I love Dr. Gordon! He is young and very entusiastic about what he does. His lectures are fun and he will learn EVERY PERSON'S NAME in the entire lecture class! He never ceases to amaze me! Gordon plays YouTube videos & is constantly making jokes. Probably the NICEST guy on this campus & you will learn alot too! I love Psychology! Take Gordon!!!

Great teacher! Read the book, take notes and just listen! He gives examples for everything and is extremely nice! Definitely take him any chance you get!

Gordon was awesome!!! amazing teacher and shows passion for the subject. Extremely intelligent and funny. keeps lecture very fun hes always telling jokes and uses youtube and other websites for examples. He will learn EVERY persons name in the class!! Great professor, hilarious, and learns everyone's name. He is solely responsible for changing my major to psychology. Definitely take him if you have the chance!

Dr. Gordon is a wonderful teacher!! he is very funny and entertaining! he cares for his students and even in a class of over 100 he WILL learn everyones name! you will not regret taking his class! just read the book and pay attention to his lectures! (ask for study guide and he'll give one!!)

Dr. Gordon is the best professor I have ever had. He is young, energetic, and makes the class a lot of fun. Loves to show YouTube videos. His tests are kind of hard but if you study the notes and read the chapter before the test you should have no problem making a high B and even an A.

Dr. Gordon is the best professor I have had at UNCW thus far! I greatly enjoyed his class and always wanted to attend class because he made it interesting. The lecture are fun and he is very through in his discriptions. The tests are hard but if you read and take notes in class you will do fine.

Absolutley the most amazing professor at this school. He is the most helpful, intelligent, most amazing professor ever. Class is always a blast. If you don't care about the class, you will fail. But he is always there to help if you need it. He is so understanding. Study and go to class!!!

I loved Gordon, he was a great professor & made class interesting. I actually didnt mind going to his class. The bad news; his test were extremely hard, specific, & detailed. You have no way to bring your grade up. All you have is the average of your tests & a couple extra credit points. To do good on his tests, you must know every word in the book

Feel lucky if you get Dr. Gordon for PSY!! He is a really great teacher who cares about his students and whether or not they do well. He learns everyone's name. His lectures are interesting and he is full of energy. Very helpful. His tests aren't a joke, but if you study you should do fine!!

I'm sad that I don't have him as a professor this semester. He's such a great teacher! Probably one of the most approachable teachers I've had yet...one of the kind that could easily become a mentor. The class is hard, definitely try to read your chapter before every lecture and you'll be a lot better off. We need more teachers like Dr. G.!

FANTASTIC PROFESSOR!! by far the best ive had! He's incredibly nice & very personable, HILARIOUS, very knowledgeable. For 347, very interesting & my favorite class. I've gotten B+'s on the tests & havent read the book but i think it would help. He's very concerned w/ students' learning, and wants to know his students. TAKE HIS CLASSES!!! HES AWESOM

i LOVED dr.g. He was a great teacher. He spent the first week or so of class learning everyones name which was really impressive since there are about 100+ people in the class. he is really funny and was able to keep me up at 9:30. I would def. take another one of 11his classes. AWESOME TEACHER

FUNNY! and cute. uses a lot of his own experience from his practice to explain things more clearly. grading is simple-3 tests thats it. gives study guides. is interested in whether or not the student is learning. he made being a therapist a real interest of mine

Very helpful and really cares whether th students are learning or not. His tests are somewhat hard but definitely not impossible. Although attendance isn't mandatory, a lot of his test questions come from what was discussed in class - so be sure to go!

One of the best professors that I've had so far. His method of teaching is fun and you actually learn a lot. Remember to read the book and you will not have any trouble in the class.

AMAZING teacher! By far my favorite teacher here at UNCW! This class was extremely interesting and he made it even more interesting. You should attend class and definitely read the book if you want to get an A. Attendance isn't mandatory but you won't do well without attending class. He makes coming to class worth it though!

