Some of the work was sometimes elementary but she made class fun. She respects everybody and is kind-hearted. If she gives you a second chance, don't take it for granted.

Professor Clements is amazing. I was so worried about my first college English class but she helped me with anything i needed. I'm taking her for my ENGL1102 class because she was so great. Show up, do her daily activities, put effort into your paper, and you'll have the easiest A ever. She's the best!

Attendance is crucial to this class. If you don't show up, then you won't understand the major assignments. She doesn't grade easily. You really have to go above and beyond in order to get As in her class. She is SUPER sweet though! She always goes above and beyond for her students! Do what is asked of you, and she will reward you.

This being my first college english class made me a little nervous but I was amazed how simple the tasks were in her class. No unnecessary assignments or anything just in class work and a little homework and the major assignments. So happy to take her again!

Professor Clements was an amazing professor overall. She was understanding and definitely eased us into college level English. She absolutely LOVES giving book assignments which can be annoying, but she also demands respect; if you give it, you earn it. Her class flowed chronologically and had many workshop activities throughout the semester too.

Professor Clements is a good teacher but when it comes to essays she isn't very clear about what she wants on the rubric. Her attendance policy is nice because if you go to every class, you get 10 extra points. Lots of reading and outside assignments so be ready to work. She is always willing to help! Essay prompts are easy and interesting.

Her attendance policy isn't strict when she explains it but in reality it is. She does not penalize you for missing any class but her assignments are only explained in class so if you miss you are screwing yourself over. She typically will not reply to emails asking about instructions so make sure if you skip you can get info from a classmate.

I came into Comp with horrible writing techniques. Within a month my writing was not comparable. Her class is pretty easy if you come everyday and do your work, if you have perfect attendance you get extra points at the end of the year. I got an A on every paper by simply going to the writing center. She loves when people go there. Great Class

Professor Clements has a lot of little rules that add up. She wants her students to attend and participate in class, and she is willing to call out students who don't. When it comes to English she has very specific expectations for assignments and as long as her guidelines are followed she'll be happy with your work.

I really do not like english at all but Professor Clements is the most amazing person and professor ever and has made me learn to love it. There is a lot of busy work that is worth 1 point each, but it is there to boost your grade and help for big assignments. She wants her students to do well but you have to put in the work and time to do so.

The only things that will hurt you in this class are not turning in your stuff on time or just ditching class. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you're not in class, you shouldn't get the benefit of knowing what's going on, so she doesn't post anything on folio. Professor Clements was an incredible professor. I had her for an 8am, and her class always began my day in a great way. Her assignments are tedious sometimes, but they do have purpose. This class will help you with APA citations, professional writing, and advice for your future career. Shes a really personal professor who cares for her students.

I had Professor Clements for my 8 AM and I never had trouble getting to class on time because I looked forward to it(and I usually hate english)! It is a heavy workload but none of it is too difficult and you have plenty of time to complete it. Do your work and go to class and you should get an A. Best professor I've had-take her if you can!!

She was my first professor ever! i was so nervous but she made everything so much more fun! You do have to buy the book because everything you learn is in that book, i still use mine a few semesters later actually. If you have the chance, 10/10 recommend taking her! Professor Clements is super cool, do not expect an easy A though. Going above and beyond in this course will get you that A. She is super helpful outside of class and easily accessible. Sometimes she lets her emotions be dictated by her 3 year old, but nonetheless still a great professor.

Professor Clements is a tough grader. She expects you to go "Above and beyond" on each assignment, but you really do learn a lot more this way. She is caring, easy to access outside of class, and very open about her expectations. Perfect attendance gets you 10 bonus points. Go to class. She is funny and down to earth. Best professor at GSU. Took her for both 1101 and 1102 and wish there was another class I could take her for. Gives very good feedback. She is VERY strict about her no cell phone policy. Gives 10 bonus points to your final grade at the end of the semester for perfect attendance. She does have a tendency of talking too much, but overall GREAT prof.

Attendance is NOT mandatory, however. if you miss class you miss the in class assignements. Those missed assignements add up really quickly to the only 4 major grades. Make sure you go above and beyond if you want an A!!!

