Great teacher. Likes to ramble on a bit, but is funny. No due dates for papers, easy grader on tests. Highly recommend.

This professor has a way of getting the information to you. Loves to talk. He's hysterical when he goes on his little tangents and explains certain scenerios. Especially about Aphrodite. Good class to take, good professor. Will give you good feedback.

Good class. Great guy, he loves to talk and show slides.An essay a week isnt too bad and the final and midterms are easy. He doesnt talk to much about the text, requires you to read it.

Very easy class! He likes to talk... a lot, but has interesting things to say. I took two of his humanities classes and passed both with an A. If I had a chance I would definately take another class with him, he's awesome.

Easy class b/c you dont have to pay attention. You do have to write a lot of papers, but he is fair in grading them. Overall he is easy and a very nica guy. No tests, just papers.

Excellent Teacher!He is very passionate about the topic and it shows in his teaching style.There are a lot of short papers to write but no chapter tests.I promise you that if you take his class you will learn so much! He is also very flexible and will answer all your questions in detail:)

Very organized and energetic professor. If we had an award for the best dressed professor, he would totally get it! He dresses like a man out of the GQ mag. If you don't like lecture classes and don't find Humanities interesting that don't take him. But overall hes a EXCELLENT teacher! 2 Thumbs UP!

Brilliant professor, it's obvious he loves what he does.If you read the material & listen in class the tests will not be a problem.He offers a mid-term and a final(essays)-those are the only exams! Reports are required-roughly 10 in total for the semester.Funny guy,has lots to say :)was a pleasure!

Art with a camera. He's a very talented photographer and dedicated to helping his students develop their skills as a photographers. Stout likes to talk and can get off topic, but there is never a dull moment in his class.

I am taking two more classes with B.S. He is the greatest. He makes you want to learn, not just the subject matter at hand, but learn everything you can. He inspires you to develop your own ideas and speak your mind. I can honestly say, he is the best Professor I have encountered. Take any of his classes that you can - if you want to learn.

He is a great teacher! Don't drop his class at the beginning of the semester just because you don't understand where he's going with everything. Everything eventually comes together and he makes the class fun.

Very very long winded at times but a great professor. He really knows his stuff! Assignments are straightforward: midterm, final and 7-8 journal entries. Takes a lot of pictures on his trips and will show them in class. Very willing to help students if they come to him. Plus he's a really nice guy. Take him!

This is the best professor I've had in my entire life. He is extremely knowledgeable and brilliant. At the same time he is very humble and nice. I wish all professors were like Mr. Stout. He is amazing

Here is the honest truth.. Great teacher who is very excited about his lectures which is good. He is very fair when it comes to grading but i must admit the content was a little boring and i fell asleep a few times it might be beause he turns the lights off nearly every class but i recommend taking him.

My first class in the morning and he is wired, don't know how many cups of coffee he has b/f class, it's hard to fall asleep in his class, cause he doesnt stop talking. He has great photos, very smart, funny he is fair on grading and very helpful. I would take him for other humanities.

Awesome class...20th Century Humanities. He has surprises in his class that isn't on his syllabus. Really cool guy. Awesome experience. I would highly recommend him.

GREATTTTT Professor. He really teaches and what he teaches, that what you are asked about on the exams. He loves his work and that's great. I am an International Student and we pay high tuitions but I must say, I got more than my money's worth. He has great photos, has European trips for Spring Break, Summer, etc.

OMG, super boring class for me. He loves to talk, talk, talk and gets off topic all the time. Very nice professor though and the class is super easy, you can get an A if you dont die of boredum. DONT buy the text, I never even used it and I got an 'A'.

I didn't get it, but i know he is a very smart man and knows a lot about life and the things people do not normally pay attention too.

Prof. Stout means well. He talks very abstract and out of the box. However, he's not a bad teacher. A lot of ppl disrespect him and act like he knows nothing but he's quite knowledgeable. He just needs to work on staying ontopic. If he conveys his lectures along with the material better, he'd be a real hit with the students.

B.S. is great! He is funny and pretty much an artistic genious. I can understand why people would get bored, but i love hearing his insight. You don't need the book, i have a high A without it..just take notes or pay attention!! Anything i've asked for or needed help on i got it. He genuinely loves his job.

stout is a great professor

Very easy class. Teacher is uh..quiet intereresting, makes corny jokes...but overall pretty easy going and nice guy. We never touched the book and its very expensive so dont buy the book unless you love art and want to use it for later interest.He never gives homework and all you have to do is write a paper and watch a slideshow in class.

Burt loves the sound of his own voice. He thinks he is a genius, and he might be right, but he goes off on a tangent and forgets what the question was in the first place. DON'T BUY THE BOOK, you will NEVER use it! He assigns very little work and is an EASY grader, but he mostly talks about stuff that is of no use when you go to write the essays.

BS loves the subjects that he teaches, he's likeable. He also takes TONS of pictures and loves sharing them with his classes.. even if that means keeping students late! Don't expect to get out early, he just has too much to say/share. It's not hard to get a good grade but it's really hard to stay focused! Over all this class is pretty boring.

I love this man. He is so passionate and so knowledgible about the stuff he teaches. For him he's not really teaching for grades but he's sharing a passion of his with his students by telling the stories and showing all of his original photography that is very relevent to the course. He thinks he is a genius and I think in a way he is.=] Take it!!!

He is a really good professor with tons of "nuclear ideas to share in class"!!read them!! he loves to hear feedback or comment about his ideas.He will show many of his pix in class and if you r like a movie by the end of the semester!take this class with mr. stout,you will learn mucho.

