlight the section as he teaches it. wonderful class all around! i wish i wasn't switching campus' or I'd take him for anatomy.

This class is no joke. Super fast paced, complicated subject matter, but Derrickson is very clear. This class should be mandatory. Such a wealth of information. I am no sciencebiology buff at all, and I have seemed to be doing quite well in class. There is no homework except reading. It is a lecture class, if you miss any info the first time around he does repeat himself which is helpful. He wants to make sure you get it. The tests are all multiple choice and on scantrons.

He is an amazing professor! He's tough and makes you work for it but it wouldn't be college if it was easy.

He's not the best professor for anatomy and physiology. He gives you notes to memorize which guarantees you pass, but doesn't mean you are learning the material for long term memory. Easy A if you study, but not the best setting to actually learn.

I actually took his AP2 class summer 2014, but the material I learned from him has helped me tremendously as I study other science courses at my university. By far one of the best teachers I've had in my college career! So straightforward, he gives you everything you need for the test, so you know exactly where to study from. The only reason you could get a bad grade is because you did not study enough because as said before, he gives you everything you need. Not only that, he gives awesome lectures!

Dr. Derrickson is an amazing professor! His lectures are so thorough and he gives you everything you need to pass the tests in his notes. He's super organized and follows the syllabus to a T. He's overall a wonderful! I would definitely take him again for any biology course.

By far the best professor in Valencia. Highly recommend. Will learn a lot and pass with an A. Lectures are interesting. Tests are easy as long as you read through the notes. Mr. Derrickson gives access to online textbook and provides the notes with all information needed for the tests. Only 6 tests.

Very enthusiastic about his lessons, very clear and repetitive as well. We only were graded on 5 exams and attendance which was nice but the tests are somewhat difficult if you don't study. His notes are great, make sure you print them and take them to class because he talks fast. Taught taboo topics and didn't make it awkward at all.

Great professor! Only 6 exams (no lab practicals). He is great at what he does and you will not be confused. Lectures are a bit long but you will get through it. Provides ALL the notes needed for the course so you don't need the textbook or study guides. Oh, and he co-wrote the AP textbook we use just an FYI. Take him!

Very interesting professor, He explain studies to you as much as possible, He gives example for you to understand, unlike other professor who just read the whole powerpoint, you will def learn with this professor. The only thing is he talk so fast like fast, but keep on repeating his self so you would catch up. Test are a little but hard

Hands down best professor I've ever taken! Wish he was teaching A&P1 next sem. Took at night, you wont leave early. Quick pace but he repeats himself. Print out his online notes before class. He is hysterical and enjoys class participation and joking. 5 tests, no homework. Book only used for online cd that links you to MindTap activities. GREAT!

I absolutely recommend Prof. Derrickson for A&P 2. His lectures are so interesting and he really knows how to put things into terms you would understand. He was hysterical too so I loved his class. Print out the notes he gives you and just pay attention in class. Overall I loved the course and I wish he taught all subjects!

This professor is really good. He teaches you everything you need to know for the test. PRINT OUT THE NOTES. He gives notes for every chapter and what's on the notes is on the test. You need to study a lot. Lots of information. The lectures are never boring but are sometimes very long. You can earn an A but it requires a lot of studying.

He is a great professor! At first it seems hard but all science is. Develop and follow the study habits he suggests- a few hours a day it'll do it . He explains very well and recounts with the class several times. Book not necessary but helpful. All test no homework only if you want extra points. I wish I took him for A&P 1, take him!

Professor Derrickson makes it very clear on the first day, show up, ask questions during lectures, and no bs and everything is fine. Don't show up at the end of the semester asking for EC though or you'll look exactly like the spongebob meme we all laughed at in 2017. His tests are easy if you study and it's honestly an easy A class as well!!

He's AMAZING! He gives 6 exams(time), 8 5questioned assignments, &gives points for attendance, you can miss 4 classes until he takes points off. He gives amazing lectures&makes it a great experience to learn the material. I would take him 100x again! I had his 6pm-9:40pm class& we usually left early but had enough time to learn a bunch of material

JUST TAKE HIM! He is a great professor! so caring and teaches very well! The exams come exactly from the notes so as long as you know the material you will get an A. BEST professor ever! Took him for summer 12 weeks, 6 exams total so every other week.

