it's a hard class, and so are his tests..but the guys is great..his tests are sometimes complicated and it's hard to understand what he wants from you..but overall, if you don't mind having hard tests and you want to learn a lot, take any of his classes

Highly recommended. He makes stats possible to learn and explains things very well. Tests can be tough but there are no surprises. Just study the problems he assigns in class and make sure to go to class,it makes things much easier!!

WOW! This man makes a business stats class awesome. He is the coolest teacher I have had at uni. He is so laid back. His test are hard but if you go to class he makes you understand. His study guides he makes help a ton. I would recommend him.

Take Uyar if you have to take Stats. He is awesome. He explains things really well. He wants you to understand what you are doing, and you don't have to memorize formulas for tests. Make sure you go to class though.

This is the hardest class to take and he didn't make it any easier. The tests were hard and he moved through info very fast. Take this course at a community college.

Great guy and awesome teacher. He's so excited about what he's teaching and it makes you want to pay attention. He goes over things until he's sure everyone is caught up and goes to extremes to make sure he can help outside of class. Tests are kinda hard but are all MC.

I never, EVER go this, but I am rating this prof before the 2nd week of class...WOW! He explains everything I learned in a pre-req class in 30 min, better than I heard it in 1 full semester..stays in touch by email all week, answers and emails other students questions...expects alot, but GREAT!

I think Uyar is an awesome teacher. He expects a lot, however. If you are willing to study and do the problems he assigns you'll be fine. Also, when he give you a study guide STUDY IT! Many of the questions on his tests are the same as the study guide questions. I would take another class by him.

Uyar is a terrific professor. I took a similar course at a different school, but it obvious his teaching is much better. He is very clear, he emphasizes what is important, and he guides you step by step. If you attend class & pay attention, this class is not too hard. I highly recommend Uyar.

One of the best profs I have had yet. I didn't do any of the book assignments and got by with a B+. This class is easy if you pay attention, do the excell assignments, and look over the study guides before each test.

I hate statistics and he made it alright. I was very nervous about since I had Mupasiri in Intro and did awful, he was a lot clearer. I learned a lot but the class really started to drag for the last month or so. I'd grade him a B.

He's intimidating at first, but he's a funny guy as the class goes on. He's also a tough grader, but if you pay attention during class and do the assignments you should be fine. I haven't used the book at all, only the class notes. And be sure to review the study guide before the test, because the test is just like it.

Prof Uyar is the best teacher, he is great! I hated stat before but he make sit fun! Grades pretty hard but do your homework and you will be fine!

Uyar is great! He is extremely helpful and clear. Go to class,do the assignments and be sure you do the study guides because some of the test questions are from them. I would say it is pretty easy to get an A-/B+. He is very funny too. I highly recommand taking bus. stat from him.

A very helpful teacher, likes to explain everything in great detail. Somewhat tough in that he is a very strict grader, but he does explain everything exactly how he wants it, just hope you don't accidentally overlook something. He has a sense of humor somewhere that occasionally shows, but for the most part, he's all about the subject.

He is a good teacher if you liek to study. If you follow him, you should be good. but for many students, this is somehow not a easy professor.

Great teacher! Very helpful, occassionally funny, and offers some of the best study guides you could ask for. Really easy if you complete and look over the aforementioned study guide. There's also plenty of easy quizzes and assignments to help pull your grade up by its bootstraps. Very detailed person, to be sure.

Uyar is an excellent professor, has a lot of passion for the subject. His students are very important to him, tough class though especially if you miss class a lot, do the study guides and you will do fine. Fancy Shmancy!!!!

This is not an easy class but Bulent is the greatest man on the face of the earth. he will make you laugh every day and tell you stories about how he used to smoke 37 cigars a day and how he makes his wife shovel snow off the driveway...gotta love bulent

Uyar is awesome! Explains everything very clearly and really really cares about his students. He also sends very lenghthy emails 2-3 times a week that he claims he types one finger at a time. Hilarious. He is foreign but very easy to understand. Go to class and ask questions when you don't understand something and you'll be fine!

Exceptional teacher! It is not the easiest class you will ever take, but Uyar really explains the material so that you can understand it rather than memorize it. He is very thorough- expect the tests to have many conceptional questions. Good sense of humor, approachable, and helpful. His course packet is much better than the textbook.

