This was a good class for me. English is not my thing, but she was super helpful. She made the assignment pretty doable and a lot of the essay topics were up to us . Sometimes that made it easy, but sometimes it was hard for me. It really helped that she was easy to talk to. I'd take her again -- if I ever have to take another eng class.

she hates lateness and excuses. she's a no-nonsense type but also very easy to talk to. that confuses some people who expect her to be a push over and may resent it when they find out she's not. i had some troube at the start of class but she sat down with me and helped me a lot. a nice person.

She uses handouts which are very helpful and she explains everything clearly. She makes sure you understand before moving on. She has a gentle manner and her approach definitely worked for me in making a compulsory course go down easy.

She was a good teacher. Her grading policy was precise and clear. She helped us put individually which we liked. Just be prepared to have a pop quiz when she tells you to go home and a read a particualr reading. Although these pop quizes were oral and not written, your class participation will raise your grade tremondously.

This professor is very calm and she doesn't give boring assignments. Some of the stories that we read were interesting and fair. I like her because the class was one of the easiest classes to pass. If you're not a good writer, she still accepts it and grades very well. Just don't give her attitude, she's very sweet. ;]

At first the class seemed to move so slow, and she didn't seem to know what she was doing. But, as the semester progressed, it was wonderful. Prof. Goodison is brillient and her writing is as well. She is very soft spoken, but her work speak for itself, and so does her teeaching skills. A++++++ for her.

Participation is key in her class - even if you feel, you may not be right, it gets you points. Just do the assignments and don't be rude. The readings in her class are interesting. She has a low voice, so sit in the front.

Dont buy the textbook! only 2 essays for one whole semester and one midterm if thats not great i dont know what is. She's every easy to take if you're taking more difficult classes. Wish I took her for eng1101. I got a A- only because of my grammar and punctuation but she let it go & gave me an A because I was constantly participating,read all the materials and just back up your info on your essays & you'll pass with flying colors

One of the better professors in the english department, Professor Goodison is incredibly understanding of her students. I took the class online and she was still incredibly communicative and helpful over email and zoom. I wish I could have had her in person, she was always visibly very sunny as a person.

She works very hard and so does the class. She works hard and gets good results and that leads to resentment and bullying from others who are unhappy. She'll spend hours working with people. Very patient and knows her stuff.

We had weekly responses relating to the class readings. The responses were 3-5 paragraphs. The main tasks were the 3 essays and a final reflection paper.

Weekly blackboard discussion questions, 3 essays and a final reflection. Very straightforward, she gives examples on how she wants work done, responds to emails quickly and has Zoom office hours, she's the best! Take her!

Professor Goodison is the best Professor . We need more Professors like her in City Tech. She understands that Students have lives out of class . Some students work , have children . She gives a fair amount of time to complete assignments and essays . She is also willing to help. You will love it , take her !

Professor Goodison is a wonderful English teacher, there are a few assignments that are easy and count as participation, two writing assignments, and a final. This wasn't that difficult and I felt like I could express myself in the assignments. I would retake her class if I could. She is very understanding too!

She doesn't assign a lot of work and is very understanding, and is clear that she is always willing to help if you're having trouble. The work that IS assigned is quite easy too.