Dr. Gordon is an AMAZING professor! When I was taking his class I was a biology major, but after his class and seeing his passion for it made me CHANGE my major! Dr. Gordon is an awesome guy! He plays good music at the beginning of class. TAKE DR. GORDON - you definitely won't regret it. VERY HELPFUL!!!

I am actually going to say something constructive on here instead of just saying something stupid like "He Rocks!" Dr. Gordon doesn't do a good job teaching. That is, he basically reads the book to you all semester. I could read the book by myself, I don't pay a college thousands of dollars so I can be spoon fed the book hours a week

He is HOT and sooooo funny! I am not even interested in psychology but he makes going to class worthwhile. I have never missed a class because honestly I don't want to. He holds my attention during the entire class, he is a fantastic teacher.

He is an awesome teacher!!! He keeps the class interesting and sleeping is class is almost impossible because it is that fun. His tests are easy as long as you go to class and take good notes.

Dr. Gordon is simply a fabulous professor! He is the only teacher who I would say is entertaining in the mornings. He is very fair on his tests and there are no real trick questions. He uses the textbook a lot, but it is pretty entertaining to read.

Dr. Gordon is an amazing professor, no other professor at UNCW compares to him. He gives so many different examples to help you understand the material, and funny ones at that. He is partially the reason I am a psychology major. As long as you do the study guide, the tests are a piece of cake.

If you are trying to decide to take Dr. Gordon's class, DO IT. He is literally my favorite teacher I have ever had. He is fun and hilarious. His tests are easy if you go to class. Dr. Gordon is an excellent professor, my favorite this semester! Really funny guy and really wants you to understand the information. Even though attendance isn't mandatory, you should still go. Class notes are very helpful and he uses great examples in class. Also you should read the book, not all info on the test comes from the notes!

Dr Gordon is awesome! He is my favorite psych teacher thus far. He's really funny and abnormal psych is so interesting! Although attendance is not mandatory, go to class! It is entertaining and fun. The notes are so helpful for the tests and he doesn't go fast through power points so you have time to write it down AND understand it. GREAT teacher!

If you are going to take PSY 247, take Dr. Gordon's class. He is funny and makes class interesting. Unlike with some of the other teachers, you don't have to write a 10 page paper in this class. Reading the book really helps you to do well on the tests, and it isn't as dull as other textbooks.

Dr. Gordon is by far one of my favorite professors I have had at UNCW. His lectures are interesting and class notes are helpful. You do have to read the book as well though in order to get an A on the exam. He also makes a point to know everyone on a first name basis and when you ask a question, he will address you by name - even with 200 students.

I loved Dr. Gordon's class! He made the lectures interesting and is hilarious! You will want to attend class just because he is so funny even though it is not mandatory. He loves when the class gets involved and asks questions. If you read the book, attend class, do the psych studies, extra credit, and the study guides you'll be golden! Enjoy!

Awesome teacher! Really loves teaching and makes class easy to pay attention to. Attendance is not mandatory but suggested because his powerpoints are the best thing to study from for tests, and they are not on blackboard.

Gordon is my all time favorite professor I've ever had at UNCW. He makes lectures interesting and entertaining. I laughed out loud in this class more times than I probably should have. He's so smart and I learned SO much from this class. I wish he taught other classes so I could take him again. Love this guy!

Best professor ever! His class is interesting and fun, which is really saying something since it was a lecture hall of about 150 students. He is the whole reason I decided to major in pyschology. In my four years at UNCW he is with out a doubt my favorite professor.

Dr. Gordon is a great professor and has peaked my interest in psychology. He's great at explaining the material and keeps class interesting. If you want to fulfill a gen ed, definitely take this class. Seriously just go to class and it'll be so helpful.

He is literally one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life! He doesn't take attendance, but everyone goes to class because he makes you want to be there. The conversations are so hilarious and he has a lot of life experience. His tests are a little difficult, but he offers extra credit. I would recommend this class to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Gordon acknowledges all his students in lecture. Very descriptive when lecturing about topics, asks a lot of questions to make sure you're following along and understanding the topic.

