This was a great class to wet my feet. Essays were not that long. Keep track of your journal for an easy grade. He is considerate of your own time. He allows you to leave early as long as you give him a heads up and you have your work turned in. I recommend his class. He is easy going and doesn't mind answering your questions. Great Professor!

He was an awesome professor! He was lenient with attendance if you had a legitimate reason and was very understanding. You will make an A if you do your essays and make an effort, because he is extremely helpful. :)

He is a really great professor. I would take him again for English 1302 if i could but I'm switching schools. Has a good sense of humor and he likes to give his students feedback and help them with all essays.

Easy essay topics, 2-3 pages. A lot of writing but he grades fairly easy. Do the work and turn it in on time and you will get an A.

I have not enjoyed an English class this much in years until this semester. The assignments are not especially difficult, but are challenging enough to allow the writer to expand on his or her own thought.

All you need to do is show up !! I showed up late several times for personal reasons and he said its okay or i understand. Theres alot of papers but their easy !! you get to choose what you want to talk about. It was fun he cracks jokes and makes sure his apart of the class and you dont feel left out !! Im taking him again in the spring semester .

Mr. Palacios is simply amazing! he is very understanding, cracks joke, and down to earth. There is no homework, a couple of in class assignments. Gives you considerate due dates for essays and gives you positive feedback. I wish he would teach other classes, definitely makes learning easier.

Professor Palacios is the type of individual that stirs thought and original ideas from his students. He enraptures his pupils with his quick wit and ease of personality. He reminds me of Mr Garza another amazing professor from my accounting class.

Not a lot of homework. No test, all those grades are papers. His papers aren't hard and he does give extra credit if you have it looked over by the editor in the library. He makes everything simple and will help if you ask. You do write daily journals but they're not long at all.

Professor Palacios is the best and he's always prepared for the Purge.

Really funny and genuine professor. No tests. Only papers and book quizzes, if you have a book required. Papers are fairly easy and have broad topics. Final was just a longer paper. No textbook for the class I took. Only Streetcar Named Desire, that we read a chapter a week. As long as you turn in papers on time, you'll pass.

Great professor. He's pretty easy which is nice but I still feel like I learned something. Didn't use the textbook. Read Street Car named Desire but he has it online. Essays often but reasonable amount of time. Little readings with 5 questions. If you do your work than you should have no problem passing. I am taking him again for next semester.

Great class, had 4-5 essays 3-5 pages long. Final was a 5-7 argument essay. Some in class assignments, daily journal every now and then. Overall Great class.

He was a great teacher. very understanding and nice. if you were late on an assignment, just let him know and he would give you a chance to turn it in. he was very laid back. only thing is that he never learned my name. he kept calling me by a different name. lol I would def take him again

One of the greatest professors ever!!! Very funny and understanding. All his essays and book quizzes are easy A's. He does give you an outline for every essay and plenty of time to complete them. I took him for 1301 and I am currently taking him for 1302. Just turn in everything and I can guarantee you that you will not fail.

He's a great professor and a great person in general. He's very helpful with any questions you may have whether it be an essay or just a regular assignment. If you show up to class, you will most likely pass with an A. Everything is very simple and he is not a tough grader. The book is absolutely not necessary so you can save yourself the money.

I enjoyed his class, he was funny and very helpful if you didn't understand something. Essays were easy and so were the assignments. I say participate, do the work, ask questions and you should pass this class with a B if not an A . He works with you to makeup any assignments you may have missed for whatever reason. And the book wasn't needed.

Very fair professor. If you show up, do the work, and pay attention you should have no issues with this course. If I had anymore classes that I needed to take for English this man would be who I would go to. Work hard, don't be lazy and you will be fine.

Professor Palacios is easily one of the best teachers I have ever taken in my life. He is very helpful and asks any question you may have, no matter how stupid the question. Professor Palacios is passionate and understandable in what he teaches. Anyone needing help on who to take for Engl 1301 or 1302, take this class. He is a living legend.

I loved and I repeat I loved this class. I have taken him for both Engl 1301 and 1302 and passed with no problem. Attendance is required because he will have you turn in parts of your papers for a grade. Overall a very easy A. Take him. This will be the easiest English class you take. EVER.

Mr. Palacios is very understanding, make sure you communicate with him. He does a really good job in explaining his assignments and he goes through the details of whatever he expects in an assignment. If I am ever signing up for a class and I see his name I will definitely be choosing him as a professor. I have even recommended him to my pairs.

Professor Palacios is an awesome professor, he teaches the required material and does a great job at it by being involved and making the lectures interesting. He's bilingual so thats always a plus, and he's really understanding. You are required to read a novel, theres one group project and a few essays. Do the work require. I highly recommend him.

