I took one class with him. He is awesome, he helps students with extra credit. As long as You do the study questions and homeworks, you can get a good grade.
Professor Crammer is by far on of the best professors I've ever had! He makes politics fun, and is hilarious! His term paper prompt was really confusing, but if you start on it the moment you get the assignment you will be fine. There is 1-2 pieces of homework from the textbook, but they were easy and could be finished in 30-45 minutes.
Professor Crammer is the best professor I've had at SCC. I'm really not that interested in politics, but he made the class fun. I would definitely take him again!
This was one of my favorite classes! His lectures are super interesting and he does a great job explaining ideas and concepts. The book is used for homework assignments that aren't too hard. As long as you put in some effort, it's very easy to pass. He also gives lots of extra credit opportunities.
Cale is great! He is new at SCC, but really knows his stuff. He'll do everything he can to help you do well in the class. He offers lots of extra credit opportunities and if you do the work, it should be an easy A. He also doesn't force his personal opinions on you, unlike other professors. I would take him again.
Took professor Cale's first online political science class in Winter Intersession 2017. Great class, wasn't too hard. Just a good amount of youtube lectures to watch and small quizzes along with some reading and study questions to do.
I just finished taking his course online. There were weekly quizzes and discussion posts, but they were easy. He does assign a good amount of work, but if you do the work, its a pretty easy A. Course was interesting too. Didn't really feel like a online class and he seems to really care. Glad a took him.
Took his Political Science 101 Class. Awesome teacher, genuinely loves the subject and makes the class enjoyable. Gave us extra credit just for going over tests with him after class. Definitely recommend taking his class.
Cale! was my favorite teachers I've taken so far. Always made politics something id look forward too.
Took Cale for the first 8 weeks of spring and really enjoyed the class. It wasn't too difficult, but there were weekly assignments. Stay on top of things! He communicates a lot, which I liked and the course was organized well and was easy to follow. I'm taking him again for POLT 201! Would recommend!
First is first, he is hot! He is well spoken, could sit and watch him all day! Super articulate! He is extremely educated in this field! You need the book guys, but it is worth it! He is worth it... His lectures are easy to follow and he makes his class a safe environment to share your thoughts on politics!
Incredibly passionate about his field, he was able to spark an interest in politics for someone who had abhorred the idea of talking about it before.
The class was organized well and easy to follow. He posts online lectures and communicates a lot. You definitely can't put off doing the work, but if you do it, the course is pretty easy. He makes the class interesting and seems super nice.
Super easy class, great professors. Class consisted of lectures and group work. I had to miss class for two weeks and he was flexible with it. Was able to still get an A in the class. Only thing I would say is to pay attention during the reviews. The test are fairly easy so long as you study and pay attention in class
Great professor!!Took his 4week online course and was scared it will be too fast or too disconnected. Was very responsive to emails most of the time within a few hours. Was very helpful throughout the course and gave very positive feedback. Very fair and unbiased especially as this is politics. Very open classroom discussions where all sides matter
amazing prof! took his online class this summer and he made it VERY easy to follow! definitely recommend
Professor Crammer's class is how all classes should be! Tests clearly reflect what was discussed in lectures so if you are present, pay attention, and study, easy A. As far as projects go, if you demonstrate a good understanding of the topic and put forth effort, easy A. Criteria is easy to learn, overall great professor and class!
He makes political scenice easy to understand. He is an easy grader even though he makes it sound like hes going to be a tough grader. There is a group project where you have to present. Overall, the class is easy.
You can tell he's very passionate about politics, it's very moving, he makes class very fun. he's probably the best professor I've ever had in my many years in college. he doesn't take roll but his lectures are basically what's on the exams and assignments, so I wouldn't miss more than a few. barely used the textbook, my only complaint. he's amazin
Such a great professor who actually knows how to teach the subject. He makes politics fun and easier to understand. No attendance it taken, but don't miss class because tests are all lecture based. Always available during office hours, one major group project. Book isn't really necessary.
