She makes the class interesting!!!

Difficult professor!!!

Profesor Barnaby is helpful and kind but you have to read and work really hard to pass the class. She gave me B+ but she is still the best.....if you want to be a beter student take her clas.

I am so happy she gave me an A but I had to work real hard for it. I would take her class over again because she cares. I had her early in the morning and she kept me awake.

I read the other comments, Professor Barnaby's not a difficult teacher at all. You just need to go home everyday and read the material. Don't expect to get a passing grade if your text book looks like it was just printed by the second week. Just know the material and PARTICIPATE. Everything that's on the quiz's was in class discussed in class.

Professor Barnaby is my role model, and has inspired me to do my best. She is not only very knowledgeable in her area, but is also extremely effective in transferring the material to her students. She's very helpful and caring of all her students; she wants us all to get good grades, but we need to earn it. I'd love to take more classes with her.

She is the best....I had to work so hard and wanted to drop the class. Afer my conversation with her, she challenged me to do my best and I did. From failing to a B-. She wants students to do well and she is not concerned if you like her as long as you do well

one of the best teachers i've had in kingsborough so far. she challenges u but its for the better. she keeps the class real interested and makes the material so easy to take in as long as u pay attention. i would recommend her class to anyone and i would gladly take another one of her classes.

one of the best professors i ever had. she is great and very helpful. she is interesting and funny. you cant fall a sleep in her class. she will work with you if u are not doing to good. also does her best to make sure the class is prep for the exams

Absolutely the best professor i've ever had. I love her to pieces. She takes her time and she cares. She does her best but you have to meet her half way. She's fun BUT don't cross the line with her. She isn't looking for an outstanding but rather she looks for a student that gives their all and tries their best. Take the class I highly recommend it

Intense on caring if you passed. Respect her and she respects you back. Really interesting lessons. Integrates technology, using email addresses, or a website to discuss your grades privately. This is college, just do your work, pay attention,and read what she assigns.

Read the comments and I am sure these are students who failed her class. I received a B+ but my engrade said C. She is fair and wants her students to do well. I am from Canada and I appreciate her so much - class was good!

Professor Barnaby is the best professor ever. I am older and reading the other comments - students are upset because they failed. You have to do the work in her class. It is unfair to expect a good grade just by being in the class. Let us be fair to our professors - she really cared about every student.

We dnt get a long at first but then she told the class that she is not interested in making friends but to help us get thru the class and achieve outside in the world. I worked hard blackbord grade was a B+ but got a A-. I like her alot now and she is a good professor

She is absolutely the best professor ever! She is only interested in the student's walking away from the class with a lot of knowledge. The workload in the class isn't that much as long as you keep up with Blackboard! Definitely would take her a million times!!

Just saw my grade on bb - received a B-. The grade was c- but she adjusted grade based on particpation and hard work. I much older and from other culture so I understand why she is strict. Love her and hope to take her again!

I love her...she is hte best professo in Kingsborouhg. Some students find her strict but she cares about every US. No late papers. She took us to the lab to work on research paper. Draft grade was C- and the final paper i got an A. SHE SHOULD TAKE HER!

Knowledgeable in the subject area. We have fun in class but no late assignments. Teaching style is differnt.lots of fun. She is not easy but if you do your work and aask fo her help you will get a good grade. Love her for helping me to get through the semster

Pf Barneby grading seem dificult at first but she takes the best 2 or 3 grades from a each thing u do. She want you to do well. the tutor in the lab said she is right on how to write the artilces we do. got a 60 65 75 80 85 bboard she took the best 3 grades. taking her for other class. like her alot and class if fun always!

The best in Kingsborough. class is not difficult if you work on the assignments and exams. I am returning to the classroom after 15 years and she is helping me with my writing.

Professor Barnaby spends time with her students. This summer was difficult for me because of my work schedule but she helped me when i need help. This is my last semester but I would recommend her to any student who wants to learn and work hard.

I received an 'A+' in her class. I am a vet a the class was challenging. The first assignment she gave me a C+ and told me that we will work on improving my writing. I was upset but at the end of the summer my writing improved and she use creative ways of teaching and assignments. I like her teaching style, her attitude (like the army). Funny.

