Aweseome Teacher. You will feel loved after taking this class. There are a few boring lectures, though he makes up for it. If you pay attention, his class is extrememly easy!!

This guy is super funny. I had no idea what was being taught in the class but still pulled off a B. On the second midterm all you have to do is take notes and you'll pretty much get a 100%. Just show up and you'll do fine.

One of the greatest teachers at GWC. Very intelligent and wants his students to do well. Has a great grading system and he tells you what to study for on Midtems and Quizes. He makes lectures intresting and relates things to daily life. You can bomb your first test and still get an A... Take this class. You will do well

Mr Becker was extremely helpful by providing detailed information or EXACTLY what he would be testing you on. Sometimes he would lecture the night of the quizzes, but he would go over the quiz in detail before taking it. I'm not interested in this subject AT ALL, but he made this course very simple and pretty insteresting.

Mr. Becker is one of the best teachers at GWC. It is very easy to get an A in his class. He keeps you very interested in what he talking about. Most of the time, he gives you the answers for the little quizzes right before the test. You just have to listen. This was by far the easiest class I have ever taken at GWC.

Even though his lectures are kinda confusing and all over the place, it will still an easy class overall. He pretty much gives you the answers to the quiz right before you take it. I don't remember doing much work at home. Midterm and Final are pretty easy too. Nobody really knew what he was lecturing but a lot seem to pass his class with A or B.

This guy should just quit teaching and be a comedian cuz he's hilarious. Anyways, he's a good teacher, he helps you out A LOT when it comes to his quizzes and tests.

He teaches a hard class, but he's extremely helpful. Another teacher who always makes sure his students pass. He told me Arnold Schwartzeneger was his cousin.

Hands down Becker is the man! This guy is so funny and is very knowledgeable. He makes hilarious jokes and is borderline offensive. But he is my type of humor so I loved him. He reviews the test questions right before making it quite easy. Highly recommend this teacher. Easy A

My gilfriend and I both took Becker for Poly Sci 180 and 185. He is a character. We actually enjoyed going to his lectures. His jokes are funny. Plus my girl and I both got A's in both of his classes and I had no interest in politics before taking his class. I would highly reccomend. Shoot I would take him again if he taught upper level courses

He's extremely funny and listening to him talk is like watching the most blunt and honest news channel in the world. He's well-spoken but in a very entertaining way, too. If you ask questions, he'll answer them. Sometimes makes biased comments but as a pol. sci. professor, I can understand. Very interesting person. lol

Pol. Science is 1 of the Most depressing subjects to teach. but he made it really FUN. He's the funniest professor iv'e ever taken and before every test, he will go over every answer. this class is super easy. WHAT UP BECKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His class was super easy and fun. I got an A. There are a couple of in-class essays. And a lot of quizzes, but even if you didn't study, he always goes over them right before. There isn't a way that you can't pass his class without an A. Totally recommend this professor.

Easy class if u attend & do the work. Not the type of professor that wants u to memorize everything, he wants u to learn! Definitely has his own point of view & doesn't hide it. Sarcastic and passionate about issues. (everyone laughed a lot) Ideologies to the left, so if you can't handle it-good luck! but then most all profs are to the left :)

He is super into the subject and liberal. Uses humor to get everyone involved and interested. Enjoyed his class.

He makes poli sci entertaining & easy to learn. I enjoyed his class considering I never really cared much for Poli Sci before. He gives you all the material you need to know for the exams, if you show up and take all the quizzes you should be pretty successful. If you're going to take Poli Sci, I highly recommend him.

Becker is a pretty chill guy. His lectures, however, tend to be lengthy and his powerpoints only pertain to what he's actually talking about half of the time. On quiz days, be sure to pay attention bc he tells you all the answers! Basically if you pay attention before quizzes/tests you'll do fine. The book is totally unnecessary too no need for it.

I am currently in Professor Becker's class and I think he's the coolest teacher ever. Yes his classes are sometimes boring but he's very patient and yes gives hints about the answer to the test but doesn't give you the answers. Take him really easy class, easiest Political Class you'll ever take. :)

He talks a lot, A LOT! However tests and quizzes are very easy! He gives a lot of hints and review before each quiz/test. Easy, but very boring.

Professor Becker is pretty cool. He makes passing his class easy, because he puts all the answers on his powerpoint. His powerpoint style is confusing but study it anyway if you want to pass the class. Attendance is important, but he's pretty cool about letting students makeup quizzes. Overall, I liked him.

I don't understand why the man got such bad ratings. I thought he was good. Just record his lectures and listen to them. You'll pass his class.

I was really confused in this class in the beginning, his power points don't make sense on their own you have to go to class, but if I was confused I would just talk to him after class and he was really helpful. You don't even need to buy the textbook, he just teaches you from the power points. i thought he was entertaining

One of the most entertaining and educational classes I've taken in a long time. I really appreciated his powerpoints and test reviews. It was clearly on of the best classes offered at GWC.

He is a very intelligent individual and has a nice sense of humor. He is also very passionate about what he teaches. The class is very entertaining and is a well rounded for people who don't care about politics. I got an A, even though it was difficult.

easiest class at golden west, seriously!! he gives you 5 quizzes during the semester (he lets you know when they are) & reviews the material right before you take it!! midterm was an essay and final was a breeze. just show up each class, he makes it american government incredibly fun and easy!! take his class!!

Professor Becker's class was very interesting. His Quizzes are 10 pts each and he reviews beforehand. His finals are very clear and lectures are fun and amusing. I highly recommend his class!

Don't buy the book, you won't need it. Lectures aren't mandatory, but I suggest you attend, 100% worth it. Tests are really easy, just do know the study guides and attend review dates. Final was a piece of a cake. Definitely recommend him.

Professor Becker is the best professor at Golden West! I'm taking his class this semester and very pleased. He talks about what's going on in the world which a lot of professors don't and that's how he makes the class interesting.

I highly recommend this professor. I wish he taught more classes on campus. He is one of my favorite GWC instructors on campus. He is the first instructor who actually after his lecture to talk to students and always answers my emails if I have questions regarding the materials. Becker rocks!

You just sit there and take notes while listening to his lectures. He is a very friendly person and would always make you laugh. The quizzes are taken online and at home while the Mid-term and finals are taken in the class. He is not very hard at all. He curves and gives you a study guide and the test is very easy and straightforward.

Prof Becker is amazing. He really cares about his students. He makes time after class to go over his lecture and offers a review session during his own time. I was worried about passing this subject, so far I have an A. I recommend this class plus hes really entertaining and does impressions which are funny.

Great Prof! I went to mmmmaybe two lectures, (not kidding) and got an A. Just do the study guides that he posts online and you're GOLDEN. They're multi choice, answers are in the text. You can ace every quiz by flipping thru your study guide. Quiz10 questions each. Easy. If u somehow manage to bomb those (how u could, I don't know), do Xtra cred!

Wonderful professor, was able to take the online course during the summer. The workload was perfect as I was able to work and not be too overwhelmed with the course work.

If you do the work, you'll pass. No quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 paper (which is available for you the beginning of the semester), and the final. Discussions throughout the semester to stay connected with him and classmates. Pretty stand up guy and ver y approachable. Take him if you need this class and thank me later :)