Honestly the best! Very hard class by nature but he gives you verbatim what you'll need to pass. Print out his notes (you'll use book for diagram pictures and definitions) and bring to class to go over during lecture. DON'T NEGLECT THE DEFINITIONS at the end of each chapter-you'll have 5-10 questions on each test about them. no homework. show up!

SUCH AN AMAZING PROFESSOR, decided to rate him now that I am in a nursing program and I still remember the way he explained certain things and it has stuck 2 years later! All I did was study the notes he provided and passed both classes with an A

Don't talk in class or be sick, other than that you're golden. Energetic and gives comprehensive notes and lectures. Book is used for brain taps and diagrams that may be on tests. Tests are all you really have grade wise, but are easy with mild study investment.

Almost 2 years later and I still can't get over how much I learned from Dr. D. I'm in Nursing I and doing pretty well compared to some other students and I think it's largely due to how much I learned (not memorized) from his lectures. He's also a super friendly guy with a gorgeous smile :)

He is an excellent teacher. Explains things in detail and gives you all the information you need to pass the class. Don't interrupt class because he will not hesitate to kick you out. Very interesting class.

The textbook isn't necessary except for the MindTap activities which are crucial, but super easy and helpful. You have to study for the tests, be prepared to take notes. He allows you to miss 3 classes before taking off points. Has a stern way of teaching, changes throughout the semester though. I learned a lot, good luck!

This teaching was amazing!!! I really respected the fact that he did not talk down on us when we did not do well on an exam. True he talked a little fast but whatever you missed was in his outline. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he taught. I WOULD TAKE ALL HIS CLASSES IF POSSIBLE AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS CLASSES!!

It was my honor to participate in a class with Professor, Dr. Bryan Derrickson whose caliber is respectable and well revered. He is well educated and eloquently articulates the lectured materials. It was my disfavor to not have him taught the other science course that my major required. Absolutely one of my favorite professors.

He is very clear on what you need to know for the tests because it's literally the notes he provides you. Study those papers and you have the test in your hands. He also loves his labeling, but won't tell you what pictures he's putting on the test. So you HAVE to know your stuff. He was one of my favorite professors. A tough cookie, but amazing!

He was amazing! Naturally this was an amusing class, but he taught it extremely well. We laughed, made jokes, and enjoyed learning. His grading criteria is clear from day 1; show up, pay attention, study his notes and do the mind tap activities and you'll get an A for sure. I will definitely miss him as a professor!

Great professor. He provides you his notes which are a breakdown of the chapter and what you need to know for the tests. If you just study his notes you will be golden. The notes can be lengthy BUT I prefer the notes over reading through the entire chapter. He is incredibly intelligent and really does a great job teaching.

Amazing! A very admirable Professor who knows his stuff and his more than willing to teach it to you! Not an easy course, its Anatomy, after all. You're going to have to work for your grade but study his notes, and you will be alright. Dont listen to the .1% of the pessimism here. Do yourself a favor and take his class!

Currently taking his A&P 2 class as well as Micro and it's a lot of work. I'm glad that I took Dr. Derrickson because he literally gives you an outline for each chapter, making the tests relatively easy.

I would recommend this class because Professor Derrickson makes it easier than an anatomy course needs to be. Because he wrote the text he condenses the information into outlines that the students can easily follow. He doesn't seem to care about applying the text to the lab component, however. Study calculations and numbers in the outlines.

Doctor Derrickson is a great instructor! He is very knowledgeable about the material that he is teaching, and knows how to effectively explain anatomical concepts to make it easy for his students to grasp. He also gives condensed notes of his lecture material to make studying a lot easier, which is a HUGE help. 6 exams, attendance counts.

Prof Derrickson is an amazing professor. You definitely need to study, but if you do, you'll pass all of his exams so easy. His exams are so straight forward, not tricky at all. There isn't much work as it is only 6 exams for the whole semester. He is funny too, which makes the lectures not boring. I 100% recommend him.

