Very helpful, cares for students, extremely pacient, he will tutor you one to one and explain the math in many different ways until you get it, also he can read your face and tell if you don't get it and you are saying yes. Is a must take professor.

Professor Corona is so helpful, you would have to really make an effort to NOT enjoy learning in his class. He goes beyond the call of duty to make you understand math. He's even been known to show up on a Saturday, with breakfast tacos, before finals.

Corona is the man! I honestly do not think I would have enjoyed math if it was not for him. Fantastic at explaining things clearly. His tests are exausting, But you will be prepared for higher classes. Sign up early, his classes fill up fast!

Excellent Math Teacher, the best I have taken. He goes over all the material in class with in depth and easy to understand examples. Homework problems are optional, are only graded on the tests given. Lowest test grade is dropped, and he allows for extra credit on exams; great teacher.

Yes, prof Corona is a little tough on notation (at least in Linear algebra), but he goes out of his way to help you. And if you can't do calculus without a graphing calculator, then maybe you should go back to Algebra!

He is a morning person so if your not one dont take him in the morning. he is semi picky on the test but he does tell you ahead of time what he expects. has corny jokes but they are funny. if u dont understand something he will help you for as long as you need. gives out intersing problems which is what you will expect on the test. dont be afraid

Business Calculus is not an easy class. However, Mr. Corona is a really good professor. He is very willing to help his students when needed. Very clear at explaining things. Keep up with the HW from the very beginning, trust me! When he hands out the "interesting problems" before the test...STUDY THEM! Its almost exactly the same as the test.

Professor Corona is an excellent teacher. Challenging and helpful. I took this as an internet class and he made himself available for help. If you put the time and effort in and ask for help if you need it, your grade will reflect it.

Cal is not an easy course;however, this is probably the best math professor in SAC. it will be a lot of work, but at least you wont be fustrated because you dont understand the topic. he is helpfull and patient. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR. he gives review sheet with similar work than that of the test.

Carlos is teacher - though he may be a professor - he teaches. If you want to pass and he believes you he'll do anything and everything he can (legally) to help. You will know much more than you ever cared to know but that is the way he teaches and requires you to learn. Study study study.

Carlos is a great professor. He goes slow to make sure everyone understands everything. If you have questions he is more than willing to take the time to go over any one topic as long as it takes. Plus he's just a funny guy. He does have his "Carlos" problems that can be hard but if you study what he tells you to you'll do fine. He makes Cal fun.

Best teacher ever. I hate math and made an A. First college A in a class that actually matters. I earned it though he doesnt just give out grades. He teaches well and makes sure you understand. As long as you pay attention and ask questions he will wait and go over it again until you get it.

I think the guy means well but can be a bit condescending when teaching. Be prepared to do the work from the book (not graded) and there are no reviews for tests. He will tell you that you can sit in class and nod your head yes but do you really get it? Do your work and listen to him lecture and you might do well depending on your learning style

This Professor is here to teach. Prepare to work hard, because he has certain expectations. Personally, I think he's a great guy and I would absolutely take his class again. I paid attention and worked hard, and as a consequence, I learned a great deal.

His tests are from homework, and he gives good reviews. He will help you if you come by his office. Sometimes he seems condescending when you ask questions, but he will make sure you understand. Homework not mandatory, and he also gives bonus points. There are worse Cal profs at SAC

By no means is this class easy. If you're looking for an easy A or B this is not your prof. Yes, he is helpful but you won't pass this class without becoming an expert at calc.

Corona is very clear and makes sure everyone understands him. Class is relatively easy. Tests are taken straight from homework. His lectures can make you feel like you're a little kid. Offered replacement points. He lets the class pretty much determine how the class will be run.

He is an awesome instructor. I just did not like that their was no review for his exams ( to see how tricky his exams are). But i did gain so much knowledge because of him.

