She's hilarious! Great teacher. You have to study hard for tests but she's fair and gracious in giving extra credit.

Class is a great time, but don't take it lightly the test are challenging. Also buy stock in Coke, with more and more students showing up late the stock in coke will surely rise.
Cami is great, class is fun, speeches are hard, buy plenty of coke a cola if you plan on being late any time during the semester.
This professor is one of the worst comm professor I had. Although she is very helpful to the students because she asked her students to do to much. And she is not fair in her grading. Like the others said make sure you have a stock of COLA handy.
She is great. I love the fun we have in class and you only have to bring Coke if you are late so be on time and no coke is needed.
She is so funny and has a great personality.She built on what I learned in High School, so it was pretty easy. Do all your speeches and come to class and you're Golden. My favorite college teacher by far!
Dr. Sanderson is a great teacher. If you are tardy just bring a coke and you are fine. Her grading is pretty easy, just follow the format and an A is easily obtainable. She is also very funny and makes class exciting.
Shes an awesome teacher, very easy to get an A. You better get on her good side and don't let her evil twin come out. Just remember that you better get good grades on your speeches and on your tests!

Loud with behavior showing the tell tale signs of bipolar disorder. She is an EASY teacher, not a good one. Girls do better than guys on her grading scale. She’s nosy & violates privacy rights of students. Spends her office hrs on yahoo chat.
The class is fairly easy, but definately don't get on her bad side. She loves hockey and it shows if there is a hockey player in your class. She does say how she feels all the time. Don't get offended.
I don't like Public Speaking at all...but Cami made the class setting very comfortable. The class ended up being fun, and I got an A...even though I can't stand talking in front of people. Cami is hilarious.
She is way too enthusiastic-I am usually an A student but I got B's and C's on her speeches. She plays out the immaturity level of the freshmen. If you are a good suck up-take her as a teacher,but if you want the grade you deserve- dont take her.
Pretty easy class.. Made it easy to get up in front of people to talk. I would recommend her to others. Really funny, and enthuisastic. Doesn't beat around the bush, just straight to the point!
Definitely favors certian students. Participates w/ class & laffs @ other students for mistakes. Not a good teacher. She's the girl that wanted to be popular in H.S. and was picked on, so she does it to others now. Grow up Cami & act professional

I love Cami, I would tell anyone to take her class. She is really cool, and really funny. It's the best class of the day. It's the only class i love going to. She might be a lil looney, but that just adds to the fun in the class! Grading wise is okay too :)
whatever you do, dont take her class, she either loves you or hates you and she judges people very quickly, i had her class for one day- or at least i could only sit through it that long. Very odd lady- feel sorry for the guy shes married to!
Had her for interviewing.Her classes are very unstructured.She never gives a clear description of how the interviews should be conducted.She does play favorites.However,I wasn't her favorite but still got an A-. Just make sure you remember to do every little thing on her grading sheet!
Cami is..interesting. She is clear what she wants for your speech. I have some disputes with her grading; however, I still passed with an A. The speeches aren't terribly difficult. She lets you choose your topic. She assigned 4 I believe.
This was one of the hardest classes I have had to take at Ferris. I feel the work I put into it really paid off. I learned a ton! This class definitly fits the Ferris philosophy of learning by doing!
Sure she's funny, but not everyone is good with speeches and she expects them to be. And who really wants to do 5 min long impromtus when all the other classes that you hear about are doing 60 sec ones. Oh yeah, and if you don't reach the 5 min mark, you get to do another one.
Whoever wrote that last review is just stupid. Cami is a great teacher. Just because she expects some effort doesn't make her a hard teacher. This is college, right? She let's you know what she wants and if you do that it's an easy class. She's pretty funny, too.
Yeah Sanderson is awesome. As far as the improptu goes. Yeah its 5 minutes but she basically pushes you through it. Some people didnt make the 5 min mark so she started giving them ideas to keep going and as soon as they hit 5, they got an A. She is very nice and it was a fun class. My fav class and I hate speeches!!!
I don't know how anybody can dislike her. Like other people said, If you are having trouble with a speech she will walk you through it. Great teacher and loves the subject and that shows.
Great teacher. Very laid back, the assignments are detailed, but shes very clear about what was needed & open to questions. Overall she was extremely helpful and fun to be around!
She's soo funny, I think she should quit teaching and start her own Stand-up comedy haha, yeah she will be making more money. She's nice and helpful, she grades you by herself, she doesn't let other classmates grade you like other professors do. She's a beautiful lady with a real nice hair and cool clothes. The main point is SHE IS SUPER FUNNY haha
I think Dr. Sanderson should give up teaching. Her teaching style is boorish and her grading system is biased so she can control your final grade. She is quite impressed with herself so do not disagree with her unless you are ready to sacrifice your GPA. This class is not for critical thinkers, find another professor.

