She is oen of the best teachers. She gives great test reviews. she is great. She has alot of experience in the real world so she makes the class very interesting. I highly recomend. she also teaches other acct classes. Her teaching style is the same
By far the easiest teacher. She offers tons of extra credit. It is impossible to get below a B in her class.
Great teacher, makes class easy, recommended!
She was my favorite teacher, because she new how to explain things to her students.
Great teacher
Bunney is an excellent instructor. She really cares that you succeed in her class. Have taken her for two different classes and both have been very positive. She is great. I highly recommend her.
What a sweet person, someone who really cares about her students and thier learning. I would take her for anything, she is the best! What a great teacher!
Bunny Sucks!! I had her before she got pregnant. She rushes through materials and doesn't explain it enough. Bean came and taught the class after she took a leave of absense and I got an A-. It probably would have been more like a D- with bunny. Watch out, she is terrible!!
Despite the irrational comments of the only poor rating of her class, her class is excellent. Anyone who gives a teacher a hard time because she is pregnant and is no longer able to teach is not only socially challenged but just simply a bad person. Bunney is a great teacher and is very easy to work with.
Bunney is great. She explains things thoroughly in class and if you don't understand a concept she will take the time needed in class to make sure you understand. She listens to students opinions and will change the syllabus accordingly sometimes. Great teacher.
Even though the subject matter was difficult, Bunney focused on her students. The tests were hard, but the curve was extremely fair. I would definitely recommend this teacher.
This class was not as hard as I thought it would be and it was interesting and useful. Class is only held on Mon/Wed and on Fri you do some work online instead of coming to class which is nice.
It is understood that online learning is self-reliant learning. Prof. Schmidt did not explain "anything" in a comprehensible manner. She failed to enrich the learning process as a whole by providing clear explanations or examples. She added nothing to the publisher's material. And it takes an advanced degree to teach an online course as such?
She gives a great review before all the tests. Go to that and you'll do well. She doesn't have class on Fri (I believe it because she doesn't want to teach). Her lectures are pointless and unprepared. She is fair with grading in order to pick up her slack on teaching. Overall, not a very good experience.
Bunney is a great teacher. Her style is a little different then most professors though because she cares about the student. Her goal is for you to understand. Go to class do the homework, take the quizzes and Interact with the class and you will find she is more than generous with grades if your actually trying to learn something.
This is the second class I have taken from Bunney, anyone who says her lectures are unprepared and pointless wasn't listening. You just have participate in the class and do the out of class work and you will find that the homework and quizzes come easy, and the tests reviews are priceless. Bunney is there for any student who takes the time to ask.
Well I personally hate accounting but she's a decent teacher and is a laxed teacher too. You need the book and the wiley key which by the way WILEY PLUS sucks bigtime have fun with that. She's ok I guess plus its not to hard to get a good grade if you try and do your part.
I hardly ever went to class and still did well. Do the homework (BTW the answers are in the ACC lab) and use her review to prepare for the test and you should get a good grade.
Wonderful woman. Her tests were pretty easy considering she gives you a sheet with every question on it before hand. The homework was almost all in the accounting lab and the projects were fun.
She wasn't very helpful and we had to teach ourselves since the discussion didn't cover the assignments.
If you want an easy grade and dont want to learn anything, Bunny is the one for you. A serious accounting student should avoid her class because you will be very unprepared for 3020. Why is it that teachers that give easy grades but dont teach well get good reviews?
Bunny does well at real world application. I loved the class. She understands that students have a life outside of class and assigns homework as such. As from me she comes highly reccomended
Very bad instructor; hardly taught anything. I got an A because I studied the book and went to the Accounting Lab frequently. Every class she will say: "This class is just a review from your previous class". She would spend 1/4 of the class on coments unrelated to the class. She is a nice person, but an awful instructor.
She's nice and is willing to help you after class and her office is always open. The only complaint is that she will leave you in the dust if you day dream for a second. She gives you the questions for the exam beforehand. She does grade the tests on a curve unlike others. just make sure that you read ahead to get the most out of her lectures
She's great! Her class is fun. She does a good job reviewing what will be on the test. She grades on the curve. Her class is pretty easy. I would recommend her.
This class takes some effort and attendance will really help you. I loved that she is always willing to help with homework and grades her tests on a curve. Her main goal is to get you to understand and she is really flexible with late work. Overall a good class, you have to study to do well and make sure you do the homework.text book not required.
Good, helpful teacher. Her lectures are good and provide a lot of insight. She gets too political and of course everyone agrees. It's the Utah County thing to criticize Obama.
