He's the best teacher I've ever had. He's helpful and very nice W/ students. He makes it interesting and the time just flies. U can print out the overhead materials which basecally covers the test. U also have to write 10 one-pg papers but it's easy 'cos it's all about Ur opinion on things.

He is a great teacher, very entertaining and you can tell he cares about people. He sorta makes up the class as you go along, which is good because you can tell him what you want to do, but bad if you prefer to follow a schedule. Most of his tests were easy but he threw in a couple more difficult ones. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

The syllabus wasn't very clear at first, but once I figured it out it was fine. There is a lot of work, but it's not too hard. He was quick to post feedback and scores. I really enjoyed the discussion boards and reading what he had to say on different subjects. I learned a lot from the class.

Had had a few Psych classes from Cameron when I went to UVSC. He was bad ass! He knew his**** and he was very open minded which is something I couldn't say about most UVSC teachers.

He is so awesome. Very interesting, fun, nice teacher. Explains things great, loves the subject and is just a very cool guy.

I loved this class! It was one of the first I took at UVSC, and I learned a lot. Dr. John was very interesting and incredibly funny. His life-lines during tests weren't a huge help for me, but it was still fun to do. I highly reccomend him to anybody, whether they're interested in psychology or not.

Initially I hated this class. I thought I was wasting my time- then I realized I was really learning! Cameron is a very cool guy. Makes the Class NON-stressful. If U R looking to really understand stats. like a major, he is not the teacher for U. He is the kind of professor who is fun, outgoing, makes U laugh, enjoys going to class,& teaches U what U need to know to get through ur stats. Class. HE HAD NEVER FAILED A STUDENT BEFORE.

I took this class online and had no contact except for bulletin boards and email. However he made the class no nonsense and extremely fair. Despite this being delivered in distance format he still was responsive and exceeded all expeactations. I would reccomend him to anyone.

he is a great teacher. he made the class extremely interesting and fun. he gives you three life lines for each test and you can ask him on the phone a friend! He made me want to major in psychology.

Took his class in high school and looked forward to it. He is interesting for the most part and VERY understanding. I didn't even buy the book! Just study for the tests and your go to go!

This professor is freakin awesome! i took as a high school student and it was the easiest class ever! His tests are a little tricky but he gives you all the things you should study before the test so your set to go! the only down part that the class was seven in the morning. no text book attendance only required on test day. awesome class!!

This Professor is great. No text book use, no attendance required except on test days. Goes over slides in class and puts them on the internet as well. His tests were okay, kind of tricky but not bad. He is student friendly. It seems like he wishes he could still be a kid so it makes him connect with the students easier. RECOMENDED!

I could never say enough good things about Dr. John. He is a great man and excellent teacher. He is one teacher who you should feel intimidated by because of his qualifications, but he is so down-to-earth. Personality Theory is a great, laid-back class where you will learn a ton about yourself and others! Don't leave UVU without taking Dr. John!

Whole class is based on research project. Pick your groups wisely, one kid in my class ended up doing the entire research project himself because his group sucked. Other than that, clear teacher, very helpful, nice guy. Learned alot by doing the project.

His class is very interesting and simple if you do it right. He has lecture slides on the website which are very helpful on the blackboard tests he gives. The book isn't really that necessary, maybe because I just haven't read it but I don't feel like I have missed anything without it. If you miss class he posts them online on a website. Great!

Online Class. Fairly easy assignments. Easy grader. Tests difficult. Very helpful and responsive.

Dr. John is a great teacher, super helpful and really flexible. There are four poorly worded tests but he curves the point values so you'll do better than you thought!

I really enjoyed his Psychology 1010 class last summer. Very nice guy. Helpful and understanding. I walked away from the class with a better knowledge and more interest in psychology.

Great teacher, excellent feedback. There's a lot of reading but the book is actually pretty funny. It mentioned Buns of Steel... which is awesome.

I enjoyed this class. At the very beginning of the semester he had each student select on a balet what he or she would like to learn and then taught what we were interested in. He has a certain pizazz for psychology which is amusing and refreshing. Attend all lectures, take and review good notes, and communicate with him if something isn't clear.

He has a knack for breaking overwhelming concepts into understandable pieces of information. His lectures stay fresh and entertaining. He's also extremely approachable and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions.