Took A&P2 with Dr. Derrickson this past fall and absolutely loved every class! He's a well respected professor who can explain complex subjects so well it makes it easy to understand. His notes are AMAZING! only thing I didn't like was that he doesn't allow you to record his lectures, but I did it anyway (sorry Doc! you talk super fast)

I have taken Derrickson for 2 semesters. His classes like most science classes are HARD. But he is an amazing teacher and really explains things well. If you study the notes well you should do well on the exams. But this does require a lot(!!!) of studying.

Overall great prof. Grades only on exams and attendance though. He talks loudly and quickly so it can be hard to keep up with lecture. I felt overwhelmed with his lectures. His exams are straight form his condensed notes. No extra credit.I have an A after a LOT of studying. If taking A&P at Valencia, I recommend Professor Kanani over Derrickson.

Professor Derrickson is great with lecture, he explains things well and invites questions. The grade is based only on exams and attendance, but he provides a set of notes that are helpful and he doesn't ask questions outside of the material he covered. Study the notes well and all the figures that he lists in the notes!

I could not recommend Professor Derrickson more. He is by far one of the best teachers I've had -- ever. Every day he brings enormous enthusiasm and is able to convey course information in a clear (often humorous) and understandable way. Paying attention isn't difficult in his lecture, but be ready to listen to everything he teaches!

Mr. Derrickson is a GREAT professor. Of course the science classes are a bit challenging, but in his class if you put fourth full effort you will be ok. The first day of class you will be aware of everything that is expected during the semester. I love that he has the notes for you. All you have to do is study. READ AND STUDY!

YOU WILL NOT FALL ASLEEP IN THIS CLASS. He is very funny and completely loves his job, you can tell. There are 5 exams and that is the bases of your grade. Literally, all you have to do is study with your classmates and pass! There is NO homework or stress. He is very sensitive however about being on your phone, talking, and using the bathroom.

Dr. Derrickson is THE BEST. He makes class super fun, interesting and informative. He reviews EVERYTHING which is great especially since we don't have a class with him daily. Dr. Derrickson is a truly brilliant professor. His lectures are easy to follow and he teaches the material really well. There can be overwhelming amt of information on the materials covered, but his tests are fairly easy. Just know the main points and study the various diagrams provided and you should do fine. Amazing professor!!!The only person who had helped me clearly understand cellular respiration!!! I basically just started memorizing everything a few pages at a time until I knew it by heart.I cried in the middle of the semester but I changed my approach to studying and ended up with my A!!!

Professor Derrickson is the best instructor Ive ever had. He explained things clearly to make sure everyone understand the materials. I usually procrastinate when I come to class but couldnt in his class because he made the lecture so interesting and hes also a funny professor. He provided his condensed notes which helped A LOT.

Professor Derrickson Is very nice and he knows his stuff ! Which means you have to know your stuff as well, his tests are very specific you either know it or you don't! Study his lecture notes everyday at LEAST for an hour or two study the labeling, you will be fine.

He is by far the best science teacher I have ever had. A & P 2 with him was awesome. You need to go to class and study every inch of his notes because thats what the exams are on. He is so good at explaining the most complex of concepts! Right when you walk in, the love he has for the topic rubs off on you. Study the notes and the Pictures in TB!

This is a science course, so of course it was a lot of infor at once. He gives you all the presentations and powerpoints as soon the course opens, so it's up to you to study whatever he doesn't go over in class. The tests are usually multiple choice and cover 2-3 chapters, and you have to label 2-3 diagrams that was gone over in class. STUDY!!!!!!!

I could've gotten an A in his class but I was also taking Micro at the same time (NEVER DO THAT). He is caring and will give you full credit for any missed assignments if you communicate with him. He only grades exams and gives 100% for lab sets as long as you do them. All exams are based on his pdf notes. If you fail his class, it's your fault.

I took Professor Derrickson online for A&P II. Tests are online and easy (you don't need to install the lockdown browser), question set assignments are graded for completion, Cooperative, understanding, and responds to emails quick. Highly recommend!

