He simplifies many things. He doesn't teach some important stuff. His questions are sometimes challenging. He teaches Bio in a different way. He always stays after class and answers my questions. He knows a lot about plant physiology. His exams are more straightforward than other professors.

Rounds is knowledgable about the subject, and his passion for biology clearly shows through his lectures. He is extremely willing to help his students, and wants them all to succeed. His tests are tough though, he will word things in a confusing manner. Expect lots of true or false questions, and some possible "might be true".

Caleb is a good teacher once you're used to the way his questions are worded. I would assume it would be way more difficult if you have not taken bio in a few years, however if you have taken AP or a previous course the material is not that hard, mostly review. Study clicker questions for tests and go to SI sessions they are very helpful

He's actually a really good professor. I actually learn in that class lol. There's a lot of information to memorizecover. I do fairly well on the midterms (86%, 74%, 93%) considering how i havent taken bio since 1st semester freshmen yr of high school and i can keep up. his clicker qs are very similar to exam qs. theyre challenging but helpful.

While his classes are genuinely hard, he does what he can to make sure most of the class understands- he gives difficult iclicker questions for the class to answer, and if there is a split, he explains further. He makes himself and TAs available as much as possible. Almost all of notes are on the slides, which he shares with class.

He is a great professor and I really enjoyed it. He expects you to actually think. Read the section in the book before class to understand, but dont study from the text. The exams are difficult and all, but they are very similar to clicker questions and quizzes. Class avrg. is a 82!! Each exam is only 10% of grade. Discussion counts for a lot.

Although attendance isn't mandatory, I highly recommend you attend - you get credit just for answering iClicker questions, whether you're right or wrong. All of his quizzes and exams are multiple choice and truefalse, and you get a week to do the weekly homework. He's a great professor, and his class and exams rely heavily on critical thinking.

My favorite teacher at UMass. Engages the class with questions at every turn and makes sure everyone understands the material. Very nice and has great TA's. If you need to take bio151, its this professor rather than the others, as you will do much better with Caleb

caleb is awesome, i definitely think he's the best of the bio 151 profs at umass. if you go to lectures and do the readings, which are light and don't take too long, you shouldn't have too much trouble. his lectures are engaging, he explains things clearly, and his practice tests match his exams. (they're still pretty tricky tho. study up.)

He's defo the best among all the other professors for BIO 151. A kinda challenging class but if you put lots of efforts and study hard, A is still possible. Participation matters as everything you learn in class is important for the tests. I especially like how he teaches by asking you questions and solving it. Btw he is super nice and very SMART!

Caleb is an awesome professor - his lectures are interesting and funny, plus, his clicker questions really make you think. However, his tests are heavily critical thinking & class based, so you have to attend lectures in order to do well on them. This class is not an easy A, but despite it being my hardest class this semester, it was my favorite.

His classes really make you think about the concepts behind the material, and he makes it clear that he wants his students to get more out of his class than just route memorization (that won't help you do well anyway). If you are confused ASK QUESTIONS either outside class (he's very helpful at office hours) or in class if you feel comfortable.

He's willing to change answers on exams so as long as you can back up your thinking, there's a good chance that you'll get points back. Exams are similar to clicker and quiz questions.

I also had rounds for 151 and he is a really great teacher once you get used to his style of teachingtesting. The material itself was pretty easy for me (taking AP Bio definitely helps), but sometimes it is still hard to do well on the exams because of their annoying wording. He is willing to help students and always enthusiastic. Go to class!

He is honestly a really good professor. The clicker questions can be tricky but once you get it, you will get it on the exam. He is really cares about helping and teaching you. You learn a lot and if you work hard and go to class you will pass. Taking AP Bio also helps. Currently taking his 152 class and it has been great also.

His exams are extremely hard however his lectures are very clear. He has many double negatives in exam questions to fool students.

