great teacher... very interesting.. tells you whats on his mind and easy to get along with

Fun! He assigns papers that are actually interesting. His assignments are relevent and up to date. He is also a cool person in general. Campbell is the type of teacher that isn't going to chew you out for being a few minutes late to class. I give him an A+ =)

I've had a completely different experience in online classes with Campbell. It does take him quite a while to respond in terms of grades, but he always emails back promptly, and he even gives out his home phone number so students can contact him any time. He's the best online teacher I've had (even though the work load is pretty heavy!)

VERY good teacher. Took the online course for Critical Thinking. Assigns fun papers that are easy to do; interacts with you online more than any other teacher I have seen. Explains the classes very well; guides you through the papers if necessary. Flexible, fair grader. One of the top 3 teachers I've had through 40+ classes.

He is just a great teacher. I would recommend him to any one and i have had people add into his class so if u need to take 104 take it with him. He also teaches Eng. 50, and Eng. 101.

He keeps it real. He makes you write a lot but he grades easier than my high school teacher did.

Good teacher. Very open minded and doesn't give dull lectures at all. Most are informative and he always talks with energy and interest towards what he's teaching instead of simply rambling about something. Made english, my worst subject, a lot more tolerable and interesting.

This professor is one of the coolest at VVC. His class was pretty hard, but if you genuinely try on the assignments you will get a fair grade. He made taking an English class in six weeks a breeze. The website was very organized and he responds quickly to your questions. I totally recommend him.

Took his online class so I'm not sure how he is in person! English isn't a good subject for me but he doesn't grade hard, I was worried I'd barely get a C in the class but ended up getting a B! So he's definitely a nice guy, who wont tear you apart!

Great teacher! He is very clear in his explanations and he makes class interesting. He likes to have class discussions so be prepared to speak up and voice your opinion! You will have to write a fair amount of papers, but he is very helpful and it doesn't seem that bad. Class was so good I took his Eng 104 as well.

Great professor! Dr. Campbell is always willing to help students with their essays. He doesn't give traditional lectures; rather, he moderates discussions among students. He grades fairly and is willing to give extensions on essays. The grade consisted of 4 essays, homework, and a research paper. One of the best English professors at VVC.

This is the best prof I've ever had! There's a lot of papers to write, but hey, it's an English class! He'll take you through the process step by step and he makes it very easy to understand. Also, he likes classroom discussions and will say just about anything to get classroom interaction.

This is by far the best professor Victor Valley College has ever had the fortune of hiring. The course work is rigorous, but one will learn more in his class than the one's entire time spent at VVC.

Great professor! His classes are interesting, and he's definitely nice to look at (he grows on you -- I think it's his smile ;) His classes are informal, but he pushes his students. If he talks too fast, just ask him a question! He's more than willing to answer anything. The most helpful professor I've ever had (three years in college).

Professor Campbell is the best English teacher I have ever had. His class is challenging, but he makes it interesting. He also has an amazing and sarcastic sense of humor, so don't be afraid to mess with him. I highly recommend this teacher to everyone at VVC.

My favorite teacher EVER. He's very informative and interesting, and I always look forward to his class. It's easy to do well as long as you do the work and actually try. He'll probably deny it if you ask him (he's also very sarcastic), but he clearly cares about his students. Great teacher and great guy. I definitely reccomend.

If you are looking for an easy grade just to satisfy your general ed. requirement then avoid this English "badger" like the plague. On the other hand,if you are a serious student pursuing a degree for which writing a good research paper is key to your success, then you won't find a better teacher than this. I highly recommend him.

Campbell is the best, plain and simple. His 104 is challenging and interactive and I learned SO much. He'll help you without making you feel stupid. He really grows on you... He's just so chill, and funny and intelligent. Just be careful, it's easy to start crushing on him ;)

The previous student complained about three weeks to respond to assignments? Campbell allowed three weeks to COMPLETE those assignments, and with 200 students each term (he's extremely popular), it's pretty amazing that he ONLY TAKES three weeks to respond to online classes. He's the best.

Awesome, awesome professor. For the honors class, he has great ideas and interaction with the class that helped (I think) all of us do what we needed to excel in critical thinking. Though, it was a lot of work, but never boring. Wrote some of my best papers in this class.

