He's a little hard to understand. He's really nice , but he'll pass you if you show him that your trying to pass. DO the homework, if eveything is wrong oh well, to him you tried he'll give you points anyway.

I took this professor as for an online course...He is not that bad...you just have to make sure to read the lecture notes...he gives 3 HWs per semester but it is alot of work. His tests are pretty difficult also...it is very tricky

THE PROFFESOR IS NOT EVEN THAT HARD.He is very good. In the class i learned many new things and had a good experience. 3 homeworks in the semester is not even that bad. Students are just lazy.

Easy class in school....just read slides...don't buy his book that he wrote..never used it..just slides on blackboard.

Prof Dowlah is great.He uses slides and explain whats on the slides.Hes very clear.Two homeworks for the entire semester is not bad at all.He basically gives everyone an "A" for their homeworks.His tests are all multiple choice and he gives curves.Take him you wount regret it.

His exams are difficult, but if you participate and show you care he will a better grade than expected.

1 Midterm 1 Final. He doesn't cover topics that were on the midterm in his final. One of the most intuitive and down to earth professors I have known. Dont buy the book. You don't need it.

Did micro as a online. tuff as hell! but there were times when blackboard was down so that bought you a little time. YOU WILL NEED THE BOOK TO POST ON THE BOARD. His slides will not be enough. 2 midterms and lots of homework. do not do online if you have never done macro inclass room or vice versa. some principles are repeat. some will confuse the

Very easy class does not give a lot of work. Only 3 homeworks for the whole class and 3 test with the final included. He also drops the lowest grade of the three.The only bad thing about this professor is it might be hard to understand him.

If your serious about your education, this is the professor for you. If not, don't waste his nor your time. You can gain a lot of practical knowledge applicable to everyday life from Dr. D. but you have to be focused and disciplined to realize it. He sprinkles his lectures with a good sense of humor which makes the class enjoyable. 2 Thumbs up!!!

I loved his class & earned my A- easily. Only three homework assignments per semester & the exams were straight from his notes. he uses powerpoint for his lectures & is very thought provoking. Professor Dollah is no game when it comes to economics. From his class you get a better understanding of how government and monetary polices effects the economy. His class is very challenging but, if you want an easy A, this is not the class for you.

He is a very responsible person and explains the concept very clearly and systemically. Following his rule and suggestion, you will get a very compentent return on his class

He is nice and has a sense of humor. No need to buy the textbook, used powerpoint for lectures. 2 assignments worth 50points each, do them because they are basically study guides for midterm and final. Ask questions, get points for participation. If you study, you will do well but pay attention. He does not reward for laziness.

I took the the class in Spring 2015, it was a three-hour class, There weere 90 students. Prrof Dowlah was great professor. He knows about world economy and his lecture was great. He used PowerPoint slides and also explained everything on Blackboard. He is probably the best professor in the college.

Dr. Dowlah is a great professor, great scholar. Every word will stimulate you. If you want to learn something take his class. If you don't want to learn, and want an easy class, this is not your class. I am glad that I took his class.

I took macro class with Dr. Dowlah in Spring semester 2015. I got an A. I thoughtI will get A-. I think he goes extra miles to help good students. If you are a good student youwill like his class. He is very fair, and always willing to elp students. If you are not good student, looking for easy grade, he is not for you.

Sit in the front of the class, ask for help, pay attention. He's very knowledgable on the subject. Economics is no joke. It will be a lot harder than you expect, but as long as you go home after every class and go over the material you will be fine. You will not get a good grade from just going to the lecture without studying. STUDY & youll get it.

He is a great scholar. and a great professor. If you want to learn something for life, take his class. I see many said bad things about him, perhaps these students failed in his class. Good students should rate this professor more for balancing the rating.

It was fun to take his online class. His syllabus explains everything in great details. He alway s answers questions promptly, and he is always helpful. His lectures are excellent. i had no complaints. You will be happy to take his class. Just work little hard. This is Economics, not history, class.

Just the best professor you can have in this college. Take his class, you will learn something that you will never forget. Don't fall for professors who give you easy grade. Take one class, this one, if you want learn something.

Do well on the test and do homework. U should be fine. I found that studying from the text book makes it easier to pass the test, rather than just studying notes. I'd probably ignore his personal comments on politics and religion. Can be offensive at times, but if u have tough skin n focus on the school work alone. You'll do well.

Professor Dowlah is the best--his lectures are stimulating. He knows economics of the world. Homeworks are good. If uou do homework good, you will do good in the exams. Take his class, if you want to learn something in life. If you work hard, you will get good grades.

This is the best teacher I had in this colege. Dr. Dowlah is always punctual--comes to the class in time. His lectures are the best. Also, his powerpoint slides are available on Blackboard--you can read those at any time. Quizzes are announced a week before. No surprises--always clear about grades and scores. This is the best professor.

He is a good teacher as he explains the material well and will help you if asked. He gives three quizzes and drops the lowest, two homeworks, and two exams which are the midterm and the final. He also has strong opinions you will likely disagree with but the more work you put into class, the more likely you"ll do well.

Tests are tough in his c lass, but I took two classes with Dr. Dowlah, and got As. I know some students are saying bad things about him. If you work hard, this is a very good professor. If you are a balm, he is not. Instead of blaming him why not look for a easy grader. There are many professors in the college.

I would say Professor Dowlah is a very god professor. He is a real gentleman, and he cares about hard work. If you work hard, you will be rewarded. He is not very easy professor, however. you have to work hard.

He is very funny and direct, so if you like realistic sarcasm your going to love him. I got an A by making flashcards of all the terms and equations. Go through your notes and you will do very well. I did hear that may people did not do well, i guess they did not review their notes. He is straight forward

I barely attended class and received a grade I'm very satisfied with. However I honestly don't believe he is that good of a professor I only passed by getting tutored by another Economics Professor from Hostess College.

Excellent Professor and provides REAL LIFE scenarios. Some may not get his jokes because he is very direct with sarcasm on how presidents destroyed the economy at the same time teaches the fundamentals in how economy is easily correctable without corruption. I would definately takes his other classes as he is full of knowledge and tests are easy

I heard not so good comments about the professor. But I always found him very helpful, he gave me extra time to explain things after the class, and in his office. He knows the subject very well, he is good scholar. My grade was not good, because I was working hard for other classes. I think you should take his class, if you want to learn better.

He is good professor if you are good student, but demands good work and regular class attendance .

Prof. Dowlah is a good teacher. he expects students to understand everything in the class. I am taking Micro with him--it is hard to pass the class without atttending the class regularly. If you don't want to attend classes regualrly, try to take class with others.

Those students who fail in the class, they always say bad things about professors. Don't listen to them. I took two classes with Prof. Dowlah--he is a nice gentleman, and if you work hard, you will get good grade. He is very, very neutral, and very very friendly.

Professor Dowlah is really a nice professor. He cares a lot about students. Before an exam, he would give homework of exactly what will be on the test and will also give tips on what to study. Not a tough grader either.

Prof. Dowlah is well respected and is very educated in his field. You have to show up class and complete the assigned coursework, otherwise, you will fall too far behind. He gives quizzes that are closely related to the midterm and final exam. Study well and practice the concepts taught throughout the semester and you should be fine.

Teaches in a way that really allows you to retain the new information.