Professor Rounds is great. The only complaint I have is that his exams are tough. However his lectures are awesome, everything he presents is always neat and clear. He also likes to add some humor to his lectures. Had him for BIO151 and chose to take him again for 152 despite the challenge. You take so much out of his class it's definitely worth it

Caleb is very passionate about Bio 151. He is hilarious, a little dorky (which is awesome!!) and he does his best to explain things in depth until everyone understands. The exams are difficult, but if you attend lecture you will be prepared. Super fun course!!

Caleb is seriously the best intro bio professor. His tests are hard, but he gives points back for unclear questions and really wants you to do well in class. He is always willing to explain things, but you need to put in effort for the class. I didn't take his section of 152 because it was MWF instead of TR, and it seriously was my biggest regret.

I had Caleb for 151 and loved his class despite its difficulty. I found 152 to be easier because I was used to his testing style and because of the content. He makes you work for your grade and expects you to think critically and to participate in class lectures, and uses those skills heavily on his exams. He's also funny and a genuinely nice guy.

Caleb was a really good professor in my opinion. If you want help learning the material or have a question all you have to do is email him and he will either email you back or address the question in lecture the next day. Professor Rounds, in my opinion, was fantastic at presenting the information in bio 151 and making sure all students understood the information. He uses many iclicker questions, and makes sure all students understands each question and/or slide before moving on. Show up to class and ask questions and you're all set.

Caleb encourages students to ask questions, and answers clearly until students understand. Lectures are really helpful and usually cover the reading that was assigned, but you should still read. iClicker is required and answering the polls is what counts as the participation. Sometimes humorous. Tough wording on exams. Weekly quizzes and homework.

If you're going to take a Bio 151 or 152 course, take it with Dr. Rounds. HE is by far the best out of all of the bio teachers. His class isn't easy, but his tests never have surprises, and he also leaves a lot of room for a high grade as long as you participate. He does a very good job at clarifying difficult things, especially one on one.

Very interesting lectures, I was not bored once. However, tests are quite tricky; he likes true and false questions which is very unfortunate. Taking his Biology 152 class because despite the test difficulty, I liked this class.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking Bio 152 with Caleb. He always kept me interested and was cracking constant jokes that were actually funny. His tests are difficult and I often got a B no matter how much I studied, but still enjoyed the course. Highly recommended.

Took 151 with Caleb and thought at the time he was a good teacher. However, after taking 152 with another professor I truly wish I had Caleb again. He is one of the few biology teachers who seems to have a genuine interest in teaching. His tests are harder they aren't trick questions but he wants you to actually think. Caleb was a very good professor. You need to attend lecture to pass, but this isn't an issue as they were interesting and he keeps students engaged with helpful clicker questions. He gives homework and weekly online quizzes, but they are relatively easy. The only issue is that his test questions can be wordy and occasionally confusing.

If you put the time and effort in you really learn a lot and after completing the course you have that good feeling about knowing you accomplished something hard. Caleb is great and even though the material is tough there are many opportunities to get help.

I'm glad that AP Bio credits aren't accepted because of this man. His tests are based more on case studies, data interpretation, and some memorization as opposed to hardcore textbook information. Look over iClickers, quizzes, and practice tests, and make sure that you understand the material, and you'll be set

Caleb is a really nice guy, but he's a little more ambiguous than I would like in a professor, especially because some of the ambiguous material he attempts to clear up (sometimes unsuccessfully) and then you're tested on it. But he's a really nice guy and he gives you the opportunity to "fight" him on exam questions :)

Lecture Powerpoint and iClciker questions are very helpful. He has pre-class quiz that asks about the materials from the readings and post-class quiz that asks about materials of the week. He's super helpful during office hours and genuinely wants to help students succeed in class. He gives extra credits for correctly answered iClicker questions

Professor Rounds is easily one of my favorite professors I've ever had. He is SO intelligent and knows everything about everything. I took 151 with him and HAD to take 152 with him again. His exams are extremely hard but bearable! Funny guy (sometimes) and extremely kind!

