He is great and good looking guy, I certainly recommend him. He is clear, explained every steps, offers other resources as well. He courages the students all the time. Math was never so fun with this handsome guy.

I highly recommend Prof. Burack for any math course he teaches. He was EXTREMLY help full. He never made you feel stupid if you had a question. He would always be available to help you. He would even come in on his own time during the weekend to the math center to help students study for math tests. He is easy to understand and very knowledge.

Great Prof, takes time to make sure you understand what he's lecturing on, really knows what he's talking about. Highly recommended.

Burak is awesome. Thats just it. He's funny and if you dont understand something he will try and help, not like other teachers that will ignore your questions. Jokes arent always the best but that just makes him funnyer because he'll make fun of his own jokes. Over all? great teacher and makes it easy to understand his subject.

Burak is def. one of those funny teachers that at times tries not to be but is. He takes the time to make sure everything is clear enough to understand& he has a funny accent which is easy to understand. He gives you the notes you need, and gives a lot of practice work in class which is helpful.He is really funny, he's young, and attractive which is a bonus. I would definetely recommend him. very helpful, No book necessary only MATH XL. i had 45 & 60 with him. PASSED BOTH! make sure to do homework online & do good on the quizes & test and you will receive a good grade. HE REALLY CARES IF YOU ARE GETTING THE MATH! :D

I HATE math and I took both Math 45 & 60 with Burak and loved it. He's super easy and EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!! I would definitely recommend his class to anyone! Both classes were fast track so they moved along quickly but he will def slow down to make sure everybody gets it. He's awesome!!

I took his math class at city. Burak is AWESOME! he really wants everybody to pass and explains it to you in baby steps. You still gotta work for it, so don't expect him to do everything for you and make sure to practice at home. Easy class with such great instructor!

Great prof! Really knows how to TEACH the material! He paces lectures really well, and spices in some apropos math humor. Didn't seem to let students veer him off course or waste his and the classes' time during lectures. If you need math121, and need to learn it this is the prof to take.

I think its his easygoing and fun nature that made me love taking a MATH course! He taught in a way that even the potheads in the class understood the concepts hahaha, he took time with each student if they needed extra help and you never felt like you were bugging him if you took up his time. Mr. B was an amazing professor. He knows ALLOT about math and can explain concepts in a way that makes it clear and easy to understand. Theres allot of homework but it helps and the tests are based on the homework. He somehow found a way to make math class fun. Here's to you Mr. Burak!

This is NOT an easy course if you want a good grade you must input some time into the course itself. Burak is an awesome teacher he will break the material down and if you need help GO To HIS OFFICE HOURS AND ASK!!!! He does have an accent but its not that bad he never cancelled class and sometimes he would forget his notes but hes a great Teacher

Burak is an awesome teacher there was never a cancelled class plenty of exams quizzes & hw to prep the final exam He has a great method of TEACHING the math rather than just giving us formulas we were given the chance to understand how and why we are using it. Only suggestion I could have is pushing the class to go quicker through the material.

Hilarious and makes Applied Calculus easier than I thought it would be. Be sure to not be absent, do your take home exams, and when he says that you may use your notes/homework, take advantage of that. He cares about his students and goes out of his way to help them. He is by far the best math professor I ever had.

Math XL helps out for reviewing material covered in class. Mention bands like AC/DC, Pearl Jam or even soccer if you want extra credit.

Helpful, accessible, fairly lenient, and he keeps the class interesting. Good teacher all around.

Great Class, one of the best Math teachers I've ever had. He breaks down the math problems with ease and goes step by step to make sure you get it.

Burak is a good professor I just wish I would have listened to his advice when he said his class should be the only class I take. It is a summer course and it requires homework everyday & reading the book. I will have to retake the class in the fall but that is my fault. he takes time to go over problems when you ask. he can move fast at times.

I've never like mathematics until I took this class with Burak. He made learning FUN and kept it very interesting. He has a very funny personality and his teaching style prompts students to participate. He advises reading the chapters and doing the homework, which I did everyday. The students that lag behind are the ones who DON'T do this.

