I'm enjoying every moment of this class! She's not easy, but she is helpful and knows her stuff. She is always there if she is needed. She loves teaching and is really good at it. One of the best Profs I have had...and this is my second degree. I would recommend her and I would take her again!

Serfas is very direct very organized and knows/cares what she is teaching. In Lecture make sure you take notes very important. Highly reccomend her :)

I love this teacher.. Haven't seen one bad day with her. Very down to earth and knows her stuff. Not an easy class but if you study the handouts and pay attention, you will be fine. Planning on taking her BIO 234 class. Highly Recommend! :)

Very good teacher, very knowledgeable of the material, very helpful. However she makes the tests hard and confusing and threw me off with the choices in the multiple choice. Other than that, she was a good teacher.

If you enjoy verbatim notes from the book,confusing test questions, no makeup assignments or extra credit oppurtunities, you will love this class.

Very knowledgable teacher. Her lectures and powerpoints are helpful. Lab exams are easy, lecture exams are tricky. She will delete a question if too many people got it wrong. I received an A+, but I worked for it. I would take her again.

Carla was an excellent teacher very thorough and knowledgeable of the course.Always answered questions and if you didn't understand she would take her time to explain and would explain until you understand. I recommend her to everyone!!!

This teacher was amazing. I had her for bio 233 and 234 and I would recommend her to everyone. She knew almost everything about what she was teaching. I found her to be easy and received an A in both classes. I did not read a single chapter in the lecture book. To get an A, you just need to go to class, pay attention and take notes. DONT SKIP CLASS

Lab and lecture exams are mult choice but VERY tricky, says she's not trying to trick you but really is. No homework, EC opportunities in class. Quizzes are easy. Requires ALOT of studiying, dont believe anyone who says otherwise. Nice lady though.

Her tests can get tricky with multiple choice, but this is college and you have to study for a good grade. If you want to learn, take her. This is not a blowoff teacher. aaand umm she is quite the cutie B)

She is not an easy teacher, but she does know her stuff. Her lecture tests are hard. Lab exams are much easier. She offers lab quizes which are very easy as long as you study. She gives homework assignments that take hours to complete and are only worth a few ponints. Her final is cumlative. I would not reccomend this teacher.

I had here for both bio 233 and 234. And I got an A for both classes. She is an amazing teacher she knows her stuff. But she is not easy you have to study and pay attention in class. You also have to pay attention while take her test too, it can be tricky. Overall I learn a lot in her class if she we to teacher microbiology I would take her.

i love ms cerfas i dont know maybe because i earned an A in the class. from all the A&P teachers she was the best to me. i thought her exams were straight forward it is everything she mentions in lecture and from her notes. her lab practicals were the tricky part and threw me off. lab quizes easy as long as you study. overall amazing teacher

Ms. Serfas REALLY knows her anatomy! I doubt there is anything she cannot give you an answer to. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage though because she expects the same out of her students, which means that her tests are pretty hard and somewhat tricky. STUDY HARD, DONT NEGLECT ANYTHING and you'll get an A. Great for lab too! :)

you have to want it, her test are trickey but at the anp levle it should be. i studyed like no other and got an a- in her class the class avg was a 70 at the end. to me they did no want it. you have to break her test, she always ask which one of these are not correct. what i would do is cross out not and search for the 4 that were

She is Amazing!!! You have to want the grade. Her tests are a bit tricky sometimes but take good notes, record lecture, and study! She will def. help you with the material as long as you are trying and I recommend asking questions. She is good at dumbing it down as much as possible to help people understand and so u get the big picture first

She is very nice teacher, but super hard. Lecture exames are very hard. There are some extra credit in the exam other then that no extra points. Quiz online, group exercise in the class. You need alots of time to study for this class. I would say if you are taking her then good luck!!!!

Best professor at HFCC. Her exams are tricky, but she is a GREAT teacher!!! Wish I could have taken her for BIO 234, but she did not have any night classes this semester. She is very knowledgeable, funny and attractive.

Great lady cool teacher. She's close to our age so she's still in touch and still remembers what it was like to be a student herself. Her exams are TRICKY and her expectations are high. You actually have to work for your A but it's doable

She is awesome! i LOVED her teaching method so much the first A&P 233 that i took her for A&P 234. Her tests are difficult but she is fair. If you are confused you she will help you and explain thoroughly and make sure you get it! I would def. recommend. She attempts to be funny and is always available for office hours. Practicals were my fave!