The key to the tests in this class is to go to the lectures, read the textbook, and memorize the slides. Don't even need to ace tests because the points given for lab and hw quizzes is an easy way to bring your average up. Rounds is tough but a great professor.

He gives you a ton of opportunities to boost your grade through the homework and quizzes. He has clicker but it makes you go to class and learn the material a lot more than reading the book and looking at the slides alone. My favorite science teacher of all time! Such a great lecturer that I sometimes wish he taught all my classes. I wouldn't listen too much to people who were frustrated with him, his tests have tricky questions, but I reckon most of their frustration is because he makes the intro courses harder than most kids would like. This is an introductory bio class. Caleb is a great teacher, uses great examples and although his clicker as well as exam questions are tricky sometimes, he does his best to be fair to everyone. Very approachable outside of class. His exams are mainly true or false patterned. He's kinda funny sometimes too!

Most of the questions you see on the test are directly from the questions he asks in class. If you go to class everyday and understand every question you get wrong you should get an easy A.

Professor Rounds is a good professor he seems very passionate about the subject. Clicker questions and quizzes provide a nice cushion to your grade and clicker questions will show up on the exam. My only complaint is that he only releases practice exams 2 days before the exams so if you want to study, you should start at least a week in advance.

Dr. Rounds is very good at keeping you engaged in lectures through i-clicker questions (grade booster) and a good sense of humor. He makes it easy to get a good grade in the class through collaborative weekly quizzes and east homework. If you pay attention in lecture, really try to engage with the material and ask questions, you'll be great.

If you're going to take Caleb's bio class, you have to have a sense of humor. He spices up his slideshows with memes and just funny stuff to keep you interested, which is great for all the non-science majors. He's also really approachable, and loves visitors in his office hours, even if you don't discuss lecture.

I am so happy I took Bio 152 with Prof. Rounds. He loves the material and has a great sense of humor, making lectures engaging and fun. Professor Rounds is awesome and he tries hard to making his lectures and slides interesting. This course is a Intro Bio lab so I never saw Caleb, just the TA's, but he did all of the rubrics and protocols. They have funny jokes in them and are pretty clear. You have to try to get a good grade, but it's easy as long as you make sure to read what he tells you and triple-check your lab reports to make sure you do everything it says to.

Really funny and caring. The tests are exactly like the clicker questions in class. The at home quizzes are guaranteed grade boasters. He is very good at explaining all concepts and there are practice tests for every exam.

He usually makes his PowerPoints accessible for his students online. Bio 153 on the other hand is dependent on your TA and the lab reports are not graded easily.

He has a meh sense of humor, but gives interesting facts. I must say that over the course of the semester, Caleb became a better teacher in my eyes. There appears to be a method to his madness.

Never had Caleb, as Bio lab was instructed by a TA. Your TA in a huge way can make or break your grade. The Lab itself is ok as long as you do your work and work efficiently with your group. Many lab reports weren' too bad but some took me 3-4 hours at least to complete, I did them in one sitting. Put in work, attend lab, and you will do well.

Cool guy, pretty funny. Most importantly he is very fair. Nothing is on his exams that arent in the lectures. Do all your homework and go to all the lectures and youll be fine. Had Caleb for 151, 152, 153. Clicker based classes with grade boosters in weekly quizzes and homework. You will get an 80+ on every exam if you understand the clickers. First day of class, just start a Google slides and put all the clicker q's in there. His finals are hard though, not going to lie. Take him if you want to truly learn.

If you manage to develop your ability to leave your phone face down and take your headphones off when applicable, then you will do well and you might even have a little fun while doing it. Unfortunately I discovered this around the third quarter of the semester. It's a tight fit class, he runs it until the absolute last minute, but I like it.

Clicker questions help turn what would be a boring lecture into what is a chance to study every class. The homework quizzes also help learn content. There are plenty of SI sessions if you are struggling. There are 4 tests in the semester but they are manageable. Caleb is funny and he knows the content well. TA discussions aren't helpful though.

