A great down to earth kinda guy. You can't fail his class unless you try to!

Did a great job and keeps us on target. Learnt a lot in this class. I would recommend him to any student. Great fun

Burrus rocks! He is an excellent professor. Laid back. I agree, if you failed or did not want an "A" in this class, you did not want it or did not care! This class is not hard.

very easy! open book tests, gives u time in class to do homework and assignments. there should be no reason why u should fail this class. if u do then u shouldn't be in college

He is an awesome teacher his test are a little bit hard, but if you go over the material it is an easy A. If you don't pass this class you did not want to. I will take another class by him.

Easy, open book tests, very caring and kind. he really knew his stuff, he made you really feel comfortable about things, he cared if you were having personal problems. All around good guy who looked out for you. If you want to make a A+ this is the guy to take.

He's very sweet and understanding.He will give you an opportunity if you need it...just don't advantage of that.He makes you do his work but if you have problems he's really helpful.You could use notes and books on test *except the final* but he's a good overall.

Dr. Burrus is intelligent, fun, and teaches with an obvious interest in his field. He made his expectations clear, provided multiple helpful tips for success, and made himself extremely accessible for assistance. If you are striving for that elusive A, it is imperative that you read and understand the text.

Easy class, prof was very informative and helpful.

Class is very easy! If you have ever touch a computer in your life, you will do just fine in this class. He will help you if you have a problem. Very down to earth and understands your problems.

He is so laid back. All of our tests were open book, except for the final. He is a nice guy and very helpful. He is from the old school regaridng respecting teachers, his pet peeve is people leaving early w/o telling him they need to. If you do have to leave early you will never have a problem so long as you tell him before class.

Dr. Burrus is such a nice guy. Whenever you need help at an assignment he won't hesitate to help. His tests were open book except for the final. But you would get to choose 2 out of 4 multiple choice answers when taking a test in the computer (you know instead of only being able to choose one answer through scantron). I got a B but I didn't do much

Easy A but the final will screw you.i got an A on evry assignment and test. then the final came and i got a F on it and it dropped my grade to a B. trust me the final is hard

OK first of all make two friends upon entering this class u will see y ;) class is very simple! REAL nice professor ... but beware of that FINAL! ... i sooo thought i would get an A in this class but ended up getting a B... OH!!! DON'T BUY THAT EXPENSIVE BOOK JUST BUY THE DISC

this man is hilarious,but when it comes to work he gets down to it.He can be leniant and he will help you if he can.His tests were easy,assignments were easy but that final will get you!Also you'll catch on to his funny little phrases,such as "why thunder no!" good class. easy. fun! just keep up with all assignments and your all set!

this man is a good professor... I did not study and passed with a B.. i'm mad I bought the expensive book... all you need is the disk with the code... he is funny.. he always says your grandchildren will make fun of you... and heavens no, look at me this maybe the first time you have all year... he's good!

An excellent man and teacher. Tests, labs and assignments are really easy. The tests are done in the computer and you have 2 chances to get the right answer. The final contains 3 parts and there is one chance to get the right answer (not good). Your actual grade won't be mess up (highly) with the final. He's very funny. I highly recommend him.

Takes role everyday. Assignments & exams r on computer. Dont really need textbooks, just key. But textbooks can help. I bought books and opened them a handful of times-Regretted buying them. Very entertaining & funny professor.

Really nice guy, but make sure that you read the chapters or you will be lost in class. He does not go over the chapter, but does a great review on questions that you might have!!

He is a really nice professor!!! He goes over each chapter kind of quickly so be sure to read before coming to class. He tries to be really fair with his tests in order to help you pass. I recommend him highly! :)

OK this is accounting so you know it is somewhat hard. He makes it kinda easy because he wants his students to pass. He will do what he can to like add points on your tests to help out. VERY HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

Excellent Professor. I failed the first two test and still managed to pull and B. He simply wants you to get a good regardless of you understanding or not. Ultimate slacking class.

Professor Burrus is the best if you try you will pass with a good grade he is very flexible and considerate of his students. He is also helpful and will curve or give you chances to bring up your grade if you are doing bad. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

loved dr. burrus!!! MOST UNDERSTANDING PROFESSOR IN UHD! found out a frend passed away right before the test and he let me make it up. we had open book, take home test and quizzes. the final was over our past exams, he even put it in the same order! i liked hearing stories about how much money his friends/clients have! TAKE HIM! Easy class!

This is an excellent teacher! I did enjoy the material but most everything I learned was based on the readings on my own (not much one to learn from lectures) but the slides were useful. Couldn't get any easier: note usage, questions on Final, and take home "make-up" cool but not quite fair for us that studied. The PSET was great in that he helped!

Prof Burton is a great person I enjoyed his class.He is upbeat and funny.He is very helpful and understanding.Read your book and you should pass.

The is a really good professor. all of the test except for the final was OB. He goes over the PS so that you can understand and get the answers. Make sure you read the chapters before you go to class so that you can follow the lesson.

Great professor... All of the tests except for the final are open notes. He helps you with the practice set and is open to questions if anyone's confused about the material. Prof. Burrus is very caring and willing to help anyone who runs into a situation by letting you make up your tests or working something out to keep you from flunking the course

This professor is very helpful I am currenty taking him in Summer I and we have had a takehome test and the rest are open book test! You can use ur notes also! He knows his stuff and is always willing to help you!!