He is so funny! U write in a journal in class half a pg he gives the topic. He doesn't read them just makes sure u have them all. Easy grader he gives out the format of the paper and u get extra credit when u get it revised but if u do ur work trust me its not needed. U read a book, he gives u a copy. I made an 97 overall .TAKE HIM HE IS THE BEST!

Mr. Palacios is such a great teacher! He cares about your grade and helps you do anything to bring it up, let's you makeup work you missed or forgot to turn in. I took him online for engl 1301 and then in person 1302, I suggest you go to class in order to pass his class because participation is part of the grade. I highly recommend him!

He is a great professor. I learned a lot, his classes are awesome, the class is not boring. He is always available to help his students. He is doing always his job. You need to work, but if you do your job and you attend his class you can get a good grade without problem. Highly recommended.

Very late at grading things, doesn't respond to emails. He has three major essays that you do and the topics are horribly boring. I usually enjoy writing and typing but I did not like this class.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Easiest grade you will receive in your entire academic career. Show up to class, do the work, and you should be more than fine. He does take a while to grade papers and give feedback, however he is a very lenient grader and will give you the grade you deserve.

This was a very easy class, assignments were due every Friday, essays were very durable, no quizzes or tests just assignments out of the book, although it takes him awhile to grade essays and assignments, he is easily reachable through email.

I received a high A. It was an easy class but a waste of my time. I got zero feedback, guess its better than being a tough grader but I dont even think he read them, Idk...

This Teacher doesn't explain anything. He grades everything the week before finals so you really don't know what you make in your class until he posted the grades. The essays are 5-7 pages he really means 6 1/4 to 7 pages and no one knows why they got the grade they got. There's NO FEEDBACK! good luck!

The easiest English 1301 class you'll ever take. 5 papers all semester (Memoir,compare and contrast, visual analyst, group paper, research paper), a final over Streetcar named Desire(play you read), a few quizzes over the play, and a few journal entries. Take in person! Very lenient on late work. Don't buy the books, you won't need them.

For this class, I had three books and they were all used. There were at least 4 papers and other small assignments due. We didn't have any quizzes or tests besides the final and it was over something easy.

Really cool teacher and enjoyable class, be ready for the easy quizzes and do the homework and you'll get an A.

SUPER easy but a good professor, 10/10 recommend

Most of the assignments come straight from the book after you have read the chapters and answered questions. Essays every week due Friday. Overall the class was okay, but papers were not graded until nearly the end of the semester and there was no feedback. Easy A+.

I took Professor Palacios for summer 2 and would definitely recommend him to other students. He is always available after class if you have any questions or concerns. He is also very easy to talk to and even funny at times. He was organized with all the material we had to learn and get done. Get your work done and you will receive an A !

This class is very easy. Its probaly the easiest english class I've ever taken. The professor doesnt really like to talk much but he will explain what needs to be done effectively and then let you take control of your work. There was little quizzes and test and attendance is mandatory but people never show up for days and never get dropped.

such an easy to class to get a good grade in. just be on time and in class and turn everything in on time and you'll be good. he is also very lenient if you're on his good side.

Funniest Professor hands down. I wouldn't take English with anyone else. However be prepared for the slowest grading ever. I mean like you might not get a grade until a few days before the semester ends. If that bothers you heavily than I wouldn't recommend this professor for you. Also never used the textbook, waste of a rental.

Professor P is a great guy and cares about his students. I enjoyed having him last semester and would take his class again. There are a a lot of essays but thats what English is about. The class is fun and not boring, he tends to make jokes at times. He is one of my favorite professors.

Good teacher overall, your gonna have to write some essays and have one group project but he's not a harsh grader. If you have some problems within, or outside of class talk with him and he should try work with you. You dont need to buy a book, grades are put in late, and after 6 absences you might fail the class for lack of attendance, so show up.

Format: 2-3 weekly assignments, 1 essay/ week, final is a short paper on a play (can read it or audiobook). He grades very easily (im not the best writer and i got 100s or 95s on every assignment); but he is disorganized, hardly responds to emails, and a slow grader. You need the textbook (or someone to send you pages). Bad teacher, but easy A.

5 wks online class. 8 assignmts, 4 essays + final exam essay over a screen play. Hard to do in 5wks/online. Face to face probably better. No feedback for essays except: "great essay". NO grades until 4wks in, for 5 assignments only. Essay grades came in 1 day before final. I never knew where I stood in his class. No rubrics. Unclear instructions.

BEST professor, ever. Hands down. I learned so much from him and if I was able to take him again I would! Palacios makes sure you really understand the criteria and tries to help in every way possible!