Well, I must admit he is a great teacher. You will learn alot in his class. As long you stay on top of your work, you will get an A! This class was like a walk on the beach.

Extremely easy class! Don't really need the book, and he can ramble. Gives you "nuclear ideas" which are very easy to understand, and can help you with your papers for Gordon rule classes. He likes it when you use it as a reference, and he does ramble a bit in class. He's pretty laid back. Easy A. Had him for ART 2930C, HUM 2234, and HUM 1020.

The professor is easy going and quite eccentric. You'll pass this class if you're a good listener and have a proficency with writing essays.

Great professor. Very easy going. His class get a little borrowing sometimes. Overall its a great class. Just write your papers and you will pass. Your grade consist of 4 papers out of class and 2 papers in class. Easy "A" if you put any effort.

The most memorable thing about him is his view on Nelly's "Tip Drill" song. It is ROFL funny.

He talks more about himself than teaching, but into the semester you do learn about other things not related to the lesson, which is ok. Dont take this for a full semester, take it in the summer.easy class, but gotta write short essays..take him not that bad.

Burt Stout is an awesome prof ..he makes art history and humanities very fun to learn.

Class is an easy A. He talks too much and really goes off subject all the time but if you are a good essay writer you will make a good grade in this class. If you like to voice your opinion in class do not take this class as he will not let you get a word in edgewise.

This was one of my favortite classes. Burt's rants are the best. Don't tune him out though, you'll actually need the information for the tests. Overall it's an incredibly easy class and he's hilarious to listen to. Take his class is you have the chance.

Rambles alot but really nice guy. Knows alot of interesting details. Tests are easy just pay attention to what he says and its exactly what the tests will be about. Lenient on attendance and tardiness.

Prof Stout is an interesting man. He knows A LOT of information on everything. I literally mean EVERYTHING and he will relentlessly talk about them. You will never ever read the book, but he will ask a lot about the one he wrote. He quotes himself... a lot. Good guy though

He is an awesome professor I took him during the summer for HUM 20th Century & HUM Greek/Roman and he was awesome. He is Very interesting and smart. Its a easy A. You don't use the book at all; but he wrote the book so its very interesting but don't need it for class.

Took him for 20th Century Hum. And really, all you have to do is pay attention if you can. He does just ramble on but a lot of things he says, are interesting. The essays are due whenever and he gives you about 200 topics and you only need 10 so you have a lot of options.

Nice guy, but brace yourself to endure ramblings every class. He will go on & on and it doesnt matter if the class is dead silent. He likes discussion, but sometimes addresses the entire class like we are all 18 year olds. Hold off on buying his nuclear ideas (its his book with topics) he will give you topics in class anyway. Dudes and dudettes!

Prof. Stout is AWESOME! I've taken all of my humanities classes with him. If your learning method is reading textbooks & answering questions, THIS CLASS ISN'T FOR YOU. He makes you think outside the box, he talks alot, and he's very smart. You mostly write a few papers and the test are easy too. It's an easy A, i dont see how anyone can fail.

And sometimes he talks to get you thinking outside the box that is related to the course. Even his "nuclear ideas" may seem silly but just show him respect because he has a lot of wisdom and he deserves it!

TAKE PROFESSOR STOUT FOR ALL HUMANITIES CLASSES! He's a good professor, likes to talk A LOT, and tends to go off subject, but definitely worth it, EASY A! Gives you over 200 topics to choose from, but you only need 10, if that, and always use a quote from his nuclear ideas book, and you'll be sure to get extra points for that dudes&dudettes! :)

TAKE HIM. his great..he seems to go of topic a lot but its well worth it. easy A.. He gives you over 40 topics to choose from and you only need 5 to 10. hi funny and make the class interested. after taking his class, i start watching all the greek and romans movies. haha Take him dude and dudets..you'll know what i'm talking about when you take him

Professor Stout is a great teacher. He lectures during his class and has very good insight. Depending on the person, you may or may not like his sense of humor and sarcasm. As long as your assignments, you will be fine.

Burt Stout is an interesting man and a perfect professor. This course informative and eye-opening. There were only four required papers and two exams. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Prof Stout is a really smart guy. He wrote his own book and knows his stuff. Def buy and use both books, especially Nuclear Ideas. He makes a lot of good points. His lectures are long but pay attention. You may or maynot enjoy his humor, but he makes the subject interesting. Only a few papers and tests. Not hard at all to get thro. Def take him.

SImply one of the best professors at Valencia. Explains his points through other thoughts and attracts anyones attention. He is a super good teacher that will teach you anything even thought you are not willing to get it. Super recommended and I am already registered in 3 other classes with him. SUPER GREAT JOB!

His teaching technique is extremely brainstorming/scattered. It's not spoon-feeding like some classes can be, but at the same time he got off track so much and I really feel like I know nothing about Greek and Roman humanities after taking his class. His humor is not really that of most college students either lol. Don't recommend at all.

ATTETION DUDES AND DUDETTES! This is definitely a class worth taking. I never bought the book for the class, but I wish could have found Nuclear Ideas (the book in the dumpster) Just do the essays which have interesting topics and you will passed. The exams are pretty easy. Its an all writing class but easy trust me I HATE WRITING! AND I GOT AN A!

This professor made the class very interesting, you will not regret any moment in his class. The topic he lecture on always relates to everyday life. Even though it's a humanity, he do a great job related to our reality. All you have to do is do his assignments and you will pass the class.