She does not make it easy, she makes you work for it but you learn so much in her class about life and your future. Clements is the bomb. Never have I had a professor who cares as much as she does. Be prepared to write and cite in both 1101 and 1002, but don't let that keep you from taking her. She is super nice and caring and will do anything she can to help you. She does talk about her kid quite a bit. 2 major essays which aren't hard. Take thorough notes when she assigns the papers so you know how she wants you to write them. 10 or so quizzes all over the book or articles she wants you to print. Only extra credit is perfect attendance.

Nice and funny professor. Respect her and she will respect you. Class requires cheap book. There is a good amount of work, but it's college. What do you expect? Quizzes over book chapters, but they are not hard. Straight forward assignments. If you are there for every class period, she will add 10 points on your final grade. Take her if you can.

GREAT professor. It is easy to get an A in the class if you do a good job on all your work and attend all the classes (she gives ten bonus points to those with perfect attendance so you might as well attend them all). Be aware though, you will WORK in this class. It may be a lot at times, but it is manageable.

Excellent teacher with a great teaching style. Attendance is not mandatory but you have to be in class to know what's going on because homework and such isn't posted online. Good bit of homework, it's not hard though.

One of my favorite professors at southern. Took her in 2016 while dual enrolled and she still remembers me by name in 2019. She is very straight forward and her assignments are pretty easy. Took her for both ENGL1101/02. Definitely recommend.

She may be a really tough grader and gives a looot of work (writing long papers) but she cares about her students individually and tries to be as straightforward as possible with assignment requirements. As long as you actually put some effort in and don't miss due dates, youll pass. But I would only take her again if I had to, bc of the work load.

PC was by far my favorite professor I have taken at GSU. If you do the work she assigns and go to class you have a good chance of an A or high B. She really cares about her students and you can tell she loves what she does. If you have the opportunity to take her DO IT! I truly have loved her so much I took her twice.

Professor Clements is a fair teacher to take for English 1101. She assigns three homework assignments per week including reading a chapter, writing a paper, and a quiz on the chapter. If you complete all of these assignments and do decent on the quizzes you should get an A. If you don't do homework do not take this class you will fail.

Professor Clements was super nice and understanding. You have to put actual effort into her class. She does not let students just lazily make there way through. No electronics in her class. If you actually do the work with adequate effort, it's impossible to fail. Only professor I've had so far who actually took the time to know everyone's names.

Hands down, the BEST professor I've had in 4 years of being at GSU!! We used the book as a way to guide discussion and writing. Her feedback is so helpful and you will come out of this class a better writer! She is very engaging in class and thrives off of discussion! You will get out of this class what you put in!

I had professor Clements for 1101 and 1102 and loved her. You read one book during the semester and will have discussions and quizzes for each chapter as well as a large paper and a few smaller ones. She is a very easy grader and is very kind and understanding. Do every assignment well and you're almost guaranteed an A. Take her class!!!

I never enjoyed English classes, but Prof Clements' class was great. None of the work was boring and the book was nice. Lots of writing and homework, but it's manageable and easy. She always posts the homework online and makes it easy to access. Her folio page is very simplified and easy to use. She's my favorite professor this semester.

Her English 1101 class was hybrid so we had Friday's off. However there were hybrid assignments, an article review or discussion posts. Attendance is mandatory she does daily assignments, you will get a zero if you do not go. No late work, lots of writing. Easy class just do the work. I don't think she's on campus the next two semesters.

There were many papers assigned in the ENGL 1102 class. One of the papers was 10 pages long, but it was of a topic of our choice and was broken up into 4 weeks of work. She makes long papers feel like a breeze and really helped me write better. This class does not have much reading, it is more writing based. Late work is not accepted in this class.

Professor Clements was amazing! She was incredibly helpful! If you take this class, be prepared to write. We ended up writing a 10-page paper, but it was broken down into 4 weeks of work, so it was easy to handle. She grades clearly but does not take late work no matter the situation, which I honestly think is a good thing.

Professor Clements makes writing papers a breeze with detailed instructions and examples. Took her class online - the workload is manageable, and she's helpful even with grading delays. Highly recommend her ENGL1102 course. unstuckstudy was a game-changer for prepping the essays.

Work was very participation-heavy, don't expect to coast through. Second half of class was based on a large project that was completed week by week, helping pace the multi-page project. As long as you're proficient in reading and writing, you should breeze through this class. Don't try to procrastinate, you'll learn very quickly that won't work.
