Out of all the BIO teachers I've had she is the best. She really doesn't want anybody to fail and will add test and give extra credit to help. She loves her job and you can tell she really loves science. she explain things so that the avg. student can understand better. Great teacher. i remember ms. carla @ the main campus. she was very helpful during my class and always stopped what she was doing to help or answer a question. i would def. reccomend for anyone taking up bio to take her class!

I just love Mrs Perry methods of teaching. She is very much into what she teaches, always on time for classes and very detailed oriented especially when it comes to lab. I just love her. I just wish she taught AH classes also.

I took this class in the summer. She is very fair, clear and teaches so you understand application. Prof. Perry is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject. She gives you the notes that she will test you on. If you stay on top of your studies, you will be fine.

Wow! U can not say enough good things about Carla. I have no interest whatsoever in science yet I was excited to go to every class. She has an infectious passion for the material and it seriously rubs off. She doesn't rely on boring powerpoints either, she teaches from her own outline. Amazing! You won't regret taking her class.

Pro.Perry is agreat teacher...if you want to really want learn without the stress she will make that happen. she uses handout and gives quizes to get you ready for midterms...if you only want to take one time, she the professor to take...

She's one of the best teachers CCP has. She has an infectous personality. She outlines the textbook and gives you handouts, I took her during summer and it was pie; however, I do love science and it's my major so I find it easier than most. BIO 109 is alot of studying, but if you try, you should get a good grade even if you aren't good at science.

She will be the teacher to make you fall in love with biology! If you don't like it, you will. If you love it, you'll love it even more with Carla. If you're someone who struggles when there's a lot of work from other classes, I recommend taking her part time because she's no joke & there's a lot of work, but it will be worth your while in the end!

i had Carla for bio 107 in fall 2011 and 109 this past semester. i absolutely love her class. she is nice, but serious about her class. do NOT take if you just want to slide by. definitely not an easy A, there's alot of work. i got an A for 107, and a B for 109. but, i think it's worth it, especially if you are any biology or medical major.

I had Ms Carla Perry in Spring 2012. I passed 110 with a B+ and she was great. I can't say enough good things about Ms Perry. She has an infectious smile and a great personality. She made learning biology fun, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about teaching. She provided materials so that u can understood the course. Best Bio teacher!

Proff. Perry is absolutley amazing, She is very helpful and I enjoyed her class very much. BIO 108 is a new course which she helped write for CCP and I think she did a great job with the course. Its an introduction to AnP, and she made it very easy to understand the course. She uses outlines as her notes which is helpful for tests. HIGHLY RECOMEND

I am writing this before I get my final grade. I wanto be objective. Mrs Perry is one of the best teachers I ever had. Please do not mistake best with easy. You have to come to class and study. Mrs Perry gives you every chance to get a good grade.

Professor Perry's class was extremely helpful to me. If you follow the notes and study all of the outlines you CAN'T go wrong. Also the quizzes and homework were also a really good help as well. Lab was really interesting with dissecting pic and sheep hearts and such... If I could take another class with this Professor I definitely would.

Great Professor. She really knows her stuff. As long as you do the work and study it's impossible to fail her class. The test are easy if you study the outline she gives you. I would def recommend her to anyone taking Bio 109 and 110.

This woman is awesome. You will know exactly what you need to know. She will go over it and give you sheets to fill out to make sure you look up the information. She comes around to make sure you filled it out so you don't get inclined to let your work build up. She knows what she's talking about and is fun. The first two weeks are the hardest.

Very good Professor, Teaching was very easy to understand. Lab was excellent. Attendance is VERY important and taking notes as well. The majority of test are based off of notes. Overall Professor Perry is really nice and a good teacher. I would definitely take another class taught by her :~)

Loved this class. It is not for slackers. She hands you work pages and you fill them out each class. She loves teaching and is very nice. Dont miss classes it will effect your score, her lab is interesting and I learned so much. LOVED this class.

Mrs. perry is a tough teacher but extremely fair. In order to pass you must simply study and do your assignments. She doesn't waste time taking attendance if your absent it on you which is how is should be in college, its your money and education so take it seriously. She helps explain things when needed. She is great but doesn't play around.

Best Professor I've ever had. Made Anatomy and Physiology interesting and fun. Extremely intelligent and can answer just about any question. She helped me get an A in both classes and they were summer courses. Recommend to everyone.

Great professor, I took her in the summer. She does give a fair amount of HW but it's all to help you for exams and quizzes. You would just use your HW as your study guide for the examsquizzes.

