Create professor, very knowledgeable. Do not miss lectures, do homework assignments and read textbook. Midterm has the same assignment from the lecture. She is always ready to help. Managerial Econ is not easy. You have to study. Definitely, would take another class with such a great Professor.

I am surprised with these negative comments. This Professor is very nice. Managerial Econ is really complicated subject but if you work on it consistently, you will be OK. There are two exams and several HWs on myEconLab. The textbook is very similar to the MicroEcon textbook. She gives extra points just for participating in the games.

Refresh your calculus before taking the class. It will be very helpful. However, Professor will go through the basic formulas to prepare class for math. This is a tough class, naturally, given the subject. However, if you put 100% into this class you will learn a lot and pass the class. This class is not an easy class by any means but the instructor is knowledgeable and clear. You will need to attend all reviews and go to office hours regularly if you want to do good in the class. Good teacher.

This class is awesome as well as a Professor. You really have to study hard but it is very rewarding. Two exams and 7 Homeworks. Lots of extra points to increase your grade If you have questions, Camelia will answer even before or after class. Great class!

Calculus knowledge is required. Get ready to spend time studying on your own and being confused at times. Nevertheless, the extra credit and curve does it for the good. Good grade is obtainable, you'll have to dedicate yourself to studying. Don't take this class for an easy A or B.

It was not an easy class, but I enjoyed the course because the Professor was clear in what she expected from us. It was hard but it was still doable.

If you were working hard during the quarter, you will get A. The concept for this class is based on Micro Econ with some elements of calculus. If you have any troubles with math ask Bejan. I have just checked my grade which is 4.0. Class is difficult as well as other classes in UW. The goal is achievable if you have a desire. Take Econ with this professor if you want to get knowledge. Would take again with Camelia.

She is the best teacher you can ask for a hard subject. The class material is very hard, but listen carefully to her lectures, do the homework and you will get a good grade. Camelia is a really smart and educated individual. She went above and beyond to meet the students needs even meeting on Saturdays before the midterm and final as well as having multiple reviews in class. She knows her material really well and has a passion for it. She does want you to succeed!

Dr. Bejan is an accomplished, UW treasure. The subject material is dense and requires becoming adept at applying concepts--this only requires basic calculus- derivatives of polynomials. She elegantly and clearly teaches the tools, concepts and application; but you must be able to eventually reach a level of knowing WHEN to use these. Loved her!

She is a teacher that teaches the topic as well as the topic can be taught. It is not an easy topic to teach and you need an understanding on the applications and when to use the concepts. She really does care about your success, you just have to put in the time to study and reach out to her if you need the help.

Dr. Bejan was a wonderful instructor who made people earn a grade. This is something that is lost lately in a world where participation is rewarded heavily. If you want to learn take the class. If you want to skate by and become an unproductive member of society take a different course. College is challenging.

Students dislike her because they are not willing to work for their grade. The coursework is challenging, but not impossible if you read and attend lecture. She is very knowledgeable on the subject. You may feel put off by her personality at first, but you'll realize she is strict because she cares that you actually learn and not try to skate by.

I am really not sure why students complain about Camelia. She is one of the best instructors I have ever had: she explains material like no other. There are no surprises at quizes and exams: we practiced the same material in class. She also gives opportunities for extra points. If you are failing, then you did not study at all.

Have HW every week, spending about 4-6 hrs. And the quiz will just be one of the question from the HW. She put sample quiz or test on Canvus, those are for Mid-term and final, so don't panic to do it before quizzes. She will drop one of our lowest quiz.

Prof. Bejan makes expectations very clear from the get go. She is a tough grader if you're sloppy with math and don't clearly show how you arrived at your answer. She challenges you and if you're in school for the right reasons it will benefit you. I also wish I could marry her. That accent....

I don't understand these bad ratings. She is extremely lenient with grading, if you work out a problem correctly but you get the wrong answer she gives you full points. She has office hours on the weekends for exams, open to questions, quizzes are from homework, and she is great at explaining. There are no curve balls, study what she gives you.