Prof Campbell is an awesome teacher. He answered my questions within 24 hrs usually and was compassionate and understanding. I went through a personal rough patch and he accomodated me with regards to late work. Couldn't ask for a better teacher! Love this Professor!!!!

Dr. Campbell is the best! He is always available to help with a class assignment and as a mentor! He is fair and just in his grading and will assist you in any way he can even with personal things. Definitely take this class if you have an interest in English itself and writing. Dr. Campbell challenges his students to use arguments in papers and break things down from reading in the book. Do the readings, extra credit,class assignments, and most of all the assigned essays. Furthermore, he does curse a lot for those who have sensitive ears.

I loved Bryces class hes helpfull and crystal clear take him for english 50 there is the my writing lab that you will have to by online its 35 dollars if you dont have the money for it dont take the class cause thats half the points

Absolutely the best English teacher! He is very clear, helpful and nice. Does go the extra mile to help you. Will review your papers before submission if you take them to his office. He actually cares about what the students learn and helps them get where they should be. Class was fun and not super hard. Took for English 50 and for English 101.

No one likes a boring lecture and with Bryce, one would actually wish for the class to be longer. Although the work is not simple, I definitely recommend him to anyone.

A lot of essays but who doesn't expect to write essays in an English class . I loved this class because even though we had essays to write we had interesting topics to write about and it wasn't mandatory to write 6+ pages. His class is great ! I enjoyed it . Easy class . If its your first year at vvc i recommend him.

Favorite teacher here! He has interesting topics that he teaches, and assigns essays on. No boring papers on mariguana legalization, I very much enjoyed writing his essays. His papers made you think, but weren't tedious. Very engaging teacher, hold your interest. Not easy to fail his class if you actually try! Plus he's a total babe for an old guy.

Bryce is hands down the best English Professor on this campus. No matter where your writing level is he accommodates and inspires his students to push harder. Took him for 101 and 104, the latter I didn't even need, I just really wanted to take him a second time. I didn't regret it at all. I'm a far stronger writer because of him. If you put effort into this class it won't be a waste of time for you. He has very thought provoking lectures that exercise your opinions of the world around you.

Best Teacher in VVC!! I've taken ENGL 50 and ENGL 101 with him and will be definitely taking ENGL 104 next semester. Very Funny, Smart, and Helpful. Fair grader. Everyone in his class has a good time learning :)

Dr. Campbell is without a doubt the best professor I have ever had. He doesn't just make you memorize stuff to pass tests; he really makes you develop your critical thinking skills. Besides which he is incredibly funny. 10/10 would recommend.

Makes the class interesting

Bryce is by far the best English Professor. The class has about 1 1/2 weeks left but it's been very helpful. He makes you actually learn rather than rely on memory. During his lectures, he really makes you think of the world differently. As long as you stay on top of work & know what you're doing, you'll come out a better writer with a good grade!

Dr. Campbell is a hilarious, straight forward teacher. He is very specific in what he asks for and makes you earn your grade. As long as you understand his criteria and abide by it then there is no reason you shouldn't get an A.

I took Prof. Campbell in the Summer of 17. He is clear on what he wants from his students, and he does not ask for much. Ultimately, he just wants you to succeed. If you have any troubles he will gladly help you out after class. If you feel scared because you are not an "English person," then take him because it will make you a stronger writer.

Dr. Campbell made English 45 absolutely enjoyable! With only a handful of essays, a few quizzes, and several days of helpful, knowledgeable lectures, this class is definitely manageable! I can not stress enough how great of a professor he is, and how much I would love to take him for every single English class.

Bryce is incredibly funny and very understanding. As a preschool assistant I have to go to a lot of trainings and PBIS meetings which means I have to leave an hour early or skip a whole day. He's hilarious and straightforward so make sure you're thick-skinned. We do a lot on MLA citation and a lot of peer critiques. He's extremely smart and kind.

Dr. Campbell is definitely a wonderful professor to choose for English. He is extremely knowledgeable of the subject, has burning passion to educate college students, and has a great amount of consideration. As long as you show up to each class, do his assignments to the T, and pay attention, you'll pass easily! Will take him again for Eng104.

