Cande might seem like a b*tch at times, but she really wants everyone to get an A and is extremely helpful. Outside of class she's much more laid back, a lot of people are thrown off by her classroom persona, but don't be! Pay attention and do your work and you'll have no trouble at all

AWESOME, AWESOME TEACHER. Sarcastic, witty, and helpful if you show you're trying. Neat projects to do with rotations. You get to do a bit of everything. I can't wait for a chance to take another class with her! Immensely fun to learn in that class, but don't let her catch you sitting (unless it's the 1st lecture days)!

Awesome professor! She knows what she's talking about. As long as you keep your butt moving during class you will learn so much. the class is a LOT of fun. An easy class and a wonderful experience!

Cande is a great teacher. If you don't like being yelled at dont take the class. She's not mean or anything, she just wants you to get used to the real world. Easy class if you like operating cameras and directing. Going to be taking 3A with her next term. FUN CLASS. Got to know all the people in the class pretty awesome. Take this class!

Cande is an awsome teacher. She is very hands on. She yells a lot but its not to be men its just to get the point across. I came into the class thinking that i would be the odd man out, but i came out with soem really cool friends. Just be there all the time and actually tr most of the time and should have no problem getting an A

candice is the most BORING teacher on the face of the planet!! i hated going to her class more than anything, sure i got an A but she plays favorites and her ENTIRE class is a joke. journalism is my major and i couldn't tell you one thing i learned from her class! waste of time!

An awesome teacher... I would recommend her to anybody. She does use colorful language and yells at you if you sit around while other people do the work, but is EXTREMELY fair and helpful Laid-back and funny, I particularly enjoyed her many amusing stories of her days working in the industry.

Great lectures, tries to keep it fun while still going through the nesscessary and sometimes boring material! Her assignments are easy and straightforward, so just do them for the points. She has a great review session and tells you what the tests will cover so don't miss them!

What an awesome teacher. You do have to write a bit, but all in scriptwriting format so it's easy. Would recommend her to anyone who had the slightest interest in this subject, usually watch clips from movies in every class to illustrate the points she makes. I'm taking her next semester for sure.

Highly recommend her JMO1 online class. You'll get an easy and light workload, and the topics actually tend to be interesting. An easy A, but she also seems a more than decent teacher.

Besides being an easy class, Cande is GREAT! Her lectures are fun to listen to because she's hillarous! Cande's straightforward and tells you what exactly what she expects from you. This class is an easy A. Just complete all your 5pt assignments, take notes, and attend class and you'll be walking out with an A.

This class is really easy. Simply do the papers and its an A. the midterm and final are so so easy! And its possible to get enough extra credit to not have to do the Final or even the Term paper. RECOMMEND!

The Real Deal, the online class is very easy and you will learn some interesting facts along the way. Tests and Web Exercises take less then 10 mins to finish. I would take another class with her if i could. Highly recommend this class. Its a super easy A.

Really great professor. She's my favorite in all of Moorpark College. Her grading is more than fair and you can really tell that she loves teaching!

tremendous teacher. I usually don't do as well in larger classes such as hers but she was able to connect with each and every student and continued to make me not only interested in her class but motivated to go p.s. my class was at 8 am (and I am not a morning person)

Cande is so chill and funny. hw is super easy. you do have a midterm, a final, and a 10 page paper to write, but you chose what you want to do in the class depending on if u like the grade prior to doing the final or paper.

She is awesome. I am still enrolled but so far im having a blast if your major is film or related to it you won be disappointed she is great all it is once a week hw 1 pg paper and 2 test and a paper. I recommend her 100% you will always be entertained.

Took the online class. DONT BUY THE BOOK. She provides lecture notes and the test questions come right from them. Each week, 1 discussion, 1 quiz (8 questions), and 1 web assignment. Very very easy class.

Larson is one of my favorite professors, she's cool, nice, and really funny. Her notes cover all the material and if you copy them down you don't need the book at all she gives tons of extra credit and some people dont have to take the final or do the paper because of it. VERY EASY A. Doesn't need a text book. If you just pay attention a little bit in class, and do your weekly one page assignments, you will get an A. Candy is very funny, and her lectures are entertaining. She offers TONS of extra credit. I got to skip the final essay assignment and fail the test because my grade was already so high.

One of the most amazing experiences I've had in a lecture class has been with Cande Larson, she has a TV background and she is as real as it comes, I've learned so much in this class. Make sure to turn in your weekly papers! you have opportunities to get extra credit and you might even skip the final for being that good! she is tons of fun!

