Cam rocks!! Best science course an arts student ever took.

I don't care what course it is, if it's got Cam as a prof, take it. earthsci 020 was my best class last year!

Cam makes this course interesting...too bad that he does not teach the labs :). Still even with the boring labs, I would recommend this course, provided he's still teaching it.

Awesome and hilarious prof. Presents his material in a way that a non-science student can understand. Cam rocks.

Funny lectures, 99% done on powerpoint. All lecture notes available on his website. His tests are a little tough though but his teaching style is pretty good.

Cam is an AMAZING prof. He gives you the straight foward explaination of scientific terms.

Had him first and second term. The most helpful prof i have ever had. Very clear and responds to emails very quick. And he is always in his office if you need help. Need a science, take a class by him!! There is a lot of work to do but there pretty easy! Great class and you will actually remember everything!

Hilarious...he's just so cute...such a little guy at the front of a giant class...really makes geology interesting if you can believe it.

Amazing prof. Takes a course that 95% of the students are in just for the science credit and makes it fun and interesting. Doesn't drone on about rocks the whole time, actually uses good analogies and adds humor to it. Always willing to help, really cares about his students, and definitely empathizes with us.

AMAZING prof, show great passion for what he is doing, going as far as to act out how a dinosaur walks. He was extremely smart in his lectures, and assignments allowed a personal touch to be added.

Cam is sincere and down to earth. He really cares about students. His classes are great fro non-science students, he is quite organized. If you ever need clarification on any matter, visit him at his office, very kind and makes you feel welcome. Cam is great!

I took two of Cam's classes; Earth, Art & Culture and Intro to Medical and Forensic Geology. He is such an incredible prof. He makes such an effort to ensure that students understand and will help no matter what. He is enthusiastic and loves what he does and it shows. Amazing, fun classes.

Best prof ever!! Went completely out of his way to help me on his own personal time, on several occasions. Hilarious and interesting lectures. I can't say enough. I ended up taking all of the courses he teaches.

He is the best professor I had all of first year. Great guy, always willing to help out students, and is evidently extremely passionate about what he teaches. Great class if you want to learn, have fun, and get a great mark. Do the work and follow his instructions and a 90 is definitely easy. Textbook not necessary

Easy to listen to and had very helpful TA's. I enjoyed his class. His exams are easy if you put enough studying into it. His labs are also super easy.

Amazing guy and prof. Down to earth and easily relates to students. Very clear in his lectures, explains concepts very well, doesn't care how silly he looks to get a point across :P. Labs are practical for learning. He facilitates an environment of approachability which is great if you need help.

The most genuine and humble man I've ever met. He is very welcoming and approachable, and his lectures are concise, informative, and very interesting. His passion shines through and his love for earth sciences will make you love it!

He is a good prof however beware there is a lot of content on exams. Do not take Earth Rocks if you are not interested in it. His lectures are pretty boring but the exams are straight forward if you are prepared to spend a long time studying. Weekly labs which are just time consuming.

Cam is passionate about Earth Sciences and this course, as reflected in his excellent teaching. His lectures are clear and concise and offer necessary information for quizzes and exams. His grading rubric is fair and his tests are relevant and related to the material learnt in class. The labs were challenging but not impossible.

The greatest lecturer I have ever had. Show up to every class and you will have more than enough knowledge for the exams and labs.

Probably one of the most best profs I've had. He knows that not everyone is deeply in love with geology, so he makes it easy to understand by using illustrations and making it applicable to daily life. He genuinely loves what he teaches too, and it's reflected in his lectures.

Cam is a real gem. I took two Earth Science courses to cover my Category C requirement, and going into it I was quite nervous, as I had not taken a science course since Grade 10. However, Cam covers material in a way that makes it both fascinating and simple. I suggest heavy memorization and regurgitation on exams. Essays are easy to do well on.

I took Earth Sci 1089. Cam is clearly passionate about his subject but knows it's not everyone's things so tries to make it as relatable as possible. He will make you WORK for your grade - def lecture heavy! Do not take his course because you think it is a "bird course". He made readings accessible online (no textbook) + accessible outside of class

Honestly 1022 was my favourite course this semester. The content and workload is pretty manageable and 90+ guaranteed as long as you put in the effort, most of his lectures for the week are very straightforward and not too long either. Overall super fun. He's a really great guy and has lots of interesting stories.

