EXCELLENT INSTRUCTOR! Very thorough & clear. He lectures on everything that is on the test & takes role daily. His class is easy to make an "A" & he only gives 4 test your grade. I highly recommend his class & you will definitely learn about your government.

got a B in his class; pretty good teachers takes most of his test questions from notes but don't put off reading the book! has essay questions on tests but lets you know which ones he will put so you can prepare. sometimes adds points on tests if a lot of people missed a question on tests. overall, good, easy teacher

HE's soo cool, he teaches everything that is gonna be on the test, so u dont really have to read the chapters. Just take good notes or get them from someone that does, and try to go to class cause he does take role EVERY SINGLE DAY, even the day of the final, I thought that was crazy and unneccessary, but he's GOOD, GOT AN A!

You're in school to learn, not to get grades that you do not deserve. Just because HCC is an open-enrollment college, doesn't mean you belong there.

Easy prof. Just go to class, get lecture notes, study... you'll get an A or B. Gives you free time the first 15 mins to study, but dont let him catch you talking during those free 15 mins or he may threaten to give a quiz. Sometimes lets you out early, depending on his mood and class participation. overall, Excellent prof!

He Is Hot i could not keep my eyes off him for the 1st couple weeks he is a great teacher he makes gov't easy you'll use the book alot but taking note and listening is a major key 2 passing his class. i took this professor for govt 1 and 2 and made an A both times. He is very clear on what he wants u to know on the test which arent hard at all if u put in a little effort. He is very easy going and understands students well! Highly recommended!

GREAT TEACHER! keeps the class upbeat and fun! calls on you so do the reading also he comes 15 mins late so you can "read" the assigned pages so dont stress about being late. test are off the review packets.

Finally I got the college experience of my dreams. I mean, I know I might never get a better college learning experience than I had with Mr. Pierott. People don't get this lucky enough times in one life time, they just don't. You've got to take this guy.

Good easy professor. I learned alot about government and the class is easy. He gave four tests over the summmer and cancelled the paper at the beginning to the term. Just show up to class, since he takes attendance, and study somewhat for the exams. Material on the exam is mainly from the notes, but still need the textbook if you want an A.

SUCH A GOOD TEACHER! i wish he taught other subjects not only govt!he explains everything so well so that it is easier to understand. the test basically come from the lectures and papers he passes out. you do the papers for homework and he goes over every question and elaborates so that you have the right answer for the exam. TAKE HIM!!

Took both Govt classes with him. He is thorough, to the point, very helpful, not to mention VERY intelligent. He really knows his stuff! doesn't just give away grades, but with his way of teaching he doesnt have to...very clear and precise.

One of HCC's best, hands down. His lectures are amazing, and you really learn the material. He's very fair as far as grading. As long as you read you'll have no problems at all! If you need to take GOVT 2301 or 2302 this is the class you need to be in, but sign up quickly, 'cause his classes fill up fast!

Good prof, but a little hard. I made an A in his class, but only cuz i paid attention & read the book. No extra credit! No drop grade! No review! Only have four tests and the last test is ur final. He teaches really well that he makes you understand everything crystal clear. Learned a lot in his class, but for the test you have to read the book.

Best professor I've had! Very thorough on what he wants us to learn and makes class VERY interesting! Class attendance in mandatory and tests are right from the notes. He even squeezes in extra credit points once in awhile.

The comment below mine isn't 100% true. I just finished taking this class and he is not 'so suck'. He comes in 30 min. late to give you time to study - which is useful on test days or days you're running late. He gave us a GOOD review for EACH test. He does add things from the lectures; so use the extra 30 min. to figure out what those things are.

Generally, he is a good teacher. But, as someone said, he just comes up with the main ideas in the lecture. so, you have to read a lot in your text-book. Do not pass any detail in your book because it is very important to do well in his exam. sometimes, I have to say... his tests are hard. (for someone does not background about GOVT)

Great teacher, i didnt even open my textbook or answer the essay portion on any test and still ended up with a B. The multiple choice is easy if you listen a little, id even miss a lot of days and get almost nothing wrong.

He is a really good teacher, His lectures are really interesting. Your grade is made up of 4 tests, with short answer questions on each test. What you get on your test is the final grade. He dose not curve or anything like that. Basically just attend his lectures. Do his study questions and read some of the readings and u should get an A

I can say i disliked gov b4 taking this class. But he really does a good job in lectures & made it interesting for the students. I learned a lot more than i did all these years lol..the tests aren't that hard there's essay portions but if you listen in class, you'll know what to write. He influenced me and i might go vote in the next election lol

Just do as he asks and you will succeed, can be tough at times but it's all worth it. You need to read and go to class everyday. He's really understanding and cares about his students. TAKE HIM!!!!

This guy is super awesome, I haven't had a professor that is so good in awhile, probably the best gov teacher at hcc. Gives you notes to study, the notes are what will be on the tests..NO QUIZZES OR WRITING ASSIGNMENTS!!! So interact in class and you'll get an easy A!

He loves government and politics. He gets very involved in the class with discussions. The tests are multiple choice with one or two short answer questions.

He is great! If you attend and take notes you'll definitely get an A. I never thought I'll ever be able to survive such classes but with him it was very interesting. Discussions in class were so helpful and so much fun. No one drops his class so hurry and sign up for it. I'll for sure take 2302 with him.

Okay professor. Lectures are boring, but they are usually on tests. Some textbook. This semester seemed like he was always rushing and out of time though. But despite my low interest, I got an A. As long as you listen and write (which is not that much either), you'll be fine.

Carlos was one of the best instructor's I've had in my academic career. He's one of the few teachers left that truly teaches just because he loves to do it. 4 tests. Each one worth 25%. He provides you study notes(what to focus on) a few classes before the test, the majority of the questions come from the study questionsbook. Amazing lectures.

Carlos pierott is one of the best professors at hcc and by far the best gov teacherprof i've ever had. The class is easy as long as you pay attention, take notes, and at least go over the chapters. He gives you study packets and his tests are multiple choice. final's not over the whole semester, it's just another test that's over certain chapters

If you don't like politics, this man will make you love it! He knows the deal. He provides the good, the ugly within our government. His test are standard, pay attention and you'll pass! He's also understanding, gives you time to prepare before class starts. He's simply amazing! Take him, you won't regret it!

He's a really clear and to the point teacher. Knows his stuff, but the tests you need to study for from his study guides he gives you. You DON'T need to purchase the book if you just pay attention in class (make sure you do, he makes class interesting) and just use his study guides. No homework, but just 4 semsester tests. Good teacher overall.

Awesome teacher! He is down to earth, likes class participation. He is not like other teachers I had this semester that just read off a power point on and on and on. I got 100%, A, GPA 4.0 in this class. Must stress that participation matters. He loved my class because we were very responsive, answer all the questions he asked, and actually showed an interest. Apathy will not fly with this prof. Extra credit available and also free bonus points for the entire class if ya'll are really good! Reading helps too.

I took him during summer. Very caring professor. Class can get boring sometimes but other than that he is a very good professor. I recommend him very easy A. Grade consist of 4 exams and 2 writing assignments.