Accounting is hard in general but she made it less painful. Lots of test, but they don't cover a lot of material so they are more manageable and she uses a generous curve. Other class assignments make it easy to pull up test average. I would recommend her class to a friend.
Bunney's a nice lady, but she waste too much time in class talking about current events. I stopped going half way through the semester and started making better grades on homework, quiz's and tests. She is generous with extra credit though.
I thought Bunney was a great teacher. It was refreshing to have a professor understand student life, and be willing to work with you if you needed an execption. She made the final pretty bearable since it covered 21 chapters. Class was pretty tough. I had to study a lot.
She is on of the best teachers at UVU. I took 2030 which is financial and managerial and it was tough but she made coming to class fun and worth it. I definitely recommend her!
Bunny has been a great teacher for me. I have never rated a professor on this but will encourage anyone who has to do accounting to take it from Bunny.
Bunney is a great person to have in the classroom. She loves to teach and cares about the fact that we all have a life outside of school. She is the type of person you want in your corner-if you come to class, do the reading, and go to lab she will help you through it...but if you screw off and skip, you bring it on yourself. She is awesome!
AMAZING teacher. She cares about her students and teaches with great understanding. Is friendly and always willing to help. I would recommend her.
Good teacher, willing to work with students to help them learn the material. I would recommend her. I struggled in 2010 but her class was alot better and I learned more
Accounting isn't an easy subject but she's a very helpful professor. If you take this class from her you shouldn't have to worry about failing as long as you do the homeworks and do descent on the quizzes. I hear Professor Bean is the man and he's super easy so you might want to check into taking him first.
Great teacher. Love her teaching style and class structure. Your tests are projects that you can do at home and help in learning a lot more than a test helps. Highly recommend this teacher is you are struggling with accounting.
Extremely likeable. Knows her material, and knows how to share it well. Very dedicated teacher. A little less rigorous than Teeter, but teaches you way more than Bean. If you want to learn something and still get a decent grade (not descent), take her!
Bunney is great! Great to work with, great to learn from, and over all a grat teacher. Highley reccomend her!
Probably the easiest teacher at UVU. She will give you all that you need to get an A in her class. She will make up study guides before the test and pass them out. She is very fun and loves to teach, which makes classes interesting. You won't ever have too much homework and she is more than willing to help you out if you need it.
Bunney is one of the best professors I've had at UVU. She really cares about her students and will help everyone understand the material. She grades tests on a curve which is really nice. I ended up with a 97% in the class. The class isn't easy but she makes sure it's not hard either. Take her instead of the other ACC professors.
She teaches fast which can be difficult, but she gives you what you need to get a decent grade. She goes over a lot of the homework in class and she tells you EXACTLY what will be on the test (Example: "For question #1 you will need to know this concept. Study this homework problem." ) She's nice and super chill.
Great teacher. Goes somewhat fast, but teaches it really well. Always willing to answer questions. Goes over lots of HW problems in class. Her review sheets are very similar to the tests so just study what she puts in the review sheets and you should be fine. She'll curve the tests. Very nice lady and I would recommend taking accounting from her!
Bunney hidden secret at UVU. She is most likely the best professor in the entire Accounting department. She teaches quickly, but answers every question you have and knows what she's talking about. She's down to earth and understands our lives as students. She will help, teaches ACC clearly, and is kind. 4 tests, 1 project, & 2 HW's due each week.
Bunney is awesome. I loved this semester, she was very personable and had great lectures and helps you learn Accounting well. Exams are taken in the testing center and are difficult, but she gives a really good study guide and prepares you well. Curves the exams which saved my grade. Take this class from Bunney you won't regret it.
Dr. Schmidt was AMAZING. She made managerial accounting so easy to handle. She cares so much about each student and was always willing to help me whenever needed. She does most of the homework in class and really utilizes class time well so you never feel like it's a waste of time. If you take it from anyone else, you're making a huge mistake.
There is weekly homework and quizzes. Go to class because she will go over most of the homework problems. There are 5 tests & you can use a cue-sheet for each exam. Lowest test grade is dropped. Follow the study guide to do good on tests. It's a hard class but she's a great teacher and just study well for tests. I recommend this teacher.
Bless this sweet woman. She's very clear, gives you great notes and does the hw with you in class! The class isn't the easiest, but if you can keep up with the material you'll do fine. Honestly one of the best accounting teachers at UVU!
She is such a caring professor. She genuinely wants all her students to succeed and is happy to answer questions. Her exams were very easy with the study guide you are given and you are allowed to take a cue sheet into the exam. which means testing center which sucks, but overall she was great.
One of my favorite professors at UVU. She's the perfect balance between learning all of your information but not being too difficult. GO TO CLASS. She is very instructive and goes over lots of the homework which helps with the exams. She also offers a small cue sheet on the exam you can take. 10/10 would take more accounting classes from her.