Very good professor! Course packet is very helpful. Many students find difficult tho for some reason. 3 tests and a cumulative final plus small quizzes, assignments, and excel assignments make up your grade. I would recommend Uyar!

Uyar is a stud! But you must pay attention to detail, especially on the assignments he gives. He teaches class the same way every time so you know what to expect. If you don't understand the material ASK. He is very helpful and wants to make sure you know the material. He sends ALOT of emails though. Thats how you know he cares

Business Stats with Uyar is difficult. Demanding course but it is still possible to do well. You must study for the tests and be prepared to work hard. He is very helpful and explains the material extremely well. I recommend him if you want to learn this material.

Very very helpful teacher, cares about his students learning. He keeps class interesting and after a big chunk of info he will stop and say take a 10 second break and talk to your neighbors which is really nice and helps the class not drag on. he tells lil cheesy jokes that are kinda fun class is hard must study to pass but excellent teacher 2 take

Uyar is an excellent teacher. He really cares about his students. The class is somewhat difficult but he explains everything well. He hands out a very long pre-test before every test which you can practice with that's not to hand in. Take Uyar if you can.

One of the better professors at uni. He is here to teach the students and truly cares about our learning. He goes through things plenty of times so it gets stuck in your head.

So here's the deal with Uyar - he is super passionate about statistics and about his students doing well. It's not an easy subject, you really have to put in the time if you want to do well. If you do, he will bend over backwards to help you. DO THE PRACTICE TESTS - to me they were more helpful than the note packet. Also, go to review sessions!

Make sure you go to class every day! The notes help out a lot. Make sure you do the practice tests, but don't worry about the problems in the book. He gives a lot of opportunities for free points like Excel assignments and basic quizes.

Uyar is the man! The public finance class is very tough, no easy A, but he is very respectful and a great professor. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should go anyway because he is the model teacher. Getting a B is attainable if you go to class every day, but to get an A you need to memorize everything....

He is very thorough on everything he teachers. You can go to him about anything and he is will to help. The class is tough, but as a teacher, he is superb!

Nice guy, tries to connect with class by learning some names and joking around. Sometimes makes information more complicated than needed. He uses a course packet, go to class and take good notes. Study notes and review packet for tests! Also, do the optional hw assignments!

Lecture: fill in the blank notes from packet - boring and monotone Hmk: excel (very easy, stepbystep instructions) assignments (few questions, very easy) Tests: do the study guide and you should be good. He takes this class very seriously, but he is a good guy. Class sucks, but it is mandatory and he does the best he can with that.

I absolutely love professor Uyar! Very friendly and funny, explains things in great detail so go to class! He makes an extra effort to help students who are having problems. He likes to know that people are paying attention and following along, so speak up in his class and he'll remember your name :)

Uyar is an excellent instructor. I had him Fall 2012. Be aware that in stats there is an exam the first weak that test how mucn stats you remember from a previous stats class. I had B and A's on test, but I admit I slacked on assignments and hurt myself getting a C+. I highly recommend doing his suggested problems at least twice a week.

Without a doubt one of the best professors I've had. He's very dedicated to making sure students understand the subject he's teaching. I took this class before with Imam Alam and had to drop it because I didn't understand what was going on, but with Prof. Uyar it's way better. Go and get to know him in his office hours, he'll gladly help you.

Uyar was one of the greatest Math professors I have had. He is great at explaining concepts and is always trying to help students understand everything. He sendsds a lot of emails with helpful information and curves the grade a little at the end.

Uyar is one of the nicest professors i have had. He will do anything he can to help you. As long as you respect him, show up to class and put a good effort into this class you will do just fine. He knows Stats and will show you how stats will be used in your life in the future.

For business statistics, Professor Uyar, gives his students a course packet with fill-in-the-blank notes. With the combination of these notes and his lectures, business statistics topics should be clear to you. For each exam, he gives a review packet with over a hundred multiple choice review questions to prepare you for the exam. These are great.