I had a hard time in this class becuase he expects you to know this already. Also this semester we had to experience with this new book and software that sucked and we have been playing catch up with the hw's. He can be great but you really have to pay attention and study cuz he explains it one way and the book another.

If your not a business major get ready to walk into a whole new world! This was a whole other language! Mr Burrus is a wonderful professor though, very helpful and actually wants to see you succeed Highly recommed him!

One of the most kind hearted professors. He is very helpful and wants you to succeed. Ask a million questions he does not mind. The material is tough and you must read the book. He goes over the power point but you must read the book and work problems. The tests are M/C but not easy if you study and do not blow off the class you will be fine.

Super sweet guy! Really cares about students. Ask questions if you don't understand and he will go over until you understand. Read the material and ask questions in class and you'll do great. Tests are pretty easy if you do as stated above. I would definitely recommend and take any other classes he teaches.

Excellent teacher, helpful, thorough, and fun. Jokes around but gets the material across very well. Will be taking him again for Accounting 2302.

Awesome proff. Made class funny and interesting. It's not hard, you just have to study a little more than usual. Tip: lisen to him when he says to use the chap summary to help study. They truly work!!! I started on 2nd exam and did much better.

Great teacher. Makes class interesting with his sense of humor. Made a "D" in ACCT 1 with another teacher, made a "B" in his class. Gives extra credit and curves. Final exam is the easiest.

Burrus is the ONLY prof you should get for acct. Honestly, acct is NOT my thing. Failed the first two exams. However, Burrus gave us take-home make-up exams. Did better on 3rd test and final is straight from all 3 tests combined. He gives answers for all of them. Got a 100 on final. Started off the class with F's and made it out with a solid A.

From the reviews I see a lot of people putting that he's easy. I thought acct was a bunch of #'s (since I'm good @ math) but it's not- it goes deep into it. I barely passed and if you read your book (which I didnt) it will help you a lot. He's a great professor and final is really easy. I still dont get it and I'm lost for the 2nd part. :(

Okay, I'm almost done with the 2nd part and since I've worked in a mfg company, I understand the concept far better than the 1st part. Read the book and you'll do just fine. I work full-time, am a mom, and am taking 3 classes and managed to pull this one off with a B. Take him! :)

Great professor.

SUPER HELPFUL, attend class do HW which he will do in class. pay attention to exam reviews cause what he shows you will be on the test,dont be afraid to ask questions cause he will help you. wish all professors were like him

Great professor, very helpful. Pretty easy class, I should have gotten an A but he misplaced the 2nd part of my pset and I only got half of the points. Not bad at all.

Reading all the comments I'm a little confused. The class is in fact very easy. There is no reason not to get an A or B in this class. However, this professor is kind of a jerk. He treats everyone like kids. He repeats himself a lot. It gets very annoying at times. My biggest complaint is his lack of tact and disrespect of his students.

Professor Burrus is a great professor. The only problem is that he just reads from powerpoint slides and doesn't really go throught the actual chapters in the book. I took him this summer. He gives 3 exams and one final for sum plus the practice set. You can easily make an A in his class if you attend regularly and he will help you if needed.

I was so afraid of Cost Acct before taking him, but it is an easy class. Very friendly prof and helpful too.

Mr. Burrus is awesome and I definitely recommend him! His stories are hilarious and he keeps you interested in Financial Accounting. He is very helpful and showed the class a large portion of the completed practice set. Take him!

The guy is very nice, his classes are clear and he will explain and help you as much as you need. not an easy one, but certainly an achievable A with a bit of effort

If you want to make an easy A, take this class. We had an online exam and three take home exams. Very easy. There were powerpoints during lectures, so we did have visuals and he does take the time to answer any questions. Easy A in ACCT = Prof. Burrus

Prof Burrus is a great teacher. The powerpoints are great; they summarize the lengthy chapters although you still have to do a lot of reading! We had take home tests and he gave ample time to complete. He emphasized on what you needed to know in class and if you didn't understand, he would go over it until you did. Taking him for others classes!!

hes honestly the best professor I''ve ever taken. super nice guy. love the way he teaches.. helps you pay attention and not fall asleep. grades fair. I''m taking him for everything else he''s teaching. my only complain is wish he taught more classes

Great professor with a great sense of humor, makes the class interesting. HE sometimes tends to get off topic, but never the less he's there if you need any clarity on the material being discussed. He offered one extra credit assignment, and is very fair. I would definitely take him again!

As long as you show up you will pass. He is awesome this is my second time taking Acct 2301 and I am walking out of the class with an A. He will help you out in anyway he can. Def taking 2302 with him.

I love professor Burrus, he is nice and easy going. He really understands what it is to have a job and be a student. He will work with you as long as you let him know in advance. He allowed me to take final exam early because of work. I would definitely take him again if he taught more classes.

Show up, pay attention, and you'll be fine. He gave us 2 take home test and the last one was the only hard one. the Final was litteraly questions from the 3 test so it was easy. He wants you to pass so he gives out extra credit, but he doesn't let anyone just skim through. He will work with you if you talk with him. Over all hes a good guy.

If accounting is not your subject, I highly recommend this professor. Unlike most acct professors, his exams consist mostly of context and key terms. No math and no workout problems. 4 exams including final. Will assign take home exams. Super easy!
