Seriously The Best Class EVER. Funny prof, easygoing class, SUPER EASY tests. Marks essays very hard tho. BUT if you are planning towards a carrer in Soc, i recommend taking another teacher since you do not learn much, it's more of a class for fun.

Easy prof, really interesting. The stuff that would be on the test was spelled out in class beforehand. Not the best class to take if you are planning a future in sociology though.

OK, but some questionable conduct in regards to marking. Needs to be more honoring of total subject matter. Material presented in informative and interesting way. Engaging. Could be more professional.

He's probably one of the most humble and down to earth profs you could ever have. He asks that you call him Bryan instead of professor or Mr, because he says titles are for people with insecurities! Awesome prof.

Bryan is a GREAT guy, super nice and makes the class really interesting. The tests were good and it was my favorite class!!!

He is a very good prof. On the easy side but can trick you sometimes with harder marking than you might expect. Very down to earth, which is a nice change!

An excellent prof... you will never fall asleep in his class. Don't even need the text cus he teaches everything so well. Very funny but still professional. I learned a lot in his class and had a good time doing it. Not often you can say that.

Sometimes you think you're going to get an good mark because the class is so easy, and then the curve hits you in the face. Bryan's class was informative, but taught at a grade 8 level.

Good prof. Test are very simple (he doesn't agree with the whole exam process). He's funny and makes class not seem like it lasts forever. His T.A. will get you on assignments though; harsh marker.

This guy belittles the university. He's a good prof, but way too super easy to be a Professor. I hardly even learned anything and still got a really high mark. I wish all my classes were like his.

This was an extremely easy class, but interesting too. Text not needed, but still good to have if you plan on going further with SOC. He's a cool guy, had an end of class get together for us...I wont say any more about tha.

Easy class. Interesting but some things he teaches are borderline. Way too much emphasis on deviance (sexual especially). TA marked some answers wrong on exam that were right. Got the marks from him though. Easy but you won't really learn anything.

I thought in order to be a prof you actually have to know something, but taking his class I realized that all you need is just lack of common sense. Waste of money class and sometimes he tried to imitated Bob's style for that 70's show, what a prof!

Very nice prof and an excellent person. He is extremly helpful with the papers/presentations. He is very clear, and organized. Just go to the class, and then the material would be so easy that you wouldn't need to go through it for the exams. The class is extremly easy. the only negative thing i found was that he is not willing to give high 90s.

Great class, but don't buy the text! Bryan made the class fun and interesting, but really you rately need to attend in order to do well. Marks extremely easy and tests are kind or a joke. Great way to get an awesome mark in your first year, but won't learn much to use in future Soc classes.

Professor Puk brings great guest speakers to his class, especially Rick Langlais. The group discussions are pretty fun, and most would agree that he is one of the best teachers in the entire university!

What a romantic! He brought his first ever girldfriend for SHOW & TELL to class. They haven't seen each other for the past 25 years and now it looks like they're back together again. She's absolutely gorgeous. What an incredible romance story.

Super easy content, which is delivered by a great instructor. For those of you who don't think that this is the best class ever, I will say this to you. Give your head a shake!!! The only real amount of work comes when you have to write a 5 page essay.

He is a good teacher and very easy. You always know what he expects from you. Interesting topics as well.

Easiest and most interesting class I took in my entire degree. Great choice if you're looking to fill a 100 level arts elective. I can't believe how little work I had to do. It was a 6 credit class and I've done 5 times as much work for a 3 credit class.

He was a really clear teacher. His papers and exams were marked fairly. He often lets the class out 15-20 minutes early if you have a class right after this is a great perk.

Puk is the man, if you have a hard first or second year take this class easy on the mind and generous with the marks..

Brian is a great prof! Very approachable, the material is very easy and straight forward. He makes the class very interesting. His assignments are a lot of fun, and note taking in the class is ridiculously easy, he wrote everything on the board! I definately recommend taking a class from him!

class was so easy but also interesting. concepts were very easy to understand and the tests were practically a joke. but for some reason this class was hard to get a good mark in. very very very hard essay marker.

Puk was OK. His tests were stupid; the midterm only had 15 short answer Q's, and the final was similar. His lectures are funny and easygoing, yet you cant think that the tests will be the same. I went to every class, worked hard on the paper, and studied hard for the final and still only hot a C. Still, I'ld recommend him to anyone.

Bryan rocks! His class was interesting and fun, it's a little kindergarten (ie he writes his notes on the board super slowly), but I got an 83% and I missed 50% of the classes. TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT AN EASY GRADE!

Bryan is a great prof. Everything is straight forward and I find that his style of marking is fair as long as you study and prepare decently enough. I will definitely take another class from him... He's been my best prof so far in 3 years of university.

Bryan is an amazing prof, he keeps things light and interesting. No tricks on exams, if you study you are going to well. Not so generous with essay marks. I have taken every possible class I can take with Bryan and I am sad that I cannot take anymore with him!

Very easy to understand! Kept the class interesting. He has a great sense of humour. Tests are directly from in-class notes. Reading the required text is NOT required! =D On the downside, Bryan is a VERY HARD essay marker, he has extremely high expectations. Also, his notes in class are presented in a very slow (at times tedious) manner.

