I enrolled in this class on the recommendation of a friend. I could not believe how liberal and radical the teacher is. Instead of learning sociology, we learned all about Carlo's radical and crazy beliefs! Fun class but crazy ideas.

At first I thought it was odd that my women studies professor was a MALE, but he is an amazing teacher. He keeps you interested, I hardly ever look at the clock like I do in other classes!

He was an awesome teacher. He made Psychology easy to understand.

Absolutely the best professor at CCSN.

Very liberal. He's well-read and well-thought, but he builds his philosophies off of the flawed basic assumption that everyone is entitled to prosper regardless of their works. It shows in his grading, too. If you show up, you WILL get an A.

This will be the 4th time taking one of his classes. Just showing up you WILL get an A. Best teacher at CCSN... By far. No work/tests/quizes, hes educated and knows his material, he will help you with anything (even out of class problems), hes presentable, and down to earth. What more can I say?

Absolutly excrruciating to sit through. Was fun at first, now radical idea's and attempts to create a cult of spongebrian followers in class real hell to deal with. Carlo is.. interesting, to say the very least. As another poster said, Carlo is stuck in the 60s. His classes are extremely easy, so just bring a Laptop computer or a book and you'll get an A doing other stuff.

very thought provoking, intelligent, well informed professor by all means. I've had Prof. Defazio for 4 classes. His sense of love and jusice for all of mankind just a overwhelms me. He teaches in such a passionate, thought provoking way that if you leave his class and don't feel any sense of justice or love for mankind I question you.

He grabs you by the arms and calls for you to stand and be counted! He challenges your very existence, NEVER questioning your views but demands that you take a part in our world for the better! Why take 1 of his classes when you could take 6? He motivates and compared to other stuffy teachers is a breath of fresh air. Meet him and you'll see.

He's really genuine about life and his experiences. He really tries to facilitate good class discussion, even though he gets so passionate about some things, it's hard to challenge him on them. But do it anyway! He appreciates it later.

I had him for psych. 101 and that made me want to take him again. He is a great professor and really talks to his class. He is amazing and has some great points of view. No homework other than 3 essays. He's great and its an interestgin class.

Defazio is the best professor i have ever had! he is so kind and really does care about his students! ive taking 3 classes with him and have never been disappointed! i dont have a class with him this semester and im missing him. TRUST me.. you will not be disappointed! you use your book alot for psy 101 but for ws 101 you dont even have one..

compared to other professors i don't see how anyone doesn't say he is an easy grader. it's almost too easy. just read the book, show up to every class, and take good notes. how hard is that? he is a progressive thinker, so the conservatives tend to feel uneasy, hence the few 1's he has received. just be open minded when you take his class.

I learned a lot in this class and it was very interesting. You don't really have to do anything except show up and know the vocab. I didn't agree with some of his opinions at all and I kind of got the impression that he likes to push his view points onto an audience. Just don't be so quick to believe everything he says.

I have taken four classes with him. Three of them I really did not need but he is so interesting that you will want to take all his classes. Please take him. You will not regret it. He is amazing.

My absolute favorite! Tests are open note/book every time, plenty of extra credit at the beginning, lots of movie scenes to help clarify. He appreciates discussion in class. Definitely my favorite!!

This man is the absolute greatest!I have taken 4 different classes with him. Psy 101,Soc 101, Woman Studies & Psy Thru Film.It is an experience of a life time to take his class.His classes are generally easy, informative, fun and interactive!!! What more do you want? Defiantly take him!

I've taken 3 classes with Carlo and he is an amazing teacher and human being. He will make you think differently about yourself and the world. His lectures make you laugh, cry and get pissed off. I can't say enough wonderful things about Carlo. I highly recommend any of his classes.

If you want an education through textbooks, don't take him. If you really want to learn about the world and its FACTS, TAKE HIM! I learned so much from him and his personallity.

Loved him! He was to the point and used modern day examples. His videos helped alot and if you take good notes from your study guide, the test are easy.

REGISTER FOR HIS CLASS RIGHT NOW. I was an observer for his class (notetaker) and HE CHANGED MY LIFE. He's relatable, kind, intelligent, passionate, gentle, experienced. COOLEST PROFESSOR EVER. He is very experienced and lets us learn from that. He is a very caring, deep person who helps anyone he can. I took another course by him because he is retiring next semester. It is women's studies, Race, class and Gender. He makes you want to get active and make a difference. It's a great learning experience.

Pros: Mr DeFazio runs a very flexible/relaxed class. Easiest A you'll ever get in college. Allowed us to take the test home! Cons: If you really want to learn the terminology, do not take his class, unless you're deciplined enough to read the book U'rself. Lectures R mostly personal experiences, old movie clips & other OLD documentaries. Too easy!

I feel that this rating is needed. Professor Defazio is fun, but is not made to be a teacher. There is absolutely no homework, no lessons, no learning, no rules. Just some sparse notes aside. Don't make the mistake I made. If you are serious about psychology, find another teacher, because this class is full of students who heard he was an easy A.

His class might be unconventional but I learned more from him than any other professor I've had. In the real world we learn by experience not what you learn from reading a book. That's what this professor teaches, he prepares you for the real world. Bookworms and sensitive people this class is not for you. Grow up first or be willing to.