I would recommend Dr. Gordon with out a doubt. He is very helpful because he has a lot of outside experience. The test are semi difficult so make sure you take notes in class and read the book! He does offer extra credit! He keeps you very alert and focused making you want to come to class. He makes a lot of jokes and doesn't take attendance.

Easily one of the best. He is hilarious, and loves to meet his students. His tests are slightly difficult, but as long as you go to class and at least scan the book, it should be no trouble. You'll never want to miss class, and you'll always have a great time listening to him make silly jokes. No homework, and plenty of extra credit!

Besides the fact that I think I'm in love with him, he's a great professor. His lectures are interesting and full of information. He has great examples! His tests are somewhat hard, but he gives you everything you need to know and if you study and attend class, you'll be fine. Dr. Gordon is a great guy and I'd love to grab a beer with him one day.

This was my absolute favorite class. The lectures were fun and interesting, he did his best to answer all questions, and I think he is super cute. Therefore staying awake in his class isn't hard at all. Do the extra credit, take good notes, read the textbook, and do the research credits and you will do great in his class.

Go to class (you'll want to!) Take notes, fill out his study guides and do the extra credit. You will love his class, he is amazing!

If youre looking to have fun in this class it is for you. I havent read the chapters and Ive passed every test. If you go to class and take notes you will be fine. He is a fantastic teacher.

BEST TEACHER!!!!! Great lectures, no attendance, but you cant wait to go and should go to pass. Read the book and take notes on it (dont wait till last minute because chapters are long, but its interesting so not too bad) Gives easy extra credit. Know the information for the test in and out from lecture and book then easy test. Ask for study guide.

He is the best Psych Professor at UNCW. He is funny, and relatable. He only offers 3 tests, so you HAVE to study the book because the tests are such a big part of the grade. He doesn't take attendance but you will love going to class. I would take him again, every time.

Dr. Gordon is AWESOME. His lectures are usually pretty entertaining. He does not put his lecture power points on blackboard so make sure you go to class. He expects you to read the book before getting to class. He gives 10 points of extra credit and they can only help you! The only grades you get are his 3 tests and the extra credit.

Super funny and laid back. Only 3 NON CUMULATIVE exams. No final. about 10 extra credit point opportunities. gives a study guide for each test but still need to study more than the study guide. I would definitely recommend but does not put notes online so it's pretty necessary you go to class.

Dr. Gordon is awesome. I look forward to going to his lectures. However, if you miss class you WILL have to make up for lost ground. Tough grading, and tests aren't easy. Really have to apply yourself. Definitely would recommend him, though, if you can handle a slight challenge.

Dr. Gordon does a great job teaching the subject. He is not boring and he is very funny. Hes a great dude. You have to go to class!!! He wont take attendence but he also wont post his lectures online so if you miss the day you miss everything he covers. I didn't get the textbook (even though he says to), but I never missed a class and I did good.

This is a great online class to take. It only consisted of 1 weekly assignment, which is a 10-question test on a chapter in the book. Since there is a test every week, doing poorly on one won't hurt your grade. All you have to do is read a chapter (which are interesting) each week &use your book on the online test. He was really nice thru email.

Dr. Gordon is one of the best professors at UNCW! He is so entertaining, you will literally want to go to his lectures. However, he does require you to read the textbook for tests, which is a lengthy process. Overall, this was a great class!

I took positive psych in the spring of 2014. I have graduated and started my (2nd) career in the human services field. I use what I learned in his class everyday. Because of his passion for the subject matter he made it very interesting. One of the assignments in this class was meditation. I still meditate. Take this class if it is offered.

Best professor at UNCW. I took this class as an elective and ended up not needing it, but it was my favorite class by far.

Great teacher!! Super funny guy, can relate dry topics with humor. Really tries to know all of his student even with 90 kids in one class. You just need to be prepared to study GET THE BOOK!

The course was based pretty directly out of the textbook, which I found super easy. There's an exam for each chapter so as long as you read and know the material, the class is an easy A!
