The deal with this teacher is you show up to class, you learn ALL and I mean ALL the material and you'll do fine. The guy is a jerk and doesn't care about his students but he is organized and can explain things clearly.
Hard teacher, but an earned mark...thats all i can say! Acts like one of the students sometimes...

it is a hard course, he is a very hard marker but if u ask for help he is always willing to, and cares a lot for the success of his students. I love him as a teacher and thank him for his concern
I don't if he is a good teacher in INB355, but I got him in MRK200. He is the worst teacher, over demanding, and he doesn't even know how to teach Marketing course in the first place. DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR MARKETING.

He is definitely a hard marker, but you lean your stuff. He likes looking at girl, too bad I am a Guy… Study for the Tests and let him know your interested ask Questions and soon you will be the only one in class talking to him. He is a good guy, don’t know why everybody is so scared of him ????! He has a “small man complex “

Well, a very nice guy. although he's tough, you learn a lot from him at the end of the semester. I confidently sure you will learn the most useful knowledges from him!!

this professor is the worst professor that i ever had due to the following reasons: he is stright , he doesn't accept late assignment even if you have a good reason and he seems that he 's really educated but in fact i have no idea what he 's saying folks, i recommand you should drop the course if he is your professor.
This is the worst escuse for a teacher ever....worst marker...worst person, has made me cry so many times. Dont take this course with him if there is one message u should listen to it's this one ..trust me.

well what can i say ...He is the hardest teacher in 5th semester of INB. he wants alot of detail...very strict marker.....alot of people have taken his markings to the chair of our program...all i can say is you cant slack off in this subject and if you want good marks.. everythings got to be detailed and well presented..
He is frank and detailed..I dont think he is the worst prof at seneca because there are alot of rotten apples. I started off failing the class because of my full time job but once my contract was up i started to do better and he didnt hesitate to bump up my grade to a B+. He will Help you if you try!!!
This is exactly what fair is all about. If you didnt like him you slacked. If you achieved its because you listened. This is hands down the most fair teacher ever. No favourites and if you blew one of the 4 major tests and talk to him normally he ll let you do another one at a later date. Good man overall
He is a very hard marker,very strict with marking,you have to give him everything he asks for and well presented,he doesn't teach bad but i don't think he is fully aware of the topics,always check your tests, he makes mistakes and doesn't care about it, but a nice person
He is really nice teacher, if I had the chance I would take him again:) he will explain everything you don't understand and help you if you have problems. It is hard at first, but at the end of the course, it gets easier and fun:)
Has good knowledge about marketing. Looks tough and hard grading but worth the nerves.
How can you call yourself a teacher if you want your students to fail? Gives ridiculously hard tests that everyone fails, and is known as 'that teacher you don't want to take for INB 355'. He plays around with words and makes things intentionally hard to understand. If you pass his class, consider it a miracle from God.
He is an unprofessional idiot, who does not like students. He is narrow thinking, biased and finally very slippery. Never give good advice or exact answer. All his advices are too general and unhelpful.

His test and his lecture are not related. If you see other students test paper, you can find out there is no exact answer at all. He also don't know what is his test's answer. Having his class is a disaster!
He's an interesting teacher but his tests are very difficult. It is very hard to get a good mark with him (though some people are able to do it). Very hard marker, but you'll learn a lot in his class.

He is organized with his content materials, but boring presentation. He doesnt know how to make it interesting. He makes a boring class, worse. Not sure about his knowledge. Horrible in his judgments. In my college lifetime, I think he is only proff I will never ever would want to take again. NEVER EVER !
No b.s. with this guy! You better come to class knowing your stuff inside/out or else you're screwed. Basically, read and take notes ahead of time before attending his class. He wants very precise and detailed answers, so no beating around the bush or being imaginative when it comes to tests.
Unfair, Unjust, Irrational. Probably the worst professor I ever had to face. To all my dear future students, take my advice; if you want to fail and have frustrating semester, go ahead and join his class.
Hard course but very useful. It's tough in the beginning but as you get more into the material it all connects. Teacher explains well and goes over the material, and in return expects full participation during class. He also expects students to read ahead and prepare prior to the lectures.
where to start...low skills, horrible teacher, doesnt know if he is actually right, or you are right, or god is right, or mother goose... "where i want you guys to be in terms of", "at this point in time", quotes from his everyday language that make you go nuts. pops one of these up very often. hard unfair marker, does not explain what he wants
If you are taking, import/export or export marketing. Remember, both of these two courses are the most important ones. And if you take this guy, you are simply doomed. All you will be left with are poor grade and frustration.so, careful. tc fellas.

