Great professor. Explains things very well. Fun class.

Burhan's a cool dude. He teaches the class really well and gives every opportunity to succeed. I think I do a hell of a good impersonation of him:)

Totally cute. Makes it easier to come to class. Tests aren't too bad, just do the homework.

This professor is captivating!

A great teacher who is smart and seems to care about his students and wants them to do well.

He tends to fly through some things and crawl through others. I had a hard time keeping on the same page. However, I've NEVER seen a professor who has made himself available to help outside of class more than him.

He Kawosed right through the course. I've never had a teacher who made himself more available for help outside of class. Kawosa gets the job done but may leave you a bit confused at times. Watch out for those quizzes.

He's amazing. I recommend him to anyone that is taking a finance class. I only wish that I more finance to take. He's the most helpful teacher that I have ever had. Plus, he's a cutie. What's not to love?

I would take him for every class if I could, and not just because he's the hottest teacher at WSU, he's an excellent instructor too!!!

He is really HOT and the best instructor ever. I see that he puts a lot of effort in helping his students succeed. But the most important thing is that he is wassim. Inshalla he teaches here for a long time.

He said it himself : "though but fair". he gave us an idea of what to expect and did a great job! he was always there for students (study sessions on sundays-what!!!. I would highly recommened him for such a tough class...

If you just want an easy A, don't take his class...if you actually want to learn something, then take his class. He is great, (my only problem: he is too cute, it's distracting).

Burhan is more understanding than most. He gives the benefit of the doubt if you show you understand the matterial. His classes go quick. If you actually want to learn finance take him.

This class goes very fast, and if you don't take it seriously, you will end up repeating it. If he gives optional work, make certain to do it all: you'll need to know it for the tests. He likes to twist up the problems on tests.

Very politically involved guy. He's utmostly honest and fun to have discussions with. He knows his stuff and makes the Personal Finance class enjoyable.

TAKE HIM!He is a great teacher-especially if you are a finance major.He'll work with you so that you understand it.If you have the courage ask him why he looks like a woman! :o)haha

Course material is diffcult but he does a good job of explaining it. If your lazy don't take him. If you wanna learn then pick him.

Burhan is an excellent teacher...he goes above and beyond the limits to help his students...however,he does expect a little effort on the student's part, so I can understand why the lazy students might think he's mean.I absolutely LOVE him, (especially in the pink shirt!)

It was a great pleasure being in both 310 and 311. The tests were not hard if you spent time studying which I didn't until the makeup and final...but I managed to get an A in 311 unlike the final I bombed in 310 which gave me a B. I had a great time...best class I've had at WSU

Good instructor with a wealth of both financial and world knowledge. Willing to help but also expects students to keep up with the work load which isn't excessive. Should do fine as long as you pay attention and put a reasonable amount of effort in.

Wow, tough class. Study your butt off. He's a very thorough teacher and will give the class a break if everyone is struggling. He's a must if you're a finance major, but the class in general is hard.

Excellent, if you are in school to learn. Absolutely unforgiving if you slack off, but willing to work with and help those who are actually trying. Don't miss a day, don't piss him off by staring blankly when he calls on you, and you should have no trouble.

Do the homework. Read the chapters. Respond when he asks questions and he will give more than just the basics. Great to learn with. Wish he taught more for MBA students.

very tough class, all grades were test, no curve at all, he puts up with no slack, great guy but takes his job too seriously.

This is a tough class. Make sure you had him for 310 or another challenging teacher-he expects you to know the basics when you come into this class. He is a fun professor-he loves to tell stories and get off topic a lot. He'll give xtra credit assignments if you ask.

Fun Class.He does all the homework problems and book problems in class unlike some professors, who doesnt bother. Since this is a finance class, like any math subjects, study the material and practice the sums, thats the only way u'll do well in this class.he goes out of his way to make the students understand and do the problems in class.

Kawosa is a good teacher. The material covered in this course was difficult. If you are interested in the Stock Market you will succeed in this class, if you don't like it...

Burhan is Tough but Fair! the material was challenging but he is very helpful and available. there are 5 tests and a final and he gives review sessions every time. Advice: DO ALL THE HOMEWORK and Read the book and you'll be fine. He's so good looking!

Demanding, but exceptionally clear, concise, and entertaining.

Teachers at Wright State should hold students to a higher standard, and he does a good job. Exams were a lot easier than problems we were assigned for homework, but it still required a lot of studying.