I LOVED this prof. He was super helpful. He would stay HOURS after class for those of the students who needed help and would work with us. If we weren't clear with his teaching, you just simply ask and he'll go over it slowly. I studied a good amount, but he makes reviews which are extremely similar to the test. I got an A+ with some extra work.

Prof. Corona is not any easy professor by any means. However, he gives a great conceptual presentation over the material. Additionally, he is very clear and precise about the subject matter that he covers. His test are challenging, although if you're willing to put in the effort the results will materialize. Mr. Corona is a really interesting guy, and he tells you right off the bat what kind of work you're getting yourself into. He has only done calculus 2 over the summer, so I don't know what it might be like from him in a regular 14 week semester, but he works you hard. And then harder. You won't get by easily, but you will definitely learn calculus.

I think Mr. Corona treats his students like they're in a graduate school. He's up close and personal but means no harm. I only recommend him if you're willing to get OUT OF YOUR WAY to understand the material & show up prepared ahead. His teaching style is about the concept and not so about the labor involved which can be overwhelming. Good Luck!

Professor Corona is a very Verbal/Auditory Instructor. Visual Students will have problems in his class. He will help and answer questions to those who have some, but he won't give the full answer, he'll only guide them (you) to the right direction. He uses book material along with GeoGebra software to illustrate applied math work on the coursework.

Best math teacher I have ever had. I took him for 1414 and 2412. He's very clear and helps you recall info if you need to. You WILL be a better math student if you take him. You have to memorize formulas for tests there are no formula sheets but you understand material better. You should take him!

There's no homework or quizzes, only tests. He's disorganized on the board, but he'll tell you exactly what's on the tests.

Teaches very professionally. Genuinely cares about his students as long as the students show respect and eagerness to learn.

He was very attentive to all of our questions. I enjoyed how his vocabulary was mathematically correct. EVERYTHING he taught us in this course is a great foundation for what I will be learning in graduate school. Even though he forced us to consider logic (which was quite difficult), corona is by far the best math professor I've ever had.

Professor corona is great. I am currently in is 1314 class and he explains throughly. Book is not required. Mymathlab is for extra credit. You can earn 10 extra points on each exam by doing the mymathlab stuff. If you dont understand what hes teaching you can simply ask him to explain and he will until you understand. Hes a great professor.

Carlos is an amazing teacher with a passion for helping his students. He does not require the book, but you should get it anyways for "replacement points". He is always willing to help. He will make you work for your grade. He is very nit picky about your work, but if you pass his class, you will know your stuff!

He is kinda try to be funny in class due to the long time period of class, but to me I don't get his jokes. He does grade hard. He didn't give extra credit, but he will drop the lowest grade if your final is better than that. You have to do homework online or do the extra work that he asked in class in order to get 10 points extra for every tests

Good but very hard class. If you want to learn the math theory behind everything covered in this course, then take him. Expect to study 2 hours a day. His tests are HARD ! ! ! You must make him show you how to do proofs and notation if you expect to do well on his tests. If you love math and the theory behind, then take him. Otherwise avoid.

First off, Corona is a great person. He is a very nice guy and a very fair person. However, in my stats class the only grades were the 4 tests that he gave. I personally did not like that. Additionally, he lectures from the slides, which is beyond boring. His lectures were just unbearable. I don't think he is a bad professor, just teaching style.

Great professor, one of the few for math. You have to put the work in by doing homework, even though it's not graded. Cramming will not allow you to succeed in this course due to few tests & final. Doing the extra credit will help, but not enough if you haven't done homework.

I took corona for calculus 1 which was very hard. To follow, I passed college algebra and pre-cal with a A. However, corona is a very nice man and teaches well but very few pass his class because he teaches old school. For example, he only gave 4 test which consisted 6-9 question for the entire grade with no homework and quizzes. Very Very hard

For those who have to take this class for any sort of pre-req health profession, take a big breath. It will be okay! Take Professor Corona, he understands that 95% of his basic statistics class (1442) are non math majors. He gives you the opportunity of extra credit, will go over tests one on one, and is a good person in general. Good Luck!