Dr. John is an incredible professor! He only teaches what you need to know, and does a great job teaching students how to apply statistics. This was my first class from him, but I can't wait to take more from him. As long as you attend classes and ask questions you can get a decent grade. Dr. John is great!!

I've taken stats 1040 2x before & hated all of it. I was weary about taking stats for BHSC, but Cameron is the BEST! He explains everything so well! I actually understood what was going on..not just the numbers but the concepts behind them. And I am someone that HATES math of any kind. If you have to take BHSC stats, take it from him for sure!

Loved this class. Tests and Measurements gave me practical experience. I am going to take another class from him.

Don't buy the book. You don't use it. You have 4 (5 pg) papers, and one 15 pg paper. One group project. Lots of writing. If you don't leave it to the last minute, you'll do fine. The papers are on fun topics, so it's interesting. Class is mainly a discussion, and even though he doesn't take attendance, I strongly suggest going anyway.

The class was pretty easy, as long as you keep up on assignments. He's super interesting in class. We didn't really use the book at all.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS! Pay attention and take tedious notes- he lets you use them on your tests. Utilize his TA's and go to the study groups. It's a pretty hefty class but if you work at it you'll be fine. Tests a brutal but pay attention and it will be ok. Only thing I hated was that he based take home tests on sports teams winning or losing .

Awesome teacher!! Took his BESC 3010 Stats class during 1st block over the summer and I loved it! You need to go to class and take notes because we hardly ever used the book, but honestly...if you do that and just study, the class isn't hard at all! He's really funny too. Take this class from him for sure :)

Cameron is one of my favorite teachers at UVU. I was nervous about stats, but he was thorough and made it interesting and easy to understand. He stayed on a topic until the class was ready to move on. Tests take a LONG time, but they are open note. Attend class & take good notes. He'll help you as much as you need, but you have to make the effort.

He was really easy to approach. The class was run like an online one. All of the assignments and test were online, but you had the luxury of being able to learn about it all in class. What was really nice was that we could take over the lecture, if the class had questions about a topic he would spend all of class answering them.

Great teacher. doesn't require text. Homework and tests are equally weighted so if you suck at tests you can make up for it by doing well on homework. Take stats from Cameron.

Cameron is passionate about the subject and has a lot of knowledge. If you want to have a clear guideline in the class don't take him. Interesting but has unclear expectations for the class.

Cameron is the BEST professor at UVU by far! He made stats so understandable- I would've failed from any other teacher. Text book isn't required, he is so helpful, and he is hilarious. Made my 2 hour stats class fly by. If possible, take Cameron John, he's seriously the best.

Took this class online during the summer. Super easy, everything is done on connect. You will need access code. Assignments online are time consuming but not hard at all. Test is also done online. I got a B+ only because I guessed on the whole final since I forgot and took it the last hour before it was due. Or else I am sure I would've had an A.

Excellent Instructor, possibly the best professor at UVU. Class was excellent, I made it through stats with help from Professor John. He jokes about BYU, I think it is GREAT! Take Professor John if you can, you won't regret it!

Cameron John is a great guy. He is very awake for a morning class and is excited to teach. He is very knowledgeable on his subjects and has tons of personal examples to share. A lot of his tests are very book heavy so be prepared to read. I definitely recommend him.

I took this class online. I got an A+ in the class. SUPER EASY class. Textbook required to pass since it is online. All of the questions on the tests come from the book. The midtermfinal was easy since they both came from the weekly quizzes. Weekly group discussions (via canvas) are mandatory, made the class more interesting. Perfect online class

One of the best professors I have had. I have changed my major due to this class. Recommend highly, he will help you if you show you have the desire to do the work and be a responsible student. Students who "expect" everything with little or no effort will be disappointed. He is NOT there to babysit, we are adults!

I loved this class so much! It was online and very engaging. Dr John was responsive and kind. The book is essential to this class, it is very expensive but it is a MUST have! He makes you really think about subjects and gets you engaged with your fellow classmates in open forums. This was my FAVORITE class this semester and Dr John was excellent!

I loved taking this class from Cameron! He did not require the text book. He did not have any homework, just studying for the in class quizzes and exams. He is very good at explaining stats and going over it again if you're still not getting it. He really cares for his students. He's also very funny and entertaining during lectures.