Records all his lectures with live note taking so missing a class is okay, but there is an attendance/participation grade so you can't just skip. has all quizzes and homework on Moodle so you get your grades as soon as you submit the assignment. you are even given a grade calculating spreadsheet to see how well you need to do before finals.

Caleb's class has always been my favorite class to sit through, including BIO152. He is very passionate about the topics which come out in the lectures. How to pass the exams: write down EVERY iclicker. like seriously. I would take screenshots of the questions on reef then put them in my notes, writing down everything he says about the questions.

Prof Rounds was a great lecturer! I would absolutely recommend taking Biology with him. He is very passionate and intelligent in the subject. Lectures are recorded and posted (which is SO helpful because the exams are directly drawn from his lectures- no textbook). De. Rounds is a good guy. Lectures are great and material is clear enough for an intro bio course. Only gripe is that some questions will leave you in the "Need to think how he wants me to think, not logically". If you are not normally solid in bio (like myself) make sure you study hard for exam one to get used to his questions. Take him. He's good

Professor Rounds is great. He knows his stuff, and helps his students know it. He answers all questions and helps you understand the material no matter how long it takes. Participation is mandatory, but he tries to keep things interesting. Weekly homework that is super easy, and weekly quizzes about the lecture material.

Don't take this class if you want an easy A. Despite being remote, Caleb has given students a lot of resources. Go to UTA Review sessions to do weekly quizzes & you're guaranteed a 100 on quizzes. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. A lot of what's on the exams are specific to what Caleb speaks about in class, so go to lecture to understand.

Caleb was amazing. While optional to attend, every lecture was enjoyable. He is friendly and funny. He allowed students to work together on assessments since everything was online. The work would have been hard if solo but with a group it was doable. He made bio enjoyable to learn, everything you want in a science teacher. His pets are cute too.

Caleb is a very chill guy. His sense of humor can be a little snarky for some but honestly he means well and he seems to care about his students. His expectations are reasonable and even though the coursework can be a little tough sometimes, it's not that bad if you're willing to work for it.

You cannot simply remember facts for this class and you need to understand the concepts as test questions are not just spewing facts. Great professor but can go too fast during lectures. Attending lectures is optional, but I would've failed if I didn't attend and there's lots of extra credit just for attending. There are also so many quizzes and HWs that can easily outweigh bad test grades. I didn't do great on the tests but got 100s on almost all the quizzes/HWs so I was fine.

i took AP bio in high school and did well so this class was pretty much a repeat of that. rounds does his best to make sure everyone knows the fundamentals and will spend a ton of time answering everyone's questions. also offers tons of extra credit opportunities.

I absolutely adore Caleb Round. He is such a great professor and human being overall. I will definitely admit that you do have to work for the grade in this class, however, there are so many resources for help- take advantage of his office hours! I truly recommend taking any course with Dr. Rounds, he's the best.

Caleb is a really caring and great guy, my favorite prof I've had. He truly wants his students to succeed and is always willing to take time to slow down and answer questions. I had him last year for Bio 151 and 152, and after taking some classes with some other Bio professors, he is my favorite. He did a great job of helping his students understand material even if it can be a little overwhelming at times. Compared to my professor right now, his lecture slides are much more clear on what we need to focus on for exams.

Rounds is a solid choice if taking Bio 151 or 152. I had him for both and if you do the clicker questions and put in the work you will do fine in the class. His grading criteria is very straight forward and you either have prepared and know the information or you didn't. Caleb is a good guy and will help you if you have any questions at all.

I love this class, but I wouldn't say it's easy. I did very well in AP Bio and would consider this class moderate, but I can see a lot of others struggling. There are weekly readings that kind of act as a textbook. Some of the quiz and test questions are tricks, so read carefully. Discussions give a good idea of what the questions are like. Study!

Caleb is a great guy. He's funny, is awesome about giving extensions, and really cares about the subject matter. Lectures can be fast-paced and hard to follow but manageable. The content can be difficult but as far as professors go he's one of the best I've had.