I really enjoyed Earthsci 1083F and thought Professor Tsujita did a really good job of teaching the course. He explained things clearly and responded to emails fasts. I also took Earthsci 1022 and disagree with the last review. The course isnt super hard. It may only be somewhat difficult if you stopped taking science in gr.10

Found it tough to stay attentive during lecture videos but taught info well. Was helpful at office hours. Labs got tough but if you go to the lab zoom and ask lots of questions you're good. Found the tests and exams very fair with sufficient time. I did not take textbook notes or use it much could've saved money, overall Tsujita did a great job

THE PROF WAS GREAT- IF YOU NEED HIM FOR CATEGORY C REQUIREMENT THE COURSE CONTENT IS BORING BUT OTHERWISE ITS WAS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD. SOME OF THE MATERIAL WAS DIFFICULT TO LEARN IN ONLINE FORMAT BUT HE REALLY TRIED HIS BEST. HOPEFULLY YOU GET A GOOD TA- THE LAB MATERIAL WAS SUPER DIFFICULT AND THE TA MARKING WAS SUPER DISORGANIZED.

Cam is a great prof and set up the course in a very easy to follow way! Gives smaller assignments to make up for poor test or exam grades, explains things very well in the lectures. The first three labs were super easy, bare minimum effort, but the last three were a bit more difficult. If you ask the TA's they helped explain the concepts!

I'm a humanities student and I took his Earth Art and Culture AND his Earth Rocks classes for my science credit (do them in that order!!! 1089 covers what you'll do in 1022, but slower). Clear, engaging, and funny lectures, pretty much the entire test came from the powerpoint, didn't crack open the textbook once. Cool guy, too. Highly recommend

Cam Tsujita MADE my freshman year. First class of my first year at UWO and I loved it. 1083F was a super interesting course and the paper, although time-consuming was enjoyable. TA's are great too. Cam's lectures are really entertaining and engaging and is one of the most underrated profs at UWO. Absolute beauty.

Cam is a legend on campus. He tries to give off a bit of a hard edge appearance but it's pretty clear he loves what he does. Show a modicum of interest in the topic and you will love his classes.

Cam is literally one of the best profs I have ever had in uni. Clearly cares about the content and his student - really passionate overall and it translates to his teaching. I'm in arts but taking his classes have me seriously considering my major to earthsci lol..

Stay on track with work and quizzes and you'll do great in his class. Also labs were fun and easy if you understand his lectures which aren't hard to grasp.

I took this course in my first sem, was not interested in earth sci whatsoever, and took it as an elective. And it was awesome. Cam is SUCH a good professor. He is one of the few profs that truly shows + expresses how interested they are in the material. You can tell how his passion transfers to the students, and in turn, makes them interested too

Cam is an absolute legend. He made what can seem like relatively boring content very interesting. I spent many hungover mornings sitting in his lectures because I enjoyed the class that much. The course is weighted heavily in tests, but they are fair, with flexibility. Pay attention, go to lectures, and you can pull a 90+ just as easily as I did.

Cam was the best professor. His course reminded me of high school geography. By attending the lectures and completing the labs you can easily pull a 90. He is very helpful in office hours, checking over your labs and going over concepts with you. He tests exactly what he teaches in lectures. If you did well in high school science, take this!

I studied with Cam 2002-06 doing my Double Major in Bio & Geo. Cam was the 1st professor that encouraged me and believed in my potential. Initially I had awful experience in my 1st year doing BA deg esp with economics. But working with Cam volunteering for Earth Sci dept doing summer research on brachiopods was some of my best experience at UWO.

Pretty awesome! He teaches in a simplistic way, and isn't trying to overwhelm his students with uneeded info. Tests relate to lectures, and he explains complicated topics in understandable metaphors.

Cam is a great prof!! His lectures were always easy to follow along and entertaining. He made science much more enjoyable for me to learn. 10/10 would take one of his classes again.

Awesome courses! Very fun lectures that are straight-forward and interesting. The only difficult things about both of these courses were the mid-terms and final exams because you have to memorize A LOT of course content. But the course content is generally interesting, so that helps a bunch. No need to memorize any formulas so that's a plus.