Derrickson is very chill. No required Zoom meetings or anything like that. He co-authored the book, so he posts the notes for you as well as an audio-recording for you to listen to and go over. 6 exams, 2 discussion posts and some lab simulations along with question sets for a grade. He's a super low maintenance guy and definitely willing to help.

If you're in A&P 2 you already have an idea from A&P 1. Yes, it is a decent amount of work but Dr. Derrickson is great because of how organized he is. He only asks test questions from his notes which is wonderful because you don't need the book. To get in A know everything in the notes (HINT: INCLUDING DISEASES!). No surprises.

I really enjoyed Dr. Derrickson's class in its entirety. I don't feel like there was so much work that it couldn't be managed, but it was a class where I had to do things outside of class to fully understand the material because there was so much content. It moves fast but is enjoyable!

Dr. Derrickson is caring about his students and he does his best to make sure that you are understanding the topics that he is teaching. He is good at explaining the tough content, but this class is a lot of content meaning so you must study. But he is great at setting you up for success and one can tell how he loves teaching the content.

I recommend highly this professor. The lecture is easy bc he made his notes for the most important information! Exams are Straight questions from the notes! He recorded his explanations which make you feel like you are in the class! Exam are easy if you read at least 2 times the notes and videos! I got A! Quizlet wont help you!READ NOTES 2h/chapt

Professor Derrickson was an amazing professor, I loved his class. He really cares about his students and is always there to help you! There arent many assignments and are only 6 tests so make sure you do well on them! There are quizzes every week but they are relatively easy.

Took him fall of 2021, He wrote the book needed for the class, so he makes you buy it to go over pictures and clinical studies. 6 Exams throughout the semster, gives you all the information to pass just need to study. Question set every week about 7 questions. You just need to read the notes and listen to lecture and you will pass. Great professor!

Every week Dr. Derrickson has you come in for lecture one day and lab the other day. Every week there is a question set through WileyPlus (you need to buy the subscription) that is fairly easy. Every two weeks or so there is an exam that comes straight from the notes. Tests were on canvas this semester and no honorlock. He is super knowledgeable!

Professor Derrickson is a great teacher and I am glad I took him as a teacher. Now I will say you must study for the test because that's all the grade criteria is. 7 tests, 2 discussion pots and small modules worth 70 points in total. Print out the chapters and highlight. But listen and show up to class and you'll be good!

There are 6 exams (50 questions & minutes), 2 discussion posts, and online questions from WileyPlus that are on Quizlet. About 2 chapters per exam. You must study from the notes that Dr. Derrickson provides/ watch the optional lecture videos. Exams are more physiology heavy, as that is his area of interest. Very organized and straightforward.

I wish all professors were like Dr. Derrickson. He's easy to understand & clearly explains difficult topics (with images to illustrate). Labs, due most weeks, reinforce concepts. Tests are straightforward and based primarily on lecture notes. You get 50 minutes to answer 50 questions, but if you study the lecture notes, you'll very easily do well.

Professor Derrickson is a fantastic instructor. I was nervous to take this course, but Dr. Derrickson made this course the best that it could be. He is incredibly kind and down to earth, and we laughed all throughout the semester. Your grade will heavily rely on your exam grades, but he has lecture videos posted online as well as very clear notes.

Drove an hour just to attend his class. His rating is 5/5 for a reason because he's an amazing professor. I learned so much from his class. His lectures and notes are lucid and straightforward. He teaches more physiology than anatomy. Lab is in person, but it's online. No annoying midterms or finals. Exams are not tricky, but you do have to study.

This was probably one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. There are 5 multiple question quizzes every single week and answers can be found in the pdfs! There are only 2 discussion boards and five exams with 50 multiple questions.