Super easy and fun class. Took summer 6 weeks 12 classes. Lectures are interesting because Candy makes them fun. She understands the students. 50% of gade is 10 5pt single page papers. 2 tests, each have study guides which are 100% the test. Extra credit for staying to watch films.

If you want an easy A definitely take this class. The material is interesting and the workload isn't too bad. Every week we have a discussion board, have to respond to other's posts, a quiz, and a web-excursion. All are pretty easy. If you're taking this online do not buy the book!! She puts lectures online.

Candy is a legend. I took her for Intro to Mass Communications. And planning to take more w? her! She's hilarious and can make her lectures interesting and fun. There's a total of like 16 assignment; about 1-2 pages but super freaking easy. 2 finals--she gives you a study guide literally with the answers on the, so just memorize that and boom A+.

I had her for Mass CommMedia & Society. The content was often a bit boring but she made it worth it to stay in class. She does hand out a lot of assignments (mainly 1-2 page papers) but they're always easy. If you stay on top of the assignments and attend class, you can walk away with over 100%.

Candy is by far the best professor I've had at Moorpark! She is absolutely hilarious and so, so nice and approachable. At the end of the semester she met with everyone to try and figure out how to get them the highest grade possible. Really wants her students to succeed. My attendance wasn't great (it was an 8 am class) and I still got an A!

Cande is awesome! Took her for online class intro to mass comm and it was super easy, either a quiz, an assignment, or a discussion assigned weekly and she gives you two weeks to get it done. I also took her for a couple film classes which she was awesome in as well. If you have the chance definitely take Cande!

Candy is the greatest teacher ever! If you have the opportunity to take her make sure you do. Do all your hw and review her study guides and you will receive an A! She's really funny and I always watched the moviesshows she showed clips of in class.

Cande is the best, honestly I've taken 6 of her classes. She is pretty blunt and hilarious, and she gives great study guides for her exams. There is never a dull moment with Cande.

Her media aesthetics class was great, I have taken almost all of her classes. Cande is an awesome teacher. I wish she had more classes for me to take.

Cande is cool, but as the semester progressed she got more and more sarcastic with students. In this class, there are several smaller assignments, a simple presentation, and a 10 page script you have to write. There's an easy midterm, and no other tests. Make sure you turn in your stuff, or you won't pass. Oh, and she always accepts late work.

She gives you a study guide with the exact answers that'll be on the test so there's no way you can't pass her class. WARNING if you decide to take her TV STUDIO class, when it comes time for you to be recorded, it will appear on you tube, so if you don't want that,do not take that class. She gets pretty annoyed if you ask her questions(depends).

Easiest class I've ever taken. I would recommend this class to anyone who needs an easy A for an elective. I found this class to be really cool and interesting! She just takes a while to respond to e-mails.

Love this professor! No funny business but so entertaining to listen to. Just show up and be quiet and you'll do just fine.

Candice is a great professor. She is a little intimidating at first, due to her serious/sarcastic nature but I think you'll find her quite entertaining. She does make the lectures tolerable and interesting. It is a class that you can easily pass, as long as you do the assignments and turn them in on time. The book is not really necessary.

I took her online FTVM M03 class and it was SO easy. The class moves in 2 week increments, so you have lots of time to get the work done. There are 1-2 discussions per section, and you have to respond to 4 other posts. All of the answers to the quizzes, midterms, finals etc. can be found in the previous class notes.

Intro to media aesthetics with Candi was so interesting and super easy! she gives great lectures and you watch an episode of a TV show every week. you also have to write a 2 pg paper on each lesson, and there's a midterm and final that are word for word the study guide. very easy class and she's really nice and funny.

One of the easier classes I've taken at Moorpark. She isn't a very hard grader, so you're essentially just graded by whether or not you complete the discussions, quizzes, and papers. Put in the effort and you'll get an A!

I took this online class to meet a requirement for my gen ed, and it was the easiest and most fun classes I've taken. There is a lot of required writing each week, but the online class was only 4 weeks! Also all the questions on the midterm and final are the exact same as the questions on the quizzes, so make sure to make a cheat sheet!

She's a G. Just do the homework and it'll be easy to pass with at least a B+

This is my second class taken with this professor (Both Online), and I realized early that she doesn't actually grade your papers you turn in, for example I turned in my final paper being 2 pages instead of 5, with 0 citations instead of the mandatory 2, and I still received a 100/100. Thats just lazy grading, and same thing with her weekly HW.

