Be ready for heavy lectures! However, he makes it so you can understand the material. He offers study guides, reading guides, & a summary of notes from each chapter. He he super sweet and worked with me multiple times when I was having a hard time with my mental health. Quizzes, tests, homework, and discussions so a lot to do in the class. Honestly what saved me was the bonuses, take advantage of it. Chapter 1-8 tend to be more difficult but, the end gets better! This professor is great.

This may be the greatest professor I've ever had. I hate biology, this class was mandatory for my major, but Cameron made everything simple to understand and enjoyable, and he was very helpful in making sure everyone had a passing grade. If you have to take this class then it would be a serious crime to not take him.

Professor Cameron is a great person. He really cares about his students and jokes around as well. He helps his students understand the content and if you have any questions you can email him and he will answer your emails right away.

Loved Cam's class however I found lab difficult in doing experiments and my lab partner... if you don't know how to calculate or do something ask for help/ figure it out its important. Cam goes over information in-depth as well as patient.

I had Professor Trinh for my lab and SCM classes. He is very caring and wants you to do well in his class. He is great at lecturing and making sure that you understand what he is saying, stopping periodically to make sure nobody has any questions. His rubrics give very clear instructions and are easy to follow. I loved having him as my teacher!

Honestly he was a good professor. Chill and makes class interactive. Clear instruction's, attendance is mandatory. He likes students to participate, which pays off later on .There was a couple of group projects but nothing to complicated, follow his instructions and rubric and you will be fine! 100% recommend him!

You have 14 quizzes, 2 attempts each, and the 2 lowest quiz grades dropped. You have 8 homework assignments, at least 2 discussion posts, 4 Exams, and 1 Final. Quizzes & Exams have Lockdown+Webcam. I only passed 1 exam and ended up with a B+ in the course. Replaces lowest exam grade with the grade on the final. Complete ALL extra credit.

You'd have to try really hard to fail with him. Really easy course honestly. Very communicative, ready to ask questions, weekly announcements. Really enjoyed it (even if I'm not very passionate about bio)

He is very nice. There are two group projects, and you do not pick your groupmates, so be aware of that. The course was overall easy, but it felt repetitive at times.

If you are looking to take your bio lab online, I would say he is your best choice. He is very understanding and does his best to make sure everyone is doing well. There is one proctored exam, which is the final, but everything else is pretty smooth as long as you do your part. Two of your labs will be with a group and the others you do yourself.

I had this professor for the Summer Press program. He made this program an amazing experience. He is very caring about your learning experience and curiosity. Everything explained is easily understandable and he's not afraid to go over it multiple times if you're struggling. It is very easy to engage in conversation with him and peers in the class.

though I didn't have him for long but during the PRESS program he showed us how caring of teacher he is, he's lenient, and willing to show students their mistakes and help them and these are characteristics found in teachers who ACTUALLY love their job. If i could have him during my fall semester for bio lab, I would be relieved!!!

I had him for a summer program called PRESS. He was awesome! He always had us finish early so we could get to lunch before the line, which says to me that he is super caring and intentional. His class has a great mix of lectures, labs, and his style of teaching also allows for you to get to know your classmates well and create lasting friendships!

I took his online class and it was easy. he replaces the lowest test grade with the final test grade which led me to get a 100% as my final grade in the class. im not good at science but the class is very doable.

Prof Thinh is really nice, and he's not bad at all. Homework and quizzes are easy since they are all similar to the text and lecture notes. But the EXAMSSS were a bit ehhhh. But You should be fine taking him. Make sure to complete ALLLL the extra credit he offers and participate in iClicker, as this will help you avoid a lower grade in the class.

Cam was a really great teacher, and you can tell how much he loves the subject that he teaches. He's always very enthusiastic in class and did his best to make sure everyone got the highest grade they could. His classes have minimal work outside of class. He offers so much extra credit that most people's grade was over 100 all semester.

Literally best professor ever. Funny in his lectures but also very informational. Understanding and cares about what is going on in your life. Cam is one of the best professors you could ask for. He's very clear on his expectations at the beginning of the semester. Every week, there is a pre and post-quiz and a lab assignment. You have all week to do the assignment. If I could take him for every class, I would! At the end of the semester, there is a group project based on one of the labs.

Professor Trinh was a great professor. He provided a lot of extra credit and resources for help. Make sure to attend class for participation points and it's also mandatory. The textbook was helpful for understanding the material better and the hw, but his powerpoints were still good. Exams and quizzes were not hard and you can retake the quizzes.

Honestly, I hate science, but I have to take it as part of my degree. I never did well on exams, but he is an outstanding professor who cares and also gives bonus points. Every chapter had a homework and a test to complete that was online with a camera. Showing up and participating on iClicker is like half the points, so it's very important to go, and it's easy to get lost if you miss a day. Def need to study in this class but overall wasnt awful and he seems like a great guy.

Professor had a way of explaining things without overwhelming students with unnecessary info. Often drew diagrams and such, and gave test reflections and practice exams to keep his students prepared and on their toes. I think the iClickers were graded too harshly, and was only allowed for those who physically attended class. Overall great.

Prof. Trinh is a very great professor and person. You can tell that he wants you to succeed but in my opinion the exams were a bit harder than what is written in the powerpoints and what he tells you to study. It's a averagely hard class but not impossible to pass if you study.

As long as you attend lectures and do extra credit, you can still get almost an A in the class even though you did not do good on an exam and still have a good understanding of the material. I appreciated how clear an organized his lectures and grading were and honestly one of the best educators out there, period.

IGNORE the bad reviews, they're from people who don't show up and still expect an easy A. This class is totally doable with even minimal effort. If you struggle here, biology isn't for you, boo. Do yourself a favor and switch your major to communications. Plenty of students waitlist this class every year, so don't register if you're not serious.

Yes, you need to show up every day, but Cam's teaching style and the way he presents concepts made sure I knew everything I needed. You can tell he genuinely cares about every one of his students and wants nothing more than to see his students succeed. Cameron is super organized and gives so much extra credit that my grade was more than 100 for the longest time. His test are very direct, you either know or don't, and there's usually a homework and quiz per week (both pretty easy in my opinion). Anyways, he's the best professor I had this semester, 100% recommend.