I had her for AP 109 and she was the BEST teacher I have ever had at CCP ! Her lectures were very informative ( and quite entertaining). She really knows her stuff ! She helped me enjoy one of the more difficult courses you could take in your journey through college. Another huge plus is that I actually retained the info I was presented with !

She's is nice and knows her stuff..... her class is extremely hard. I hate her exams . she makes you spell long words out for the fill-in questions. barely any multiple choice questions, and if you spell the answer a little wrong she will mark it wrong. I feel like this was apart of a English class. she also give lots of extra credit work.

She is a very intelligent professor and loves to teach. I learned around 10% of what was taught during the lecture and the rest was up to me at home, probably due to the amount of material and fast-pace of the course. Expect to devote 5-10 hours+ of studying before each exam if you want a good grade.

Professor Perry does not pull any punches when it comes to making sure you know your stuff, you absolutely will. Her exams are not hard if you've studied all of the material thoroughly. If you think you can get by without knowing the material, don't expect to pass. Perry loves teaching and is very helpful with any questions you have.

I was nervous to face 110, but she is possibly the best teacher for the material in the world. Yes, I said in the world. Enthusiastic, animated, knowledgable, clever and fun in describing material. Beyond clear on what will be on tests. Quizzes help one stay disciplined on LOTS of biology subject matter. She truly makes a tough subject lighter.

Take Carla if you're going into nursing or medical school. She is extremely passionated about the material. Her exams are not easy, but she will go above and beyond to help you succeed in her class. If you like fill in blank exams, few multiple choice questions and describing concepts including drawing flow charts, etc then she is your teacher.

Carla was very good at her job and is an excellent instructor. It is a shame that more teachers in college are not as good as her.

I wish I could take her for all of my biology classes and chemistry! Very clear about what she wants from us and what we can expect from her. She's makes herself available to the students. She's also pretty funny

Professor Perry is one of the best teachers I have ever had! People warned me about taking A&P as it is extremely hard. However, prof. Perry makes it so enjoyable to learn the materials. Gives a good amount of work but it really helps to learn the materials for what will be on her exams.

I had professor Perry for 109 and I was terrified going into this class because so many warned me about how difficult it would be. Perry was funny. Shes gives outlines, study whats on there and what she says and you'll do well. Tests are hard since they're fill in the blank. Must be able to spell correctly. A great teacher will take her for 110.

She's a great professor and great at explaining a very hard subject. If you study the outlines and pay attention in class then it's an easy A because those power points for other classes are just awful.

Wonderful teacher. Took the 7 week summer course and was a bit nervous because the material is already difficult. Perry definitely loves what she does and is willing to help you.... as long as you're putting in the work!! She offers you extra credit for doing outlines which you need to study for tests anyway. I took this course during the summer and Professor Perry is AWESOME! You can tell she really loves to teach. I hope I get her again for Bio110. You must study the material and definitely ask questions if you're unsure about anything. The chapter outlines are key. Also what she speaks on in lecture make sure you study that as well.

Carla is a lil snippy with the questions however it is only because she is VERY Direct with her instructions. She says a million time she is not trying to trick you. She a really good teacher just follow her instructions. Her energy is great. And for a super hard class like biology she is great with organization

She is a good teacher. But her lab exams are kind of very quick. Within a second we have to answer each question which is quite difficult for most students. But she provides several extra credit works and chapter wise tests and quizzes which helps us to review for the final exam.

I really liked her as a professor, a little difficult but nothing I didn't expect. She explains very well and keeps class interesting.

Prof. Perry is awesome. Shes passionate and knowledgeable about her work which in turn motivated me. Her test were tough but she well prepares you for them. And I love her motto that shes not going to test you on anything she hasnt taught you. Straight forward, she answers all questions so dont be afraid to ask. Study your notes and you will.

Perry is a good teacher, her lectures and notes cover what is on the test. Do the notes, even though they are optional. Lab manual and textbook are used. She is very enthusiastic and keeps things real with you. She grades fast too. Study for the midterm and finals! If you have a good grade at the end, the final isn't too bad.

CP is very passionate about her job. She is hilarious and relates important topics to the medical field and real life. I took her 109 hybrid course and the ONLY difficult part about it was dedicating time to it outside of class. She posts outline notes and gives excellent study tactics. Lab midterm and final are hard but its department wide.