Tsujita is engaging, funny, and fair. If you're interested in the course material, this class is a breeze. The labs do get increasingly more difficult, especially in the structural geology portion of the term; using the 3D models he supplies is highly recommended. Pay attention in lectures and know how to explain the processes, and you'll get an A.

Funny and engages in a lot of outreach with students. Never goes too far off topic but still has a good time. Great class!!

Really nice and passionate guy. Exams were very fair. Try to fully understand the processes and what's going on as opposed to memorizing since it is very content heavy and could get difficult. Labs did get tricky near the end and studying for the lab tests is crucial. Accessible outside class, great professor.

Cam is super funny, makes lectures fun and you can earn a big portion of your grade by leaving forum posts and doing well on the lab exams. The midterm was definitely difficult but the final was extremely easy, could definitely get a 90+ if you study well. The class in general is super interesting, would recommend as a bird for sure.

Cam explains concepts well and is always available if you have questions. He made a mini book of important chapters to avoid needing a full textbook.. but if you pay attention in lectures, you don't need the textbook anyways. He is an amazing prof and I will definitely be taking another one of his courses - and I don't even like science! Cam ROCKS!

Cam is a nice professor but Earth sci 1022 is soooooooo hard. i took it as my elective course cuz i thought i was a bird course but NO. its still possible to get good grades if u studied and are good at it. im not.

Best grade received in University so far - and I'm not a STEM student! Labs get tough for sure, but he and his TAs are extremely helpful. Fantastic prof, fantastic class.

Wasn't super engaged with the material as I was taking it as an elective, but overall a solid professor. Very passionate and knowledgeable about the material. Can't think of any flaws.

This was a great class by a great professor. Shout out to my TA Ezra, who was accommodating and helpful. Learned a lot about a newer subject. Would highly recommend. As long as you take notes in lecture, attend all the labs, ask for help when you don't understand, you are set!

Cam is honestly so great! I had him for both 1022B and1089 (RECOMMEND for breadth requirements). He is super accessible, willing to work with and help you, and literally attended labs in which he personally explained concepts to me. Class is soooo doable. Helps if you attend lectures but you can get away with skipping some too.

Super bird course + great prof. Cam was accessible outside of class and came to labs to help students. His jokes in class were awesome! Class itself is a bird course. 15% of the course is free (Unproctored quizzes and forum posts) Labs which make up 30% are a lot of fun and are really easy to do well. Overall great grade booster, will take again.

Apart from Cam being a great lecturer, he's also a great person. He constantly assured the class to reach out for help if needed and always attended the labs to help students. If you go to lecture and put effort, should be an easy A.

NON SCIENCE STUDENTS PLEASE READ BEFORE TAKING: Cam is actually such a gem—funny, sweet, total rock nerd. But don't let the “for non-science students” thing fool you. This course is insane. So much memorization, and content-heavy. Says focus on concepts, but you totes need everything. Also, 1/3 was an evil TA who nuked 10% off my paper for funsies.

I LOVE PROFESSOR CAMERON TSUJITA! He's a really enjoyable person. Don't do the readings - everything you need is in lectures (and he uploads transcripts for each.) I also reached out to him for advice on more science courses to take for my interests (I'm not in science) and he gave me a list of options for the coming year with prof names. Love.

Cam is awesome. He wears shirts like "I get along better with rocks than people" but it's super easy to tell he cares about his students immensely given how passionate he is with his lectures and teaching. Definitely would recommend. Rocks are pretty swag and Cam is a great prof!

Cam Tsujita is an amazing professor. He explains that he wasn't always a science-y student so he explains concepts because he knows not everyone taking his class may be a science student either. I took this course 2 yr ago but thought I would write a review now because this is the course that made me want to pursue a minor in geology.

For those taking EARTH1022, here are some pointers. - Go to lecture (actually, like there's so much content) - This is an easier science credit, not easy - If your not good at memorization forget it - Cam is kind and interesting, knows his stuff - Very hard to succeed, very hard to fail - Cam does a great job at spacing the weight of each lab/test

Dr. Tsujita's lectures are very descriptive and I could go back and relearn anything I didn't understand during lecture. He also makes brief appearances during labs and answers any questions asked.