Mr.Burak is an excellent math teacher! I took his class during the summer and although it was my first math class in over a year I learned quiet a bit. I liked the fact that I could ask him a question about his lecture and he would explain it not just to me but the whole class. I would recommend him to anyone planning on taking math 60.

Mr. Cebecioglu, is a very helpful professor, He helps you a lot when you have a question. Make sure you do your homework assignments as he sometimes lets you use them for exams. He even take some of his own time to answer you questions. Highly recommended. Great professor..

If you take Mr. Cebecioglu class, make sure you listen to him, he explains everything at the begging, specially when he say that you must read your textbook. He is very helpful but make sure you do your job. Math is not easy, but makes it look easy , make sure you ask if you have a doubt as he will explain and will not make you feel dump as others.

He is a very funny and his accent makes even more funny. I like the way he teaches and he is very good in explaining his material. Would recommend this class to anyone. Plus the selfie on the last day of class was great.

Burak is a great professor, he will tell you what his expectations and recomendationds are since the beginning of the semester. His teaching is crystal clear and he will make sure everyone understands the lecture. As long as you do what you are supposed to do, you will find yourself enjoying every bit of this course. Professor Burak is Awesome!! Hes really relatable to his students and makes the class interesting. Easy A if you participate, do your homework. Very patient and helpful! He gets very excited when he is teaching because he is so passionate about teaching MATH. Showing up for class is helpful because he goes over every single possible exam question

He is really nice and funny (if you have his sense of humor) and explains very clearly and it would have gotten a higher grade if I just studied harder and gave in more effort. I just didn't do the homework, which is essential to passing the class. and if you have a question ASK or go to the math center, don't wait till the last minute.

Burak.. I love him! He is super hilarious and cares so much about his students. Make sure you ask questions, participate, and do the homework! It was his first time teaching Math100 so he would make some mistakes here and there but overall amazing at teaching and so easy to approach. Also I have to say his class was the most fun class ever!

Best math professor I have had. Not only does he genuinely cares about his students but he also seems to really enjoy what he is teaching. I am generally on the shy side in class, but this professor made it to were me or anyone in class felt comfortable asking questions. If you put effort in this class he won't let you fall behind. He encourages.

Though subject but he's a great professor! Super funny probably one of the funniest professors I've had at city college. Treats you with respect. He expects you to be responsible and doesn't put a bunch of rules.

He is a really good professor and has sick jokes, workload isn't that bad, the test are tough if you don't do the assignments. Really enjoyed my time in his class even though I didn't do so well. Highly recommended for people who are willing to work hard and don't procrastinate as much. He keeps the lecture light which is really cool.

Burak is an amazing math teacher. If I could I would take him for all my math classes to come. If you don't pay attention during class and don't do the homework you will fail. You have to be willing to learn and he will guide you on the road to intelligence. He deserves a full-time position. He makes students feel comfortable and that is key.

He cares for his students. He is honest if you ask about a question that he has no answer, but he will look it up and give you the answer once he finds it. He's funny. He has a thick accent but it wasn't really a problem, I think it adds to his charm. He seems passionate about Math. His grading is fair. His tests are honestly not that hard.

He is funny but teach really well if you have a question he will answer you with examples, if you talk with him and make jokes with him you will have an easy A. He has always like 5 favorite students per class if you are one of them you will pass

This professor was wonderful. He engages the whole class and makes it very interesting. What you put in, is what you get out of it. I was so nervous about taking another math class, but he was always willing to sit after class to help those that needed additional info to have a clear understanding of each problem.

I wish I have known about this professor before the other ones I've taken. Really knows how to break it down for the students to understand what's going on. He's hilarious and makes the class feel comfortable all around. Also very clear grading; Grade reflects on the amount of effort put in. Highly recommend! I'm considering him for Math 122 summer

He's a really great professor. Lectures are great and even prints them out for you. He's really funny and makes the classes fun. Most of the exam problems are from the homework so make sure you study each question from the textbook. Your grade is only exams and quizzes though.

Best math professor I've had, and I've had some really good ones. He's patient and will answer any questions. Funny, so he made math seem more interesting with the examples he gave and the way he worded things. Practice makes perfect, gives a lot of homework but you have time to work on it.

