real bad, so far the worst prof I had at Baruch. does not teach, does not explain, tells about some real life situations that make no sense whatsoever. 1st midterm avg was 66 - NO curve & cummulative final... Save yourself and your gpa!

midterm grades were tragic (and he said it was like he planned), no curve and final included a mandatory case study which is a pure killer!!! it took me 5 hours at home with answer key to crack it... so what does he expect in the final????

Awful class. He doesn't teach you anything and goes on about his real life examples. His tests are also a killer. The class avg. was a 60 and he doesn't curve the test. It's open book but that won't help you at all. He ruined my GPA.

This Professor is the worst in Baruch. Did not teach anything, and seems content to fail the students. I don't know why some students think he is easy A. IT IS NOT!

He's maybe a good guy but it doesn't mean he's a good teacher. Bored & Hard. Don't recommend him. Open book but doesn't help and test questions are so~~ unclear. unless you really want to ruin your gpa, don't take him.

Well, to answer somebody's question I got an A in the summer class. How and why? No idea. But I still think he is very very close to horrible. Class time was waste of time, no useful explanations, exams hard and tricky. Learned absolutely nothing. And book is horrible too, almost useless.

I took this prof. 'couse he had a good rate on ratemyprof. After the summer session I was very disappointed. He is a hard teacher who doesn't explain anything. I got a high grade on my midterm, and despite his promise to take better score for the final grade, he gave me C+. I studied for this class constantly, but with his choice of quest., no help

Worst professor I've had in Baruch, and I've had quite a few. Confusing and doesn't explain anything well. His handouts are all messy & contains errors. Even his exam questions contained mistakes. Also, it's hard to get in touch with him. If you have to take him, do all textbook problems to prepare for exams. Some questions were from the text.

He is the WORST professor ever. He is coming to Baruch to ruin everyone's GPA. His teaching is very unclear and even though it is open book, his questions just came out from nowhere. He also made mistakes on grading but he won't fix it. BEWARE!!! don't take him unless if you want to ruin your GPA

He does not know what he is doing, do not take him. His lectures are not helpful, and the tests come from the middle of nowhere

He is a useless professor. I do have to admit he does know what management is all about and i don't doubt his experience, but as a professor, anyone could do a better job in teaching.His notes are horrible, the textbook is ridiculous with so many mistakes on it, and tuition is paying to have a professor teach, not paying so you can teach yourself.

God awful. Sloppy notes and doesn't explain much of anything. Brings up questions on exams that he never went over. I doubt he knows what he is doing. Avoid at all costs.

The WORST professor ever!!!! He doesn't know how to teach. His lectures are useless because they are not about class material. He talks way too much about him and his family like the class really gives a s***. Tests are take home and sit down. Doesn't review for them. Careless! Avoid if you can!!

If you want to screw up your GPA, then needless to say take him. Honestly I think he should get fired. He does not have any quality of a teacher. He sucks!!!

This man lacks the quality of a business school professor. He neglects students, except the ass kissers. Pretends to be an easy teacher but at the end he will do anything to lower your grade. Avoid him. You will NOT learn anything about operations mgt, you will however know everything about his family at the end of the term.

His class is too easy, but the grade all depend on how he like you or not. I don't know why like this kind of professor can still in the school. it's that no other teacher can teach. it may be that baruch is falling.

Absolutely agree with all negative comments. The worst "professor", the worst personality. He generously and unfairly gives away C's and doesn't care about people's commitments and future. And, you will never reach him, although it is a part of his job as well. Students paid money to learn all this sh..t.

He is a total snob. Doesn't know how to explain things. He gives grade based on whether he likes you or not. Spends more time talking about his family and showing some stupid videos. Don't take this professor.

I just don't understand how could Baruch hire a piece of garbage like him!!!! Always talks about his freaking family. Makes weird jokes, plays beach boys... and tons of other nonsense. He should get fired. AVOID him if you can.

he decided to not even look at half the entire class' final exams and instead just give them Fs so he could go on vacation early. on the real, i didnt take this course to learn op mgt. i took it to fulfill a requirement. so i can excuse his incompetence as a prof and the 1000 stories about his family/friends but seriously, don't.mess.with.my grade.