I would take this class all over again if i could. He is a great teacher and will answer just about any question you throw at him. He is very understanding, He is one to ask you what is going on if you may be lagging behind a little which can be very helpful when getting back on track. He truly wants the best for his students!

Great professor. I took 8 weeks course and it was super easy. If you get low grade in any essay, go and talk to him. He will obviously gives you second chance to upgrade your grades. Four essays, 6 Journals and one final exam that's it then you done.

He is my favorite professor. If you do the work you will be guaranteed an A. English was never my strong suit but he makes it seem so easy. You have a midterm a final and about 3 essays and thats all youre graded on. Easiest course Ive ever taken. But dont be absent he is very strict with that rule. Other than that I highly recommend.

The class is really simple. He gives an assignment every week which is basically reading an article and answering questions on rare occasions you have to write essays. The class was easy. Although you dont need the textbook it helps sometimes(hardly ever I used it once). He doesnt really respond to emails quickly but its an easy class.

Summer 6 week course. You read 3 short stories & answer some questions, write a journal (1 page) & essay (3 page) for each. You also have to read a book (One flew over the cuckoo's nest) & write a 2 page essay which is the final. I saw the movie & made a 100 but there are some differences in the movie & book so make sure to research. SLOW GRADER

Professor Palacios class was definitely an easy A as long as you make sure you do what is assigned to you. Hes very caring and if you message him about extending a due date he will. He takes a long time to grade papers but as long as you turn it in on time you will have nothing to worry about. I highly recommend taking him!

Professor Palacios has been nothing but a remarkable professor. I am currently in his online class, and I have gotten all 100's. There are 10 assignments (1 per week), 4 essays that he gives you plenty of time to do, and one final. No textbook needed, he provides all PDF'S. I sincerely enjoy being in class, TAKE HIM!!

Professor Palacios's class was organized and enjoyable. He provides a novel and multiple short stories to write about. His grading rubric was clear and concise. The final was only a two page essay over the novel, which was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (not a pleasant book). An extremely easy grader, Professor Palacios was caring and respectful.

This rating is for ENGL 2351. He is amazing! He provides an outline for all essays that is very easy to follow. It's hard to fail this class. He follows his syllabus, gives straight to the point instructions, provides weekly words of encouragement and reminders. Total of 4 discussions, 4 essays, and 1 Final exam. I'd recommend his class to anyone!

Love Professor Palacios! He really wants you to succeed. I took him for a minimester and got a 98 in the class. 3 essays and 1 final exam essay over a movie. Easiest class I have ever taken. He tells you EXACTLY how to write the paper. Follow the guidelines and easy A. It took 2 hours for each paper.

i took this class as a 6-week summer class and enjoyed every minute of it.The syllabus outlines the whole class perfectly, no surprises. do the work and you will make the grade! the readings he picked were wonderful which made the assignments easy to complete. he also gives feedback on assignments and leaves no guess work.

I would definitely recommend taking his class. He responds quickly to emails. He wasn't grading assignments after 5 weeks, but he didn't grade hard on the assignments. If you do what is asked you will finish with an A. You don't write too many essays.

Took this class online and assignments for the month are put up at the beginning of each month after monthly essay is due. Very easy to complete especially if you use online resources to help on the assignments. Assignments are read this essay and answer 10 questions. 1 essay a month.

He's a good professor if you want to take an easy class. There are weekly reading assignments that are followed up by questions and about 5 essays. I didn't really learn much since he doesn't give any feedback and just a grade, but I was essentially able to do all my assignments the same day as the due date (including the essays).

This class is a breath of fresh air. He is nice and understanding. The semester's assignments are clear and he gives you plenty of time to work on his assignments even inclass time. There's only a couple of major papers and he works through them with you.

Prof. Palacios is an awesome professor. I have taken English 1301 before with other professors and none are like him. Prof. Palacios's classes and lectures are not confusing, very clear and he is very open if you want to ask him questions about an assignment or project. I definitely wish I would have taken his class the first time! 10/10

I took Engl 1302 over Winter Break and it was so worth it. There is an essay and an assignment assigned each week and a final paper due at the last week however I think this was a really good class. I had a family emergency pop up at the beginning of the course and Prof. Palacios was accomadating.

I took this class vv intimidated because my writing skills weren't the best. But, after his class, I learned a lot and improved my writing skills. However, he doesn't give feedback but his assignments were fairly easy. We had 9 assignments, and we read a book but I read 20 pages every night, a final essay over it, and two other (personal) essays.

Professor Palacios is a great English professor, and his online class was so well organized with clear instructions. Professor Palacios was also fast to reply to emails and his grading was fair. I would highly recommend this Professor!