Favorite
She is an amazing teacher! Breaks down the material simply, goes over most of the homework in-class, and allows a reference sheet during tests. She makes it easy to earn an A, as well as understand the material.
Bunney is great. Youll do most of your homework in class and you have a short weekly quiz with two attempts on it. Every 2-3 chapters you have a test but you get to take a half page cheat sheet with you for each test so its honestly not too hard if you make a good cheat sheet. One of the best teachers Ive ever had.
Bunney is awesome! She does a great job teaching at a steady pace, and will stop and answer questions/help students when they don't understand. Did a lot of the homework in class, which was helpful because we were able to see how to do the homework problems. She is very caring, willing to help out, and is very knowledgable! Take her class! :)
Bunney is an awesome professor! She takes the time to go through the material and will do the hw in class with you! At home quizzes, and tests in the testing center. Study the study guide thoroughly and you'll do alright.
Professor Schmidt is an amazing teacher! She teaches you everything you would need to know for homework and the tests. She is willing to work with you inside and outside of class. Grading is based off of quiz/tests. Most of the homework is done in class which correlates with the homework quizzes. There are study guides for tests, SUPER HELPFUL!!
Good professor who is able to help throughout. She does a review of weekly homework, but will skip over explaining questions, but that is my only complaint. The class is accounting which can be a bit difficult for some, so be prepared to learn a decent bit. If you want to scrape by not learning you can, but this class is easier when you learn.
This was a great online class! I did sooo much better in ACC2020 than 2010 because of this professor/class. It was very organized and the assignments in the ebook were easy to navigate. Highly recommend.
She is an amazing professor. I am NOT an accounting major and definitely struggled. She goes through the homework in class in major detail and doesn't move on unless she knows everyone is on board with what she is teaching. Sometimes, this played as a detriment. I relied heavily on her lectures. Only problem, no note card during tests.
Bunny makes ACC2020 straight forward. You can read the PPTs and follow along with prerecorded lectures if you can't make virtual class on time. We received extra points for each exam. Your lowest exam score is dropped. Take from Bunny if you want to learn but also not get too stressed.
Bunney is amazing. The class model is simple Homework, Mcgraw Hill SmartBook, and Quiz. do the work, get a good grade. Her Lectures are just helping you with the homework. Great Professor, 10/10
She is such a good professor! I wish she taught more accounting classes so I could take more classes from her! One SmartBook assignment, one homework assignment, and one quiz per week. She goes over the homework and sometimes the quiz in class, so if you go to class you will get your homework done! Make sure to study hard for the tests though!
She is the best online instructor ive had at UVU. she thinks from the students perspective, and is all about making sure what is taught is not only easy to understand but also valuable. She knows accounting is difficult for most, and so she takes consideration into how every student can pass, even somebody like me who is scared of algebra.
Schmitt was a great professor. Her class was in person, but attendance was optional. She provides enough resources that you can take the class online if you want. She curves her exams, and she drops your lowest score. If you read the entire chapter, you should do great in the class. I highly recommend taking it from her. Very helpful, great teacher
This is a hard class in general and accounting is not easy to learn but Bunney makes it enjoyable and understandable. She outlines what will need to be understood for the test and what will help you succeed. VERY easy to get ahold of outside of class which I think is important and she is very understanding of your situation and needs as a student!
Professor Schmidt is easily one of my favorites at UVU. ACC2010 is a lot of material and you have to learn a ton, but as long as you listen to her, go to class, and study what she tells you to study you'll be fine. She's super helpful, does homework in class with you, and is overall super nice and very easy to understand. Highly recommend!
Professor Schmidt is great! I was not happy to have to take ACC 2020 but Bunney made it better than I thought it would be. I took the class online and she has weekly videos that are super helpful with homework help at the end. She is always ready to help and is really doing her part to help students succeed! If you can take her class!!
Professor Schmidt was awesome, but the class itself sucked. It felt like way too much information being shoveled into a course that is mandatory for non-accounting majors. Professor Schmidt did a great job of helping through the homework and quizzes, but the tests were hard and super concept heavy, when the homework was more focused on calculations
This is a great professor for a semi-difficult course. The online material consisted of McGraw chapter smart book questions, chapter quiz, and chapter homework due every Sunday. There are 4 exams and 1 final, but she will drop your lowest exam score. This means if you do well on the 4 exams, you don't have to take the final. Overall, great teacher.
This class was pretty alright. Class time is awesome cause we will usually go through the homework questions and she works through them with us! Going to class is the biggest thing for this class.