I totally recommend taking any class with him
Political science is something a lot of people don't enjoy, but Professor Crammer makes it better. You can tell he puts in so much effort into his lectures and prepares for us. He is accessible outside of class and I have nothing but good things to say about him. One of the best professors I've had in SCC.
Professor Crammer has such a passion for what he teaches, and it really shows through his lectures and assignments. He doesn't reveal his political stance to his students so you feel really free to express your opinions. His assignments are easy and his tests are a combination of multiple choice, essay, short answer, and matching. Fairly easy class
Took his class online and it was fantastic, he breaks up all the sections equally, gives links for his lectures on youtube and then gives his own notes that break down each section, 3 papers and if show you know the material he'll give you a good grade, you need the book every now and again, but overall great class and he loves what he teaches
Crammer is a really good professor. I had a really hard time getting into Political Science, because it's personally just not for me, but he does a great job at explaining the material and breaking it down for people. The only thing i didn't like was how often we had to get into groups.
Cale is the best professor I have had at SCC! He really knows his stuff and is passionate. His lectures are amazing! His exams are pretty easy if you follow the study guide. The assignments are also pretty easy if you want to do well. I personally hate politics, but he made the course enjoyable. Would recommend!
He is by far my favorite teacher I've had to far at this school. He is clear on his standards, but is also willing to work with you if needed. He cares a lot about his students and keeps his class organized so that you know what is expected.
I never do these but Professor Crammer is the best Political Science Professor I have had in a long time. I am currently in three Political Science classes, and really wish I took him for all of them. He gives great audio feedback on every paper, I learned a lot, and he is just an awesome Professor all around.
This class is too much work for a 4 week summer course. Lengthy discussion boards, 4-7 page paper, and free response exams that are way too long (about 10+ questions that requires paragraph answers). On one of the exams, he wanted a 5 paragraph response. Seriously? This is a 100 course. Relax. Overall, OK, but boring and time consuming. Don't take.
Ive taken a couple online GE courses and this one was by far the best. Exams are writing based, but pretty easy. Gives good feedback on papers and assignments. Politics is not really my thing, but the course was interesting and an easy A if you put in the effort. Would definitely recommend.
He's a very observant professor and it shows that he loves what he does, he made it very easy to grasp the material and pass
Crammer was one of the nicest professors I have ever had. Great teacher. You can tell he cares and is interested in teaching and interacting with the students. Allows cheat sheets on all 4 tests and had one easy group project. Was a mandatory class I could care less about but ended up being one of my favorites. He's easy-going, smart, and funny.
Took him over a 4 week summer course. Pretty easy to get an A in the class as long as you put in the work. 4 discussion boards per week, along with 1 exam and a final 4-7 papers. Make sure you're extremely detailed on the exams since they're all free response questions. (Roughly 10 questions).
Took his 4-week online political science 101 class, and it was the best online class I've ever taken! I was worried that the pace would be too fast, but he made it super easy, straightforward, and is clear on what he expects! Even travelling cross-country while taking this class was no issue. I absolutely would recommend taking him as a professor!
Crammer was a great teacher very clear on his lectures and what would be on the test he is a fair grader and grades based on opinion also lets u use a flash card to write anything you want for tests gives extra credit he is very funny also loved his class and recommend you take itt !!
Crammer is an all around great guy. However, he is a harsh grader, not clear on what he wants. You have to pay attention to lectures to pass, he moves fast. A few opportunists to get extra credit. Three tests, one paper that was pretty hard to write and I'm good at papers, one group project, and one homework assignment aside from the reading.
Amazing Class! I did not like politics but this teacher made me like it. He demonstrates an accurate knowledge of Politics. If you do all the homework, and pay attention to the lectures, you will get an A. He even have video classes on Canvas that you can watch if you miss a class. He is a very nice professor, one of the bests I have ever had!
Professor Crammer understands that not everyone is a political science major and teaches his class, grades papers, and creates assignments with that in mind. I took this class online, however he was available on campus for any needed help. There were times when he gave us extra credit for usual assignments that were around the time of term papers.
He's amazing! He explains things very thoroughly and the videos he sets up online HELP SO MUCH! Especially when studying for tests! I enjoyed going to his lectures because unlike other professors that fill their slides with a bunch of information that can be hard to grasp all at once, his power points are simple and to the point with some humor!
