A very enlightening class. Assigns great books to read. Teaches about life, not just boring facts. Just a very interesting individual.

Really nice and pleasant lady. Cheerful all the time. Little bit quirky. Group discussions make the class more interesting. Not too hard, just study the book and take notes. I enjoyed the class a lot!

She is a very clear teacher with tests that are on the material. her tests are not hard adn they are multiple choice.

I have NO idea what all these people are talkin about.. she's awesome! no papers due ,and no attendance. Its all on ur terms. She laughs at herself all the time and makes the class laugh along w/ her. If u don't get somehting, she'll sit and explain it. only 4 tests plus final, and she drops lowest!

Very easy and nice teacher. She's a bit weird though - makes you read a book that has nothing to do with psychology because she wants you to believe in her weird religion. I wish there was more science-related material in the class.

Ohh come on she's great!Flute tapes are to relax u! not 2 lure you in 2 some cult or anything. Not super easy but just study. She even has a v-tape of advice on how 2 study! Depak Chopra book: don't take it so personal! it's just a book. She's great! Liked her, and would take her again!

she is great. if you pay attention to what she say's and discusses during our study group discussions, i see no reason why you cannot get an A. you do need to pay attention in class and give up the high school mentality. my suggestion: take her class.

It is your typical Psychology class. You should do well if you study even a little. The flute tape is totally aggravating! And Deepak Chopra is a small, interresting read, but it should not have been mandatory for the class. Chopra doesn't really even relate to serious modern psychology practices.

a VERY easy A, if you go to class and read--let's you skip one exam and there is an easy group project. she plays a retarded flute tape the first few weeks of class, but other than that the cultures studied and readings are very interesting.

I thought this class was very easy, very little effort involved in passing was taking a full class load and this was my skate class. If you take notes and do well on tests it is an easy A.

Ms. Goodfellow is a terrific instructor. Her class is so easy (A is very likely). Also, she's respectful of her students. I love this class and this instructor as well. Soo relaxing! In fact, this class doesn't take up much of your time. Believe me, it's true! Highly recommended.

I'm currently halfway through this class and I am enjoying it tremendously. I think some of the negative comments come from NEW college students who don't realize that a little effort is required, even if the class is considered "Gen Ed". Read the material, attend class and take notes. That simple. Easy and fair "A".

Theres no homework which means you have to work extra hard on tests. The tests are hard because even when you study all the terms backwards and forwards, shes asks questions that are based around it. It wierd. She is nice and fun and her smile makes you smile, but tough class overall.

A good teacher. Very considerate to students. Very easy to get a B. A little more work to get an A. Some questions request thinking over the material. Know little details. Use of Aronson, The Social Animal + Beck, Prisoners of Hate. Quite a lot of reading. Take good notes. Only multiple choice questions and an easy essay on the Beck's book.

She is a wonderful professor, but a little weird. Her tests are really easy and the book is easy to read. I had her for Psych 18 so there are two tests, one group project and the final,; which is not cumulative. An A is not hard to get. She has a funny sense of humor and I learned a lot about culture abd how to be more open-minded

PROFESSOR GOODFELLOW IS A GREAT TEACHER! SHE EXPLAINS THINGS IN A WAY THAT I UNDERSTOOD. HER TESTS ARE MULTIPLE CHOICE AND THERE'S 4 TESTS, THE ONE W/ THE WORST GRADE SHE DROPS. SHE ALSO GRADES ON A CURVE. I LOVED THIS CLASS! IT MADE ME HAVE AN EVEN GREATER PASSION FOR PSYCHOLOGY AND AN EVEN BETTER UNDERSTANDING. HER PSYCH 1 CLASS IS GREAT!

you should just take this class because of her laugh. heeheehee. it makes you want to come to class so you can imitate it later with your classmates.

Goodfellow was one of the best psych teachers I've had and I'm a psych major. If you go to class and take notes on the lectures it's a breeze and you actually learn a lot. She's very cut and dry so there's no misunderstanding what she means and she's really fun.

She is very nice and has a contagious laugh lol she keeps your attention through out the entire lesson and is an easy grader. Just make sure you read because she does test you on all 3 books. :0)

Great teacher 3 multiple choice exams. Final is not culmulative same as all other tests. One group presentation she gives almost everyone an A+ on it. You do need to buy all textbooks will be tested on but pretty easy if you take good notes it is a fun class.

Her lectures are straight forward and are mostly on the handout packet that she requires you to buy. She likes to test students on trivial things. So pay attention to all the little details that she talks about in class. Overall i think the class was worth taking.

Great teacher. The lectures were very clear and consistent with the required class outline. The 5 tests were pretty hard but the (almost) weekly quizzes were easier and helped to prepare you for the exams. There was also an open-book essay test that required that you read a second text about primates. DO THE READING AND TAKE NOTES.

Some people are upset that a teacher actually makes students learn and study! Drop out if that is too difficult. This class is interesting, the knowledge I gained came in extremely useful at UCLA not to mention life. While she does seem to care more about adopting chimpanzees than caring about humans (who can blame her?) this woman knows her stuff.

i loved her! i took her during winter '08 and to be honest she can be a little weird but she is really cool. her class consist of 5exams drops the lowest score and theres theres no midterm or final. Those people who say she is hard obviously dont appriciate learning. She is great i'm considering changing my major to phych b/c of her class!

She is good, gets distracted easily, doesn't like it to much when you give comments, and she does't always answer questions. If you go see her during office hours, she does take the time to answer questions. Her exams question confused me, need to know all the definitions and have good notes because she does ask questions from there!