Week 1 he says: "you can put the final exams in my mailbox." Week 2: "you all got an F because you weren't supposed to put the exams in my mailbox." Week 3: "i don't have your exams so you must resubmit them." Week 4 (after numerous complaints): "i found the 'missing' exams and will fix your grades... a month from now." (To be continued!)

He really doesn't teach much, just talks about his family and friends. It's true you have to rely on the book heavily. Given half of the class an "F" or "INC" just because he forgot to grade the take home exam. A very irresponsible professor. Just stay away from him!!!

All the negative comments are right on the money. He graded the take home exam using wrong answer keys that didn't even match the questions! Only take him if you already know the material, and check and double check his grading. He is completely inept. Good luck if you have to take him.

While he is a very nice guy, prof Hwong is a terrible teacher. He is not clear in his teaching and expects people to understand everything he says without problems. You will need to teach yourself from the book which in this class is not easy at all. Going to class is useless unless you can understand his teaching. Terrible.

$2200 gone into the drain.How can one learn opn mgmt by seeing the pics/listening to stories of family members ,food that he wants to eat, restaurants he has been, rants, rock music, countless useless videos that run for half the class everyday...

Do not buy the text book. 3 tests, no homework. This man has dementia--he is kind, but is the worst teacher ever. Doesn't answer emails or calls and is never in his office hours. Classes are incomprehensible. I scored and A, but was given a B. Easy-ish, but a waste of MBA time. I can't believe he still has a job---gives Baruch a bad name.

This class is all about self-learning. He is gonna post lecture and homework problems on the blackboard and u have to study on ur own. Class lectures are useless and not helpfull. 3 tests.if you want to do good make sure you study. book is not necessary.

Omg I took him accidentally this semester. I know I would have a hard time with him since i go out n check out the textbook he assign which has nothing to do with his speech. I don't want him to screw up my GPA. Can anybody help me to survive in his Mgt 3121? Can't avoid him cuz it's too late. Help plz!

I am convinced that the only reason he teaches is because his wife is trying to get him out of the house. Class is filled with useless personal stories that are repeated over and over. He misgraded my test by 20 points. Grading is incomprehensible. Avoid if possible. Complete waste of your tuition.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! In no way is he helpful. He will not respond to an email. On the final he had questions that were never taught, and 1 out of 4 that wasn't even on the syllabus. This is a BAD prof. STAY AWAY. He should be fired from teaching. He also spent more time speaking about his family then the subject matter.

HORRIBLE PROFESSOR! STAY AWAY! No need to come to class basically self-learning type of class...all he does is tells stories...all three tests are 30% and 10% attendance which he doesn't even take! all tests are math problems basically.

If you're the self learning type then maybe this prof is for you. He doesn't take attendance and he does't use a textbook. He types out his lectures. 2 exams and 1 final. The final is split into a take home portion and in class portion. Open book exams but problems are challenging. He doesn't provide much help. BORING class. I'd avoid taking him.

Avoid professor if possible!! He doesn't teach, only talks about stories and shows some videos. Doesn't use textbook - posts lectures that he discusses topics - basically SELF LEARNING. 2 exams and 1 final (final is take home & in class) - open book.

3 Exams, Final is 50% take home. Very hard and boring. He is a "nice" guy but as a prof he is not the best. He is a strikt grader. Avoid if possible!

very very boring professor and very very boring class,tough grader,and all the tests are NOT multiple choise questions!! 80% of the class fell sleep and he makes the easy class way too complicated...avoid him by any ways you can!

This guy is the perfect example of a professor who knows everything about his craft and nothing about teaching. He teaches the material as if it's supposed to be common sense or as if it's some kind of review class. He puts more effort into his stories than actual teaching. He should just work in his field and stay out of the classrooms.

Never take him again!!! very irresponsible for grading,3 open-book exams and one take-home final. Even though you get good grades on all exams, don't expect to get A, because his grading never corresponds to your average grade, but only to your worst!

YOU HAVE TO AVOID THIS GUY. I gotta admit he is knowledgeable, but is a terrible teacher. He needs to stay out of colleg. He is unfair, irrespons and his grading criteria is BS. You won't get what you deserve if you are not in his favorite list. DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY'S CLASS if you care about your GPA.

Professor made us a buy a $100 textbook and then tells us 2 weeks into the semester we can just buy a used version. Constantly goes off topic. I remember learning more about his personal life than I do about service ops mgmt. Exams were open book. Only reason I got a B+. Avoid.