This was by far the best online course I have ever taken. I took Cale's class over intersession for 4 weeks and expected 4 weeks of hell, but instead I got the best of the best. The class is very well structured with clear and well-worded video lectures. The discussions were very engaging as well as the book assignments. 10/10 professor!
Great teacher. Definitely would take again
Best PoliSci professor Ive had so far! He gives great feedback and offers additional help if you need him. His passion is shown through his lectures, and every topic was made interesting! Id recommend him to any students looking for a political science course to take.
This guy was born to be a teacher! He is so clear in everything he teaches, his slideshows are awesome. He is funny and a great professor.
Professor Crammer is an amazing professor. I don't really enjoy government classes, but his attitude towards the subject and towards his students really made me enjoy this class. I would 100% take another class with him.
Great Professor! Has very good info and does a great job explaining certain policies and issues relating to the subject! He's very organized, online and in the classroom and has many of his resources online if you missed a class. My only complaint is the lack of homework, tests basically dictate your grade.
TOUGH GRADER
If you do the work and put in the effort, this class is a breeze. Weekly discussions and quizzes. Easy. The midterm and final are written exams, so they are kind of time consuming. And there is a short paper. Cale gives great feedback and you can tell that he cares about his students. Would take again!
I took his 4 week class, it was the best online class I've taken. He has everything clearly posted so you know exactly what is expected. He does weekly video updates & gives feedback daily. The work was manageable & you can easily get ahead in the course. Although it's a 4 week class, it was easier than some semester long classes. Best professor!
This was by far the best online class I have taken! Course was well organized and you can tell Professor Cale cares a lot about his students. The discussions were by far the best part. Exams were simple and straightforward. Watch his videos! 2 papers but they were really easy. I didnt think I would like this course, but I ended up loving it!
I took my first ever college class with Professor Crammer. I was beyond satisfied and definitely recommend to take at least one course with him at SCC. He responds to emails very quick and is very helpful if you have any questions. Out of all my teachers, he is by far my favorite teacher!
I consider Cale a mentor now. He's by far the best professor I have ever had. He really understands how to get the most out of you in every course hes taught. I wish he taught at the university level because I would definitely take his classes as often as possible. I'm gonna miss you Cale!!!
Best professor I've ever had. 11/10 would recommend taking a class with him. I've returned to take classes that I wasn't even interested in after seeing that he was teaching them, that's how amazing of a professor he is.
You get out what you put in, grading and informational. If you take an in classroom course and need to miss a day he has online videos to help you catch up! He has thought through every frustration students may have and has worked to help ease the stress of the class.
I took Cale's class to fill a requirement, but would seriously consider taking more with him because he's an amazing professor! This class challenged my thinking and helped me open my mind to opposing views. You can tell how passionate he is about politics. He is such a kind man and always makes sure any questions or concerns you have are answered.
Prof. Crammer is great! I took his 4-week intersession class. His lectures/instructions were clear and easy to understand. When I needed help with the course paper, he was quick to set up a call with me and answer my questions. He genuinely cares for his students. What could've been a nightmare was a pleasant learning experience! Just do the work!
Professor Crammer was a phenomenal teacher. One of the nicest guys you can learn from. Gives you ample opportunity to pass and overall makes the course super fun.
The best professor ever. Professor Cale made his lectures understandable and short. He is very flexible and understanding with his students recommend him 10/10.
Such a nice professor! Just the usual weekly discussions and readings. The midterm and final are basically essays and he is very caring about the students. It is a very interesting and fun class to take! He always sent me feedback videos of himself actually speaking to me and giving me feedback on my writing. Pretty cool!
I have one major point that I want to make clear, he is quite possibly the most amazing professor I have ever encountered. His "mini-lectures" don't put you to sleep, he is caring and understands, heck.. he gave us 50% for just doing the assignments. If I were to write about every positive thing, I would need to make at least 2 other posts.