Cameron John is the best Psychology professor in the department, and my favorite professor at the school. He is a knowledgeable, down-to-earth teacher who has great passion for what he teaches. He is so well versed in all the subjects he teaches, that he can teach it simply so that anyone can understand. I HANDS DOWN recommend him to anyone!

Cameron is great! He is always willing to help you with anything. He gives you options with your projects and presenting in the class. His lectures are easy to follow and fun.' If you read and take notes the midterm and final will be easy. Definitely would take again

I was very grateful for this class for the fact that there was no busy work and the whole class is designed to help you succeed. Cameron is super fun and cracks jokes which makes class enjoyable. He also teaches in a way that makes it easy to understand Statistics. Definitely take him!!

Easy class. You give a few presentations but they are not hard at all. If you show him that you are trying to learn, you will get an A. Really would recommend this class!

Cameron John was such a great teacher, I've taken 3010 before but from someone else and Cameron was a breath of fresh air. He makes 3010 very understandable and he is great at explaining it. 3010 is a hard subject but if you want to pass come to class. The weekly quizzes come from the textbook. Would 100% recommend Cameron for this class.

Dr. John is in your corner! There are so many teacher that work against their students, but he's not one of them. He cares about you, and how you're doing in the class. His lectures are great, and he makes the subject fun! He was made to teach! He's great at it!! TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!

Loved Dr. John's class. His lecture videos are interesting, and he tells you everything you need for the tests. Tests are open note, open book and not timed. His assignments are very loose, and open for creativity. As long as you do your work, and put effort into it he'll give you a good grade. Very accessible outside of class, and understanding.

His midterm and final was open book, but you really had to work for it. Took me 3.5 hours for the final exam. Dr. John is passionate about psychology. Excellent professor, excellent feedback on assignments.

Personality Theory is about the theorists and their views on personality. Dr. John had interesting lectures. He always kept his meeting times via TEAMS.

If you're looking for an A, Dr. John is the professor. You do need to complete assignments and discussion questions, but quite honestly he'll give you 100% regardless of the quality of your work. If you want to learn, you'll learn a lot in this class! But if you're trying to get by without working hard, you can do that too.

Dr. John is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. His class is definitely very much up to you as a student: you can either put in work and learn a ton, or do the bare minimum... regardless you'll pass! If you want a class that is easy, interesting, and will still help you evolve as a psych student, Dr. John 's class is the one for you!

Cameron is the best!! He is very caring and is always there if you need help. Responds quickly to email and is a quick grader as well. Very clear grading criteria that make doing assignments a lot easier.

Dr. John makes the material very interesting and engaging. An easy A, as long as you show up. Light discussions required for every chapter but only 1 major assignment for the class, which was a final project at the end. Would highly recommend him.

Stats is a difficult subject, but Cameron does a fantastic job of dumbing it down and making it easy to understand. Weekly homework assignments and quizzes that are easy points. There's a department final at the end of the semester that you need 50% on to pass the class, and he prepares you very well for it. Amazing professor.

Dr. John was incredible! He is incredibly kind willing to work with students. He is passionate about the course material and is frequently using current data to run through complex processes.

This professor was so kind to me. I went through a lot this semester but he let me turn in almost everything late (with my accommodations). He's very interest and excited about the history of theorists and their impact on society. This online class was pretty easy. Just do all the assignments ( I missed a lot) and you will get an good grade!

This class was really easy and as long as you put in some effort you will get a good grade.

He know's a ton about psychology and he will spend an entire class period going on a rant about a very specific part of the field. I didn't learn much but his class was extremely easy and had minimal homework.

The in-class quizzes were tough for me, but the group quiz afterward guaranteed you five points. The tests are hard but manageable. Thankfully the homework was quite easy. I appreciated that. My biggest suggestion is to go to class and take notes! Cameron's detail on what's important for your notes and extra credit got me through this class.

Professor makes the content engaging, but the grading can be unclear. Workload is light, mainly just showing up. unstuckstudy and the textbook are useful study aids.

Dr. John honestly does a great job responding and being flexible to student needs and feedback. If the class is trying and participating, he will happily work with you. Just take thorough notes and ask questions if you don't understand, and you'll do great.

This class was awesome. Dr. John spent a lot of time making what we were learning applicable to our future careers in the mental health field. We learned about real experience as well as about various theorists. There's a lot I'll take with me from this class. He also made it easy, which is much appreciated. I learned a lot and it wasn't difficult.