Exams were extremely easy, was nearly impossible to get a good grade on speeches. Everyone, the worst and best speakers, all got B's or C's on speeches. Easy exams make up for difficult speeches.
She is a horrible instructor. She is very high on herself and grades way too hard for the amount of work (more like lack thereof) that she puts into this class. Her notes are impossible to understand and the book she chose is worthless. If you care about your GPA, take someone else. I wish I could get my money back...
8 week class so a speech is due every other week. You will talk in front of the class EVERY week one way or another. If you don't have very much experience talking in front of groups I would take a lower level course or two first. She is pretty hard on the grades too. Take this class with another instructor if you want an A.
Terrible teacher. She will fool you into thinking she is lots of fun, don't be fooled. Class is very difficult. She grades on the quality of your typed outline, not the quality of your speech. She puts very little effort into class, expects that you put way more effort in than should be expected. No fun, loads of work. I will not miss this class.
Hardest C I ever earned in my life. Everything is subjective. If you do not follow what she is looking for, you will get a lower grade. Show up to know what she is looking for and for what she is expecting from the outlines. TAKE another prof if you can, take other COMM classes to be ready as well.
I agree with everyone else here. She picks out people she likes and they become her favorites. I earned a B+ and one of my peers got an A after missing one of her speeches and laughing through another. I had one bad outline and that was because I followed the book.The book is worthless. Share with others as you will only use it for one assignment.

I would not recommend this class she is very judge mental and it?s her highway and no other way. if you not a communication minor or major she will not even know you exists and if you don't exists you won't get the grade, even though your peers might grade you well.. she will not unless your on her favorites list.

Great class -- she taught me a lot about job interviews so I will be ready for the real ones. I would recommend taking this class. She is really funny!
Pick someone else if you want to keep your GPA.
Worst class I have ever taken. She forgets to put grades in. Then you have to prove you turned assignments in. She also enters grades in wrong. She is really unclear in what is expected and words things tricky. She would rather talk about hockey and cancel class than to actually teach and give you what you paid for. I highly recommend being a hocke
I would not reccommend her, she is a tough grader, judgemental, swears all the time, gives tons of homework, and just seems like she would rather be home than teaching us. Very strange also...
If your a comm major take her. Otherwise take Neil Patton if you want a good grade. Cammi grades extremely HARD!
Does not lecture. Did not take not for the last 1.5 months of the class. Grades super hard. Had a project with time limit of 10-12 min.. was 10.5 mins.. gave us 92/100 for time. Forgets to enter grades and enters them wrong. Hockey players and comm majors have it a lil easier. Flaky, cusses a lot, requires bribes for lateness. Waste class time
This professor does not teach the material required for the tests. When she assigns papers for the group to do, she grades them very harshly! She even said in one of her classes that almost nobody gets an A in her class. She likes it that way.
Avoid her! Seems to play favorites with the hockey players and fans. Lectured regularly for the first few months and then stopped. We had project after project all semester. Tends to grade rather harshly. Slow to grade and she is unorganized. If you like hockey and the Minnesota Vikings, take her. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.
Horrible professor. Sets up speeches so they take a long time to do and is hard when you actually have to give the speech. She is also a complete BITCH. Should flat out be fired from the University and blacklisted from others. If you somehow get her class drop ASAP!
She plays favorites, she grades like you should be a professional, she doesn't teach what to do before giving assignments, she talks about things that are irrelevant to the course and its always about hockey or her "engaged to never be married" fiance Tom.
She is very unclear at times about what she wants from her speech. She grades very hard but she is funny. Don't take her if you want to keep a good GPA. She does play favorites so if you get stuck with her try to talk about how much you love twix and water regardless if you really do. that way you can get on her good side.