This professor was fantastic. Like other users have said, if your looking for a challange, this is not your guy. There is no homework, no readings, take home test, attendance is not mandatory.he really is a GREAT teacher. I learned alot from his class. He'll talk to you about anything, and he'll make sure you understand. Def recommend.

If you want a ridiculously easy A, take him. 3 take-home tests and one extra credit were the extent of the work we had to do. Just don't say anything non-PC, pretend to agree with his liberal BS, and you'll be home free.

Very enlightening class. I took this while taking Bio223 & found this class to be a break bk to reality & realize the important things in life. I loved going to his class & hated when it ended. He cares much more about attendance & class discussion than recording lectures. Tests come from books, lectures come from life & help with life. I Recommend

Carlo is an amazing teacher. 2 thumbs up. I took this class before from another teacher and they bored me to tears. Not with Carlo. Every class is a new experience and I actually look forward to his classes. He doesn't sugar coat anything and lets you know the real deal. Two tests only and they are easy to take if u follow his lectures and notes.

I would absolutley take this teacher again. He is so great at what he does and such a great person to be around! He gave some of the best feedback about psychology that I've ever heard. TAKE HIM if you are looking to have an expierence with your class and not just read a book and answer questions. It's so worth it.

I really enjoyed this man's class. i appreciated his openness and lack of inhibitions to talk about what was important to him. he was funny and interesting, i suggest taking him as soon as you can! FYI, he will listen to what you have to say, as long as you have evidence to back it up. he doesn't say anything if he hasn't researched it himself.

Took this online. Real easy class as long as you keep up with the weekly assignment reading, quizzes, and discussion. Very organized and definitely recommend.

Took PSY 101 online with this prof. Very simple. 10-point discussion, and 20-point quiz every week on reading. Very simple class. He also gives random extra credit, its awesome if you miss a quiz or something. Take this class with this prof.

Online class, (1) 10 pt. discussion & (1) 20pt. quiz every week ( minus holidays). Gives extra credit, is super friendly, responds to emails quickly, and an all around great professor! I would recommend!

The best online class I ever took. Every week there is one discussion and one 10 question test which is very easy. The discussions he puts up every week contain very interesting material like videos and tests to find out more about yourself. EASY A!

Great professor, always gives feedback. Class was difficult for me, but it had nothing to do with the professor. Homework involved reading a chapter and taking a test, that was it.

My favorite Prof. of all time. Always nice and easy going. Loves his subject. Doesn't let people disrupt class. Gave him a book as a goodbye present. great guy.

There are 14 chapters with one quiz and short discussion for each and a 75 question final. This class is pretty easy because everything comes straight from the book. He gives you two tries on all of the quizzes and the final, so there's no reason anyone should fail this class.

I graduated years ago from CSN, but today there are few people who have influenced me in my studies the way that Professor Defazio has. He wouldn't know me from anyone else. This is not an endeavor to help an acquaintance. I just remember the sense of fulfillment and appreciation for having great instruction from an awesome professor.

Just finished his four week summer course. Discussions and quizzes each week. Nothing was too hard. Work load was very manageable for the short amount of time I had him. Enjoyed his discussions and would definitely take his class in person!

Honestly a great professor. He will work with you on anything & really cares about you understanding the material. Responds quickly, class is thought-provoking & there are many quizes & discussion posts required, but it's a great accelerated 4 week class for summer.

I followed my family to Vegas from Boston, MA and ended up at CSN rather than Boston College. I really didn't have high hopes and my first few teachers were rather mundane. Carlo provided an environment for a penetrating journey through the psychology of behavioral theories and the applications thereof. His teaching method is solid and inspiring

The EASIEST professor EVER. He was great! NO textbook required at all. Tons of quizzes but they're super easy. Just do the online reading and you'll be fine. Weekly discussion posts. Just be involved and you'll pass no problem.

The class is easy, but there is a lot of questions on quizzes and tests that are marked the wrong answer. When you email him, don't expect a reply quickly.

Class was very easy and the videos online were clear and understanding. There are a lot of quizzes which helps keeps your grade up even if you mess up on a couple.

TAKE THIS CLASS! if you have other classes you need to focus on, take this class. I have a 96% and barely did anything. I completed my assignments every Sunday, took me an hour. Grades fast too! MUST COMMENT ON OTHER PEOPLES POSTS to get 100%. BEST CLASS!

Defazio is a one-of-a-kind professor. The one thing he cares about more than his subject matter, are his students. His lectures are always a blast to partake in.

Carlo teaches the easiest class that I have ever taken. If you want an easy A then take him. He has 5 questions about a video as a homework. He also has about 4 discussion post that is a maximum of one paragraph. He also gives you a final exam that he created from past quizzes, so you are answering the same questions again. RECOMMENDED FOR EASY A.

His instructions were very clear on the assignments, I love him about that. And his powerpoints helped a lot too.

BEST ONLINE CLASS! I took his 8 week, online class and it was so simple! Discussions every week, video quizzes, and a test on every chapter. I recommend taking for an easy A.