He is a nice and funny guy. He definitely makes you work for it though. I'm not a math guy by any means and I thought his class was fairly tough and I did all the homework. He is also a very picky grader. If you do the homework and keep up with going to class you should pass

Uyar breaks down each topic, which makes them easier to understand. He also gives you a study guide for each test. However, he is very tough on grading assignments so make sure you follow all of the instructions, other wise you'll get a zero.

Uyar is one of the best professors I have taken in college thus far. When I took intro to Stats I struggled, therefore I was regretting business statistics. However, professor Uyar makes the material VERY understandable. Do the packet(s) he gives you for each test and for the final review ALL of the packets!! Do the work go to class you will pass.

Picky grader. Study a decent amount for tests. Breaks each topic down well. Just follow along with the notes and you will understand it. Lots of stuff covered.

I enjoyed Uyar as a teacher because he told you exactly what would be on the test. He gives you a packet before each test and if you can do all the problems on it you will do well on the test. He is also a comical guy who laughs at his own jokes a lot haha

He definitely knows what he is talking about. His lectures are very informative. Would not recommend skipping class otherwise you'll fall behind. Other than that, the class is pretty darn easy. He gives you reviews that mirror the test. Bus Stats is just intro to stats with a little more detail. Don't be intimidated by him; he is super nice!

Dr. Uyar is an acquired taste; he can be a very friendly and helpful asset if you take the time to participate and get to know him outside of class. However, if you don't participate and slack off, this will be a class you want to avoid. If you go to all the lectures and study outside of class, you will appreciate him down the road.

BUS STATS is a very time consuming class. GET READY TO WORK FOR YOUR GRADE. I would highly recommend completing the "homework" for each of the units. Going to his lectures help you out a lot, but I cannot stress enough the importance for studying and working on the assigned problems outside of class.

Professor Uyar is an amazing teacher. He knows his stuff about Business Statistics, which is a prerequisite for business majors. In other words, you have to take this class. Regardless of who you take this class with, it is NOT easy! Deal with it. If you're a business major this should be expected. You have to work for it. Uyar is the man.

I took business states with Professor Uyar. This course is very difficult for many people no matter what. Uyar does a good job explaining everything and gives you an entire self made note packet for the course. He is very overly picky about grading which has lost me many points and seems a little extreme to me. But overall I would take it with him.

Bulent loves teaching and loves the kids in his class. Show up to class and study and you will do just fine. He is very passionate and makes the content easy to understand. Best option for business statistics.

Uyar is the best Business Statistics professor at UNI hands down. The class is easier than I expected, however, you still have to put forth effort outside of class and attend all lectures. There are free tutors that I took advantage of which helped me out.

Would definitely recommend Professor Uyar to anybody who needs to take Business Stats. He genuinely cares about his students and his students' success. He is not harsh if you ask dumb questions. He seeks to form relationships with students who participate in class. Great professor who knows his stuff and is passionate about the subject.

Professor Uyar was by far my favorite professor I had this past semester, I would highly recommend him to anyone taking Bus Stat. He is very smart and cares very much about his students learning. The homework is not graded but is worth doing. It wasn't an easy class but I enjoyed it very much.

If your class isn't answering his questions or seems disinterested he will start to get upset, and he talks a lot. Prof. Uyar has been one of my favorite professors so far. He relates the material to real life situations and makes it easy to follow. Grades are based on tests, quizzes, and homework assignments. I would definitely take another class with him.

Professor Uyar is a great guy. He cares about his students success and does his best to prepare you for the future. There is a lot of homework that is not for a grade that you have to do in order to get a good grade. Overall, best professor for the course.

Uyar takes awhile to warm up to. He is very straightforward and intimidating, but he is a great professor. DO THE STUDY GUIDES! The SG is hard, but it prepares you and makes the exam easy. Pay attention and contribute to the discussions. Don't be lazy and you will do just fine

He was my favorite professor. He cares about his students and the material. He made an effort to learn names even in our class of over 100 students. Breaks down topics to make them easier to understand. Enjoys participation and will occasionally give extra points for it. Course packet makes taking notes easy if you're not a very organized person.

He is probably one of my favorite profs at uni. He is really good at explaining topics and breaking them down. He is very good when you ask for help but won't go out of his way to help you. He loves when people participate too and will sometimes hand out extra points just for participating (or if you correct him! when he's wrong)
