Occasionally interesting, seems passionate about the subject, but unfortunately this isn't the case for most of his students. The main problem is the length of the class, everyone loses interest after 50 minutes. His tests aren't always entirely relevant but if you do the reading you'll do fine.

Very nice professor who teaches a fairly difficult class. Definitely harder than AST 101 and not a very good option if someone just wants to fulfill a science requirement. You will really have to work for a good grade in this class and can easily end up doing poorly because four tests make up the majority of your grade, all of which are difficult.

Genially the worst professor I have ever had. Anytime you try to get him to answer a question for you he beats around the bush and never actually gives you the answer. He says this helps students learn HOWEVER he never tells you the correct answer. You never know if you are actually right until after the test and you fail.

Excellent professor in my opinion. Very sweet and funny too. If you read the textbook and go to the lecture you will most likely do well. Practice exams are provided before every test, your lowest exam score is dropped, and he sometimes gives extra credit just for showing up to lecture! I'm not a science person, but I really enjoyed this class.

My favorite professor in SU so far, I started to love Astronomy after taking his class. A nice, humorous grandpa. He won't give you the homework's answers, so go to the lecture, write down the in-class exercises' answers and go to his or your TA'soffice for help. I once asked him the same problem for 3 times but he still explained to me patiently.