Classes like Caleb's are what college is all about. His lectures are so engaging--lots of iClicker questions. This class requires outside work to get an A: study daily and rewrite your notes. His tests are tough. The secret? Practice exams! Go to every SI session, too. I truly loved this course and look forward to Bio152 with him next semester! :)

He is nice, funny, and cares about his students. His class is challenging and heavy, though: 1 Discussion, 1 quiz, 1 homework. Also, have to use iclicker and is GPS tracked. If you want to get high scores, make sure to understand all of the iclicker questions. He prefers to teach with graphs and images rather than theoretical questions.

Love Prof Rounds! Super funny and can tell he wants to connect with his students. Lectures are a little messy and confusing, but all the important info is there. The TAs definitely can make or break the class, though. Will be taking 152 with him. Great guy.

His lectures can be messy and a bit boring. however, he does lots of iClicker questions during lecture which are very relevant to exams and help u gauge ur understanding of the material. weekly hw quizzes are super easy and I recommend attending the TA quiz review sessions on zoom for the weekly lecture quizzes so you can get 100% on all of them

He's a amazing professor to get as a first year, and although his exams are a little tough, they're properly fair in difficulty (tough to a point where you can't go in blind), and proper studying can result in a easy A. Only issue is he might talk too fast during lecture, but he's always happy to answer fun & curious questions and repeat himself.

He is super accessible and a super fast responder, and always is willing to stop class to explain a topic that confuses people. My class had weekly quizzes and monthly short answer quizzes- BEST PROF!

That being said, this is not an easy class as his tests are very difficult. Moreover, the extra credit barely makes a dent in your grade. If you want a good grade, study everything thoroughly and carefully.

I took Bio 285 over the summer and online. The lectures were very informative and Professor Rounds want you to learn. However, the tests and quizzes are difficult as the questions can throw you off immensely. If you want a good grade in the class, you have to study every slide and every lecture video very carefully.

I started the semester by failing the first exam. Then came back and got a 98 on the second one. Caleb is an amazing professor and his lectures are exactly like the exams with the clicker questions. He gives lots of study material and you can do really well with him.

Caleb is a very knowledgable teacher who presents extremely engaging topics through mostly powerpoint slides followed with interactive clicker questions. I find myself being able to easily attain the information through simply attending the lectures and not even taking notes.

I love Caleb! Very nice, funny, and approachable guy. He really wants you to succeed. You get to miss 4 lectures unexcused with no penalty. Don't miss discussions & review the iclicker questions- they will help you pass. His exams tend to be tough, but if you do better on the final than one of your exams he'll replace it & drop the low grade

I loved caleb! I came into this class after taking AP Bio in high school, but definitely still felt like I was learning. Focuses on understanding rather than memorization, and his use of clicker questions during lecture was super helpful. Almost everything I learned was through lecture, but they are recorded. Go to TA weekly quiz help sessions!

Caleb is great! His lecture slides are interesting and he's a very engaging speaker. The iClicker questions are interactive and are a great way to stay focused and review content. No homework and just one quiz a week. Exams are easy and are just like longer quizzes. My only criticism is that there are a lot of typos in his slides and quizzes.

Overall a good lecture, I was able to understand the material and the tests were pretty easy. My only true complaints would be a lack of communication with the TAs (mostly for grading), and unprofessional behavior when communicating with the class. Caleb is a friendly professor but had some times where he would be disrespectful towards students.

Great guy with a good sense of humor. He tends to lecture a bit quickly and his slides don't contain much information. Wouldn't survive this course without the TAs and their review sessions. Accessible outside of class and provides clear explanations during his office hours. The course has weekly quizzes, weekly problem sets, 2 exams, and a final.

I really enjoyed this class. The problem sets were helpful to learn from, but sometimes lengthy and confusing. The TAs in this class really are the ones that got us through. The lectures in this class are engaging but can be confusing. The only complaint I had for this class was a lack of communication. Would recommend for people who love bio.