Best teacher I've had so far. He's hilarious and gives very energetic, informative lectures. He always gives helpful feedback when you need it. Campbell definitely made me a better writer today and he will always be one of my favorite teachers.

Campbell has been the professor I chose for English 101 and stick with through Honors 102 & 104. I have seen my writing greatly improve after having him for 3 semesters, and I recommend him to students who want to cooperate with a professor that will challenge them to grow as writers and thinkers.

Bryce is a wonderful professor who will push you to improve your writing skills. His class is on the difficult side, and I have to admit I struggled. Luckily he compensates for that by his humor and by being very caring and helpful to his students. He's also very approachable and will give good advice. You will become a better writer thanks to him.

Hes great, no final, no midterm, a quiz every 2-3 weeks on the novel. He can be a hard grader but if you fix your mistakes, then youll be fine. The texts and contexts novel is very hard to understand and follow, so quizzes are hard. Essays and participation pts. help make up for lower quiz grades.

I took him for Eng. 102 & 104. He enjoys creativity with essays. He does a couple of peer reviews, I took 104 in six weeks and there were only 3 essays, there is no midterm or final. He has a final paper 8-12 pgs. His lectures are hilarious with the right classmates. He talks very fast but students become acclimated quickly. Take him if possible.

I took Dr. Campbell in the summer for 6 weeks and had to write 3 essays. He made English super fun and was extremely helpful with my essays. The class participation was also very helpful with the essays. I would take Dr. Campbell again definitely.

Campbell is an AMAZING professor. I didn't pass the class because I wasn't able to show up to school, but if you attend class everyday you can definitely pass. He is a tough grader, so work hard. He is hilarious and has a great personality, which in my opinion makes him charming. Also his smile is so cute, I could watch him lecture all day :)

Love Dr. Campbell! One of the best professors at VVC. This isn't your usual English class because it is discussion-based. There are 3 essays in this class (I think). He prefers quality over quantity (no hard page minimum). Participate in the discussions during class because most are great and fulfilling. Take him for everything if you can!

Dr. Campbell is an amazing professor I truly learned a lot in his class over the summer. There was in total 3 essays and a few reading assignments. It was a little more challenging to write the essays because it was over the summer so we had less time but Dr. Campbell is very understanding and helped us a lot.

Doctor Campbell was probably the only professor who kept me from dropping out of this fall semester. He was attentive with all students concerns and replies fairly quickly. There are weekly discussions, 3 essays and no quizzes. His instructions were always clear and if you had questions he would gladly answer them. Great professor.

Definitely not a tough grader if you know what you're doing and come to class. He's always willing to answer questions and give constructive feedback.

Professor is very understanding and communication matters, he does expect us to do everything needed to be done. Very good at explaining and helpful, many ways he helps us improve for assignments and wants us to pass not fail. Goal overall is we understand the material and are happy with grade we receive. As in put in hard work. :)

I took Professor Campbell's English 101 course in Fall 2021. I really enjoyed going to his class. He taught us a variety of things and had fun games that we played relating to the content. His final is writing a research paper on a theme of our choice based on a book we read in class at the beginning of the semester. I recommend taking his class.

I loved his class he is very helpful and kind and caring the only thing I will say is don't procrastinate and you will do fine. Also, REMEBER TO PROOFREAD EVERYTING.

Professor Campbell is a very passionate and funny teacher. He makes every class interesting and really makes you think about important topics. Most of the class is reading a book and having discussions together with the class about it. Loved his class!

One of my favorites. He is extremely patient and understanding with every single student. He's a definite joy to talk to about course material or other random topics. You will definitely need to do your readings, and this advice goes to all of his other classes. Just put in the effort-- if he sees it, you'll do well.

The class was pretty easy with a light work load for an accelerated class. Its best to participate, and it helps you feel more comfotable in class.

Very understandable, although requires a lot of studying, also requires group presentation, listening to his lectures is very clear. Reading the books that are required are highly recommended with helpful tips. He is such an awesome and generous instructor, very funny personality.

Took his class for Winter 2023 (Jan-Feb). The best professor!! Very helpful and he def cares about his students' wellbeing and understanding. Also cares to pronounce names right lol. Lectures were great. He is a tough grader but you can only really fail if you try. He gives a lot of tips that are helpful for the class. Also funny guy.