Not an easy class. You need to study hard but organized,kind , knowledgeable, fair professor . She provides any possible resource for students to learn and to improve their grades including multiple exams quizzes , homework ,study guides and extra points and only after cumulative departmental exam you understand how much you have learned A&P.

I loved her class and I want to take her again. She is a great teacher and very passionate about her class and bio. She cares about her student and whatever she says it will be on the test or writes it on the board that's what she will put on the test. She is very straight forward. Make sure to attend class/lab if not you will not pass! Professor Perry gives a lot of outlines, online homework/quizzes/exams, and take home exams. Expect to do homework and make sure to do them! Whatever she says that will be on the exam is exactly what is on the exam. She also grades things very quickly. Her lecture are also very good.

I had Perry for BIO109 in the Summer and the reason I received a 78 was because of my fault , it was summer I didnt study enough and I was missing out on her extra credits which I totally regret . Shes a good teacher so i took her again more focused on a hybrid course for BIO109. Currently 8 weeks in and I have a 86%. She makes learning fun !

I loved this class. She is tough, but a VERY fair grader, and offers extra credit. I would recommend her to anyone who loves anatomy. Studying hard is important, as is with any other class. I enjoyed this class.

Professor Perry is not easy such as chapters' quizes plus 4 exams. The questions on her assignments not only multiple choices, True/False, and you have to type answers. It's a lot, BUT on the end of the semester you will understand the material. She really loves to teach Biology.

I would 100% recommend! Her notes help so much and she gives good and understanding information with her lectures. The class is very quiz and lab heavy so, as long as you do the notes and study you'll pass. Even if you are not understanding something she's always there to help.

I literally love her. She is the best bio teacher I ever had. She breaks everything down that is needed to be. She will never teach anything that you are not having a test on. So write everything down and stay organized.

I took Bio 109 3 times and finally passed with this professor. She is very clear on what she will be grading, and explains everything! She also cares about her students. I am sad I had to register with another teacher for bio 110 because I was hoping to have her !

She actually teaches!Do the outlines and study them its all on the test. Makes notes on outline during class. Bio is hard but Perry doesn't trick you,other professors I have had before think you need to be doctors and know everything already but not Perry. She does make you work for your grade but its not impossible.

I took biology 110 during the summer so there was a lot of information in little time. Professor Perry is a wonderful teacher who explains every concept in a way you can understand! Tests are short I answer, T/F or matching so you really need to KNOW the material. If you wanna really learn & will put in the work, take her you wont regret it!

Professor Perry gives as many tips, resources and ways to study as possible. You must earn your grade, but she gives ample time to study the material and learn the work. As long as you study, you'll pass. Professor Perry answers emails within a sufficient amount of time. She is also very understanding and will work with you the best way she can.

Professor Perry was great! Although some of the actual content was boring, she made it interesting. You should do well if you actually try in her classes and listen to her suggested timelines.

I am still currently in the middle of the semester with this Professor, but she is AWESOME ! She is nice and patient, all you gotta do is show up to class/lab, do your work, do well on quizzes (which aren't even long) and do your best with the tests given. She literally gives out the reviews a week before an exam, more than enough time to study.

Professor Perry was great, this was a hybrid class and attendance was only mandatory on Mondays. If you do the work, you will succeed. She does offer extra credit; I wish there was a late policy. I was late on a lab and still turned it in but got a zero. Make sure you turn your assignments in on time. Her lectures are clear and simplified.

Took her class Spring 2024. I've never been good at Bio but her as a teacher was great. She truly enjoys what she teaches and has a really positive attitude. She's always willing to help(I just don't like asking, which explains my grade). I would take her again. She's very understanding and encourages involvement. Pay attention, and you'll do fine.

I took Carla Perry for 7 week A&P1. her study outlines tell you exactly what will be on the exams. Her class is very clear and organized. a&p is a lot of information and memorizing but you will get an A if you actually put the time in.

Just finished her BIO 109 7 week accelerated course, I couldn't have asked for a better professor. She is easy to understand, her work is laid out easily for you. You just have to study her outlines. Highly recommend.

Professor Perry was awesome! You can get the grade you want out of her class but you have to put in the work. Professor provided chapter outlines for each exam that helped me to easily prepare.

Prof Perry was an amazing professor, she gives study guide outlines for exams, doesn't test you on things you haven't learned, exams very reasonable not super hard with a million questions. Very approachable when it comes to asking questions. Exams are most important in this class because she doesn't really assign a lot of work.
