Super funny and sweet. Very helpful guy and definitely makes the class comfortable. There is always group work that is always fun and makes the time go by fast. Amazing class.

Personally I did not enjoy taking this class only because it's quite difficult, but take it with Calvin and the process will be a whole of a lot easier. He does his best in teaching you so make sure you ask questions if you're lost... which you might be haha.

Although he requires you to do homework before actually learning the subject matter, his teaching methods are interesting and fun. I would highly suggest anyone to take this class. Attendance is also key to passing. I have learned more in this class than I have in most of my classes, and that's mainly due to his teaching methods.

Dr. Fogle was awesome, I would suggest choosing him for your Accounting needs. I was afraid coming back to school after 2 years off, and immediately jumping into Managerial Accounting... but he made it entertaining and was a great professor. Plenty of examples, some lectures, do the homework, show up to class (duh).

Dr. Fogle is an awesome professor. This is my third time taking accounting and I'm sure I can make it this time. Accounting is NOT an easy course but he lays a path for success. Just go to class and pay attention, you have to actually think about the material but as long as you put in a little effort, he will help you pass.

The class is awesome with the professor recording videos and providing notes. The professor really shows that he wants you to succeed. I enjoyed the way we did some group work but never for a grade just participation. All the assignments are online and the in-class work really helped with understanding. If you want to learn accounting, yes!

Great class and learned the basics of accounting. This class is computer heavy and the first 4-5 weeks there will be 3-4 hours of homework per week. Although there is a lot of homework, you have unlimited attempts so you can get good grades on each assignment every time.

Although you might want it, Dr. Fogle won't be giving out any D's this semester! He makes the content easy to understand and absorb. So getting an A won't be a problem.

Just needs to keep and eye on the test and HW that is online. You need to study for the final exam and also the midterm. If you were to fail the midterm, your grade will go down really fast.

Calvin Fogle is a nice and respectable guy. His lectures are fun and keep you awake, but that is not where your grading and learning come from. A majority of the class is homework that is online. This homework that takes a couple hours to do is very easy to learn and helped me a lot. Make sure to get it done to make a good grade in the class.

This professor is awesome! Beware you will get 6 hours of homework each week the first month. I hated this and I hated him for it, but then I realized it was the fundamentals. Listen to his audio files, you can ignore the powerpoints but watch the video lessons in each chapter. I passed w/o book and dont have to take the final. His method works.

Is a great teacher, and I would happily take again. Need to do the assignments, but if you do you should be able to pass the tests pretty easily. Mr. Folge is a good Accounting professor. If you come everyday, participate and do the homework, then you don't have to do a final. The homework gave multiple attempts to get the answer right so you can learn from mistakes. If you plan to be an accountant then this may be a bit too easy, if your a general business major then you'll be fine.

Basically show up to class and do your homework and you will pass. All homework is online, in the beginning it can be overwhelming because of the new material base foundation you have to know, but nothing to be discouraged about. His helpful and keeps class/lectures interesting.

The course was well put together in my opinion. Dr Fogle did a good job stating exactly what needed to occur to be successful. The class is very good and the is good balance for class work to homework. Dr. Fogle does multiple different things in class to help you learn. There is not one day the same and he makes it fun to learn accounting.

I took Dr Fogle for Summer Online ACCT 2302. It was awesome. His clear grading and step by step lectures guided me to understanding costs and capital investments. Accounting was hard but I like how he was online in the chat encouraging and clarifying the weekly subjects. Grades were posted very quickly. Would highly recommend.

It was my first time taking an online class at NVC. I am very impressed by how smoothly the class work has been. We had discussions, quizzes, and and labs that weren't that hard to do if you read or study each week. I'll say that Dr. Fogle made it easy for me to learn managerial accounting! My experience was very positive with Dr. Fogle. His lectures in class were about 15 minutes. He then provided practice problems where he walked us through. There is a lot of homework in the first few weeks but that made the rest of the semester easy. He did good on helping us. Extra credit for tours and speakers. He was one of the better teachers.

Professor Fogle is a great professor for anyone looking into taking accounting for their program. He is able to hold the attention of the class, making the 3-hour-flex course breeze through very quickly. The first 3 weeks will be very demanding in terms of homework. Be prepared to give yourself 3 hours per chapter/hw, but it does get EASIER.

I took Dr. Fogle for financial accounting as a flex course and of course it is a fast paced course so there is a lot of studying, a lot of reading, and attendance is crucial. no final if you're here every day and do all assignments. If you are thinking of dropping his class don't! He will work with you he wants you to be successful and pass.