Good professor. He gives feedback on everything and isnt a tough grader. Do the assignments and watch the lectures and you will be good. Has four exams, one given every 4 weeks. Exams consist of answering questions about the material (easy). Has multiple choice quizzes every two weeks for two chapters combined. Very caring and respectful.
Hes so nice. He cares about if youre available to do work he kept in mind things that could keep us from doing the class work. During this pandemic hes been really thoughtful and understanding.
Hands Down one of the best professors. Professor Crammer is so understanding and caring about his students. 1 Discussion every week and a Test about every 2 weeks, and 1 essay consisting of 5 essay questions . Work hard and youll receive and A in this class theres also a lot of opportunities for extra credit do them all.
I learned so much in this class! I cannot wait to take more of Cales classes. Put the time in and do the work and you will get a good grade. Its worth it because you will learn a lot. I am 14 and since the professor was so clear on his expectations, the class was very easy to manage. I recommend this to anyone who wants to actually learn.
The course is very easy, just watch the lectures, do the reading, make quizlets, and you should be fine! He is a very caring Professor and makes Political Science very interesting and relevant to your life. You can tell he is passionate about it, I 100% recommend him! :)
Professor Crammer is an all around great professor. He cares for all his students and gives everyone many opportunities to succeed. There are extra credit opportunities and I highly suggest going to the optional zoom lectures. There are some great conversations and they make the quizzes and tests much more understandable. Great class overall!
This was definitely one of my favorite classes. All you have to do for the online is watch his lectures and take notes using the templates and you won't need the book. It says required but I didn't even use it once. The tests are fairly easy, just make sure to give a lot of detail. There are also short discussions once a week. 10/10 would recommend
Great Professor! I took this class over intersession and quarantine, so it was all online. He gave audio responses on all test and our paper which were extremely helpful. The test were not too difficult it was short answer questions given at the beginning of the week, and we had till Sunday to turn it in. Overall great experience, would recommend!!
Professor Crammer was amazing! I took his POLT101 interterm class and I would've taken it 100x over!
He is legit the nicest professor and person I have met. He made my semester the most enjoyable and made an impact on my life. Excellent feedback on everything and truly wants people to succeed in class and life. I'll remember him when I graduate, no doubt. Cale, if you ever see this, thank you for doing what you do.
Due to COVID, he graded us mostly on the midterm, Final and course paper, all were free response. There were weekly quizzes/discussions, that aren't worth that much of your grade, but still do them! I feel that if you are an active participant in the class he will take that into consideration when grading and bump you up to the next letter grade.
Prof. C provides engaging discussions, rich lectures, and excellent course content. Interesting class and it is ok to come in with no previous knowledge or opinions on American politics. Professor is awesome. Keep an open mind, absorb tons, and work for it. Mid term and final consisted of answering eight questions via analysis- it was work!
Prof. Crammer puts a lot of time and effort into his courses. I have had him for three classes and would take more if I were not transferring next year. He knows the materials inside and out and actively engages with students during class time. He asks questions that require original thought that go beyond simply restating the textbook materials.
Great Professor, really cares about his students and if they pass! Gives great feedback and super super nice. Definitely take his classes if youre able too!
Prof. Crammer is a 10/10 recommended professor. You can tell he knows what he's doing and how to attract an audience. He makes people WANT to participate in lectures and he is so organized and easy to follow, you can tell he likes what he does. There are no blind sides in the tests and quizzes, it's exactly what he teaches in lecture.
Amazing professor, one of my favorites. Not a lot of homework at all, three main grades (midterm, essay, final) he gives the questions on the midterm and the final beforehand. Super informative / clear grading policy. Definitely take this class if you need political science, amazing teacher!!! 100000/10.
Top 2 professors ever. Easy extra credit, short mini lectures, and great feedback. Grades within a day usually. No required tests for the 4-week course.
Great professor, easy extra credit, makes my least favorite subject fun, and has really helpful video lectures. I took the 4-week online class.
Took his Introduction to PS during intersession and his class is an easy A if you put in the effort. He offers a good amount of extra credit throughout the course, responds very quickly, and helps to the best of his abilities. He had recorded lectures and they were all very straightforward. Take him!!!