His assignments are really easy but the papers and exams are really hard. Best advice is take notes on everything he says

Awesome prof!!! His exams are directly from the notes he has given. His finals are from the midterm on which makes studying much easier. He is a bit tough on papers but I have had much harder markers before. If you don't go to class make sure you get his notes thats all. I have been in 2 of his classes and never opened the text once.

Definitely an awesome prof., he seems more real and approachable than many others. It's easy to do good in his classes if you read your notes basically.

Funny guy. I like how he welcomes you to class every time and says "Good to see you. Welcome back!" Immediately after that, he'll ask you if you have anything for show and tell. Occasionally, he would force you to tell the class about your weekend.

Extremely easy and fun class. His exams are straight out of the notes so make sure to write things down.

Midterms and final are stupid, really easy so he marks down for the smallest things ever,does not tell u what he expects;uses papers a vihecle to bring the marks down, he may not even read them, cuz most ppl get the same mark(me and 6 of my fr had the same mark)A good class to do NOTHING(no h/w) in, but if u r looking for 80 and up good luck.

Easy class work. Exams and papers are alright. Buying the textbook should not be necessary as it is never mention / used in class or in the notes.

Puk is an awesome prof, he always made class interesting and he LOVES to try and include the class, whether or not they want to be included is another question.

Puk is AMAZING, he tries his best to get the class involved in his lectures and pulls as many current real world examples in as possible. You could do a Community Service Learning approach to his class which gets you out at a organization and seeing what your learning in person. AMAZING class, easy credits!

My best prof yet in 3 years. I was actually sad when the class ended. I looked forward to his class every week. He is hilarious! Not your typical dry prof. Very fair and just wants you to do well. Don't buy the text, know your notes word for word for the midterm(usually around 5-6 pages of notes) and know the main concepts for the final(non comp)

Great professor! Encourages interaction with student and at the same time gives spaces if no one wishes to answer. No use of the book but you need to go to class as his exams are word by word from the notes. Uses videos and paper material which is a great to visualize the material.

Great class and great teacher! There are only 4 units, and for each you just fill out these straight forward blue sheets. There is also a paper, but you just pick an argument from your text and summarize. Final is also super straight forward. GREAT 300 level

It is a privilege to be in Bryan's classes. He is interesting, informed, humble and offers some very unique--and, dare I say, accurate--perspectives on today's social issues. I highly recommend taking at least one class from him.

2 multiple choice midterms and a multiple choice final. Pretty easy. Go to class and don't buy the text.

I would definitely take a class from him in the future, he made the topic so interesting! No papers, his tests are fairly easy multiple choice however he uses a lot of examples that are from class (so if you should up you'll do great).

Highly recommend this class. He is so easy to learn from. Makes the class very enjoyable and is hilarious to listen to.

Sociology with Bryan was a breeze. One midterm and one final worth 50% each sounds intimidating but it isn't at all. Midterm exam consisted of 10 pages of in class notes and 2 chapters out of the textbook. Final exam was not comprehensive and consisted of everything after the midterm which was 20 pages of notes and 1.5 chapters out of the textbook.

Professor is very helpful to students in regards to class work and assignments. Very strict grader which helps students focus more on their mistakes and overcome those.

Interesting but basically all you have to do to pass is show up and even that's optional. There was three tests given all year including the final and it was roughly 70 questions total in all three tests combined. And he wears kitten sweaters which is chill.

Bryan is such a nice guy, this class was nice and easy, i would recommend it to any one looking for some humanities credits. How ever dont skip class because he asked questions on the exams that are only from his lectures.

Bryan is a great teacher that uses an interactive approach to teach his students. His classes were kept interesting and his tests were exceptionally easy. You must show up to class, because he does not post his notes on blackboard. Notes are very brief and classes are based more on the mini (not graded) activities in class. 10/10 prof

Brian's class was my favourite by far. Very easy, but he really facilitates your learning. Very good guest speaker as well. Brian's the best.

Bryan's class is very easy. He doesn't change the midterms from first to second semester, so I recommend taking it second semester and find someone who has a copy of the midterm from the first semester. Easiest 90 you will ever get. I didn't go to class at all the second half of the term and got an easy credit. Highly recommended for an easy credit

Bryan is super good! He is slow when writing notes which is nice because your able to pay attention more. He always does show and tell and asks you to show and tell. Tests are generally easy if you know your stuff. And he always cuts class short. One essay that was pretty simple. Would take again for sure!

The professor not only speaks from his mind but also from his heart. He inspires the students to be the best that they can be and I have greatly enjoyed attending the classes. Two thumbs up!

It was an awesome class and he was an awesome prof. I love how he writes his notes on the board and not through a powerpoint! So much better and easy to follow. Participate lots as he give you lots of chances to speak so do it. Pretty much my best summer class.

Bryan Puk is by far the most chill prof I've come across. He focuses on discussions rather than giving you the info. notes are minimal and exams are fair. i would 100% recommend this prof if youre looking for a class to enjoy going to.