You really learn a lot in this class! I found almost everything very interesting and applicable to the outside world. Made quite a few friends and loved the class.
She refused to provide reviews for the exams. Her review document was a list of topics in each chapter. She would not provide any feedback or time out of class to help tutor. UVU Accounting Dept. was no help either because for some reason the accounting majors are not made to take this class so they don't understand it. Why require it??
I would recommend taking this course with David, his lectures make more sense in my opinion. In Bunneys class you end up watching lecture that David recorded anyway so I would just take it with him. She goes way to fast when going over material in class and I never felt like I was able to learn a concept, get it down then move on. She went too fast
Homework assignment and quiz each week. you do most the homework together in class and quizzes and exams are open note. if you pay attention really easy. she also takes the notes for you
Super helpful with Homework! Helped us understand the material very clearly. Lot's of quizzes, homework and Exams. Drops lowest scores, including exams.
I would highly recommend taking this course with Professor Schmidt. She is very organized and has plenty of resources if you need extra help. She writes everything down in OneNote, which is useful if you miss class. Many of the assignments are dropped, including one exam (most students drop the final), so I was never stressed about my grade.
Professor Schmidt seemed to be just phoning it in. We used another professor's lectures and materials heavily. She does know the answers and helps with your homework. Lots of stuff is dropped so grades aren't a problem. Not to sure if I feel prepared to take the next level accounting. She's very pleasant and smiles.
This class was fairly easy but Dr Schmidt did almost nothing. She posted the textbook links, then you had to read it on your own and do the homework. There were never any video lectures. Almost everything was also automatically graded multiple choice stuff. She was very easy to get in touch with however. Easy A, but I don't know that I'd recommend.
You have 1 homework assignment and 1 quiz due per week. During the lecture, she walks through a majority of the homework. All quizzes and tests and open note. There are 3 exams plus a final, and she drops the lowest test grade so I did not even have to take the final. I 100% recommend taking her for Accounting 2110 for an easy grade.
I wish this teacher was willing to work with me on my schedule. Every time I went to ask something (even to take it early) it was always a no. What a pain
Mrs. Schmidt was one of the best professors I have ever had. She understands that not everyone taking this class is graduating in accounting. They set up the curriculum very well for this class. As long as you do all the video quizzes and show up to class you will do well.
I loved this professor, she was chill and very understanding. Not a lot of assignments and she taught the material very well. If you have to take accounting, get it with bunney.
Save yourself and take from any other accounting professor. She does not care about her students well being and shows no interest in the subject. She teaches way too fast and relies on the TA to do everything for her. Everything I learned about accounting this semester was not from her. I did the majority of my learning from the TA.
Professor Schmidt is very nice but the online course for ACC3000 needs to be revaluated. If you take this class be sure to drop all others because you simply will not have time for anything else. The class uses McGraw-Hill Connect aka. Busy work 24/7. It stifles learning because your are so concerned with completing the mountain of homework on time
Only thing she is good for is reading a power point and writing everything verbatim in one note. She does not go into detail when teaching. Take David instead.
PLEASE TAKE IT WITH DAVID WAITE! She only reads off OneNote, notes are very accessible but never willing to meet or anything. I always ended in the Lab.
I was terrified of Accounting, so I loved that 100% of lectures were dedicated to showing us how to do the homework, which is what the tests were built around. Everything was open note/open book, so her step-by-step method of teaching worked very well for me. She team-teaches with David Waite for the pre-class assignments, so you learn from both.
Course is very well-organized and clear in its expectations. Some lecture videos are great, others are intensely boring and low-effort. The lecture slides are supplied so you don't have to watch lectures. You're given everything you need to do well, just stay on top of things and you'll do fine.
She is clear about her grading criteria. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you go to class, she does the homework on the board. She doesn't teach or lecture at all. So, you are kind of just learning by doing/copying. She goes at a fast pace and gets annoyed when you ask questions. Before every test, I had to teach myself everything.
Class time is just spent working on homework and is very fast paced. I ended up not going to class anymore and just figuring it out on my own. Class is very short so there wasn't really time to ask questions about if you didn't understand the homework. I did enjoy the lecture videos due before class though, they helped learn the content a lot.
She just uses other professors curriculum and doesn't teach it well, she just tosses you into the fire.
take david
Bunney is a great person and a good support system to have as a professor. There was a lot of content in the course, but assignments were well-connected to it and were very manageable. I honestly didn't attend class much and could've taken it online because there were recorded lectures of each class, so I'd almost say it was a hybrid class.
If you go to class you will practically guarantee doing well in the class. She goes over everything and will explain what you are struggling with, assuming you ask. Go to class, memorize the formulas, ask her about what you don't understand. That simple.