This class was in person, but I never went to class. As long as you are a decent writer and have common sense, you can pass. He gives you all 14 possible short answer questions for the midterm and final a week before. Then the test will be 5 of those questions. You can also bring a cheat sheet, so there's no reason to not pass.
Cale has to be one of the coolest professors I've ever had. He treats his students like adults and always makes time after class to talk to us. Although the lectures can get a little repetitive, it is a very fun and interesting class. The most difficult part of the class are the essays, and those aren't even that bad. Make sure you read!
I took his summer course which consisted of a midterm, a paper, a final, and weekly discussions and quizzes. His class was pretty decent. He is very helpful and gives helpful advice on your work. He's a pretty tough grader, but he still makes it possible for you to pass his class.
Professor Crammer presented politics from an unbiased standpoint, and made it really easy to want to get involved. He assigns a lot of reading each night, and if you don't stay on top of it things can become hard. He wants you to succeed, just make sure you participate. The final also had a 2 sided cheat sheet, which helped tremendously.
I took the 4 week intersession course and I loved taking his class. Very organized and straight forward. He says you need the textbook but I finished with a 95 and only watched his lecture videos. Videos are very detailed and he goes beyond what the textbook says. He makes it easy to understand and his quizzes and exams are based off of his videos.
W Teacher overall! He is very knowledgeable, has a subtle sense of humor, grades very fair, and makes it clear what he is looking for. Taken multiple classes with him and honestly have not regretted it, especially because his advice is priceless.
He's very passionate about his subject and is a lenient professor. The only issue I found was that the course took more time from me than expected due to having to do the weekly quizzes as they seemed unnecessary. Other than that, his online lectures are great, he responds quickly, and he's also part of PTK chapter staff! I would take him again.
I really liked Cale! He's a strong lecturer and assigns a lot of reading, so if that works for you he's great.
overall a great guy and he knows what he is talking about
I took Crammer over Spring Intersession so maybe that's why I felt this class was so difficult but it definitely didn't feel like an introduction class. He definitely requires you to have critical thinking skills when it comes to his assignments/essays. The only reason I got an A in the class was because of the extra credit.
Easy course. Seems to care. One of the better courses I have taken at SCC which isn't saying much. Would recommend.
One of the best Professors I've ever taken. Gives many extra credit opportunities and is very engaging with everyone. He truly cares about the students and is very passionate about his class. 10/10 Professor
By far one of the best professors. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and his lectures are very helpful and clear. I would highly recommend him to anyone who's looking to take Political Science.
This wasn't an easy class personally as I have never taken a political science course before, but Professor Crammer was always clear on his instructions. He gives a lot of extra credit throughout the semester so that is what really helped boost my grade.
Honestly, I did the bare minimum and passed with a B. As long as you take advantage of the extra credit opportunities and pay attention to lectures you'll be fine.
Super easy course. I got over 100% in his class because he offers so much extra credit. He hides them, but all you have to do is quickly run through his lessons or watch his update videos. Generally nice professor. Crammer gives lots of feedback and seems like he cares. Good experience and easy A.
Prof Crammer is a great professor. You will enjoy his recorded lectures. You need to have the text book .Although his lectures are fair and balanced the text book is a biased one . I am surprised how he selected a very liberally biased book like this one. All in all an excellent class to take.
Great professor! He has very clear grading criteria and gives detailed feedback on assignments for you to improve. Very lecture and textbook reading heavy but if you put in the work, you should have no problem earning an A in the class.
Professor Crammer was awesome and I love how he really cares about the quality of his teaching and how we wants to keep his students engaged and always learning. He truly wants everyone to learn and is super willing to help. I took this course online in a 4 week session and it was very manageable on top of working full time. Great class overall!
Professor Crammer is definitely one of my favorite teachers. He puts in enormous effort with his online lectures and slides to give us a better understanding of what we are reading. One thing to note in this class is that if you don't read the textbook he provides, it will be much harder to get an A in his class. He also gives a lot of extra credit
Most of class is a group discussion where he lectures about specific points and asks you questions. You will have to read a new piece of media every class. Assignments do not have clear instructions- but it's because he's looking for broad interpretation that differs between students instead of 40 essays saying the same thing.