Instead of explaining new materials, he always reads the book aloud very fast. He says 'not memorizing, but understanding is needed', but in reality he checks and marks every word on the test.If your sentence lacks two words compared to the textbook, he will give you half mark. So, sleepping with the book day and night is the the only way to get B+
Never explains how to fill in the documents. Instead, he asks you to do so with a partner, so you have no idea whether you're doing it right.You see the doc for the 1st time! However, it will be on the test, where he will check everything word by word! That's why the average mark is 50.

He is a very fair teacher I have met and your efforts will be valued from his marking. If you want to learn in this course, you will know he is helpful.

Overall a good prof. Class is hard so read the textbook. Explains everything pretty well. Easy to approach. Easy marks on projects. However, hard tests.
He is an excellent professor. Not all students like him. why? students want their easy way out. Seneca has very poor professors, and Byron is probably one of the few good ones. I know is hard to change from easy profs to a challenging one, but if you want to actually learn something. Take him!
Think again, If you are taking this professor. He would confuse you with the confusing confusion. Did you get that, Nah!!. The course is pretty much easy but he would try his level best to make it more difficult for you. Best of luck...
Don't take this EASY course with this prof. You can probably get an A with another prof than with this guy. Save yourself from the stress and hair loss.
No organization. Structure kept changing based on student votes! One day he had an in-class assignment (when the syllabus said it would be next week!!!) and if you weren't there you're out of luck! The instructions were fast and if you missed something you had no chance to go back because it was due in 15 minutes. It was worth 10%! Beware!!!!!!!!
Byron is a really challenging teacher. he is tough grader, doesn't clarify anything. He has so unclear grading criteria and if you ask him to explain it, he is getting annoyed. However, I am satisfied that I have taken his class, because he helped me to overcome my problems.

Overall welcoming professor who likes participation, relaxing class & some lean way to student, though lectures are purely based on textbook & sometime not giving clear instruction (handing in assignments on time is a must). Easy A+ if you do your job as a student. For SSC, student should aim to understand course material rather than memorizing.
Man I remember taking international business back in 2010 and it was global marketing. I am pretty sure Tobar was nice enough to pass me and my group members given how much of a shambles we were in, drama after drama probably the worst group ever existed.
Decent grade, B+. You do have to read the book and attend classes. Did i work hard? Yes, as any student should. Life isn't easy, neither is learning. Byron's style of teaching is out of date to be frank and ineffective. He gives quizzes at 5% each and you have to answer 3 paragraph style questions in a matter of 20 mins only. Mr. Tobar, it's 2015.
He always changed his minds and the course outline. Meanwhile, he expected too much to us. You will feel very frustrated if you take his course.
Tobar is a pretty tough grader and rips your group apart with questions after a presentation and it was rough. But I do like his lectures - interesting and sometimes about current events. He also likes to give bonus marks mini assignments and questions on tests which is cool.
Tobar is not good pros. He teaches how to walk but test requires you how to ride a bike.
The worst prof ever! Never take him if you have an option. Doesn't teach at all!!!!! Just talks about random general things, and overuses words "Explicitly", "Specifically " and "Actually"! Expects you to be an expert without teaching a single chapter!!!!!! Horrible horrible horrible!!!
Certainly the worst professor Seneca hired. He just babbles on in class and overuses the words "explicitly", "actually", and "specifically" almost every few seconds. Has no idea what he's doing, seems lost when he lectures students, kind of BS's when he talks. This was a marketing metrics course and ZERO metrics was tought. Never used the textbook.
Tells us to go learn the fundamentals of class out of class. Has a very weird teaching strategy. Hard marker.
He is all messed up looking to adopt some innovative strategy but end up getting worst. He asks students to read themselves, get expertise on certain topic and explain to students. Gradually the whole book. So basically he roams around the class watching students teaching other students the ENTIRE SEMESTER. Just change the professor!
WORST professor at Seneca College, gives u assignments last minute with less than 48 hours to complete.
Never ever take his course. He doesn't teach u anything. It is a terrible experience for students. It will ruin your gpa. I don't know why he still be a teacher. And I can't believe someone recommendation his course.

Very nice professor. Attend all the classes you will get more than 70%. Lectures are very useful.
Just read the article in the class, and too dull at the end. Video testing fewer times, the grading system is fantastic!!!
You should attend his class and follow his instructions or else you will fail this course. Apart from studying you can do nothing to pass this course and attendence is mandatory but great professor.
Please avoid being a bad prof. he can't explain it to you. when you defend your mark..I know soon you will end up in jail