Genuinely cares about students, very easy to reach, everything was graded reasonably in both courses I took with him. Not sure why people had such an issue with his class being centered around iClicker questions as they helped a ton with exam prep. Not sure if it necessarily made my learning better though.

I love Caleb. His lectures and quizzes and test questions are funny!! He makes them humorous!! For someone who struggles with paying attention in class, he is very engaging and the dad jokes make life more bearable. Lots of quizzes and homework, but no more than I had w/ Moscarella in 151. His iClicker questions will come up on tests and quizzes.

Caleb is really great like a real life Hank green. He does have a lot of work and quizzes but also a lot of recourses. Quiz sessions help and si sessions. Lots of clicker questions but they help keep you engaged.

Very manageable pace, and he doesn't try to cram material into each lecture. 2 online quizzes a week, 1 based on lecture, and another on readings/videos, untimed, open book. Professor Rounds is an outstanding professor. His lectures are super engaging and he goes over all of his points multiple times make sure the concepts are well understood. He is also hilarious.

He teaches concepts very well and takes time to pause during lectures to let people ask questions. he also includes a lot of iclicker questions in his slides that helps you understand the concepts he's teaching. Rounds is a really good professor. He cares for his students and gives them plenty of resources to learn about cellular and molecular biology. Lectures can be long, and the exams can be tricky, but if you use the information he gives you and go to SI's, you'll be fine. He truly tries his best to make the class fair and values your feedback.

Great class and teacher, but can be pretty rude if you try to talk to him tbh. As long as you show up to class, take notes off the slides and what he's saying, and do the hw/quizzes, the class really isnt too hard. Gives extra credit, quizzes/hw have grace periods, and resurrection points from the final. I'd say take gen bio 1 and 2 with him.

Caleb is one of the best Professors I have ever had. If you are genuinely interested in the subject you should definitely go with him. The quizzes are pretty fair but, the exams might be a little hard. He's always there to help and makes sure his students understand everything. He replaces the lowest midterm if you do well in the final.

Rounds was an amazing professor, I loved his lectures. SI sessions are extremely helpful for exams and general material review. Use the clicker questions to study, they show up on the exams. The homework is basically just an easy grade boost. Really an easy class if you care at all.

Despite the rumors, he's good. A lot of people say that his lectures are difficult to understand, but I think he breaks them down in a funny way that makes things easy to visualize. Always has a funny joke or snarky response, which is better than 99% of the dry lectures in other classes. Love or hate the class, at least it's taught by someone fun.

Spectacular professor! He is a bit of a tough grader, but class really is not hard if you're willing to put a good amount of effort into it. The course is incredibly comprehensive and what you learn from his class is invaluable. Incredibly engaging guy who actually teaches you for understanding and makes you critically engage with course content.

Biotap is extremely difficult and he made it somewhat digestible. Very nice, really was foundational for 285. Anyone who had him for intro classes are much more well off than others I have noticed. I can only imagine how good he is for other classes as well

Prof Rounds was funny, engaging, seemed to enjoy teaching and was good at it too. This was probably the most I've ever learned in a class, at times I struggled with the content but the TAs were super cool and helpful!

Funny and informative lectures. Exams can be a tiny bit confusing, but all the info on them is given on the slides/clicker questions, and both Prof and SIs are easily accessible. Minimal homework overall. Attendance graded, though I personally enjoyed his lectures and found it easy to get up for them. Prof nice and interested in what he's teaching.

Rounds is an effective lecturer. I can't really speak to the difficulty of the class because it basically AP bio all over again, but if you use the lecture and quiz questions to study you will be fine. Sometimes the quizzes had incorrect grading or questions on things we didn't cover but he usually fixed it. Very accessible through discord.

He does a TON of iClickers, but overall the iClickers get at simple key concepts, that help you understand the material better. He does weekly quizzes which require reading, but he provides the links to articles/videos that are needed to complete the quizzes. Overall a really good prof though.