Best prof I've ever had!! Tests are difficult but he teaches the material throughly and goes out of his way to make sure students understand it. Always available after class and pre-test study sessions. Take him if you want really want to learn the material.

very hard course; but he teaches it well. If you do not plan to take the CFA, do not take this course-- the whole structure is based on having students pass part of the CFA. If you enjoy finance and like to be challenged; then this course is for you! You can not help but learn something from him; he drives every important point home.

He's one of the best teachers I've had throughout my whole college experience. The only problem that you'll have is that you'll wish he taught 311 instead of Gressis.

He's a good teacher. His examples are very clear. If you work through the problems and come to class, you'll do fine on the tests.

Engages everyone in the room. Attendance is not mandatory but necessary to pass or get good grade. The material takes off after 1st test. Enjoy!

Without a doubt he is smart. However he spends the entire class doing problems. Often times your just plugging numbers and memorizing and never get more than a clue what the hell you are doing.

You can't get a better teacher than this. Class time was well used and lectures were interesting.

A great professor in deed!!! The subject is a little confusing so stay on top of notes...He def made the class easier...walks you through problems...and he is attractive (makes it easier to pay attention LOL)

Goes over all problems in class notes. Will answer any questions in a respectful manner. Always willing to help. Made the class interesting and was enjoyable to attend. Tests are pretty easy and if you prepare from the notes/homework manager, you will do great on them. Great professor if you want to learn the subject and be able to apply it.

For the first week of FIN 310, I hated my life everyday after I left the class, but Burhan definitely knows his stuff and even canceled a meeting to help a group study before the test. He is hilarious, you have to work hard, but you learn the stuff. I went from hating him to loving him...he's a great professor and I would recommend taking him.

If you are not a good student do not take him. He expects you to read and do the homework and is a hardass about it if you don't. If you are willing to work hard he is a great teacher. If you know you are a slacker take someone else.

If you know how to use the calculator and do the problems he provides in the class notes(you will see similar problems on the tests), you will have no problems in this class.

VERY good teacher! He is funny, and clear, and he actually teaches you stuff. He expects you to do the work, but thats how you learn. Awesome teacher, wish I could have him for every class.

Gives handouts that let you follow along with his notes. Also posts his written notes online. Test were what you expected. Great Professor!

He is awesome. He takes the examples out of the book and monotonously goes over them, so you remember. Tests are multiple choice. He's funny too, so he makes Finance a bit less boring. Probably the best Finance professor you can have.

He is a tough instructor but extremely helpful. So glad I had the opportunity to take this class with him instructing.

Awesome teacher. Others say he "makes fun of you" in class if you're wrong, not true, he just always questions you so you know you have the right answer. Easy class, he prepares you very well for tests.

Awesome teacher! I was nervous at first because I'm not a "numbers" person, but he explains things so you understand it! I barely used the book because he provides a packet that you work out of for the entire quarter. Very helpful! I'm interested in Finance now!

No complaints! Tests were very similar to the packet he goes over during the quarter. One bonus assignment was offered. His lectures were clear and helpful. We also got out early often. As long as you study a bit, you'll do fine. Too bad he doesn't teach 311!

If you have to take finance, take it with Burhan. He is the man. Not the easiest material, and he doesn't cave in to any crying/whining, but he is a very good teacher. If you come to class everyday and just follow what he does, you will get a good grade.

Burnhan has a great understanding of fin and uses examples to help you understand more than just numbers but how they interact and where they come from. Tests are based off of the packet given which is easy to follow. There are 4 tests and compr. final though. Overall it was very easy to follow along with what he was saying and i enjoyed his jokes

I don't usually rate profs on these sites, but I felt so inclined to let people know how good Burhan was that I got on here to spread the word. Take his classes! Best professor I have ever had undergraduate or graduate.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Fully uses modern technology. This was an accelerated summer class with a large amount of information and he made it understandable and digestible. Very professional.

Possibly the best instructor I have ever had. Does as much for the student as possible. Makes videos and .pdf files that detail how to do every problem. The class is tough and requires some work, but he teaches it well and explains things clearly. I had people who took other instructors copying his .pdf and videos from me.

The best finance teacher I have ever had. He posts how to solve problems on Pilot and uses the same formulas/approach as the textbook. I broke my ankle and couldn't drive that term, Burhan fully accommodated my handicap and would go out of his way to help. Great Professor! I highly recommend you take him.