Very fun class if you are an ftvm major. You learn a lot, but it's stressful sometimes. She yells at you when you mess up or don't understand anything, but she means well. You meet a lot of cool people in the class who are interested in the same stuff as you/ Very easy class.

Professor Larson was such a great prof! Easy grader, and very clear on assignments and due dates. Quizzes per each module, and two large papers for the semester (gives you plenty of time to start them) along with weekly homework. Light reading, just from the module she posts, no textbook for the online class.

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE FTVM MO1, TAKE HER SUMMER ONLINE CLASS. It's pretty easy, all you have to do is get a certain amount of work done each week. She responds to your canvas messages pretty quickly and is always very supportive and understanding. AND she doesn't grade hard at all. I didn't even try too hard, I just did the work each week.

Easiest class you can take! Took this online for a GE and it was an easy A. every week you do a discussion, quiz, and two page paper on different subjects. Make sure you write down all the answers from the quizzes since they are literally your midterm and final. Definitely take this class if needed.

Easy class, especially online, just follow instructions on prompts and discussions and you will be fine. It is hard not to get an A,unless you dont do some of her assignments or do poorly on her quizzes which are worth twenty points that have ten questions, a midterm and final that has 50 questions worth fifty points,and a final pape worth 100 pts

Cande Larson is a stone cold killer. She is really sweet to her new students, but the longer you stay with her, the more you realize if she picks on you, it's because she sees potential in you. She tries her best to prepare you for the work place. If it weren't for her, I don't think I would have continued to do film. Just show up!

The class is an easy A as long as you do your work. I took her internet courses for Intro into Media Aesthetics and Intro into Mass Communications so I never actually spoke to her, meaning my review is based on her workload only. In both there are 1-2 discussion posts a week with a mandatory 4 student interactions, one 2-3 page essay and 1 quiz.

Pretty easy class for an 8 week class. Completely online with no lectures. Mainly 2 discussions per week and you have to reply to 4 people, which was kinda time consuming, but not bad.

Super fun class and makes me see movies in a different way! For an intro to media writing class, I wish we learned more about how to format and actually write stuff a bit more, since we were kinda just thrown into writing the beginning of our script without learning much. We learned a lot about how to structure stories and she gives good feedback!

Class: Intro to Mass Communications. The papers and assignments have a clear rubric and grading system. Since I took a four-week online class, the workload was EXTREMELY heavy. She graded very easily- I received 100% on every single assignment. The only critique is that most papers required outside research and sources that she does not provide.

Super easy class, although had to write a decide-size essay twice a week. Decent amount of reading. Super nice professor. Honestly not to hard, most people come out with A's

Class was overall fun and not too hard. You won't need to reference the lectures too much because the material is provided, so I don't have much to say about the teaching. The work load isn't too bad. It's mainly essays about media, but they don't require outside research. Additionally, the topics are interesting so they're easy to do.

Online half-semester Intro to Mass Comm course. Very straightforward; every week one chapter reading, discussion, and 2-page MLA paper graded easily. It is likely the nature of online classes, but the course wasn't very stimulating. However, from what I've heard and gathered, Cande would be a great professor in person.

Cande is AWESOME! A little intimidating but obviously very caring. Very reasonable workloads and creates a great atmosphere in class. Very supportive and encouraging and happy to help. A lot of experience in the industry as well, so gives good advice for getting into the business. I highly recommend intro to screenwriting and TV Studio.

Digital Editing M170 can be hard but if you show up to every class & pay attention to everything she teaches youll be good. Shes willing to help with any questions about the editing server Avid. Homework was a discussion post & 2 page paper analyzing editing from scenes a week but shes a very easy grader. Highly recommend Cande Larson shes amazing.

Professor Larson is a great professor. I took her mass communications class over summer and it was pretty easy class. She truly wants all her student to succeed. There was a lot of reading so just be prepared for that. Great professor would take one of her classes again.

Professor Larson has a LOT of assignments and essays for intro to media aesthetics. You will have to write three paragraphs per discussion, then respond to four people and each response has to be at least 3 sentences. Shes nice but very little engagement. Just do the work and you should get a good grade

Really great professor. She teaches you well and gives you time to be able to understand the editing software. Assignments on the online portion feel more like busywork but editing in class is very fun and you are given full creative freedom. She wants you to do your best and what more could you want from a professor.