Burak was such a sweet and funny man, but the way he taught wasn't personally my style. Calculus has always been a hard subject for me and I was nervous taking it and I ultimately ended up dropping his class and passed with another teacher. You kind of have to teach yourself and although he allows a page of notes for the test it didn't help me

I think he is really a great professor and he cares about his students. If you dont do your homework assignment you will not pass the class and he clearly states that. It was an eye-opener experience before entering the four years of college.

His class is simple and straight forward. 3 tests, a couple of quizzes, and a final. Homework comes from the textbook and is not graded. Occasionally unorganized, but his humor really makes up for it. Can't go wrong with Professor Burak's Linear Algebra course. Make sure to do your part to understand the stuff because hand holding won't cut it.

This professor is hilarious, always cracking jokes but also being really professional. He keeps you alert and makes the material very interesting to learn as he is also passionate about what hes teaching. If you have the chance to take Burak, take him.

Loved Professor Burak. Had him during the COVID-19 Pandemic, he made the distance learning transition easy by staying in touch and available for his students for questions. Excellent turnaround time when replying to e-mails. Do expect a lot of homework. Math is not my forte, but he made it fun and easier by being available.

Took Math 60 in the first ever fast track 6 weeks during summer it was HARD. Tons of homework but Burak makes it very easy to understand him. He also has a class tutor who can meek with you almost everyday she was awesome ! it was an online class through zoom and you had to complete the online homework in order to take the weekly quizzes.

He is soooooo amaZing. literally wants you to learn math. not just teaching you the material. he wants to ensure that we fully understand the material. He literally will zoom with you at 9pm if you need him. Seriously so easily accessible & so caring. 10/10 recommend him as any section of math.

One of the most caring and most reliable professors that I have ever had, I does not matter what time it is he will always be available help you out in any problems that you have in the course. He is very fair and if you communicate with him he will help you out as much as he can. As well as being a great professor he is hilarious a must take.

Prof. Burak is a smart math teacher who can provide lots of content and feedback that can be easy to take in if you pay attention. Lectures will drag on but he is hilarious and great at explaining the basic content and will try to make sure you understand it before moving on. Tests are straight forward with equations and a few SAQ's.

Two things to pass this class just do your homework, do your quizzes and pass the exams. Tips: Make sure you do the study guide because its every helpful!!!

He's extremely understanding and not crazy about deadlines. Will literally hand you a multitude of ways on how to solve 1 problem! He's easily accessible, zoom, pronto, in-person, **even after you take his course! The midterms are based off the homework and half points are given. I PROMISE you're in fantastic hands if you take his class:) Do it!!!

I had this prof, 2013 no prob All of that aside, he is a fair professor who is great at teaching math and has a passion for the subject. Respect.

He helps students understand math by being accessible outside class and modifying his explanations based on your understanding. Has high emphasis on the HW. He'll help you in Math even if you're not in his class anymore. Not wack at all.

Burak should be the head of a department. He has perfect people skills and empathy for his students. He is really good, and more than fair with the material. I kind of slacked off because I took too many classes, but I was still able to pass because he helps so much. He's funny and understands the students needs.

I struggled taking calculus for two straight years at this school until I took professor burak's class. he is straight to the point and doesn't mind offering additional assistance to his students outside of class. 10/10+ would take him again

I took his course over summer for Calc 3 but there's no option so don't mind the Math 250. Calculus in general can be a very overwhelming subject but his lectures were light hearted and he really listened to his students. He takes time to make the course feel personal for you which is something that is especially important. Absolutely recommend.

I like him a lot, I just slacked off in the end and it hurt my grade but that's on my end. If u take him I think most people will like him and his style of instruction. Also a geniunely pretty funny guy so that helps a lot when the class feels dead. He offers to help a lot and you can zoom/contact him at any time and he responds quickly.

Professor Burak is great - his lectures are clear, and he's happy to provide extra help. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for studying. The class was challenging, but worth it for the strong math foundation.

Overall hes a great teacher, he encourages people to ask questions and gives as much help as he can. Very entertaining lectures and does not take himself too serious. Exams are straightforward and if you plan on taking higher level math this professor prepares you pretty well. You should take him.