Fairly easy class. You have to study the lecture notes. Quizlet will not help. 6 exams pretty much make up your grade (50Q & 50min). 2 super easy discussions and question sets (roughly 5 questions) due weekly. I recommend taking him due to the easy work load. He is also super nice. Class was taken online

Great professor and even a greater class! Super interesting lectures, but don't get wrong YOU WILL HAVE TO STUDY! The exams are based off the Lecture Notes but they are not that hard (if you know the material) They are 6 in total of 50Q each. He's more into Physiology than Anatomy, you will love him.

MAKE SURE to do work by the date it's due. You get only get one day to take the test, so do not miss it. The class is extremely interesting and I learned a lot. Super easy assignments, just small quizzes and some discussions here and there. Take the class even if you're skeptical about the class "Biology of Human Sexuality", trust me, take it.

5 questions once a week, maybe a discussion every few weeks. 5 exams total, they carry most of your grade. The question sets for homework are all easily found in the notes. This class was very easy and straight to the point :).

By far one of my favorite professors I've ever had. He has such a great way of explaining things, and he actually takes the time to re-word and use different examples to help you understand better. Definitely lecture heavy, and if you don't study, you will fail. Not super homework heavy; grade comes mostly from exams. 10/10 phenomenal professor

The class was mostly based on exam grades, no extra credit is given but there are question sets every week. The exams were STRAIGHT-FORWARD, everything came out of the study guide and the disorders out of the textbook so its easy to get high grades as long as you study. Really enjoyed the lectures despite having him during the evenings. :)

Dr. Derrickson has a clear course. Question set quiz each week with 5-10 Q's that can be found in the lectures. 5 exams (pretty much like the question sets), 3 simple discussion posts. The textbook is technically required for the course but I didn't buy it and it was never used in the class so save your money. Take this professor for an easy A.

Very straight-forward and easy course. One question set with 5-10 questions per week. Once in awhile there is a discussion. This class is very test heavy (5 exams), but if you study the lecture notes he provides you will be able to get an A easily. Take his class, you won't regret it.

His class is pretty easy. He is really understanding to situations. He gave us all an A on Election Day to have time to go vote when we had an exam. He doesn't use honor lock so normally u take it in class. Sometimes he allows notes. He said in the beginning attendance was mandatory but only took it for 3 classes. He is also really funny and chill.

The class is very easy, materials and resources are posted in advanced if you ever decide to go ahead. Perfect for students who are pursuing medicine, nursing, radiology, etc. I would take Professor Derrickson again and again, knowing I will learn a lot and do the best I can during my nursing journey.

Anatomy II is based off a lot of reading but if you put in the effort to study the notes you will pass his class. Only 5 exams and 4 discussions post are what your final grade will consist of. No extra credit is given, and no need to buy the textbook all notes will be provided with pictures/videos If you can take professor D I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Bryan is an amazing professor. I finally understand processes and physiology behind many of the anatomy concepts t- especially in the urinary, circulatory, metabolism, and digestive systems. His textbook is clean and understandable. His models and figures are the best I've seen in any textbook and get to the root of the organ, structure or system.

Dr. Bryan Derrickson has been at Valencia college for decades he knows all that heavy assignment agenda isn't needed to teach or pass a course. Summer course there was 6 exams & 4 discussion boards, that's it. Exams were complex & timed 50 questions in 50 minutes Lectures were amazingly dissected with clear pronunciation. He did not use honorlock.

I loved this class, definitely self-paced with the material, so if you're good at timing your reading then you'll find this class pretty manageable. There isn't a lot of homework so you have to make sure you do well on tests and discussion posts, but he provides plenty of material to help and enough time to study everything. Tests not proctored.

Not hard class at all. About ten assignments the entire semester and he gives out a lot of good material to study. Take him if you can!

I took Professor Bryan Derrickson for AP2 in Fall 2025 and highly recommend him! He's passionate about teaching and brings the material to life, making class enjoyable and engaging. Stay on top of your work, participate, and you'll do great TAKE HIM, you won't regret it!

I took Dr. Derrickson for A&P 2, and he was an outstanding teacher. He truly cares about the subject he teaches, delivers clear lectures, and is very open to questions, taking the time to thoroughly explain concepts when needed. He's funny and makes the class more enjoyable. There's no homework, only three discussion posts and chapter tests.