He is a fantastic professor. Very Knowledgeable.He is great at explaining the concepts and also relates things to the real world scenarios to make it clear. Those who are not familiar with Fin,like me,will need to put in effort.But,he sure will take an extra step to help you wherever necessary. He makes you want to ask questions and find answers

So far, he's the only professor I ever had that posted videos over his lectures, which were a big help! The book was useless, I never used it and got As on exams. Study and take notes from his templates he posts and you'll be fine. He also had a few bonus quizzes that would boost test scores. Sometimes played favorites. Very funny guy. Take him!

Burhan gave an insane amount of bonus points in the class I was in, it was awesome. In the end because of all of the bonus I ended up with an A. As long as you study the power points and go to class (don’t just rely on tegrity) you will pass with an A.

He expects a lot of you; not an easy class. His exams are just like his online quizzes and problems at the end of the chapter. As long as you work on those, you'll be fine. I never watched the videos, just looked at the written out solutions. Your grade really depends on how much you're willing to put into the class.

PERFECT TEACHER.He literally gave all the resources he could to make the students successful. If you do not get a good grade its because YOU did not try. fantastic teacher would recommend him for anyone. great great guy! take him!

I can honestly say I've never had a teacher put this much time into helping the students understand the topics. He posted videos for every single question in the book and videos of what goes on in class. You do have to work but how hard you work is what grade you will get. This was one of my lowest grades but i learned the most in his class.

I highly recommend taking his class. He knows his stuff, and he is willing to help. Despite arrogance, he is quite funny and his class is enjoyable. One of my most challenging classes because he actually teaches and his tests make sure you understand the material. FYI folks if you're a cheater, there is no passing his class! Overall, great teacher!

Very detailed lectures. Best Professor for MBA 5300

Very engaging and keeps lectures interesting. He provided note packets with example problems that were worked through in class & created videos for the problems that were solved in class. Test problems had the same format as the problems in the note packets. He is truly invested in the success of students. Attend class and studying will be minimal.

Kawosa teaches the material very well and sets you up to pass. You have to attend lectures and keep up with quizzes, or you will fall way behind. He has been one of my favorite professors here at Wright State, he makes the class interesting by relating it to real life situations and sets a laid back mood in class. I would recommend him.

HILARIOUS. His classes are helpful if you follow along. He posts all in class notes on Pilot. He records videos of how to do every homework problem which is exactly like the quiz problems (that you take online at home) which are EXACTLY like test problems which are EXACTLY like final exam problems. He is a great teacher and will make you laugh.

He is a great professor. He provides online videos for his classes, you will do so much better in the class if you watch them before you come to class. He used the videos to help your understanding of the subject. A great choice for a professor.

If you have the book before the first day of class (and I am sure this goes for all of his classes) read the first chapter. It's a lot of work up front, but the class gets easier as you understand his methods. He's a great teacher, but you have to be willing to put in the work.

He is without doubt a great teacher. But get ready to put some effort into the course. There is a homework due each week on pilot. The questions are straight out of the textbook. Exams were alright - but your entire grade is based on just exams. No easy group stuff.

There's a lot of material to cover, but he provides a lot of detailed video to watch. WATCH THE VIDEOS. They will help you with the online quizzes. Read the book because there will be questions on the quizzes on theory. So understand what you're reading. That's my one complaint is that there wasn't much coverage of theory, just problems.

Prof. Kawosa is a professor who truly cares about his students. The material is rather hard but he does his best to carefully explain it and is willing to elaborate further if you don't understand. I definitely recommend this professor.

6 weeks just isn't long enough for this class if you have a full time job and a family. Mr. Kawosa was great. No complaints about him. I wish I had been advised to take his traditional section. He is a great teacher. The online weekly sessions were interactive. The amount of time required to watch all his other videos plus the homework was a lot.

He is an amazing teacher. If you show up to class you will understand the material and if you need help he is available to help you. I believe he teaches the course material well. I did very poorly on the exams even though I understood the material. I am a bad test taker and if you are should study ten times harder.

Top Notch!

He is one of the best teachers at WSU by far. He truly cares about his students and gives everyone more than enough to succeed in his classes. He WANTS his students to succeed and learn. As long as you actually put in effort, you could easily walk away with a B, minimum. There is quite a bit of homework and 2 exams, but he does give extra credit.