Amazing Prof.! Explains difficult quantitative concepts more clearly and succinctly than any other teacher I've had. Highly accessible and goes out of her way to be and comes in on the weekends to help students prep. Quizzes are extremely difficult and require lots of studying. Exams are simpler. Really promotes a love for the "Dismal" science!

Her rate is pretty bad but as long as you prepare for quiz and exam and study enough you can get A. She does not teach everything in the textbook her focus is rather on calculation and graphing. Attendance will make you understand the concepts, reading the textbook will enhance your understanding and lead you to achieve A.

Excellent professor. She does her job and explains material in detail. She also expects you to do your job and learn it. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand actual application of the material, not just a list of equations. No surprises on tests, and lectures are very focused. The class takes time, but she's excellent.

She did an incredible job of explaining concepts. She will help you if you need help. If you commit and do the homework, you will do well. She gives all the tools necessary for success, and it is just up to the students to take advantage of them. This was my favorite class I've taken in a long time. Work hard and get great results.

Professor Bejan is an incredible professor who really makes sure that you understand what she is teaching you. The class itself is quite difficult, but she is always available for help if you need it - you just have to make sure to ask for it. Your grade directly reflects how much studying you did and how much help you asked for. 9/10 would retake.

Pretty clear what is required of you. Just make sure that you understand what you're doing when answering homework. Always available to help during class or office hours. Clear lectures and doesn't skip steps when going over examples. You'll learn a lot in this class.

Shes definitely one of the best college professors Ive ever had. Shes clear as to whats expected when showing your work and how shell grade you. Those who complain either dont listen, or dont like to put in work. No urprises when it comes to quizzes and exams. Not sure if it was just my class, but she actually jokes around a little!

Camelia is awesome! She gives really good feedback and hints at what will be on tests and quizzes. She genuinely cares about her students. The in-class experiments are really fun, she drops 1 quiz, and tests are similar to the practice exams. Don't read or buy the book. It is not required and everything tested on is gone through in lectures.

No online notes in this class, come to class and take notes which engages the student to listen and learn the lectures. I find this a very good teaching style and really enjoy getting taught by this professor. Very supportive and helpful through all homework assignments.

Classic UWB Econ "if you do better on the final, it'll replace your midterm grade", you love to see it. Only teaches on whiteboard, has 'lecture notes' that she kind of follows, but the formulas are not well distinguished and often times they are not sufficient to complete the HW or exams. Everything is on Chegg, but it's all math+finance. No econ.

Not sure why people are saying the class or exams were hard. The majority of your grade is based on the two exams but you are allowed to use a full letter sized cheat sheet for both exams (both sides final) you can literally put a sample question from each topic on your cheat sheet if you use a small font like 7pt and have no reason not to get 100.

Okay so this class isn't hard but its very easy to get lost and not understand what's going on. You can always have zoom meetings with her in case of anything. Her Exams aren't hard but their definitely not easy you have to study to pass. Loved the professor decided to minor in Economics of her.

Camelia Bejan is one of the best professors at UW. You can tell she knows what she is talking about and explains all the economic concepts and math problems in detail. Her lectures are great and she gives real world examples. While the grade revolves around the exams, as long as you attend class and occasionally read the textbook, you'll be fine.

Take your time doing the homework and doing well on the exams. Invest in Chegg or software that explains how to do economics! Her explanations are also sometimes lacking so ask questions during office hours! Her other ratings don't do her justice and paint her as an evil professor, but she is one of the sweetest professors I've had at UWB!

I come from the distant lands of the University of Washington Seattle. I have taken this class before, and the prerequisite courses on the Seattle Campus. Professor Bejan teaches this class better than the professors at Seattle. Any review here below 3.0 is copium from not trying hard enough in the class.

Her class is good if you're a good student (you can pay attention and take notes). I don't understand the bad reviews, probably from the ones who are on their phone in the back smh.