She's a good Professor, if you are a hardworking student. She helps students, who respect her and her subject who want to learn and who are willing to perform a huge amount of work. It is not an easy class, but if you choose it, be willing to do absolutely anything she asks. It was a good experience.

She's a great professor but a hard grader. It's still possible to get an A. Honestly it's the amount of effort and dedication that you put in that really forms your grade. if you're a hard worker, you study, do well on her tests and papers, and you do all assignments that then you will most definitely get an A. She's always willing to help.

Professor B makes you want to be in class , class flys when your there and she makes you want to stay past the time given. She's a hard grader but I love it !.

Definitely committed to teaching, engages you, keeps you wanting to come back. Covers a lot in class and doesn't ask too much from home. She grades pretty rough but she wont let you fail if you show interest and follow directions.

work needs to be done so don't expect a good grade without trying to succeed. Her tests can be hard if you do not know very specific information. Asks questions in class&tests that can be tricky as you needed to review and understand material WELL. May higher grade for your effort. connects to students individually-trusted, & cares about students.

Absolutely amazing professor. Definitely would take her again. Lectures were clear and we knew from the onset what we need to do get good grade! She is awesome!!!

She doesn't use the textbook much but breaks down all the information from it in her lectures. She's a tough grader and makes you work hard for a good grade but I learned a lot in her class. If you're going to constantly be late or absent then this class is a no go, she will fall you!

She is straight up with any one and MAKE sure youre ready to work. She does see if you try your best and tries to help you w extra quizzes which can affect your grade in a positive way or a negative way, shes a good teacher but a HARD grader, make sure you come to class every day, pass most quizzes, midterm, paper and the final and youll pass.

Dr. Barnaby is the best professor on campus. As long as you come prepared and do the assigned readings you will not have a problem. She gives about 9 quizzes throughout the semester and only counts the best 4-5. If you perform well on the quizzes, midterm, and essay then you will be exempted from taking the final. She is very sweet and helpful.

Prof. Barnaby is good at teaching the material. She is nice & cares about the students. Try not to miss any class because she barely puts the lessons on blackboard. Also, make sure you work twice as hard for your grade. I think that if she sees your efforts she'll pass you with a good grade. She is very attentive of her students, she's watching u.

She is straight up with you and that's something that i like about her. she tells you how it is. You'll fail if you don't put in the effort for the class. The grade you get is the grade you earned. She's pretty awesome. I didn't need to take this class at all I was just interested in the class that i decided to take it. It was well worth it.

Professor Barnaby is one of the best professors I had coming into Kbcc . Her tests arent all that hard if you understand the material and her classes dont require textbooks as the material is on blackboard .

Professor Barnaby is a caring and enthusiastic professor that tries to work with her students to accomplish the goals in the class, she may be pushy but its worth it and she's always there to help

Prof. Barnaby is caring professor who believes you should excel and not be a minimalist, she pushes you to go further and wants you to excel in your four year college, so you may find her a little harsh, but do the work, read her notes and you will be fines. Dr. Carlene Barnaby will come to understand your potential and your grades will reflect your effort in surpassing it. She encourages scratching below the surface and respects students who drive discussions forward. Consistency and commitment in the beginning of the semester might improve your chances to be forgiven for missed assignments.

Wonderful professor, great communication and cares for her students.Lectures are long but very knowledgeable and fun. Attendance is a must, don't skip class and you'll reap your rewards. Participate and do all your work and you'll have an easy good grade. She is very punctual with assignments though so don't forget to be on time with work.

She's very strict on due dates and will not reopen anything because she drops your lowest DB and Quiz. I'll say this was a very tough course, especially compared to my other courses, however, if you're usually on point with your assignments and review the material before quizzes and exams, you'll do fine. Just know this might be your hardest class.

Carlene Barnaby has high standards, but if you stay on top of the work, you can do well. The quizzes and exams are challenging, but using unstuck study alongside the textbook really helped me prep. Overall, a rewarding class if you're willing to put in the effort.
