Fun prof who gives us lots of examples and breaks class up with videos and activities. I'd recomend her.

I absolutely loved Carla's class. She is very interesting and a great prof. I'm going to take as many classes with her as possible. You can tell that she actually enjoys teaching.

She teaches very well, one of the few professor's that actualy knows how to use power point properly. Tests were hard, but fair, and in class assignments were easy. Her examples and metaphors were extremely helpful to help grasp concepts.

Carla is a great professor! She is very fair with tests, as long as you study you should be fine. She also has tons of examples to explain things in class and you don't have to take notes because she puts them all up on the internet. Awesome!

Carla is nice and a super good prof. She uses powerpoint for lectures and the slides are all on the web in Ms Word format--Easy to print and good for studying. It's a good idea to print them ahead of time and add your own notes to them during lectures. Read the assigned pages before going to class, they're a big help as they make lectures clearer.

Very clear on what she wants, she's very approachable and willing to help. Really loves what she does and is really nice to all of her students. It's very helpful to take her notes and add to them during class.

Makes use of powerpoint very well. In class demonstrations and videos make the class exciting and worth attending. Exams are relativly easy, if you read and go to class.

She is my favorite prof i've had so far. Extremely good at explaining things and uses alot of internet based videos that are extremely helpful with helping you to remember what you are learning. Easy easy tests as long as you go to class and pay attention. There is an assignment every week but its super easy and gives you extra marks for nothing.

Great professor and easy to understand. Always leaves extra resources on webct (which is helpful)! My one peeve about this class is that she never once had responded to any of the e-mails I had sent her regarding hand-in assignments that she had misplaced :S

Excellent prof, very easy to understand. Makes notes and slides used in class available on WebCT. Does not respond to e-mails, not very accommodating if you get sick and quarantined, thus being unable to come to class. Many in-class assignments, moderate amount of homework. Do the readings. Do the review questions she gives, some are on the exams.

An engaging and dedicated prof. Her classes are well planned and her expectations very clear. She is dynamic and involved, and makes it easy to learn. I am taking a class from her again.

Carla is super sweet, understanding, and if you go to class, you won't have a problem with the exams (only 3, all MC). Make sure you read the text because she tests on stuff she doesn't go over in class.

I really enjoyed this class and her teaching methods. I would recommend this class to anyone who thinks that they might find Psych interesting.

She is a great professor. Tests are all multiple choice. Provides very important information in class and posts all slides online. Would recommend!

Overall great prof, keeps you engaged, and NOT monotone! which is fantastic! If it is snowing out at all then class with be canceled and you will be given a online assignment for that class, and you have to be there and real the text, as tests and exams are on both, and she may not go over something in class, but it is in the text.

She is so nice, and so helpful. She keeps you focused and interested in this course. Easily my favorite prof from first semester, and I'm happy to be taking the second part of psychology with her in second semester.

I really like Carla. She was very nice, and easy to talk to outside and inside of class. She can be dry when she's teaching, but I didn't personally mind that. In order to pass her tests, all you had to do was attend class, read the parts of the chapter that weren't covered, and do the practice questions.

She's great, all profs should be like her! She puts her slide shows online which is helpful and she helps you understand with examples and little assignment that she only grades if they are done or not. Yes the class does require a fair amount of work but it will help you in the end. She gives practice questions and the answers to do alone to! LOVE

Carla is great, very funny. Try to read most of your text but most of all show up for class because what she talks about will be on the test, also does surprise attendance marks. Does at home video assignments and cancels class. Pass everything in and study and you will do fine! Wish I could take her again.

Good Prof, Take notes FAST and show up...

Dr. Gunn made my first and only psychology class very interesting. The best part about her class was how easy she made it to get a good grade! There were 4 tests, a few video and homework assignments, and some in class questions. Besides the tests however, everything is only graded on participation! Just do the work and you'll get a good grade!

Carla Gunn is a great prof. She gives so many opportunities for students to bring up their grades with homework assignments, bonuses, etc. Her tests aren't too hard as long as you study hard. She gives comprehensive lectures and seems to genuinely care. Read the textbook before class, it helps a lot!

LOVED Carla!! Great prof, fun to listen to and is great at explaining complicated things. She's super sweet. Wish she taught upper year courses too.

Overall, I found her to be a wonderful proff. Her lectures were clear and concepts were explained in a way that made sense. Definitely approachable. It's a lot of work, but doing extra credit can really boost your grade.

I took Carla's Psyc class the spring of 2020 and I found her teaching to truly help me grasp an understanding and a love for the subject. She valued students opinions and made sure to explain in great detail as well as have in class hand in questions on the subjects so that she could check students understanding. Gave me a love for Psychology.

Professor Gunn is a good professor. She explains everything in detail and her exams are multiple choice and pretty easy, you just need to take notes of the textbook and her lectures and you´ll be fine. Lectures this year were too long but I learned a lot. Downside: she didnt really take feedback from their students when complaining about lectures.

Tests are fully multiple choice, she is clear about what she expects and does not take attendance. She heavily expects her students to do the textbook readings and homework assignments, and if you do, you will do great. Open to any questions and very responsive through email.

I love this professor, she is so passionate about what she does and she is so smart. She is very patient and happy to answer questions. She doesn't read from the PowerPoint all the time which I like. She has so much knowledge and she is very kind. I highly recommend this course.

Dr. Gunn was an excellent prof. I had her in the fall of 2022 and winter of 2023. She is super nice, gives good feedback, and ensures lots of time for studying for exams. Somehow, she just explains the subject matter so well. Definitely recommend for a first year student taking first year psych.

Carla Gunn has such a passion for psyc and it is obvious as she teaches. She only has four exams that you are graded on, likewise, if you show up for class and put in the effort you will pass. If you dont show up or do the readings, you will have a difficult time.

The questions are her tests are mostly from lectures. If you don't go to class you likely won't do well in this course. If you go to the classes and do the readings you will likely do fine.
