He is a very good professor for 1065. He doesn't mind if you are late to class. He drops your lowest test grade if you miss two classes or less. I really liked his teaching style. Instead of doing a bunch of examples, he writes the rules down in english (not math language) in a table.

Carl Huber is the man. He writes the instructions for the problems out on the board, so you can actually learn how to do the problem step-by-step. Go to class and do the homework, and you'll get a lot of extra credit points. If you leave this class with less than a B, then your doing something very wrong. The guy is also a top notch comedian.

Everyone says Mrs. Ferrell's the best but Idk after this semester. His notes are much more detailed. That helped so much when studying for tests b/c I knew exactly what I was suppose to do on tests instead of relying on my cheat sheet. He is very helpful as well as a teacher. 4 tests and the final. My favorite part of this class was that the notes were provided beforehand. Unlike other professors who have 20+ pages of notes, it was nice to have a professor who got straight to the point while still providing enough information to understand the material. 4 exams (48%). 8-10 quizzes(15%). Taking Stats? Take Mr. Huber, he is very open to helping his students, gives extra credit on your lowest test grade if you have 3 or less absences. MATH1066 is overrated! The math department took something that is so simple and made it difficult. He's a great instructor, but there were too many formulas/concepts to remember on exam day. And that comprehensive final is a beast! The instructors do not prepare you for it! I love mathematics & got a F on the final. So glad I'm done with math!

One of the best in the math department. Great instructor and is always there for you. Do well on the online quizzes and homework. Study hard for the tests as they are very difficult. Go to every class because he adds 10 points to your lowest test grade at the end. The final is cumulative and was probably the hardest test I've ever taken.

Professor Huber is the best math teacher I have taken at ECU! He is very clear on what he expects you to know for tests! If you go to class and do the homework this class will be a breeze! Statistics is tricky but all work can be computed into a Ti-84 calculator which he lets you use on tests along with every formula you need. Huber is a MUST take!

I was lucky to get a B or C in high school math, but I easily pulled out an A in his class. He has a very simple teaching method with using paper notes that makes it super easy to follow along. He can have weird moments where he gets mad at people for making little errors which can be annoying but overall hes a nice old man

let me just say this, all my life i have SUCKED at math. even with a tutor coming every week, i still got C's and D's. i signed up for Huber thinking i was going to fail at math... again.. but he is seriously an amazing teacher and i got a 100 on my last test.. what!!! he gives guided notes and 2 days of test review plus a study guide. best teacher

I've taken Dr. Huber for both 1066 and 2283 and he is amazing!! He is straightforward with what he expects so there are never any surprises. Come to class because you need the notes and there is an attendance bonus at the end. Lots of homework, but it is meant to help you for all the tests/final. Take him!

Dr. Huber is a good professor, and explains things well, but doesnt always answer questions in the best way. He does try to help you out with your grade, if you show up every day you get extra credit, if you have a certain grade on the hw youll get extra credit, etc. He doesnt use blackboard though so its hard to know your grade in the class.

This man is a really good teacher. I have never in my life gotten a 100% on a math test and I did with him. He is kinda boring but he can be funny at times. He explains things very well and will answer your questions. He gives 10pts extra credit for missing less than a week of class and 5pts if your HW grade is good to your lowest test grade.

Dr. Huber has the ability to explain difficult topics in a simple way. Tests are simple and easy if you study the fill-in notes, do the practice tests, and create a note card. You should do well if you even make the slightest attempt.

He is a great, straight forward math teacher. He makes you do the problems in class so you know how to do it and can ask questions there. Didn't know what to expect going into a non-synchronous Math class online, but it's fairly solid. Professor is caring and sends a good amount of videos and notes of him completing problems. Provides practice tests for homework that are a lot like the real thing. Would recommend him for Business Math.

Very nice when I got sick and let me make assignments up. Lectures were short and easy to understand. I am typically good at math so this class was very easy for me. I typically spent 30 mins a week on the class. He has a practice test that is very similar to the actual test. If you got 85+ on practice you got 4 bonus points on your test grade.