Her class is marvelous b/c you get to learn useful info while having fun doing it but there?s a ton of reading that you must do for an A. She?s kind, compassionate, + wise. Sit in the front, pay attention, take good notes, BE ON TIME, read and you have an easy A. She truly stimulates your thinking. Take her, great class, filled w/ positve energy.

Very good professor. Fair, nice, and a bit eccentric (when it comes to things like psychic visions), but she's not hard or mean. If you pay attention, you're likely to get a very good grade...I forgot about the textbook completely. Only downside is that she seems a bit detached, and prefers monkeys in Africa over other people.

Great class and great professor! Attendance isn't mandatory but her lectures are important to connect everything. 4 exams plus final and she drops lowest grade. You need to bring the textbook with you every single day. Her class is extremely easy and if you do the extra credit assignments. Towards the end of the class her lectures get boring because it seems as if she is ready for break. However, her lectures in the beginning are interesting. Study and do the extra credit and you will be fine

Had her for Psych 1 and ECE 18 (AKA psych 18). Very fair. Coming to class and reading the book will easily get you an A with only an hour studying the morning of the test. Her tests are all scantron, but you may get an essay on one exam in ECE 18. If you have any interest in at all psych, she will be fun for you

easy to understand & relates topics to situations we can all relate to.All multiple choice tests(50?s)& quizes(7?s)for quizes you only read one chapt of the book. And the tests are on 2 chpts & a lecture that she give u an outline 4.i wish all college classes were made to simple and easy to follow.No hw other than to read for tests and quizes.

Class was fairly interesting but there is a lot of reading. If you don't like reading about monkeys then dont take her.She has a test every week or so- 4 Exams worth 50pts ea. Final is cumulative and essay on a book. She doesn't care about attendance or give out any extra credit.

Really easy professor, even during a 6-week semester. She engages the class in discussions and really loves talking about social interaction. A bit Piscean (a.k.a. daydreamy and mystical) and obsessed with Native Americans and studying monkeys - she's really just nice and understanding.

Easiest class you'll find in college. Tests all mult choice. Lots of e.c. I thought the class was really boring, but some ppl liked it. You have to do reading, but she explains the complex stuff in class. She's a bit of a closet hippie, but very sweet and approachable.

The most boring class I've ever taken, but also one of the easiest. She is very sweet and is willing to help and encourage students who are having trouble. Took it in winter and it was all mult choice test, with one dropped. She gives lots of extra credit too (page long essays about the reading).

Do the extra credit and you can easily get an A. I was lazy and I didn't do it but still got a B. It was pretty easy to do well in this class.

Pretty easy teacher!One of my favorite teachers at SMC. She can laugh at herself which is so fun to watch. Tests are relatively easy just study the book and her lecture notes. Overall a really unique and hilarious professor. I recommend her to anyone who wants to learn about themselves and the social world around them :)

Her tests are easy, but some questions can be tricky. 2 tests 1 group presentation and final exam. Final is based on all group presentations & one think boook u have to read. She makes you read 2 books & text book. It takes her a long time to get to the point when she lectures.If you miss a test she gives you the same grade u earned on 1st test !!!

Read the book, take good notes, review notes and you should do fine. She grades by points. 7 quizzes, 3 exams, 1 final. Sorta boring, sorta interesting.

I took this class the summer before junior year in highschool and it was one of the easiest A's I've ever gotten. Such a good teacher! You learn so much just through her lectures alone. I took her Summer 2011 6 week class and there was 4 multiple choice tests (she drops the lowest test score) and a multiple choice final. She gives SO many opportunities for extra credit. You could get C's on every exam and still get an A in the class by doing the extra credit!

Dr. Goodfellow is a bit cooky, but her class is really fun and interesting. Make sure to take notes in class and also read the entire chapter (skip parts that the study guide says are unnecessary). She does test on topics in the book, even if she doesn't cover them in class. One test out of four can be dropped, and there is plenty of extra credit.

Psych 1 is basically common sense so all you have to do in this class is listen to what she has to say and take the quizzes which are based on her lecture anyways(everything is in the book if you miss a class but the way she words things make is so much easier to understand if youre kinda lost)she drops lowest quiz and gives so much extra credit :)

She's great! While a little sidetracked at times, Goodfellow makes the class really enjoyable. She wants you to do well. And yes, she's Bonobo crazy! :) Make sure to participate in class. LOTS of reading but it's interesting material. I would highly recommend Goodfellow to anyone. Take her class!

Goodfellow is such a GREAT psych prof!! I took her for a summer and her class was straightforward AND interesting. Veryy clear about what'll be on the tests and also offers e.c. She provides GREAT examples to help you understand the material better. She's very approachable! Such a knowledgable person. She truly loves what she does! Take her :)

Awesome for Psych 1. Four tests, lowest grade dropped, plus final exam. Tons of extra credit opportunity. Super nice and really helpful, read the chapters and the class notes then review one more time before the test and you'll be just fine. You may be able to get away with not attending except on test days but you'll miss some interesting lectures

Not as great as Psych 1 with her but still easy. Read the textbook and the class notes and the test will be a piece of cake, put SOME effort into the group project and you'll be good to go. Not as interesting as I had hoped but a lot of fun mostly because of the people you meet and stories you hear. This class is also known as ECE 18

Also took for psych1 and received an A. Great professor, obviously loves the subject she is teaching. Do the reading, pay attention to the lectures, and you will do well.
