This teacher is one of the best teachers ive taken a class with. Very funny and helpful. Laughs and makes jokes the whole time. If you do all your assignments and talk to him about your grades, you can get an easy A. Heres some advice: Don't wait till the last day to do your assignment. Go to tutors

Sometimes you take a class and wonder if you will ever use what you learn in it. This has been the most helpful class I have taken.

At first when I took his class, it was very cool and fun. He made alot of jokes and it made everyone laugh. But I got a C at the end even though he gave me high A's and B's on most of my assignments. It turns out he gives C's for no apparent reason to most people and says something like: "your grade affects the quality of your work". ****!

He is wanderfull prof!!! You'll luff in his classes but also you'll learn a lot of good stuff! Strongly reccomend him!!!

I usually don't like English, but this class was great!

He is a laugh a minute! And you can learn a whole lot about a wide variety of subjects.

Excellent professor! Take any class that he teaches. Makes class interesting.

Prof. Davis is really helpful, especially during the final exam week. His facial massage really helped on easing my tension. We planned to watch the Brokeback mountian together. He also shows his creative side by designing hairdos for his students.

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR! CLASS IS FULL OF FUN , nonstop jokes & LEARNING. HE IS VERY UNDERSTANDING PROFESSOR, ATTENDANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT AND DEADLINES FOR ASSIGNMENT ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. He spends extra time with his students, and he makes all the assignments so easy that you have to be really dumb to fail his class! I got a B+.

I do not enjoy english, but davis is a very good professor. Makes the class very interesting, brings props to class! He does make you work for your grade so be prepared when you get a lower grade on your first assignment than what you may have expected.

He is very funny in class.But you will get good grade if you are a pretty girl.

Took this class online. Prof. Davis makes technical writing interesting ... which is tough to do. Enjoyed the class. It's obvious he cares - he spends a lot of time editing your work. Tough grader, I worked my tail off and barely earned an A. Make sure you correct items he marks in future work ... this matters to him. Great teacher ...

Best class I've had in college.

Awesome professor! Guides you through all three projects with ease. Uses textbook only for project examples and does not assign bookwork. Very funny and personable. Mentions jails a lot. Does a great job in simplifying topics with analogies. Overall awesomeness!!!!

Professor Davis is so much of fun. I'm currently taking his class and with A grade. He makes everything easy for his student but you have to do your part. he gives a lot of work as in A LOT and he really reads your work sentence by sentence and correct your work if u made a mistake. Prof. Davis helped me at writing center many times this semester (Fall'09). I will take his EN 109 next semester, he works with his students. If you need help asked for it and he will give it to you. but you actually have to do the work. Very nice with kids too.

Very funny and makes class enjoyable. Before taking him, I read good reviews for this class. I do not know about the online version of this class. He was very helpful and the assignments wasn't very difficult. I recommended him if you need to take EN 109.

I have never seen such an enthusiastic ENGLISH teacher. I'm using what I learned from this class in my daily life. MC should be proud of this Prof. Communication is very important. Do your home work on time if not be prepared to explain. Follow instruction and apply it. I would definitely recommend you to take this Prof. Best Prof.

I took the ONLINE Proofreading and Editing class this fall. This professor's handouts were really FUNNY to read. We had assignments due every week, mostly based on chapters from the textbook. The work load was fair. He was very clear on what we were expected to do. He always responded within a day or two. He seemed to be a really nice guy.

Great teacher and great sense of humor. He was very helpful and responded to emails quickly. Fair grader. Wish I had taken his class at the college instead of online. Gave a lot of helpful tips on how to write a resume.

I personally like to write but struggled with this class. The resume help at the end of the semester was the best thing I left the class with. (Resumes are the most important document you will ever write)

Prof. Davis is awesome! He's so nice and respectful. He is very fair and helps you out a lot in writing your papers. However, he is a tough grader so you do have to work hard. Don't just slack off thinking that because he's nice, he'll pass you. Best english teacher I've ever had though!!

Prof. Davis is a good guy, who teaches his class well. His lectures are actually fun and you end up taking more out of them than you'd expect. However, when it comes to Assigned papers it's a different story. His grading is horrendous, and he does not make it clear what you did wrong.

Professor Davis was the best professor I have ever had. He is there for you in any way you need him to be. He is the funniest person too! Most of the time he is laughing at his own jokes. One of the best qualities about Professor Davis is that he is determined to make you succeed. I have learned about so much more than just English in his class.

I recommend taking Professor Davis' ENG103 online class! He provides entertaining weekly notes and helpful handouts to complete assignments. He wants papers to be clear and simple. Definitely learned a lot from his class and will use his guidelines as reference for future papers.

I dont know why the other comments are so bad. Davis has to be one of the most straight-forward teachers. He gives students a clear blueprint of exactly what to write in the papers he assigns, and as long as you follow it, youll get an A. His lectures were so fun, and time passed so quick! Yes hes picky, but if you follow his advice youll pass!

Professor Davis sets you up for success! He tried hard to make class fun and I was never once bored. Easily the best professor I have had at MC. He always sets you up for writing your papers so you never end up doing all of it at once. He assigns a section/paragraph a class with a very clear and straight forward outline. I would 100% recommend.

Professor Davis was a great Professor. This class was online/accelerated, so you read the announcements and documents and then write discussion posts and essays each week. It takes work, but it is doable. (If you're reading this Professor, sorry for using dead wood;) I recommend taking this class.

English 103 was the first course I took at MC. This teacher, as cliché as it sounds, inspired me to want to go to school full time again! Prof. Davis was easily the best professor I've had at Montgomery College! I 10/10 recommend taking this course. Bonus - you learn how to write a great resume. My resume helped me gain three scholarships!

One of the best teachers I have ever had

Absolutely amazing guy to be around, his energy while teaching is great. However he isnt the clearest about his grading criteria and can be very nit picky about details. I would make sure to pay attention to the exact sentence structure, grammar, etc, he likes so you can get a good grade

Professor Davis is the best English professor I have ever had and would 100% take a class from him again! He is very clear on how he wants us to write our papers and even lets us use his own writing examples in our papers. This is probably the only useful English class I have ever taken.

Prof. Davis is an awesome guy and a great professor. The outlines he provided could easily be followed, and the class was fun. I took English 103, and being my first English class in college, I thoroughly enjoyed his class.

His lectures are great. And he will walk you through step-by-step how to complete any assignment. The course was very easy.

He played BEYONCE to teach us essential information on resumes should go to the left, to the left Do you need any more reasons to take this class? He previewed papers if you went to office hours and taught us how to juggle. His course was AMAZING; he's so funny!!

Professor Davis is extremely kind. He will help you through your papers, the papers are what gets you an A. He helped me on most of my papers, he is very kind and patient, and also easy to talk to ! The class is hard but with his help you'll do find. He's an amazing teacher, I took his class distance learning, accelerated and got an A, You can too!

Had to do weekly discussion posts and a weekly essay, all which culminate into one big essay at the end of the semester. Very nice guy, he grades quickly and provides very good feedback. As long as you actually changed your weekly essay according to his feedback you can get an A. He emails back quickly too. You should have some writing experience

I took Prof. Davis' 10 week asynchronous summer class. The workload was relatively heavy, but Professor Davis was a quick grader and gave great feedback. You have to put in work, but as long as you follow essay guidelines and feedback, you will be fine.

He is a really great guy and a good proffesor. He gives really great feedback on assignments and is super flexible and understanding if you miss class or an assignment. His class is not hard at all. It sometimes is a little difficult to get his point across but he will re explain it to you as many times as you need to understand. Very patient.
