Cami is incredible! I have been to 2 years of school and she is my favorite professor I've ever had! She doesn't give unnecessary assignments, they're all so helpful. She really cares about teaching about special education and has a ton of great experiences to share. This class is required for a prereq for SPED but I would definitely take Cami!!

Cami is awesome! She's very experienced in Special Needs and has great lectures that are personable and engaging. You can tell that she cares about her students and understands how college life is. I love Cami! You can see how passionate she is about special education. Her lectures were amazing, super informative but she made it fun! The most demanding part of the course is the 10 hours you need to spend in a classroom, but the work is easy you just have to put the effort in. There is a weekly quiz but if you read the chapters they're easy.

Cami is great! The largest parts of your grade is an in-class experience in a local special education class of your choice for 10 hours. Lectures are easy to understand and pay attention to. Awesome class with a lot of beneficial information whether you are doing elementary, secondary, special Education or any others!

I had this class only once a week. There was a quiz due from our reading each week, maybe one or two other homework assignments, but the biggest thing was having to observe a special needs classroom. I found it super easy, you only need 10 hours and you write a couple of papers on it. Bam, done.

The class is super lecture heavy but in a good way. She makes you be involved which is always fun. The assignments can get a little confusing but don't hesitate to ask. She is so willing to help you if you let her know.

This professor requires actual participation. If she knows you're coming to class, and that you are willing to work for a grade, she grades generously.

In her class we would have big group discussions, Q&A sessions, group presentations and really engaging activities. Her assignments made sense and weren't excessively hard. I took this class online as a first block, summer class. It was a lot of work in a short amount of time. It's totally doable though and Cami is amazing to work with. She's very understanding and clear on her expectations. You do have to read the textbook and do the work, but it isn't hard. You learn a lot and she's a great professor to have.

I LOVE Cami! She is my all time favorite professor at UVU. This class was so incredibly interesting and the research paper you have to write was honestly so interesting. SPED law is such a deep topic but Cami is a fantastic teacher and I honestly learned so much.

I took this class online and it was a great option. Assignments were due each Sunday. Professor Burton did allow anyone to redo their assignments when they were not satisfied with their grade and she gave feedback if something was done incorrectly. You are supposed to ask other students when you have a question before asking her Grades scale is 0-4

Online class is really reading heavy. If you don't you will definitely not get a great score on the quizzes, as they directly take quotes/ideas from the PowerPoints/textbook. However, the teacher is easy to get in contact with and she is really good at keeping her 'classroom' and assignments organized. I knew what was expected of me every week.

She is great and only wants you to learn the material. No extra busy work just to make more assignments. Has weekly quizzes from the text but they are straightforward.

Professor Cami Burton was so amazing. This class was completely online but she took time to comment on every single assignment I submitted throughout this course. You could tell she truly cared about her student's learning and success.

Cami is a very caring professor! She provides feedback on assignments constantly, which I appreciate. This class was very informative about AT, I learned a lot. This class may be difficult for people who have trouble doing assignments if there's no stress of a due date. She accepts late work which is a blessing and curse.

Cami is a great professor who actually cares about her students, she makes the class pretty easy and I think is just limited by the University's standards for the class. If she had full reign then the class would be so much better, which I think just gives more credit to her as a teacher.

Cami was so nice and always responded to emails. I never had a grading issue. With this being online, I could get ahead as much as I wanted to. No locked assignments, which was nice. I WOULD RECOMMEND TAKING HER!!

I absolutely adore Professor Burton. She's quick to respond if you have questions and doesn't bombard you with a million assignments. The assignments are very helpful when going into an Elementary or SpEd career. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Professor Burton was easily one of my favorite professors that I have had. She had the most positive classroom learning environment and was always so passionate about her profession, her students, and helping us succeed. She always had a smile on her face and taught you as an individual. Homework was helpful and reasonable. Take from her!!!!!

Professor Burton is a wonderful teacher! Even though the class was online she would involve us in different projects that we could do and it helped to learn the material. She also cares about her students, and loves what she teaches.

There was definitely a lot of work for this class, and some of the assignments would take hours to complete, especially the IRIS modules. However, professor Burton was very understanding and flexible when it comes to late assignments (good late policy) or doing assignments wrong in this class (will let you redo them).

This was definitely my favorite class this semester! There was so much to learn, and professor Burton made it interesting and fun. There were presenters brought in as well, and the change in lectures helped to keep things more interesting.

Professor Burton is invaluable and irreplaceable to the Special Education program at UVU. She is an engaging, thoughtful professor whose years of experience in the field allow her to bring personal insight and knowledge into the classroom. This class was incredible and taught me a lot about a topic I was completely unfamiliar with.

Cami is an amazing professor! She always answers your questions, she is kind, and she cares about her students. I felt like I learned a lot in her class and that she had it organized really well. I could go into Canvas and see what assignments were due and when for the entire semester. She also scheduled guest speakers which was fun!

Cami is a great professor! This class was definitely hard and assignment heavy, but she guided us through our assignments and always was willing to answer questions. She has great stories she shares, and knows what she's talking about. She cares about her students and I feel like I understand how to write an IEP after this class.

Cami is a fantastic professor, and her years of experience teaching and writing IEPs, make her a perfect match for this class. She gives excellent feedback and makes sure you understand each section of the IEP before moving on to the next. This class does have a lot of homework, but it never felt like "busy work" and was always relevant.

Cami Burton is seriously my favorite professor I've had at UVU. She is awesome. Very relatable and funny but more importantly, she cares about her job. Professor Burton cares about this subject and is very inspiring. I took this class online, but her powerpoint presentations felt like an engaging lecture. I learned so much and actually decided to go into special ed because of this class. The textbook was interesting as well!

I have no qualms with this class or this professor. I personally struggle with online classes, but Professor Burton clearly thought this classes' curriculum though. It is a very consistent class as far as workload is concerned. It is a very steady flow of information. Beware: Canvas quizzes. But they are all multiple choice.

Cami is amazing. I took her online course which was straightforward and very simple. She gives you the resources to succeed in and outside of the classroom. From what I have heard, the online course was much less rigorous than the in-person classes. Definitely would recommend.

This was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Although it was easy, I still learned a lot from this class. There are not any quizzes or exams and it is based off of weekly assignments (one 45 minute assignment a week). I would definitely take from this professor again.

This class was awesome, my only complaint is you really learn from the textbook but the textbook was expensive and the style it was written in is very annoying. They draw out and repeat a lot of information to make each chapter about 20 pages. I would have preferred if there was standard lecture.

She's a really great professor. There were a couple things she tried that didn't work out, but she recognized them and decided to do better. A good, personal perspective of her subjects.

I loved this class so much. Getting to work with students helped me grow as a future educator, and the lessons helped me learn more about myself. It opened my eyes to how ADHD and dyslexia impact learning, and gave me tools to manage my own struggles while supporting others. This class was meaningful, eye-opening, and one of my favorites. :)

This class was amazing! We had 10 volunteer hours in a special education class, so beware. Cami gives lots of opportunities to get involved with special education opportunities. Less exams, more projects that were fun to create! I learned a lot in this class and enjoyed my experience.

I took this class online, and it wasn't difficult at all. There were weekly lectures that were usually under an hour long. There were also weekly assignments and a few quizzes. There were two tests as well, but they were open-note. She is very passionate about Special Ed., and it showed up in her teaching. I recommend this teacher.

Professor is very organized and will grade each assignment within an appropriate amount of time. Professor will also give you feedback on how you can improve your grade for the next assignment
