Notes are very thorough. Website has lots of information. Time in class is spent learning how to use Excel and learning concepts that we can put to use in real life. Professor is young but very knowledgable.

i dont know what these poeple are saying, we havent even taken a dam test yet, y would u pple rate a professor that hasnt given a test yet, im in the class and i think the test is gonna be mad hard with all the info she gave us and all the formulas

Awesome class, and it really isn't so difficult. Prof. Marshall teaches everything really weel, extremely helpful when it comes to the 3 HW's, gives practice tests which are almost identical to the real thing! Know anything about computers and business, than take this class!

She is very good professor and very helpfull.Explain everything in class and if you don't get it she explain it to you again. It is a very interested class and the professor makes it more nterested. It is eazy class and if you do good during the semester you don't have to take the final.Good heee.

This class is awesome!!! Great teacher, not so much work, only 3 HW's and 2 tests. The third test or final is optional if you did well enough on the previous assignments. Really helpful too! To get an easy A and for anyone interested in business, take this class!

Professor Marshall is the most helpful and patient professor I have ever had. She provides lab assignments to help us understand the course better.

She gave 3 HW's that are simlar to her 3 Exams. Drops lowest test, so, most people don't even show up for the last test. Fun project. During class, she talks too fast, but it's easy to caught up. Very helpful outside of class. Stays to help after class too.

Professor makes the Class interesting, Does review in the class wich helps for test. In class review is very helpful. One in-class presentation in which professor helps you alot as well. She is the best professor i ever had. I recommend to all who is taking CS018. Take it get A. Good Luck

She is the best, she made the class so clear and easy to understand. The exams were fair and straight from the ppt slides. Highly recommended. She curved and drop one exam. 2 exams plus final. I did good on the first 2 exams and I didn't have to take the final. I got A+. Oh there is a group presentation.

easy class easy b-a grage very outgoing teacher. does not call on anyone but will direct the lesson to you if you are lost. Will go over things with you durring class and before tests. Very informative excel class.Prof very helpful-makesures to explain if u are lost in the class. U must work in this class, not an easy A. Three exams, a group project, and a take home final. She posts practice exams online tho that are similar to exam. very compassionate. Ppt notes are comprehensive, u do not need the text book.

I can safely say that prof Marshall is by far one of the best professors I have ever met. Makes the class fun, interesting and actually teaches some useful stuff. Exams are very easy and you should have no problem getting an A if you follow along in class... Must take her for any class she teaches!!!

One of the best professors in QC. Makes the material really easy to understand & the topics tought really help you all the way through your Econ/Bus classes. CSCI18 is req. for Bus majors & you should take no other professors but her. It is simple, she is a great educator, moderate workload, very approachable, patient & grades deservingly. Got A+

Absolutely wonderful professor. Class is incredibly easy and you learn a lot problem. She speeds through some demonstrations fairly quickly so it's occasionally hard to follow, but i definitely recommend her for a comp sci course

Prof. Marshall is a wonderful professor. She is extremely patient with the class, repeating steps per requests of the students. More interesting topics were discussed towards the end with semester with regards to macros and VBA. I can honestly say that you don't need to buy the book, b/c she's clear and the PPT slides come directly from the book.

One of the best professor at Queens College. For Finance students you should take her for both CSCI 018 and BUS 241. I would just sum up in one word she is just PERFECT.

Great prof, notes are online, so no need to come to class every week, she explains well, the tests are fair and you can earn an extra credit. Highly recommend !!!

Great Professor!!

This was a hybrid class; we met every other week for about an hour to go over problem sets but the class is designed to be primarily self-taught like an online course. She also posts notes which are just summaries of the topics in the chapter. 1st exam easy, 2nd one tough, final pretty easy. She's also really nice and willing to help.

Professor Marshall has the perfect balance between difficulty and easiness. The class is just easy enough that you won't have to work too hard. Homework is straight out of the class notes, half of which is done during class. And tests are pretty similar to what you've already done. And just difficult enough that you'll actually learn something.

RM711 is a bit tougher if you are not already well versed in either programming or excel as the class uses both. The class expects zero knowledge of programming, but it never hurts. The tests are pretty straight forward and she allows a cheat sheet for formulas, they will be very similar to homework and class examples.

It's a hybrid class. We only met for the reviews before exams and then to take the exams. So you're on your own. However there is nothing on the exam out of the review sheets and she goes over all the review questions. If you understand the solved review sheets you will do fine. Just need to study yourself for the HW and the small theory part.

Only met in class occasionally to review for exams. All assignments are online. Exams will cover more than the problem sets do so review the online homeworks as well. Also make sure to go over the (glossary terms in the) book to answer the conceptual questions. Overall was definitely worth taking. I highly recommend.

I took Prof. Marshall for RM 704. She is very helpful and very organized. Its difficult subject but she makes it so easy! Just do the HW and study her slides you will do well! Definitely recommend taking prof. Marshalls class. You will learn a lot.

Beyond perfect. She makes the complex simple. Her class makes you confident in your abilities. This is because it is a bit challenging, but very doable . Easy to reach and very kind. She may be the best in her department.

She's super nice and very accommodating, she will go out of her way to help you. I regret not taking her for another class last semester and I'm suffer now lol She's super organized, has clear videos and assignments and responds to emails quick so her hybrid classes are not confusing at all, unlike other profs. Definitely recommend taking her!

She curved very well. Got 50's on the midterms and ended up with grades in the 80's on the tests. Her class was actually rather interesting. I recommend, but prepare to work. An A is very doable.

Dr. Marshall is one of the kindest and most pure-hearted professors in this school. She takes her work very seriously. Many professors understand the idea that it is good to be an important professor, but Dr Marshall flipped the script. Her movements made me think that she believes it is important to be a good professor.

Very smooth class. Everything was straightforward throughout the semester. It was pretty simple, no need to worry about your VBA skills, she has everything laid out online. I would've preferred more emphasis on Bloomberg but it was a great class.

she made the class so hard with this CLO project because we had to figure out a lot by ourselves. other than that a solid choice. the midterm was moved online and was not bad, take-home final, but everything else was so difficult for no reason. she should have created lectures online for them instead of having us do it by ourselves.

Challenging class, but Prof. Marshall is committed to student learning. Lectures could be improved, but midterm was fair and final was take-home. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for exam prep.