Very helpful gave everyone a chance to redo their speeches at end of semester to receive a better grade. You will only get out of this class what you put in.

Dr. Sanderson was a great teacher. She gave us a make up day for any speech that we did bad on. Class participation is easy points and a lot of them.
She is one of those teachers that is "out there" but overall had a good experience in her class. She talks really fast, switches up words and some times only says half a word, which is funny because it's public speaking, but she is more nice then confusing. If you show some effort on your speeches she will grade you accordingly. Why not try her?
She tells you exactly what needs to be done and the quizzestests are almost word for word her notes, which she basically writes for you. She gives you a lot of freedom with speeches, but sometimes she's really picky when grading. If you are slightly "off" with some requirement, she deducts points. But she gives a lot of extra credit. Funny woman.
She gets off topic extremely easily so a lot of times you don't exactly know what you're learning and what is important to know. She is very picky on little things in speeches but if you give a speech on a topic she likes she grades you easier. She never taught us a whole page of our final exam so half the class failed a large section of the exam.
Expect her to be crazy, loud and full of energy at pretty much every class. She is nice and very enthusiastic about what she teaches but isn't always completely clear on how you should be giving yours. She tends to get off topic a lot in class. She was a little picky on grading criteria for speeches as well.

Dr. Sanderson was a great teacher. I enjoyed her class because, and I came to learn. If you listen to her instructions, every assignment is easy.

This professor really failed in communication towards her class. She made the online format more difficult than it needed to be. Feedback is always hard to understand. She takes up quite a bit of time just talking about herself and not the material we are going over in the class period. I didn't enjoy this professor at all and do not recommend her.
For an online class, it is not well organized. For being a communication class, you would think the professor would have better communication....
Has no clue what she wants for any assignment, rubric changes have been made after assignments are turned in, grades heavily on stuff not mentioned in rubric.
DO NOT TAKE. She does not give guide lines for any assignment. When you ask for help she is not helpful. She grades hard, when you ask for an explanation she is very blunt and not helpful.

Professor Sanderson is fun and passionate about the classes she teaches. The only issue I had was she took points off of an assignment even though I had to go to the hospital. She does not tolerate ANY late work. Other than that, the activities are interesting and the quizzes are straight forward. Good class overall!
Don't let the title of this class fool you. Communication was not a strong suit of this professor. This class was terrible. I wish I had taken it with someone else. I would follow the rubric to write my paper, then when it was time to grade she would grade on rules that she change after the due date.
Extremely unorganized, cannot find anything in Canvas, instructions for assignments are novels and after you spend hours upon hours thinking you're doing good she will give you the worst grade just because. Grading criteria is wild. Just save yourself especially if you are not comm major.
I would just like to preface I ended this class with an A and it was still some of the worst grading I have seen from a professor. Her prompts and rubrics were so vague, and even if you followed them exactly as the prompt said, she would still give you random corrections. Save your sanity, say no to Sanderson. However, she is a nice woman
This course suffered from vague, overly long assignment instructions with unclear expectations and grading standards. Students spent more time interpreting what was required than learning the material. The lack of structure made the class frustrating and reduced its overall educational value.