Mid, as long as you know how to take notes and write an essay you will do well.
Class is simple and straightforward. 4 discussions, 4 exams and 4 essays. The exams are 100% based on the book and his lectures. You can get away with just reading the book. Essays are short and he gives detailed feedback. Overall, stress free and easy.
I hated the work at first, but Crammer does a great job of making sure you understand political science, and makes it really interesting. Dense readings, but he almost works as a translator in class. Would take again.
The best professor I've ever had. He does not make you pay for TB or do lots of hw. He is an excellent lecturer and explains things really well and interestingly. He makes sure people learn core concepts as opposed to throwing tons of facts. Grades depend on a midterm, final, and 2 papers, but the way he structures his tests makes them low stress!
"He is an amazing professor. I took his class because I was interested in politics and considered majoring in it. He is unequivocal in his lectures and wants you to pass the class. He allowed us to bring a cheat sheet for an exam."
His lectures are great and his grading is very reasonable. He is the best at explaining things! He gives four exams and 3 essays (+ discussions that are super easy and graded basically on completion), and he drops the lowest of each, which is amazing and takes the pressure away.
Take his course. His lectures were amazing; he is so passionate and knowledgable about poli sci. His finals were short essays and he is an easy grader. He also offers ec if you go to the writing center. Super cool guy. Always positive.
Really nice guy! his lectures are really interesting and they're never boring at all. Exams are pretty easy just go over the review videos and textbook. Gives great feedback on essays and overall you can tell he's there to help you.
Second time having him and he is overall an amazing professor. The lectures are very well organized and easy to understand. Highly recommend for anyone that is taking POLT classes.
Professor Crammer is a great lecturer who makes the material engaging. The workload is manageable if you stay on top of the readings. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for exam prep.
If you're considering taking any POLT classes at SCC take it with Crammer! Lectures are fun and simple. If you ever feel like you're falling behind, the reading is easy to catch up with. His style of teaching is how all polisci professors should teach. No bias towards any political party, pure neutrality.
Took him online. He does a fantastic job of providing feedback and opening out question times. Makes the class feel connected for something online. I think he was very mindful of everyone's views and made sure to just provide facts.
Amazing guy I'm sure I would've loved him more had our class not been online. The thing that's hard about this class is figuring out how he wants you to think. If you can figure that out I'm sure you'll do great here. Tests are FRQ, critical thinking is key here.
I personally liked Mr. Crammer, pay attention to his videos (lengthy) but full of useful information to help you with your short answers and long essays. As long as you go over the videos and textbook (free) you should be able to pass his class.
I just graduated from a UC in political science. I took prof crammer back in scc for multiple classes. Unequivocally the best profeesor I have taken. He teaches you how to think not just regurgitate information. I remeber his slides usually have like one or two words and he justs knows what he is talking about. TAKE IF YOU CAN EVEN IF NOT POLISCI!!
I actually found his class to be insightful, but also really fun to do the assignments. This is because you can tell how passionate he is about it, and he actually gives you good feedback on how to improve. There's not a crazy amount of work, just enough to keep you flowing. I would highly recommend him; his lectures are really good as well.
Prof. Crammer is honestly one of the best professors there is. Definitely take him for political science. A lot of reading, but he goes over it all in the lecture and video lectures. He also gives good feedback on essays and assignments to help you improve Definitely be ready to participate!
Prof. Crammer is honestly one of the best professors there is. Definitely take him for political science. A lot of reading but he goes over it all in the lecture and video lectures and gives good feedback on essays and assignments. Definitely be ready to participate. Take advantage of office hours! He definitely wants you to succeed
A great professor, during his hybrid class and testing if the class finds a problem when testing he always aware and helps adjust grading. His online class is is great and covers many things in his lectures
I took American Government and Politics through the CVC, and he is a great professor! It was a shortened course with only half a semester, but he opened all the assignments up so students could get ahead. If you stay on top of the reading, you'll be fine. Provides great feedback, and there were 2 essays. Modules come with 1 quiz, 1 attempt.