Prof. Rounds is the best! I am so glad I got him for bio 151 last sem and that I stuck with him! Just go over the iclicker questions before exams and you should be fine!

Overall pretty good class especially for STEM, I could get everything done on time and I feel like I have a deep understanding of the topics. He's a nice guy and throws in some funny quips. Also the textbook is just readings that he provides. The only small complaint I have is that he was oddly kind of sassy, especially on the discord that he has.

His lectures have a lot of information. There is a post-lecture quiz and a homework quiz every week. There are two mid-term exams and one final exam. He uses discord for the class which is very helpful. There are extra credit opportunities (1 extra credit) but you have to do extra work to get them like example go to five help sessions for 1 credit.

Caleb does a wonderful job of challenging his students and making sure they gain a lot out of his class, so its super worth it in the long run. That said, his lectures are very heavy and it's easy to miss something important. Some of his exam questions also tended to have crappy wording so you're forced to play roulette between answer choices.

He sometimes does not explain topics as clearly as he should, but gives you the tools you need to understand them. Questions from practices come up on the exams and your exam questions are 50% of the final.

IClicker questions were great too because they were very similar to what was on quizzes and homework. exams questions appear tough but in reality are basic definitions, Definitely no trick, just have to understand the material. He doesn't give straight forward answers in discord instead asks questions to let you get to the answer bc that's how learning works. his class was pretty easy if you just listened. Those complaining didn't go or listen

Very straightforward and fair course set up. Very snarky/sassy prof. Great lectures, just pay attention and you'll be fine. Also a bunch of boosts for your grade at the end. Bottom line, if you didnt do well you probably just didnt pay attention (or show up). If you get confused, go to sessions, do practice, REWATCH LECTURES!

Rounds is an amazing lecturer. He explains things in a way that you will 100% and he is engaging and you can tell that he is passionate about what he teaches. Exams are similar to practice exams, fair grading system. If you put in the work and learn the material properly, you will recieve an A.

As some who despises biology, I found his lectures to be extremely helpful, informative, and interesting. He was very helpful when it came to my disability. His exams were very fair, and didn't throw any curve balls. TAs were good and they seemed to like and know what they were doing. Study and you can pass the class no problem. Overall, fun guy!

passive aggressive, but funny when it's not directed towards you. weekly hw quiz (3 tries), lecture quiz (2 tries), and short reflection helped boost my grade. exams are similar to in-class iclicker. one page free response and a little less than 50 mcq. good, but not outstanding. learned more than other classmates with diff profs though

Caleb is funny and explain things very well in lecture. He does go fast and into extreme detail so I kind of struggled with that because science isn't my best subject, but he offers so many resources for help outside of class. I really liked his style of teaching and would take Bio again if I had him as a prof.

Honestly, Caleb was one of the best professors I have had. His assignments were very straightforward and based very much on the lectures. His quizzes reused many of the iClicker and problem set questions. He didn't throw anything he didn't teach on the exams. He is also a good lecturer.

I actually liked his teaching style a lot. Tons of iclicker questions which are used on prob sets and exams. Can be kind of sassy but it's kinda funny sometimes. However the grading of prob sets/reflections differs so much between TAs it is super inconsistent. I will have almost the same answers as a friend and our grades will differ a ton.

I really liked his lecture style, super iClicker heavy but it helps you understand the material well, similar style to Laura Francis. Hated the quiz/exam questions, super cryptic for no reason. Best way to study is spam the iclicker, quiz, and p set questions.

His rating should be much higher than it is. He makes everything very clear from the start and gives many opportunities to prepare for the exams( problem set sessions, quiz sessions, etc..). He is a diva. He kinda has an attitude and it can be a little scary going up to him to ask for help after class becasue of his RBF but he is really sweet and wants every student to do well. His study guides are from past exams but every semester he goes over different material so sometimes they don't help.