Excellent. Professor Fogle was a great professor for ACCT 2301. I enjoyed the lecturers and practice problems. He took time to go over the material and was quite frank about all the Homework in the first 4 weeks. Once you get in the groove, it goes well but accounting is a tough subject for me. I am not an accounting person, but Dr. Fogle did a great job explaining and providing tutoring when I needed. I loved the online lectures so I could go back and review. He was very understanding and provide extra credit. If you want to learn Accounting, Professor Fogle is a cool dude to learn from... BEWARE: He does like participation.

Invest in a textbook!! There are many times that Dr. Fogle would let students use the textbook in class on quizzes (or even tests) and 3/4 of the class had not even bothered to buy one. The criteria for grading is very clear and if follow the guidelines you will be fine.

Great professor. Funny, energetic, and more down to earth than most other professors. Since accounting is required I recommend taking it with Fogle. Accounting in general is hard whether you take Ralph Mendez or Fogle but This professor makes it fun and is really calm. Don't forget to do the homework and you'll be exempt from final.

I took the maymester and while it was very fast paced and labor intensive due to the short 2 1/2 weeks of class it was not very difficult to catch on if you put in the required work, if you dont take the class serious i could see how one could struggle. Overall this class was a wonderful experience for me, I can honestly say that the lessons I learn in this class will help me succeed in my future career as an accountant. However, I must warn anyone who's considering taking this class, YOU will work yourself to the bone in order to pass this class, there's a ton of HW and the test's are no joke.

For this course you will be awaited to write and do homework on over about 8 chapters. As his student you must be prepared to study the chapter appurtenant to the next lesson before the day of class , as you will heed that new material is discussed every week. The professor is really good at expounding the facets of managerial accounting.

I would definitely retake Professor Fogle's ACCT1301 again. He provided all the material in the textbook, and gave students a real opportunity to read and go. back to understand the material. He responds to you very fast and helps you when you are confused about a topic.

I appreciated this class as it challenged me but was not overwhelming with work. Dr. Fogle did online lectures and provided test previews for the Midterm. The work is a lot but it was not overly difficult if you follow his work assignments. I didn't like the Smart book but after week 2 I figured out to make the class smooth. i would take him again.

Good class. Professor was down to earth and worked well. Online lectures and practice was the way. Just take the first few chapters serious as it was challenging on the first test. All in all, good dude for an accounting course. I would take him again.

so, i took a hybrid class, my class met every friday but he signs crazy amount of homework in the beginning. He gives extra credit that can go towards over all average. Very by the book for the first one-third of the semester, however as time goes on the class becomes easier, only if you did the Pre-work and SmartBook though. The Professor is fair but firm with his Extra Credit and helpful but steadfast on the Assignments he gives and the Turnin Date for each one.

This class was heavy loaded with work because it was a three week class.I strongly believe that if it was another professor besides Fogle, the class would have been extremely stressful. Mr. Fogle will structure the class for you to pass it all you have to do is try and passing is guaranteed.

I took Dr. Fogle for Spring 2020 and I thought he was an amazing professor, great communication, and care for his students. Assignments, discussions, and quizzes were manageable. Highly recommended. If I have the chance I would take him again for another business class.

He's very good, and caring. I took his online stats class this spring, and the workload is a lot but just be sure you have time for it. I really wish he would make the deadlines on sundays by midnight, but most were by thursdays or saturdays. Most online classes give you till sunday by midnight. Overall, it's simple enough to follow and to pass.

Dr. Fogle is willing to help if needed. He provides feedback and allows various opportunities for extra credit over the semester. The workload is manageable and is usually due by the end of the weekend. As long as you put in some effort you should have no problem getting a good grade.

Before taking this class I was a bit worried how it would work online. However, the course was quite fair. The layout was easy to understand and the lectures and/or power points were easy to understand. Also, Professor Fogle was available when you needed him and will help you out. Overall great professor who is very clear in directions during notes and while completing assignments.

Good professor, genuinely cares for the success of his students. Lectures everyday, but tells you what to write for your notes. Projects can be a bit challenging, especially if you don't look at them in advance. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't want to take the final, come to class everyday. Accounting is a tough subject, not an easy A.

Dr. Fogle is a great professor and truly cares about the success of his students and his course material. He is well organized and you will always know what is expected from you, he does assign a lot of homework but its spread out where it is not overwhelming. If you complete the assignments this class is a joy.

Engaging lectures, easy grader, I flunked the midterm after the Rona messed everything up. He is pretty cool though

Dr. Fogle is great! He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed in his classes. In my experience, he's really good about providing a prompt response if you reach out to him for help or have questions. My advice would be to not put off his projects until the last minute.

The subject is just hard, If you are not a math or formula person. But Professor Fogle was ready for any question and always offered extra help. I am visual so I had to order a copy of the book even though he provided a pdf. Loved the youtube lectures, really helps.

This class was well organized and I really enjoyed the professor, their is a lot of HW assignments that are based of Smartbooks. But you really learn alot.