Mrs. Serras was a great teacher. Anatomy is an extremely hard class to start with but she does an amazing job at explaining as well ask keeping students interested. However, expect to study. I mean study a lot. An A is more than possible given the fact that she gives you an entire page of extra credit on each test. Plus she's a cutie

You have to study and know the material. But if you have questions she will provide a clear answer, if something is confusing she finds a story a word, phrase or funny joke to remember things. A lot of material she makes it seem like a breeze! She's funny, spunky and nice, she lets you know when she's not in the mood! I would recommend her!

Mrs. Serfas is an awesome teacher! Very helpful and funny. Her tests are tough and you need to study a lot for them. Lab quizzes and practicals are a breeze as long as you read the lab guide and watch the videos on youtube. She is always available for office hours. Definitely take her just be prepared to study!

Took for 234 lab. Study the YouTube videos and you'll get an A on all of them. Quizzes or VERY easy also have extra credit on them. Practicals are pretty easy also just study the YouTube videos and has extra credit there too. She's very cool and will answer any question clearly for you. Amazing lab prof.

BIO is not an easy class but she tries making it fun. She says really funny jokes and shes really goofy. But dont joke around during tests or quizzes as she takes those very seriously. She gives you power point slides that you can print out online and those will be on the test. Read the directions b/c she gives hidden extra credit points there.

She gives extra credit on each test on the last page. But WILL NOT WHAT SO EVER give you extra credit if you want to higher your grade. Gave the easiness a 3 mostly because the class itself is not easy. But as a professor, shes probably the easiest professor for BiO 233 & 234. She is so passionate about what she does. Record her lectures, it helps.

Because of how much I studied, I learned a lot in this class compared to my first anatomy class which I don't remember a thing from. If you are up for a challenge and want to actually learn then take her!

For exams, study her powerpoints and lecture material only. For lab, watch the online videos. Study and you will do well.

I absolutely loved Ms. Serfas. You must work hard for your grade - reading the textbook, and studying the PowerPoints. I recorded the lectures and highlighted what she talked about in the lecture book- that's what helped me get an A. I went to the Learning Lab so she could help me further understand the material!

Not that bad of a teacher, gives examples during lecture. To pass her tests record the lecture, take notes, memorize the power points given. These will save your life. And read the book to understand the material don't just memorize what she says. Understand it. Watch the videos provided for lab and you're golden.

Not an easy class by any means. But she gives clear, concise information in her powerpoints, print them out! I never read the book for lecture! The practicals are what you would expect (I had polaski for 233, they're the same.) Watch the videos posted online and you'll be fine. Best teacher so far at HFCC!

I had her for both lecture and lab and she was BY FAR the best professor I've ever had. She makes learning the information interesting and fun which helps you to remember it for exams. I never used the book unless it was for an online assignment. Her exams are straight from the PowerPoints. I never studied but listened it class. TAKE HER!!!!!

Ms. Serfas is an outstanding, passionate, energetic, friendly, and down to earth. She explains things in a way where you would be able to grasp the concept easily and with simple analogies. She is very helpful. I wish there were more teachers like her:)

the best science teacher ive ever had! her tests are very easy compared to other A&P instructors and her lectures include much less information comparatively. she is very good at explaining and uses analogies to help. i would recommend her to everyone. she is an expert at A&P and teaching.

If you want to pass, your gonna have to study hard. Her exams are based of her powerpoint but the questions can get tricky. You don't really need the book I recommend reading it because it will help you a lot with understanding the info better because the way she explains stuff is kind of confusing. She is very friendly and gives lot extra credit.

I think she is a fair professor. She gives the maximum of two assignment each week. So if you take notes and watch the videos you can easily do the assignments. If you wait until last minute you will fail the assignments. The lecture exams are pretty fair as well. Test topics are from her powerpoints. I would take her again if I could.

STUDY HER SLIDES. The lecture exam is all in her slides. The last exam was the hardest, because I didn't attend the last few lectures. I found lab a little more challenging than lecture even though many students would say otherwise. Lab is mostly memorization and recognition. All in all, she is a great professor.

Honestly Bio 233 is a challenging class. You need to study, study, study. The material is not hard to understand. What makes it challenging is the amount of material, it's very time consuming. She is an amazing professor. She explains everything. Study her slides and you can get by without the book. STUDY THE SLIDES.
