Great class! There is no bookwork or projects. The class is interesting. Grades are based on qiuz's (which you get multipul attempts on) and tests. Overall great class to take if you want to learn a lot and have fun.

He's a great prof! He listens and makes people feel like they have something to contribute. He's funny but also serious. He doesn't suffer fools easily, or for that matter students who don't do the reading, or have their cell phones go off, or crack their gum in class. Act like you're in college and this will be one of your best classes.

Prof. Ellerman’s lectures make Business Law clear & accessible to students; he is funny, thorough, & realistic. (Prof answers most questions, though he expects intelligent ones.) Outside of class, he’s very available for questions/comments – esp. via email. The schedule is well organized, so there’s no “crunch” at the end. We highly recommend him!

ellerman is a cool dude.. i liked his class until the end of the year. BEWARE when you agree to the ground rules he actually grades you on if you follow them i got my grade knocked for "chewing gum" but its really my tongue piercing :( oh and also try to participate in class you will lose a whole letter grade i did :( overall he is cool though

What a great teacher! Class always went by super fast all the time. He is accessible and always willing to help you out in a sticky situation and will admit his own grading faults. The class was interesting too, who knew?

He has a wonderful teaching style that keeps you interested & yearning to participate. He incorporates lessons from the text into real life circumstances via the NY times. Law & Society, what a great class. I think it should be required for classes in even high school to cover material like this that makes you reflect on how laws do or do not effect our every day lives. Go E! One warning, don't sign up for a class and not expect to attend or do the work. Stupid SHOULD hurt so just bring your A game and have some fun!

Very good class. This professor is professional and expects you to be as well; but he is also a lot of fun. As long as you do the outside projects and turn them in on time you will be fine and enjoy this class. I learned more than I expected I would!

Professor Ellerman is one of the best professors I've ever had. He's strick about the class rules but not unreasonable or unfair. He finds a way to make the class more interesting and encourages class participation. He never is demeaning and is very supportive.

Was not looking forward to the topic, but loved every minute of it. Tied current events into topic, made it understandable. What a gem Ellerman is. Hope he doesn't let it go to his rather unusually large head, must be to keep all that brain in!

I fully expected to be bored to tears when I enrolled in this class, but Prof. Ellerman made it interesting and easy to understand. I had him for two other courses as well, so be warned that you'll get reruns of his humor if you have him for multiple classes. But he's a fun guy and fabulous teacher.

Awesome teacher, he really deserves an award for his teaching. Law is a very boring subject but not when you take his class. He's always got interesting stories. And there is never a dull moment in the class. If your lucky enough to have him as a teacher, you will know how incredible he really is.

Ellerman is the best for RE and Business Law. He may seem a bit scary at first, but he's actually a cool teacher, and tries his best to keep things interesting (especially with boring topics like taxation).

Brings humor and relevance to his lectures. Uses a lot of online video clips. Answers a lot of questions during the class time which can detour the coursework sometimes. Classes are discussion heavy but entertaining and interesting. He speaks from experience when he teaches. He's one of the best professors I've had.

He can be stern and demanding of his students, but braving his glower is definitely worth it. One of the smartest and most accomplished self made people I've met, if it wasn't for him I never would have made it in real estate.

Great teacher

Ellerman is a very likable and good professor. However he missed over 6 class meetings and I don't like Business Law anyway, so this class was rough. The tests are online but he definitely doesn't give you enough time to look anything up during them so make sure you study before hand! HW is online, easy, and 30% of your grade.

He has quickly become one of my favorites. He makes each class fun with stories and jokes. He has online quizzes and tests.(easy to pass) I love that he wants to make the most of people's time.

I thoroughly enjoyed going to class. Lectures were fun and engaging. I learned a lot and always have a good topic to discuss with my husband after class. Pay attention and take notes. Tests are based heavily on materials covered in class.

Prof. Ellerman is a great professor. He makes a class about law really interesting and is good at making sure the concepts are easy to understand. A majority of your grade in the class is from your midterm and final. There is very little homework and the reading is easy. Taking notes in class is very important to be successful.

Take him before he retires! Best Professor! You won't regret taking this class. Just show up and ask questions. I don't enjoy going to school, but I am actually disappointed this class is over.

Professor Ellerman really cares about his students and about the field of Law. If you get a chance to take his classes, I'd highly recommend it because he explains everything thoroughly and makes you understand the material. He is easy to talk to and encourages questions. He his great!! Only two test the whole semester the final and midterm. He is really understanding and really cares about what he teaches. Also there are quizzes but those are really easy and you can retake until you get a 100%. you will definitely get an A

Favorite professor I have had yet. He makes his lectures fun with stories and humor. He maks the topic interesting which helped me retain the information. He is really nice and makes the class easy. I wish I could take more of his classes.

If you would like to take a class with a professor that gives in depth lectures that are clearly communicated and understood, take BUS 340 with Professor Ellerman. He does an excellent job of providing quality information on how our judicial system works in our country and very aptly makes connections between business and law in our country.

Lectures are great, tons of (recent, relatable) videos that are funny. Strict on no hats/gum in classs. Show up & participate b/c there will be questions on his lecture drawings on midtern/final. Don't really need the book. 10-12 easy online quizzes on BVTLab that you can practically take anytime, one midterm (600 pts), and a final (1002 pts).

His class was fun and interesting, and he teaches beyond just the subject. Great class, easy to pass if you go to class and pay attention.

One of the best professors at FLC! I'd recommend taking him in person instead of online. His lectures are the best and he tells the best stories too. We also watch interesting documentaries and sometimes funny videos like SNL to help tie in a certain concept. Quizzes/midterm/final all online and easy to pass. Book is needed to get access code.

I took Ellerman's RE110 online class, and while I have learned a lot, the class was all quizzes, discussions and exams. The quizzes/discussions were once a week, 10 points per. The exams were 20-40 I believe, but the final was 320 points... He graded quickly and the tests were questions straight from the text.

Great professor, funny and always has funny stories. Show up to class and he will tell you about secret questions on the quiz with a funny twist!

Ellerman is a great guy, he's really interesting and has a lot of stories about his time as a lawyer and other things. His lectures are informative and consistent with the class curriculum and I'm motivated to go to every one of his lectures. I only wish that he had the class time to go more in depth with the material.

Prof. Ellerman is an awesome professor! He is very knowledgeable but also very kind and fair. He wants students to learn and goes out of his way to help. Do your work in his class and you will do well.

Prof. Ellerman doesn't bury you in hours and hours of busywork. Instead, he says the material speaks for itself. I bought the textbook on paper, read each chapter start to finish, and took notes on key subjects. This made the quizzes fairly easy. There are some other simple assignments to do that help apply the learned material. I loved this class!

This professor is great! Was able to manage my class schedule and keep track of projects to be completed online with Canvas.

Good professor, I took the 8 week course which is typically fast paced but it was very smooth sailing with this class. One discussion post and two quizzes a week, midterm and final. Would take again.

Super easy class, Ellerman should be a comedian on the side because his stories are great. Attendance is not mandatory but I went to every class because they were really funny and interesting. He's super forgiving with grading and you basically cannot fail this course. 10/10