A little under six weeks made it a little difficult but not impossible to do well. Professor kawosa did a great job. The live sessions helped me more than just watching recorded lectures. Expectations were clear but I had to drop my other class and focus on this one. It worked out in the end as I got an A in the end after getting a B on the midterm

Prof. Burhan has been one of my best teachers so far. He puts in a lot of effort to make sure he does whatever necessary , and even goes an extra mile, for his students. He explains and records the end of chapter questions which were very helpful. His online live sessions were helpful as well. In my opinion, he is one of the best teachers so far!

Best teacher in the MBA program!

MVP of the MBA program. Business finance is the backbone of the MBA program, it is what the degree is really built around. Burhan is super caring, going out of his way to make sure students know the material and are ready for 7300. Videos showing step by step how to do the problems, and his humor during lecture made the class go so well. Awesome!

Alright WSU future graduates, if you are in Finance or Business, you need to take as many courses as this guy offers. Burhan has a natural gift of teaching ability, and he is very patient with those who struggle with concepts. Do NOT try to memorize formulas. Learn the material, and this guy's class could change the way you think about finance.

I am NOT a finance major and did NOT want to take this class. But Burhan made it possible for me to not hate finance :) Great teacher and really caring. He provided a lot of online help and thats what let me do better. Even if you are not in his class ask him for his poponto videos.

Lots of homework, but allows 1 sheet of formulas for the class, so write small.

Clear expectations, good recorded lectures and helpful live webex sessions. The online proctored exams technology could be better... but no major complaints.

Mr. Kawosa wants his students to succeed and does whatever is needed to help. Class lectures are great, recorded videos are very helpful. Do things his way and you will succeed. Use the videos and homework to practice. Do all the homework. Do the work and you will be fine. Try to get by without and you will fail.

Of all the online classes in the MBA program this is by far the best. The online test proctoring is a bit inconvenient - the software could be better. As far as Kawasa is concerned he does a great job especially with the live sessions. The online book was ok.. homework took a lot of time but helped with understanding the material.

Just finished the course and ended up with an A. It isnt too bad as long as you treat it like a graduate course. I was traveling for work while taking the course and could not have done it if it werent all online. His videos are great but you need to spend time on homework as well. He was good with responding to questions by email. Great prof!

Video lectures are good and he is quick with resppending to emails. Whenever I got stuck, sent a screenshot of the problem and my work.. he would respond quickly. This is an easy class but I had to take it seriously.

This is not an easy class! Takes a lot of time and effort but he is a great teacher. I was not sure about taking this course online but its working out well. Dont miss the weekly online class.

I took the online class. One to two chapters per week (typically one) and he had a lecture every week, I read the chapter before the lectures to follow along. The lectures were very helpful and he presented in a constructive way. Each chapter had one homework assignment and there were two tests. It's finance, put the work in and you'll get an A.

Closed book midterm and final, each of which is worth 40% of your grade. Other 20% is Homework through the Textbook maker (which is all online). There are a couple MOCK tests as well worth points. Overall okay, but in finance, nothing is closed book in real-life.

A++++ Proctoring software was a minor irritation... instructor was good. Lots of homework points, 2 exams and a coupe of mock exams. Overall a great experience for an online class.

I have taken online classes before but this was by far the best. The weekly web conference was great but I couldnt attend all sessions. He would post the recordings in a day or two. The homework can be a pain but helped with staying on track. Overall a great course.

Do not be fooled, this class is super time-consuming. You MUST watch all videos and lectures if you want to pass with a B or higher. That being said, if you put in the time necessary to study and rework all the problems, you will get an A. He is GREAT at responding quickly when you have a question and will help you if you ask. Would take again.

Fabulous teacher! Put in the effort and the class is not too difficult.

Video lectures take a lot of your time but very effective in making you learn the material (didn't have time to read book but lectures sufficient). Lot of computations that become a breeze when you learn material and professional calculator (a must). Exams are not open book, but you have a sheet of paper for formulas. Responds to email quickly.

Great teacher and always willing to help. Would love to take more classes with him but seems like he only teaches this one.

Mr. Hazelbaker in accounting and Mr. Kawosa in finance are the best professors in the business college.

He is a great teacher who wants everyone to succeed. Being able to join remotely was a tremendous help for me as I work full-time. I enjoyed the class a lot and would take more classes with him if I was a finance major.

Super responsive to emails and will do anything to help you succeed. His lectures have real world examples and he makes the class fun. I am changing my major to finance. He needs to teach more classes.

Professor Kawosa is an engaging and caring instructor. The class requires some effort, but he makes finance enjoyable even for math-averse students. Unstuck study was a helpful tool for study prep alongside the free textbook.