His tests are HARD. I took his course during the summer and got a B,but it was a lot of effort. He is great during office hours and will repeat info as many times and different ways as you need to understand. His grading is clear cut. Do the extra credit problems to help cushion you on exams.

Mr. Corona is an excellent teacher. The concepts were tough to understand at first and I had a difficult time following along. Like he says, "it's a different way of thinking." You'll need to know the theory behind what you are doing and it all makes sense the further along you get in the course. I got the book, it helped with definitions.

Professor Corona is the best math professor I've had since high school. He is very clear in his lectures and doesn't scold you or make fun of you if you mess up on the algebra in his Cal II class. I love that he started using mymathlab because it provides another way to see how problems are done and that tool saved me this semester.

I liked how he had online homework available for us to redo as many times as we needed. It helped me to understand the lecture powerpoint. He has everything available online for you and he is just there to clarify if you do have questions.

Professor Corona's lectures can be a tad boring, but he is such a nice guy and is very passionate about math and his students succeeding. He provides tons of extra credit, about 15 points for every exam. There are roughly 4 exams and 1 final in the semester. Don't bother buying a textbook, its all on connectmathcom. Definitely recommend him!

Professor Corona really takes time to make sure you understand the material he is presenting. The only way you will fail is if you don't try. He gives up 15points of extra credit on every test. He is super cute for an older guy and nerdy funny. He really cares about his students and wants you to be successful so his willing to help whenever!

amazing teacher I ever had in my entire math classes if you want a teacher who really cares about your succeed and pass with easy A OR B take him. there are 3 tests + final which all come from (interesting problems) no homework just do the interesting problems which are 10 to 15 questions before each test and you will pass with easy A OR B.

I have never considered myself a person who is good at math or can understand it and Mr. Corona changed that for me! Calculus is a hard subject but I never felt hopeless like I did in even my algebra classes. Homework is optional and online, but helps a whole lot if you do it. He is a theory guy and will make you see outside the box. Take him!!!!

If you want a professor who truly cares and wants you to pass I recommend this one! Homework is optional and if you do it, its considered extra credit that goes toward any exam you take. There are only 3 exams and one final, lets you use note cards for all the test and the final. Will sit down and help until you understand the material.

As someone who has a reputation of being bad at math, I was not expecting to do well in his class. However, I ended up doing pretty well and I believe it is because Prof Corona is fair, organized, funny, and above all an excellent teacher. He cares about his students and I wish I took more of my math courses with him.

Math is NOT a subject Im good at. He takes the time to explain everything and is easily accessible during office hours if youre having trouble. Hes personable and has a lot of motivating life experiences hes shared as well. Dont skip lectures unless necessary or youll fall behind-I did and it was hard to pull myself back up for a bit.

Corona is a great professor! He takes the time to explain clearly the material and he likes when students ask questions and engage. Grade is based only on 3 to 4 test + final. Homework are for extra-credit and they really helps you improve your exam grade. Take notes, do homework, ask question and you will be fine!

Hard NOT to get an A in this class. You have until the end of semester to finish HW. You get several attempts on the HW and quizzes. Only correct the questions you got wrong when re taking the quizzes. Easy extra credit opportunities. HW and quizzes online. Very nice guy you can tell he loves teaching.

Great Professor, most if not all assignments (except tests/quizzes) were due at the end of the semester. Goes in depth with the chapters and problems to help understand. As long as you do the work youll pass well.

Mr. corona is a really good teacher and really cares about your understanding of the math. he talks a bit too much so lectures can get off track. make sure you stay on top of your homework and quizzes because if you fall behind you can't really catch up. the tests aren't hard if you have an understanding of the material.

He has set up ways to redeem your grade throughout the course: Your test reviews will add points to your tests. Your final will be used to replace some lower grades.

Overall this professor is awesome. The only downfall is that the exams and quizzes are timed and will cost your grade. Everything is online, including the exams and quizzes.