Excellent Professor. Keep in mind, you will have to pay attention, read, and do some studying to keep up with the course work. If you miss lectures - you are bound to get behind if you don't read the chapters and keep up with the class. Easy to fall behind, extra credit is available from time to time.

He is good at explaining everything in detail and won't hesitate to help a student out. However, I wouldn't recommend taking him online, as he is more helpful in person.

I have taken 3 classes with Mr. Fogle at Northwest Vista, he is a great guy, very caring, and also manages his classes to be VERY laidback. If being laidback is not your style for an academic setting I would not recommend.

Calvin Fogle is really great professor, I would totally recommend taking his class. I wouldn't say he gives out a ton of work but enough to keep you busy. Everything is pretty easy if you pay attention to readings and examples. He is also good with communication feedback and always available to his students needs.

Great class, clear lesson plans that you can take at your own pace! I just wish some of the grading criteria was a bit more explanatory, I felt like some details were hard for me to decipher.

I highly recommend taking Professor Fogle's class!! There is a lot of work for this class regardless of the teacher you get because its a difficult course. It is time consuming, but if you stay on top of things and complete the work, you will get the grade you want! I was scared to take this class, but Professor Fogle is very helpful.

This class was easy, and so is the work load. The only reason I got a C was because I missed one of the projects that weighed heavily on my grade. I actually missed another assignment and still passed. Just do things ahead of time and you should be fine. The assignments and quizzes aren't long. As a Professor he's very nice and helpful. 8/10

This class is very organized from the very first day. As long as you complete assignments and keep track of due dates you will be able to make a good grade. Procrastination isnt a good idea in this class as there is no late assignments. 10/10 would recommend this class.

Must turn in assignments in order to pass. Accounting wasnt my favorite so they class was 10x harder. Take good notes. This professor is very understanding and is free whenever you need him.

I enjoyed Dr. Fogle's Flex class. I was not interested in accounting bit He was good in teaching the class assignments. It was a fast pace in 8 weeks but the lectures and extra credit was awesome. Just stay on top of the homework and you will pass. I took hom for Business Principles too and he teaches each differently but I enjoyed both.

Very straight forward with work and very encouraging throughout the semester. Gave good instructions and overall an made class so much easier.

Professor Fogle is a wonderful professor! His online class is very simple, you just have to read the modules! Everything you need is in the written models and PowerPoints. He always sent the class motivating messages to keep us going, its really thoughtful!

I wish there were more assignments and that the formulas involved were more explicitly stated. I wish that the answers in the models had explanations attached with a rundown of how this affects the company for better or worse. I wish I could have taken better notes. Mainly I wish I had more time and better ways to practice and prepare.

Dr. Fogle's online business class was great. Although there was homework due every other day, it was quick and easy assignments. As long as you put forth effort you'll be just fine in this class. Only complaint is he doesn't take late work, which was a bummer considering sometimes life happens even if the problems are small.

I have takin Professor Calvin Fogle before for Accounting. Accounting was a really hard class to understand, but he provide lecture videos that really helped me understand the class better. I was excepting that for BUSI 1301 but no lecture videos were shown. So it was bit more of struggle with the reading he provided. But he gets you to learn.

Was overall a good class. Don't miss any assignments because there are no redeos. You're given plenty of time to do quizzes and assignment and finals.

I took Dr. Fogle's business principles class as an 8 week summer course. He released all the work by the 4th day of class minus the final and 100% self paced. I did have questions on about three assignments and he was quick to respond even on weekends. I would 100% take a class he leads in the future.

Professor Fogle made this class enjoyable to dive right in. His assignments are very to the point, doesnt ask for anything crazy and he is open to students suggestions. If you dont do your assignments, like any class youre bound to fail, but he wants to see your effort. He responds and grades quickly. I 100% would recommend his class to anyone.

This a tough class with time intensive projects. I found the project work to be challenging and can see that it will be helpful in the business world. Only feedback is some of the instructions were not 100% for an online class but when asked he always clarified - so if needed you should just ask.

Personally I thought the class was laid out well. Just being on top of assignments and making sure due dates are met. I only struggled because of improper time management and I actually took a two week vacation in the middle of it, but all in all great professor, easy to understand and overall great class

I am so grateful for Professor Fogle, he's one of the very few people that understand how intricate online classes can be and has a wonderful system that can easily be navigated. Good notes are the most important part of this course. Everything that is covered during the week gets covered in the assessments, there is no second-guessing yourself TG.

Professor Fogle is an easy going person, nice, and respectful. He is strict with his class but at the same time very comprehensive if you have any issue with the topic that you are learning, and he will take his time to help you. I took his face-to-face class. He is easy on grading. He did not take attandence as a part of grade, but make sure you come to class. It will be easy B+ or above.
